Carrie Underwood welcomed her second child, son Jacob, not even two months ago, on January 29. She has a tour coming up in May and events to prepare for along with a four-year-old at home, Isaiah. Shes got to be feeling the pressure to prepare and along with that comes body image issues. Carrie posted an Instagram from the gym along with a message about how shes not going to be as hard on herself for not snapping back as quickly as she did with her first baby.
Heres the photo and Ive pasted the caption below so that its easier to read:
View this post on Instagram
I?m going to be honest, ?bouncing back? after having Jacob has been much more difficult than after I had Isaiah and I?ve been pretty hard on myself lately. I go into the gym and I can?t run as fast or as far. I can?t lift as much weight or do as many reps as I could a year ago. I just want to feel like myself againfor my body to feel the way that I know it can. As I was working out today, I realized that for the past 11(ish) months, my body has not belonged to me. It was a perfect home for Jacob. And even now it belongs to him every time he drinks his milk. As I prepare for red carpets and for life on tour, right now I make a promise to myself to start appreciating what my body CAN do and stop focusing on what it can?t. I promise to stop analyzing every angle and every curve and every pound and every meal. I?m going to keep staying the path because it is a journey and as long as I?m always working towards my goals, one day I?ll reach them. I?m going to take it day by day, smile at the girl in the mirror, and work out because I love this body and all it has done and will continue to do! #bodyafterbaby #fitmom #healthy #staythepath @caliabycarrie

| Jennifer Lopez on A-Rod: 'He knows my dreams and I know his dreams' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

You know what I enjoy? I enjoy the fact that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are both richer than God and they still take on cheesy advertising contracts for some extra cash. I also enjoy the fact that Jennifer Lopez would never speak to People Magazine about her engagement UNTIL she had to shill for her new sponsorship. That?s how People got Alex and Jennifer on the record in this week?s issue they?re shilling for their joint contract with Australian eyewear label Quay. People Mag even got an exclusive first look at their print ad (you can see it here). Because Jen and Alex are total pros, they also gave People some quotes about the engagement. Some highlights:
J-Rod says they?re happy: Jen says, ?We?re really happy.? Alex says, ?We have [an] appreciation for where we are in our lives today, and that?s what we?re enjoying the most.?
Jen on Alex: ?Everything that we do, we do together. He knows my dreams and I know his dreams, and together we feel like we?re stronger.?
Jen on Miami: ?We all come down here and it?s our city, it?s our second home.?
Alex will be around while Jennifer works: ?I don?t have to play 162 games anymore, so I have a lot of time on my hands.?
Jen on how they support each other: ?We?re constantly supporting each other in our individual endeavors and thinking about all the things that we can build together,? Lopez says. Adds Rodriguez: ?We are very grateful.?
[From People]
Maybe it?s because I sat here and culled all of People Mag?s fluff from the article, but don?t these quotes come across as somewhat? perfunctory? Bordering on terse? I just think that with the Jose Canseco eruption, J-Rod probably feels like their happy engagement announcement got steamrolled. Maybe they?re still salty about it. Or maybe this was an engagement band-aid. When we were recording our podcast this week, CB asked me if they?ll even make it down the aisle (note: CB cut that part, but we did talk about it). Im starting to wonder too.
Here are some photos of J-Rod out and about in New York this week.

