The "Gossip Girl" actress happened to be launching a new line of hair cosmetics for Herbal Essences - as she's the new face of the brand.
Of her own hairstyle preferences, Leighton previously told WWD, ?I try different looks and I?m happy that I can achieve them and not look like a clown. I like to have fun with hair and makeup. I?m lucky because expressing my personal style is fun and I have fun with it. Everyone should love their own look. Don?t copy; do your own thing.?
Miss Meester made the trip to Spain from New York City, as she was was busy earlier in the week attending the Costume Institute Gala with boyfriend Sebastian Stan.

Making what he feels to be the correct business move, Sean "Diddy" Combs attended a press conference at The Standard Hotel in new York City on Wednesday (May 5).
The hip-hop mogul happened to be announcing his partnership with Macy's to exclusively sell his exclusive brand in Sean John.
According to WWD reports, "The retailer will be the exclusive department store distributor of Sean John men's sportswear beginning with the spring 2011 season. The line, which will feature new standards for fit and workmanship, will be available in 400 Macy's doors and on macys.com beginning in October, with more doors to be added in coming years.
In joining up with Macy's, Diddy joins exclusive company in designers such as Tommy Hilfiger, Martha Stewart and the upcoming Material Girl juniors line from Madonna.

In the drawn out legal issues Lindsay Lohan has brought upon herself, it is now being reported that she did not attend the required number of alcohol education courses.
Not helping her cause, it is also being said that school officials are saying Lohan has a ?bad attitude? and ?entitlement issues.?
TMZ broke the story that Lindsay is bound for jail because she hasn't been in alcohol education class at least once a week -- as required by the court.
But on the contrary, Lindsay?s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, says, "Ms. Lohan is on track to complete her alcohol program within the time frame set by the judge, and any classes she missed were made up for."

Yesterday, Demi Moore was in Washington to work on behalf of ending child trafficking. It?s Demi?s big issue, it?s her big cause, and if you use the word ?pimpin?? in jest on your Twitter, Demi will verbally cut you, bitch. But I get it, it?s a good cause, and Demi seems to have handled her Washington visit the right way, using her celebrity in an effective way to draw attention to her cause. The Washington Post praised her, and ABC News covered the crux of the trafficking issue, and left Demi?s quotes at the end of their reporting, which seems like a win. Demi?s big quote from the panel discussion was: ?I think many Americans are more willing to accept that there are girls enslaved in Cambodia or Delhi, and really can’t imagine that it’s happening right here. As a society, we owe it to them to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.” Politico also did an extensive piece on her visit, with an interview (I’m sorry it’s so long, but I thought it was interesting!)
Demi Moore was watching television one night a couple of years ago with her husband, Ashton Kutcher, when they stumbled upon an Dateline piece on MSNBC on the sex trade in Cambodia. Both Moore and Kutcher were instantly captivated.
“It has these five, six, seven year old girls who were enslaved and forced to engage in sex acts with adult men,” Moore said in a lengthy sit-down interview with POLITICO on Tuesday, as she traveled from Capitol Hill to the White House. “I think it just really took us. It hit us in a really deep place.
“As a mother of three girls, I looked at these little girls who had Barbie lunch boxes in the room with the undercover cameras and I tried to grasp the reality that they’re being forced to give oral sex to an adult man,” she continued. “It was incomprehensible. And we just thought, we can’t live in a world without doing something.”
Moore says she and her husband tried to educate themselves on the issue. As they did, “it was like opening Pandora’s box.”
The actress said they were shocked to learn just how much of a problem child sex trafficking is in the U.S.
“We had no idea the magnitude of the issue of modern day slavery and had absolutely no idea what was happening here in America,” she said. “The numbers were so overwhelming.”
On Tuesday afternoon ? after traveling from New York (Kutcher remained there to be honored at Tuesday night?s Time 100 dinner) ? Moore had her first big lobbying experience in Washington. She met with lawmakers in both chambers, spoke at a forum, and huddled with White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and other top White House aides to talk about the issue. (White House senior adviser David Axelrod also stopped in to say hello.)
“Demi was very impressive,” Jarrett told POLITICO after the meeting with Moore and some actual victims of sex-trafficking. “? I was very moved by the two young women who accompanied Demi,? she said. ?Their willingness to share their painful and deeply personal stories helped us all understand the atrocities so many young girls face on our streets every day.”
Jarrett also said that she looked forward to continuing the conversation and visiting some of the victims in New York “so that we can better understand how we can help stop domestic human trafficking of girls.”
Moore admitted to being “a little nervous” on her maiden D.C. lobbying trip. And she knows she has “a long haul” ahead of her to raise people?s awareness.
“It’s not a popular [issue],” Moore said. “There isn?t anyone who disagrees that it’s unacceptable [but] people don’t treat it like a top priority. In general, it’s like the dirty little secret.”
At the forum, Moore sat alongside the sex trafficking survivors and talked about changing the “cultural stereotypes.”
“As a society we owe it to them to do everything we can to ensure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else,” she told a packed audience that included Rep. Chris Smith (who pointed out that ?Ghost? was one of his favorite movies), Hill staffers and members of advocacy groups.
“We are focusing on the effect and not the cause,” Moore told the crowd. “And we’ve bought into the myths, I think, collectively as a society that the girl is choosing it, she likes it, she’s making a lot of money. And, I tell you, you go into a room of 13-year-old girls and ask them to raise their hands if they want to be a prostitute and then tell me if they’re gonna choose it, and I guarantee you that none of them will be raising their hands.”
Moore said she would like to see laws increase the penalties for sex traffickers and also secure greater funding to help rehabilitate victims. She said she has been working with the Department of Homeland Security on the issue and that she and Kutcher are currently working on a public service announcement about sex trafficking too.
The actress said she is also helping to put together a task force called the DNA (short for Demi and Ashton) Trafficking Tech Task Force which will include “some of the brightest minds of Silicon Valley” –from Google, Twitter, Facebook and Craigslist” — to help with the issue.
“Technology has enabled the problem, but technology can be used to solve the problem,” she said in the interview. “For those abusers and predators online, they better watch out. We’re looking to expose the anonymity by which they are taking comfort.”
For now, Moore said she feels good about her daytrip to Washington. But she wants to see “results not just conversation.”
“Words are cheap if they’re not backed by real action,” she said. “But that requires tenacity.”
Still, she added, “My husband and I are both committed to the long haul, and I don’t see this as a quick fix. I think, whatever it takes, whether it’s 30 days or 30 years, we’re both in it.”

