?The Office? star Jenna Fischer recently posed in a bikini for the cover of Self Magazine. Fox 411 notes that she has one of those, ?Wow, who knew?? bodies, and while she does look great, Self also has a long history of airbrushing the living daylights out of people. Remember when they made Kelly Clarkson look about thirty percent thinner? I?m not saying Jenna doesn?t look that great, just that Self is not to be trusted in this regard.
Jenna gave a cute interview to them. Apparently they asked her to take on a 10 day challenge in which she was supposed to improve several aspects of her health. Her first decision was to day the 10 day challenge in 14 days. She?s big on being realistic. It seems Jenna has a problem with doing just one thing at a time, and that became very apparent throughout the project. Here are a few of her challenges:
When the editors of SELF pitched me the idea of doing a get-healthier-and-happier challenge, I was instantly onboard. This is going to change my life! I thought. It’s like having my own personal life coach! No sooner did I hang up than regret began to set in. Challenges? I already wake up at 5 A.M.; what more do you want from me? My brain likes to watch The Real Housewives of Orange County and pet my cat. It does not like being challenged. But I was stuck. So my first order of business was to give myself two weeks instead of the 10 days SELF suggested. Then I tackled an easy one first. ?Jenna Fischer
? Make a healthy, tasty Crock-Pot meal
First thought: My boyfriend is going to love this one!
Result Ladies, if you have a Crock-Pot you got for your wedding and never use, dig it out and start cooking. This is the best invention since the microwave for busy women who want a home-cooked meal. You can make so many great things: turkey chili, pot roast, chicken breasts, ribs and my all-time favorite?Mom’s Stuffed Peppers. I prepared everything the night before, threw it in the Crock-Pot in the morning, set it on low and came home to dinner. My boyfriend adored it. We had more time to spend together that evening. Since we didn’t have to cook, it left time for hanky-panky!
? Dress in a fresh way for work
First thought: Does a hoodie count?
Result I started by looking in my closet for a pair of pants. In five years on The Office, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve worn something other than mismatched sweats to work. I removed every pair of pants and put back only ones that fit. (I had a lot of hopeful pants in there.) I started sorting all of my T-shirts. Two hours later, my room was a disaster and it was time for bed. I haven’t finished my closet project, but I’ve learned a lot. I don’t have a good pair of black pants that fit; I don’t have a single casual skirt that isn’t five years old. Most of my T-shirts are shrunken or faded. No wonder I dress dumpy all the time! I did find an adorable pair of purple corduroy pants. I wore them to work the next day with a comfy gray sweater and a scarf.
? On a workday, go for a 20-minute jog
First thought: I hate the editors of SELF magazine.
Result My brain says, I do not want to do this. I’m tired. My feet hurt. Is that a swollen gland? Skip this challenge; they’ll never know. OK, I have to do this. How can I make it fun? I need a kick-ass iPod mix! An hour later, I had a mix and no more excuses. I went jogging. And it was awesome! I want to do this every day! I feel energized, strong, clearheaded. I alternated between jogging and power-walking, but that doesn’t matter. The point is that I got out there and didn’t stop moving. If I keep this up, I might be able to put some of those pants back into my closet!
? Reconnect with an old friend
First thought: Where do I start!
Result I called my best friend from high school, Ellen. We had lost touch in college but saw each other again at our 10-year reunion. We keep in touch with emails here and there. I called her on a Sunday. I put on my headset, and we chatted for 30 minutes while I cleaned my kitchen. It was a great conversation and reminded me of how important it is to feel a connection to those people who have known you for longer than your current success in life. The hands-free headset is the key to keeping in touch. They only cost about $20 at Target. You don’t have to choose between chatting and cleaning the kitchen. I did both!
My favorite thing about the challenges was having the opportunity to concentrate on one area of my life at a time and really examine the way I approach each. And of all the challenges, the BlackBerry embargo has had the most lasting effects. While I was shooting my latest movie in New York [Solitary Man, with Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito], I left my BlackBerry in my trailer on most days. If I did bring it to the set with me, I didn’t carry it in my pocket but left it by my chair instead. My workdays have been much less stressful because of that change. I came away from my SELF live-better challenges with a great overall lesson: one thing at a time.

As mentioned at the end, Jenna had to go without her Blackberry for a day and ended up really liking it. She also noted that the only challenge she didn?t complete was reading for 30 minutes ? just once. She said that even when she reads, it?s always a script or something work-related. She felt guilty and like she couldn?t make time for something that would demand 100% focus and was purely for pleasure. It sounds like she?s dealing with a lot of the stresses we all face. We?ve got so much technology around ? which isn?t necessarily a bad thing ? but you can start to forget how much it interferes with your life. You?ve got to be hooked in and connected 24/7, and if you?re not you feel like you?re slacking.
I?m sort of surprised she chose to go the bikini route. I love Jenna to death, she strikes me as one of the few actors who?s still totally the same person as she was before she was famous. There?s nothing wrong with the bikini, it just seems unnecessary and a bit beneath her. C?est la vie.