| Jenny McCarthy on 'The View?: 'The most miserable I?ve been on a job in 25 years' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Vulture has an excerpt from Ramin Setoodahs upcoming book Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of The View. Its about Jenny McCarthys one year tenure on the show, from the summer of 2013 to 2014, and how it was cutthroat and demoralizing for her as Barbara Walters and Whoopi were vying for head moderator. That was Barbaras last year on The View, and Jenny tells stories of Barbara micromanaging Jennys outfits, forgetting recent guests and not knowing famous names, and generally being mean and vindictive. In Jennys version shes the victim who was misled into signing on and was treated horribly every day. She told Sedootah that Barbara constantly tried to undermine her and that Whoopi talked over her and dominated panel discussions, although that was arguably Whoopis job. She also mischaracterized her anti-vaccination stance. Jenny claimed in a book published in 2007 that her son, Evan, had autism (which some experts debate), that she cured him by changing his diet, and that his condition was caused by vaccinations. She led a green our vaccines movement, claiming that unsafe ingredients in vaccines caused her sons condition. Many news outlets spoke out against The View hiring Jenny for this reason, but she makes it sound like fringe groups were leading a hate campaign against her moderate stance, which was not the case. Shes said things like it shouldnt be polio vs. autism, that she wouldnt vaccinate or recommend vaccinations and that its a lie that vaccinations dont cause autism. Here are some excerpts from that segment of the book. Setoodah is a strong writer and its a good read, although its clearly Jennys distorted version of events.
On groups targeting her; she misrepresents her stance on vaccines
Jenny believed that the hostility toward her originated from a lobbying group that wanted to silence her. ?I had to deal with a hurricane, a tornado. I consider myself to be pro-vaccine, but pro?safe vaccine. There?s another group, they go out and try to get me fired from every job I?ve ever done. They are invisible but powerful.?
On Barbara Walters being confused and mean
?Imagine a woman like Barbara Walters,? Jenny explained. ?It?s her last year and she doesn?t want to leave. Think about that. And I?m the new bitch there.?
One day in Hot Topics, Jenny sounded off about Katy Perry dating the bad-boy musician John Mayer. ?I saw Barbara?s face with her big saucer eyes look at me,? Jenny said. ?Then we went to a commercial. She said, ?Who is it that you?re talking about and why are you bringing her up???
?I?m, like, ?That?s Katy Perry. You interviewed her last week!??
Jenny recalled, ?That wasn?t the right thing to say. I felt everyone kicking me under the table.? The other co-hosts had devised a method to send signals to one another about how to deal with Barbara. ?You either had the knee hold or the kick under the table.?
?We would all show up in the makeup room,? Jenny said. ?Barbara would check out what I was wearing. If she didn?t agree with it, or it didn?t complement her outfit, I had to change.? Jenny estimated that over the next seven months she switched 50 outfits as a result of Barbara?s withering gaze, as if they were doing a photo shoot at Vogue instead of a daytime talk show.
On Whoopi controlling discussions
?People don?t understand,? Jenny said. ?Whoopi can knock over anyone in a debate. Her voice is strong not only in meaning but also in sound. I was able to get a point out in three words ? like ?I don?t agree? ? and that?s all I would be able to say. I would be stepped on or interrupted.? Jenny thought that Whoopi didn?t like that Jenny hadn?t deferred to her enough. ?I wasn?t going to play a kiss-ass. To me, Whoopi had an addiction to controlling people?s thoughts, their words, the room, the table, your feeling, your mood. She had an addiction to controlling all of it and everybody.?
On how hard it was for her
?Every day I went home and I was miserable,? Jenny told me. ?It really was the most miserable I?ve been on a job in my 25 years of show business.?
[From Vulture]
This excerpt opened with Jenny describing Barbara taking her aside and yelling at her during her first appearance on The View as a guest in 2007. Barbara rightfully called her out for saying autism can be cured, only in Jennys story Barbara was using a straw man argument against her that wasnt true. She tells another story of when she was working there about Barbara accusing her of not flushing a tampon in the bathroom that wasnt hers. I dont doubt that Barbara was a horrible boss and an emotionally abusive person, weve heard that about her for years. If Jennys first encounter with her was so awful, why did she sign on to the show? I realize this sounds like Im blaming the victim, but Jenny wasnt a victim, she was a grown woman who made a bad career decision, years after she went on a press tour claiming that her sons autism was caused by vaccines and that she cured him by changing his diet. Shes never rolled back any of those claims, shes just changed her story about what she said.

| Emma Roberts dumped Evan Peters and now she's dating' Garrett Hedlund?!' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I totally blanked out on the fact that Emma Roberts ?homewrecked? Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen back in 2017. I have no memory of that, probably because that tea was spilled in the middle of the Harvey Weinstein/sex-predatorgate situation. Emma was reportedly the reason why Rachel and Hayden are no longer together, because Rachel found texts between Hayden and Emma and they were bad enough that Rachel dumped Hayden right then and there. But for years now, Emma has had an on-and-off relationship with Evan Peters, the same boyfriend she was accused of assaulting back in 2013. She was even briefly arrested, although she was never charged and she always claimed the whole thing was one big misunderstanding (a misunderstanding that left Evan with a bloody nose). Anyway, I think we?ve established the fact that Emma?s love life is? um, complicated. Dramatic, perhaps even violently so. And now it looks like she?s dating Garrett Hedlund. OH NO.
Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have ended their engagement, and now the actress is dating Garrett Hedlund, multiple sources exclusively confirm to Us Weekly.
?Emma and Evan were heading for a split and now are just friends,? one source tells Us. ?Evan has moved out. It wasn?t a bad breakup.?
Meanwhile, an eyewitness saw Roberts, 28, and Hedlund, 34, walking together in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Triple Frontier star ?had his arm around [her] for a bit and then they were holding hands,? the eyewitness tells Us.
?Garrett and Emma have been friends, but this is new, casual, and just a couple of weeks old,? another source says of the budding relationship.
[From Us Weekly]
Garrett Hedlund has always struck me as more of a no-drama kind of guy like, he?s not the kind of guy who is compulsively drawn to the most high-strung women out there (you know the type). He was with Kirsten Dunst for years and they were so low-key about it. I still believe that the only reason they broke up was because she wanted to get married and have Hedlund babies and he wasn?t ready. So? I imagine that he would have a low tolerance for women like Emma Roberts, but you never know.