I understand (from watching Law & Order: SVU) that the internet has become ground zero for child predators, and I could see how technology companies could be helpful and effective in ending child trafficking and the cyber-predating of children. However, what is needed even more is for state and federal laws to catch up with the technology, and we need fully funded cyber police units in every state. Every time I read about this issue, it?s in the context of underfunded cyber police units, and how the laws aren?t catching up to the technology.

Speaking of crack shenanigans, Dina Lohan told Radar that it was ?an absolute lie? that she and Lindsay were partying and drinking at the Chateau Marmont just hours before Lindsay?s depo. However, if she has in fact violated the terms of her probation, I will be asking the judge for a significant jail time.” Radar also points out that it is at the judge?s discretion as to whether or not Lindsay will be facing jail time, and that Lindsay?s progress report has yet to be completed. A source told Radar that the lawyers and judge met for 45 minutes yesterday, and that the judge ?will be looking very closely at Lindsay’s attendance at her alcohol awareness classes, which she was ordered to attend once a week. We are told that even if Lindsay were to attend classes regularly for the next several weeks leading up to the May 20th progress report hearing date, it might be too late for Lohan to avoid the ire of Judge Revel. Judge Revel has made it very clear to Lindsay at previous hearings that if she were to violate terms of probation, she would be going to jail.?

Jennifer Lopez is still promoting The Backup Plan, which didn’t fare too well at the US box office and was bested on its opening week by How to Train Your Dragon, already in its fourth week at that time. The film cost $35 million to make and has only grossed $23 million in two weeks. Some outlets are asking where Lopez’s career can go from here. The Backup Plan is out in the UK on May 7, so Lopez is dutifully giving interviews overseas. She spoke to Marie Claire UK and again she’s kind of impressing me with how down to earth and normal she sounds. The twins have definitely humanized her, but the fact is that she isn’t in as much demand anymore and she just can’t be the exacting diva she once was.
J.Lo talked about her two of her exes, Diddy and Ben Affleck, and said she wishes them well and will exchange pleasantries with “Sean” when she runs into him. It doesn’t sound like she’s on as good terms with Affleck, who canceled their wedding at the last minute, but she doesn’t talk smack about him either. She also addresses the diva stories about her earlier career, and she’s hardly convincing when she tries to explain it as people trying to “make you comfortable.” I love how she explains how she eats and just says she eats what she wants in very small portions. That’s realistic and a much better way to deal with food than going on fasts and cleanses like so many other celebrities. She also talks about how she got together with Marc Anthony, and seems to conveniently forget that he was married with two young sons at home when their relationship revved into full gear.