The 31-year-old mother of three received a mere 2% of the vote for the best celeb role model for mothers, whereas her ex-hubby garnered a 29% vote in the poll for best father.

Yeah, no such luck. Madonna may have thought about throwing herself off a building, but she has so much to live for. No, not her kids or anything, but her work. Daily Mail says,
She may have a tough exterior but Madonna has admitted she took a real blow during her divorced from director Guy Ritchie last year.
The 51-year-old revealed she was distracted only by her work, which included a gruelling world tour.
‘It was a challenging year,’ she says. ‘I may have thrown myself off a building. I think work saved me and I’m very grateful that I had work to do.’
I doubt any harm would have come if she did happen to throw herself off a building. I’ve always said she resembles a muscular spider, and you never know, she might be hiding some spinnerets under those black vinyl bodysuits. Peter Parker ain’t got nothin’ on her!

Continuing his time in London, George Clooney premiered his new flick “Men Who Stare at Goats” as part of the Times BFI London Film Festival today (October 15).
Joined by his gorgeous girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, the “Ocean’s Eleven” stud was more than happy to pose for the paparazzi outside the Odeon Leicester Square.
And of course, Mr. Clooney was looking handsome as usual, sporting a black suit teamed with a black button-up shirt and black shoes.

Oh Pamela Anderson, why do you insist on making us look at your thighs? Granted, they?re not bad thighs. Everything considered, they?re quite nice. But I really don?t feel I need to know all about them. I would be such a happier person if, every night before I went to bed, I could genuinely wonder, ?Hey, what do Pamela Anderson?s thighs look like?? I feel like my entire life would be better if it were a question, instead of mentally reviewing the weekly photo proofs. For this week installment of Pamela Anderson?s body overshare, she?s strapped on her old Baywatch red bathing suit and paraded around the runway for the A*MUSE by Richie Rich show during Miami fashion week. There?s also what appears to be crime scene tape tied around her left thigh and right calf, along with a massively chunky necklace that appears to be made out whatever tin cans and baseball mitts the local goats didn?t get to first. Coupled with the flesh-toned heels, I probably don?t need to tell you that there was too much sexiness up in there.
Pam Anderson slipped back into her Baywatch swimsuit Wednesday night.
The actress and model, now 42, wore the famous red one-piece down the catwalk at the A*MUSE by Richie Rich show during the Funkshion Fashion Week in Miami Beach.
Considering that the suit still fits, would she ever play C. J. Parker on the big screen?
“Never! I’m not going do it,” she told Usmagazine.com. “I liked the TV show. I don’t like it when they ruin it by making a movie out of it.”
Though Anderson looks better than ever, her former Baywatch costar Nicole Eggert — who will complete in the next season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club — has packed on the pounds. Anderson told Us, “I haven’t seen her in a long time.”
So how does Anderson - mother to sons, Brandon, 12 and Dylan, 11 - stay in such great shape?
“It’s all natural,” PETA Vice President (and pal) Dan Mathews told Us. “I mean, even if she’s had to fly all night to meet with some government official with little sleep, she still has this upbeat attitude, and it’s very much about determination with her. She’s a great mother. Her kids are [older], ready to give her headaches, but she’s great with them.”

I can?t think of any worse role model to pick to encourage vegetarianism than Pamela Anderson. ?Hey everyone, stop eating meat and you too can look beat to hell and ravaged well beyond your years!? If that?s the case, pass the bacon. Apparently not eating meat can also lead to bad vision and poor judgment, since PETA?s VP thinks Pamela is a good choice. The worst part is that at one point Pam pulled out a mask that appeared to be a cross of Ronald McDonald and a psycho killer clown. I don’t even know why. Probably something to do with the crime scene tape.
So what else is Pammy up to these days? Well it?s just been announced that she?ll be starring in a Christmastime pantomime production of Aladdin in London, playing the Genie of the Lamp. Since the show is meant for kids, hopefully Pamela will keep her pants on ? but I?m assuming the producers will put some sort of warning in the programs that, because it?s Pamela Anderson, she may very well not. I wonder if they?ll bring back those giant canes they used to use to pull bad performers off the stage? Might be a good idea to keep a few on hand, just as a precaution. And it?s funnier than simply turning the lights off.