| The Middleton family's business, Party Pieces, is apparently firing a lot of employees | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Even before then-Kate Middleton married Prince William, I was convinced that there was some shady stuff happening with the Middleton finances. The Middletons made their fortune with Party Pieces, at least that?s the official story. I never doubted that Party Pieces was a profitable start-up company from Carole Middleton, just as I never doubted that Carole has a true entrepreneurial spirit. What I doubted was this idea that the Middletons amassed a reported 40-million-pound fortune from selling cheap party supplies. I think they probably made enough for a comfortable middle-class life, but this whole ?the Middletons are rich AF because of Party Pieces? idea was just PR. I still believe that the Middletons? keeping-up-with-the-Joneses lifestyle was supplemented quite heavily by shady Uncle Gary. Well, now the Daily Mail (and The Sun) has an interesting story about how Party Pieces might be facing some hardships. Huh.
The party supplies company run by the Duchess of Cambridges mother has dismissed some of its staff amid fears for its future, it was claimed last night. Party Pieces, run by Carole Middleton, is said to have laid off at least three of its staff on Wednesday and a fourth worker was told they were at risk, although there were claims up to half of staff members were let go. The abrupt dismissals come months after three warehouse employees were laid off before Christmas.
The companys web designer, PR agent and search engine optimisation employee were among the recent firings. A shocked source told The Sun: There is a terrible air of doom and gloom about the place.
Another source told The Sun: There wasnt so much as a Christmas tree or festive decorations in the office. Morale is at rock bottom.
[From The Daily Mail]
Well, that?s certainly interesting, isn?t it? I always thought James Middleton noted supplier of Nazi marshmallows was the black sheep of the family because he has no head for business. But maybe Party Pieces was always something of a shell game. I?m being too harsh, I know it?s more than possible that Party Pieces was a well-run and profitable business for years and years and because of the changing dynamics of this particular niche market, Party Pieces is failing right now. I wonder if Party Pieces does go under, will royal reporters start telling the truth about the Middleton family?s finances though? They were never as rich as they claimed. Prince William even gave the Middletons a significant chunk of money to buy their upgraded home in Bucklebury.

| Jessica Simpson finally birthed a 10 lbs, 13 oz girl named Birdie Mae Johnson | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

During all three of Jessica Simpson?s pregnancies, it felt like she was gestating for a full year. Part of why it felt so long this time was because Jessica has been putting a lot of stuff out there on social media, including the time she broke a toilet seat, or the time she posted a photo of her hugely swollen feet, or the time she had to be hospitalized for bronchitis while preg (that happened less than a month ago). She also shared happier moments from her pregnancy on social media, like her baby shower, where she revealed that she and husband Eric had already picked out a name for this third child. And they didn?t change their minds! Jessica has finally given birth to a baby girl named Birdie:
She?s here! Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson welcomed their third child together, daughter Birdie Mae Johnson, on Tuesday, March 19, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
Baby Birdie weighed 10 lbs., 13 oz.
Simpson and the former NFL player also share son Ace Knute, 5, and daughter Maxwell ?Maxi? Drew, 6.
[From People]
Out of all of Jessica?s baby names, I think I like Birdie the best. Birdie Mae feels like a Southern nickname for some 1950s housewife whose real name was Barbara Maybelline or something. Jessica always said that Maxwell was a family name, and I?d be willing to bet that Birdie is too, whether it was someone?s real name or a family nickname. Anyway, I?m glad that pregnancy ordeal is over for Jessica and I?m glad she waited a while between Ace and Birdie. Do you think Birdie is the last? I bet she is.
Also Birdie is a BIG baby. Birdie and Prince Lou will meet some day at an all-you-can-eat restaurant and they?ll shut it down.
