Cara Delevingne was one of the later arrivals on the Met Gala red carpet but she stood out since she was painted gold. She looked like an inept Bond villain. I dont know if our ad company will let us get away with posting these photos since shes basically wearing pasties and some jewelry. The cane is very Monopoly Man. Caras pants and jacket are Dior.
Speak of inept Bond villains, Elon Musk went to the Met Gala with his mom, who was in a Dior gown. La La Anthony asked him what his plans were for Twitter and he said he wanted more diversity on the platform (bullsh-t, he means more fascists) and that he wanted more people on it in general.

The Louis Vuitton people were some of the first people on the Met Gala carpet and I have no idea why! LV screwed it up, as they usually do. We should have known as soon as Emma Stone walked out of the hotel in this simple white slipdress. I mean, it?s not hideous at all, but for the Met Gala? For ?gilded glamour,? you?re going to give Emma Stone this little slipdress?
Chloe Moretz had my favorite Louis Vuitton. It seemed more like an interpretation of that famous Sarah Jessica Parker Met Gala look, but I enjoyed the vibe. The coat is great.
Gemma Chan in an absolute disaster. My God.
Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas. They never came out and said ?we?re expecting again,? but they seem fine with the conversation. Sophie is a lovely pregnant lady and her dress looks comfortable. That?s all I?ll say.
Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton. My second favorite LV look after Chloe?s. It is genuinely glamorous.

Say what you will about Sarah Jessica Parker, but she gives a crap about the Met Gala and the gala?s themes. We can fight with her about how she interprets the themes and how she tends to go overboard, but I can?t fault her for caring. SJP wore Christopher John Rogers, a look which absolutely veers towards looking like a costume. This would be perfect on Bertha Russell on The Gilded Age. So that?s how SJP interpreted the theme to wear an actual costume based on The Gilded Age. And I can?t fault her for it, it?s actually really cool? She also wore so many hairpieces!!
Olympian Chloe Kim wore Giambattista Valli. I love this? It?s a big dress, it?s glamorous, the vibe can easily be interpreted to gilded glamour. It?s cool to see her at this event too.

Donatella Versace dressed so many people for the 2022 Met Gala, and she even let a select few go into the Versace archives. Gigi Hadid got a ?new? design, a design from Donatella. Gigi wore? vinyl pants, a corseted bustier top and one of the biggest puffer coats you?ve ever seen. It feels like she just didn?t care about the theme and she was like ?futuristic aliens, right?? She went Blade Runner instead of The Age of Innocence. From the neck up, she looks great though. Great makeup and I love her hair.
Cardi B and Donatella walked the carpet together and it was super-cute. Cardi?s Versace was this intricately detailed gold number. She?s gilded, I?ll give her that. (Cardi also seemed like she was having a blast, which was nice.)
Olivia Rodrigo wore the saddest fking Versace look. I don?t know if this was last minute or everyone else got the better Versace looks, but this is just? not good.
Emily Ratajkowski got an archival piece from which was part of Gianni Versace?s 1992 collection. Does anyone else wonder why Donatella let Emily wear such a special archive piece? It?s weird, right?

Blake Lively cares. She cares about fashion, and she wants to support designers and they want her to wear her clothes. Personally, I think Blake makes most high-fashion look downmarket and like she got it from the mall. So it was with this Versace look, which she wore to the 2022 Met Gala. Blake & Ryan Reynolds are regulars at the Met Gala, and this year they were co-chairs for the gala. First, a word about Ryan: he looked spectacular, like he stepped out of The Gilded Age. His Ralph Lauren tuxedo was velvet and a rich chocolate brown. As for Blake? her interpretation of American Fashion/Gilded Glamour was to wear a reversible/two-part Versace which was supposed to invoke the Statue of Liberty. As in, bronze when Lady Liberty started out, then oxidized into a greenish blue color. She ?transformed? on the steps. It was all a bit much, but whatever. At least she thought it out.
Gabrielle Union also wore Versace. This was fine many women just went with ?big, sparkly dresses? and that?s a legitimate interpretation to me. She looked lovely. I love that Dwyane Wade brought some heat.
Lily James just wore a relatively simple Versace dress. It looked nice on her.

Truly, I didn?t believe the rumors. For weeks now, people have been theorizing that Kim Kardashian would wear Marilyn Monroe?s iconic ?Happy Birthday Mr. President? dress to the Met Gala. I thought ?no, that?s impossible, it?s probably in the hands of some private collector.? I was wrong. The dress which Marilyn was famously sewn into on the night is part of the Ripley?s Museum, and they lent it to Kim? briefly. Kim was very careful with this iconic piece of fashion history, to her credit. She never intended to wear the dress for more than the length of the Met Gala carpet, and that?s just what she did. She changed into it just before the carpet, walked the carpet and then changed into a replica in a bathroom/dressing room before entering the museum. Kim was adamant: she never intended to sit down or eat in the dress. So it?s fine. It looked good on her honestly. She?s short and curvy like Marilyn, so the dress fit her like a glove. Oh, and Pete was her date. Do you think he even realized that they were out of Washington and this wasn?t the WHCD?
Bonus: Kris Jenner in Oscar de la Renta, trying to channel Jackie O. I actually appreciate the fact that Kris mixed it up and went for a real Americana look, but I kind of think she was off-theme and? whatever. Her jewelry was fking gorgeous though, her diamond earrings were HUGE. (Oh God I just realized that Kim did Marilyn and Kris did Jackie, what a MESS.)