The other day I noted what I thought was a slightly bizarre report from Radar. It was about how Samantha?s LA home is up for rent after Sam rather furtively moved out while Lindsay was being a crackhead in Paris, not designing budget pasties and maybe doing an ingenious jewelry heist (which Lindsay denied a day later, by the way). I wondered if Samantha was cutting her ties for real this time with Lindsay. A day later, Lindsay posts some ?desperate tweets? (Jaybird?s words) to Samantha, barely literate stuff about ?her loved ones-hate her brilliance&resent her happiness? and ?samantharonson deson?t respond 2me b/c her fmaily will cut her off if she contacts me?They control the one I love&im incapable of making?. Given the news about Lindsay the past few weeks, some cracked-out tweets seemed the least of her worries though. Now I?m not so sure.
Lindsay?s tweets from last night - which she promptly took down this morning but were saves by ONTD - are giving me the impression that Sam has pretty much cut Lindsay out of her life. It seemed to start out with Lindsay asking ?what happened?? at Sam. Then it got disastrous. This is like the written version of Lindsay?s infamous cracked-out, weepy, hysterical, drama-queen confrontation of Sam outside of Sam?s home one night over the summer. I?m going to try to write this as one linear, cracked-out thought, so as to maintain whatever integrity Lindsay was going for.

While Britney Spears fans rejoice that her new single, "3," debuted at the top of the charts this week, the pop star made their celebration even sweeter by releasing images from her video shoot for the song, which was shot last week.
In a black-and-white photo on her Twitter page, Britney is dressed in a sheer, black, belly-baring top and straight pants and surrounded by six male dancers. Behind them is a white wall hung with barcode-like light installations.

In an additional photo on her site, Britney is seen sitting in a makeup chair in a sparkly little black dress, looking at the mirror. Other photos obtained by MTV News show her in a white leotard, dancing provocatively with two of the male dancers.
"I am so happy y'all love it because I do this all for you. I can't wait till you see the video!" she tweeted on Wednesday. And last week, she informed her followers, "2nd day shooting my 3 video in LA with Diane Martel. Lot's of new choreography from Tone & Rich. It's gonna be hot!"
Spears also took to Twitter to thank her fans for making her new track an instant hit. "I want to thank my fans for making '3' the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100," she said. "I am truly blessed with the greatest fans in the world."
The song is set to be featured on Britney's upcoming hits collection, The Singles Collection, out on November 24.

Coming as no surprise, Jessica Simpson isn’t laughing at the FOX NFL Sunday cartoon that mocked her weight.
Although she didn’t directly say it was that cartoon, she did tweet, “I will never understand why people attack for a laugh. Own your beauty and don’t listen to the judgment.”
The spoof aired on the October 11th pregame show that included a cartoon version of Dallas Cowboy players making fun of Simpson’s shape. The animated version of the team’s coach Wade Phillips then asks, “Say Tony, is Jessica around? We could use a defensive tackle!”
FOX and Burger King have apologized, saying, “Our poor attempt at humor was insensitive and we deeply apologize to anyone who might have been offended.”
But Simpson is in high spirits. The 29 year-old is taking a break in NYC from her upcoming new show on VH1, The Price of Beauty.
“Having a great sushi filled dinner with friends and fall out of the chair laughter,” she Tweeted.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress looked to be in good spirits as she posed for the paparazzi in a black and white dress with a thick black belt and black heels.
In a recent interview, Shakira discussed the sound and direction she was going for on the new album, due out in the States next month.
“I felt very curious and intrigued about the electro-pop world and everything it has to offer. I wanted to make sure that this album was very bassy and that the kicks hit really hard, and I wanted to concentrate on the beat. But my music, to a certain extent, is very complex—because I always try to experiment with sounds from other parts of the world.”

Jaybird already covered part of Madonna?s new Rolling Stone cover interview yesterday, but this thing is huge, and Madge covered a lot of subjects. For a refresher, Jaybird covered the parts of the interview where Madge talked about Lady Gaga (?I see myself in Lady Gaga?), and Madge?s own early hits (?I feel retarded singing ?Into the Groove??). Rolling Stone hasn?t released the entirety of the interview, they?re just releasing drips and drabs here and there, but I have to say, I think this is one of the most exhaustive interviews Madge has ever done. Miranda’s ribs protruded, and her skin was tightly stretched across her bony back. Her thin arms also looked extremely sinewy.
The reason for the Australian’s sudden weight loss is not exactly hard to fathom.
It seems her ambitions to do high fashion modelling were realised earlier this month she made an appearance on the catwalk for Balenciaga, the fashion world’s coolest label right now.