The tabloid response to the Bennifer phenomenon made it seem like it was just another arm of Lopez Enterprises. Inside, however, Jennifer says it was very real.
‘The tabloids covered those times heavily, but when I look back I know those were real parts of my life. That’s what maybe confused people - it seemed like something that was made up and crazy, but there was real genuine feeling in all those relationships.’
Does she keep in touch or follow their careers?
‘Would I see a movie of Ben?s? Sure! Why not? I haven’t seen him or talked to him in a while - our lives went in two very different directions. But I always wish him the best and I always thought he was a great person. And Sean - I’ve run into him once or twice, with Marc, and it’s always very friendly. He asks about the twins because he has twins too. Again, I always wish him the best.’…
On her reputation as a diva
We talk about her reputation as something of a diva. A week earlier, at the marie claire cover shoot, there had been much delicious speculation as to exactly which Jennifer Lopez would turn up on the day. One of the studio technicians claimed he’d worked with her ten years previously, when, she allegedly demanded four separate rooms for changing, each adorned with a different type of particular flower. In the event she arrived accompanied by minimal, was incredibly warm and friendly to all, and, in the afternoon, even brought along her twins to watch their very famous mom in action.
So was there any truth in rumours such as insisting her coffee has to be stirred the right way or her hotel room bed must be strewn with feathers? ‘No!’ she laughs. ‘I mean…. when you’re in our position and working as much as I was at that time people try to make you very comfortable, because you’re the worker - and they want you to keep working.’…
On the frenzied fascination with her curves, her derriere in particular,
Of all the fuss, she recalls: ‘I was always very comfortable with who I was. Confident. I’ve never looked at myself [my body] in a negative way.’
Nowadays she likes to do weights, and run through the horse trails of her new neighbourhood. Then there?s the food…
‘Just like anybody I try to watch what I eat - there’s no big science to it, which is what sucks. One of the good tricks is to have a goal ? for me it may be getting in shape for a video shoot. The other is portion control. I love to eat everything and you pretty much can - a little piece of something fattening is not going to kill you. It’s when you eat the whole box that it’s going to kill you. If you can learn to not eat till your stomach feels full and gross, then you can pretty much control your life in that area.’
Had she not had a husband, would she have considered becoming a single mother?
‘For me, I always had the fairy tale in my head where you get married, have kids and do all that kind of stuff,’ she says. ‘But I also think it’s a wonderful thing for women who haven?t had babies and get to a point in their lives and have that option. As a woman, I think it’s the best thing that can ever happen to you.’
On Marc Anthony
Prior to that, the best thing that happened to Jennifer was living her very own Harry Met Sally by navigating that treacherous route from friend to lover with latin singing superstar Marc Anthony, the man who?d been her confidante for many years.
‘I think there was always this very strong chemistry with Marc and I from the very beginning, and he was always letting me know that,’ she says. ‘Since we first met I always felt that, if I got into trouble, he was the one person I could call and he would always be there. That to me is love in its purest form.’
I ask if moving from friend to lover was an awkward journey. She says no, that there was always an attraction there, and lets slip that it wasn?t the first time they?d ever been romantic.
‘We kind of did [get together] in the beginning,’ she admits. ‘We saw each other for a little bit, then kind of went our separate ways for many years because we were both in different places in our lives. Now we have the kind of love with no question mark.’

In terms of how she met Marc Anthony, the truth is that he was married to the mother of his two sons, Dayanara Torres, at the time. Anthony and Torres had gone through one separation since their marriage in 2000, but had recommitted to their relationship with a commitment ceremony in December, 2002. It was when Anthony collaborated with his old flame Lopez on a music video in 2004 (for Shall We Dance) that he decided to divorce Torres. He married Lopez just a week after his divorce was finalized. In her 2008 self help book, Married to Me: How Committing to Myself Led to Triumph After Divorce, Torres talked about staying in bed for days after Anthony left her, but she never mentioned her ex husband by name or discussed his (alleged) affair with Lopez. There could have been a very good financial reason for her silence.
I’m not hating on Lopez, I’m just putting her words into context. While she may have been single and in a “different place” when she met Anthony, he was married with kids at home and he put all that aside for their “strong chemistry.” It may have been easy for Lopez and Anthony to get together, but it wasn’t painless for the wife and kids he left behind.