The envy of many women, Heidi Klum has been known to quickly get her body back after having a baby.
In 2005, just two months after having baby Henry, she was on the Victoria’s Secret runway - but this year she wants to take it slower.
The supermodel said, “I don’t know if I’m going to try to get ready for the show. I’m going to totally play it by ear and see what happens.”
The 36 year-old has been taking a diet light on carbs through the pregnancy and ahead of the fashion show, which will take place in NYC in November.
And even though she has been known to have a lean body right away after doing two workouts a day with trainer David Kirsch to lose the weight back in 2005, Klum isn’t feeling the heat on her this time.
“[Victoria’s Secret] knows that it’s very close after [my due date], and they are not putting any pressure on me, and I’m not putting any pressure on myself!” she said. “It’s not a lot of time [to get back in shape]. I think I’m going to take it a little bit easy. The most important thing is for our little girl to be happy and healthy,” Klum added. “That’s the main concern and we’ll see what happens after that.”

I stayed in character and carried on, which was just as well because it turned out it was just a guide dog simply shaking itself out before going to sleep.”
Sienna continued, “Another time, a woman in the crowd was making so much noise it was as if she was eating sweets out of a giant trash bag - I nearly told her to shut up. But it’s as well I didn’t because she was ill, passed out soon afterwards and had to be taken to hospital.”

OK! Magazine has a bizarre and no doubt misleading cover story this month: “Inside our Home” featuring on and probably off-screen Twilight lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The cover follows past misleading OK! issues focusing on the couple, like “Wedding of The Year” in September, which just had the details of the wedding to be filmed for the third installment of the series and not a planned wedding between Pattison and Stewart. There was also “Rob and Kristen: Engaged” and “Rob Risks it all for Kristen” last month.
Neither Stewart nor Pattinson has ever confirmed their relationship, and they take pains not to be photographed together outside of promotional appearances. OK! seems to suggest that it has an exclusive interview with the hot young couple, with statements on the cover like “exclusive photos of our apartment in Vancouver,” and “all the intimate details of our life at home.” Given the teaser article on their site, which doesn’t include any information about an interview, I think we can safely assume that all they have are interior photos of the place they’re staying while in Vancouver. The Frisky has some details of the article, and Rob and Kristen don’t even have an “apartment” - they’re staying in a hotel suite of adjoining rooms and the “married couple” quote is from some random storekeeper.
In an amazing cover story entitled ?Inside our Love Nest,? OK! gives us an inside look into Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson?s Vancouver hotel suite romance. Apparently, the couple holds down an entire floor of the Sheraton with conveniently attached bedrooms. There, Rob plays guitar for Kristen, they cuddle in bed and Rob enjoys his ?beloved Hot Pockets.? One storekeeper said of the couple, ?They seem like they?ve been together for years?like an old married couple but way, way hotter.? Seriously, OK!? Beloved Hot Pockets?

Surprising absolutely no one, Avril Lavigne has officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband Deryck Whibley. The two have been separated for a few month at least, after Avril spent the better part of this year stepping out ?looking anything but married?. She?s been partying with everyone from Brandon ?Greasy Bear? Davis (who allegedly caused her estrangement with Deryck) to Dole Food Company billionaire Justin Murdock (who she?s been maybe stepping out with lately). Avril and Deryck were married for more than three years. Avril is not seeking sposal support, nor does she want to pay Deryck palimony.
Avril Lavigne has filed for divorce from Deryck Whibley.
The singer, 25, cites “irreconcilable differences” in court paperwork, according to TMZ.com. She’s not asking for spousal support, and has also requested not to pay spousal support to Whibley.
Us Weekly first reported on Sept. 17 that the pair had called it quits after three years and one month of marriage.
“She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on,” a source told Us, adding that she forced him out of their $9.5 million, 12,000-square-foot estate in L.A.’s Bel Air.
Whibley, 29, “is crushed,” another insider told Us then.
The following day, Lavigne confirmed on her blog that she was separating from her Sum 41 rocker husband.
“Deryck and I have been together for six and a half years,” she wrote. “We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21.
“I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know, and I love him with all my heart,” she went on. “Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note.”