Gwyneth Paltrow is starting to approach Megan Fox levels of inappropriate disclosure in this latest media tour for Iron Man. She’s not making ridiculous blanket statements in an attempt to get press, but she is giving too much information about her insecurities. Yesterday we heard her say that she would “lose her marriage” if she focused too much on her career, and in another new recent interview she goes on at length about some supposed miniscule amount of weight she gained recently. Now I remember reading that Gwyneth had gained weight while filming in Nashville a few months ago, but if that was the case we never saw any photos of her looking even slightly larger and she lost it quickly - maybe by drinking vegetable juice concoctions with exotic rare ingredients for a few weeks.
In this Parade interview Gwyneth talks about how she’s just like us because her son pointed to her “fat” stomach. Please - Gwyneth’s “fat” is my dream goal weight and a size 2. She also makes the statement that “you have the power to look however you want. Are you going to wake up and make yourself do it and lose the weight you need to lose?” This perhaps says more about how she feels about both her body and the rest of the populace than anything she’s said to date. We could all be as skinny as her if we just “woke up” and got our asses in gear. Yes, we could all be as skinny if only we had all that free time and resources at our disposal along with an unhealthy obsession with our bodies. As Kaiser wrote to me “She has serious issues with her body and with dieting.”
IN GREAT SHAPE FOR RUNNING IN HEELS
“I don’t think life is worth living if I can’t eat food and drink wine and have cheese and all that stuff. But it’s just about knowing, ‘OK, I’ve got this coming up where a lot of people will see how I look, so if I want to be in shape, I’ve got to be disciplined and I’ve got to work extra hard.’”

“When I was working on Love Don’t Let Me Down I went to Nashville to play a country western singer. I ate so much and such different food that my son actually told me that my stomach was fat.”

Sometimes I work hard and sometimes I slack hard. Then, my son points to my fat tummy and then I step it up. I think it’s just about knowing that you have the power to look however you want. “My girl, we play dress up, she likes me to curl her hair and we play with dolls, and my boy is with his punching bag and his soccer ball. I love them both so much, but I think there is something special between a mother and a son and a father and a daughter; it’s very sweet. When I see my daughter with my husband, it’s like her eyes get all big. They both love music and they’re into it. Music comes out of my son, it’s like he goes into another world.”
HAPPY TIME
“I think that I really got a lot happier when I realized that, as corny as it sounds, the simplest things in life have made me so happy, like slowing down, cooking for my family, having kids that are healthy. The relationships that you have make you happy. My children keep me so awake and I find it very heartening in a way, too. I mean, it’s great to have success, it’s great to have money. I don’t want to give it away, but I know that if it was taken away, if I had my family, I would be OK. I guess I’m not scared the way I was in my 20s, when I thought it was all about success and I had to be a successful person. In London, I have a very quiet domestic life, so to come here and do something like this is fun. It’s nice to dress up and pretend to be like Gwyneth Paltrow.”

I think Gwyneth means well, and that she really thinks she’s “helping” us with her trite new age advice and extreme diet regimens. It’s just that she’s so condescending when she talks about her life, like she has no idea what it’s like to work a regular job and will never care. We’re just all so fat and if we would follow her advice we’d be as skinny and happy as she is. She has to keep repeating herself and telling us about how she did it so that some of us can earn enlightenment at the hungry altar of Goop.

Having spent the day in court for a deposition, Lindsay Lohan continues to try and wade her way through her numerous legal woes.
Joined by her mother, Dina, the "Georgia Rule" actress arrived at the interview about 20 minutes late on Tuesday (May 4) after skipping out on the two previously scheduled sessions.
Stemming from a drunken Los Angeles joyride back in 2007, Lindsay is currently being sued by her three male passengers - who claim to have been held hostage while LiLo cruised around the streets before being arrested.
Meanwhile, it's being reported by Radar Online that Lindsay's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, met with Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers and Judge Revel for about 45 minutes to talk about a possible probation violation.
With claims that Lindsay hasn't met her alcohol course requirements, Miss Meyers said, "I don't know yet if Lindsay has indeed violated probation. If she hasn't violated probation, I will be very happy for her and send her on her way."
Meyers added, "However, if she has in fact violated the terms of her probation, I will be asking the judge for a significant jail time."