Interesting that Avril was the one to file for divorce. Perhaps Deryck wanted to play the victim a bit. Or perhaps he really is ?crushed? and he truly hoped they would work it out. God knows. I?m not saying she looks good or anything, just that she looks less strung out. It looked like R&B star Usher was on the fast track to being single again after the dissolution of his marriage to Tameka Foster. But the couple have not only delayed the divorce for undisclosed reasons, but they’ve had some heated exchanges recently regarding custody arrangements for their two young sons, and Usher has actually involved the authorities. TMZ has access to the 911 call Usher made last month after his car was keyed following an argument with his estranged wife. He was careful not to name names, but Tameka’s involvement is implied.
Usher was cool, calm and collected when he called 911 back in September — accusing his “ex wife” Tameka Raymond of vandalizing his truck.
During the call, Usher explains to the operator that he had called cops the night before to file “a complaint because of potential domestic violence between me and my ex wife.”
He then tells the operator that when he woke up the following morning, a person who was fixing a flat tire on his truck noticed that it had been keyed up on the side. During the call, Usher never directly accuses Tameka — but insinuates that the scratch occurred as a result of the incident the night before.
As TMZ first reported, cops investigated the situation, but determined there wasn’t enough evidence to make an arrest.

Another account of the disagreement also has Tameka showing up at Usher’s mother’s house. Tameka and Usher’s mother have never gotten along, according to reports. Apparently, it was Usher’s time to have custody with the children, and Tameka was demanding to see them. When Usher informed her that the boys were visiting with their grandmother, Tameka immediately drove to Mrs. Raymond’s home, demanding the children.
Cops were called to Usher?s home three times last month after the singer had an argument with his soon-to-be-ex wife Tameka Foster over the custody of their two sons.
According to police reports, Tameka began fighting with Usher over the phone on Sept. 10. She then drove to Usher?s home, and demanded to take the children who were in his custody at the time. The kids were actually visiting Usher?s mother?s house, so Tameka took a trip over there, and began calling her and knocking on her door. Usher?s mother didn?t answer the door, and called police instead. When the cops arrived, Tameka was already gone. The next morning, Usher reportedly found scratches on his truck, so he called the cops again. The cops were unable to prove that Tameka had anything to do with the scratches.

I think bikini model Joanna Krupa is still on “Dancing with the Stars,” but it’s still pretty early. Besides, I have yet to see her dance so maybe she’s pretty good, or maybe not. Stepping out to tend to business matters, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian were spotted trying to keep dry in the rain as they ventured out in Los Angeles on Wednesday (October 14).
The E! reality star sisters were visiting their Dash boutique, where they checked out the shop’s offerings and chatted with store employees.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Kourtney and Khloe will be joining sister Kim in releasing a clothing collection through the brand Bebe.
Kim told fans through her blog, “Kourtney, Khloe and I are designing for Bebe! This is honestly a dream come true! We have always loved fashion and have wanted to design for such a long time and now we finally are. I love Bebe and wear their clothes all the time so I can’t wait for our collections to come out in the spring! You guys are going to love what we’ve come up with!”

Avril Lavigne filed for divorce from Sum 41's Deryck Whibley last week, according to case summary obtained by MTV News. The pair had been married for three years.
The news does not come as a surprise, as Lavigne posted on her MySpace page September 17 that they had separated. According to TMZ, the documents state that Lavigne cited "irreconcilable differences" and that the couple separated September 4. The documents also reportedly state that Lavigne is not asking for spousal support.
In her post last month, Lavigne wrote: "Deryck and I have been together for six-and-a-half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note."
Lavigne concluded the message by thanking her family, friends and fans for their support.
The message (which was titled "Moving forward on a positive note") confirmed speculation that had run rampant in recent months that the couple's marriage was on the rocks. Earlier on September 17, Us Weekly ran a story that cited a source as saying Lavigne had "dumped" Whibley and forced him to move out of their Bel Air, California, mansion, adding that "divorce papers will be filed any day now."
Lavigne and Whibley were married in July 2006 in a non-denominational ceremony held at a private estate in Montecito, California, and their partnership quickly extended into the field of music, as Whibley played on and produced parts of Lavigne's last album, 2007's The Best Damn Thing, and was reportedly working with her on the follow-up to that record.

The “Georgia Rule” actress stopped into the local Chanel boutique, browsing through the store’s offerings with the help of a few salespeople.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Lohan recently gushed about her on again, off again girlfriend Samantha Ronson via Twitter, saying, “@samantharonson doesn’t respond 2me b/c her family will cut her off if she contacts me..,” she tweeted. “They control the one I love & im incapable of making any sort of difference.”
The 23-year-old continued, “I’m in love with her, as she is in love with me ..... but her loved ones-hate her brilliance & resent her happiness.”

Citing “irreconcilable differences” in recent court filings, the 25-year-old “Complicated” singer doesn’t expect spousal support - but asks to be freed from obligations to pay out money to Whibley.
News of the couple’s breakup first surfaced in mid September, which came about after three years and one month of marriage.
With insiders claiming that Deryck had difficulty dealing with the decision, a source told Us magazine, “She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on.”

Continuing along with their stay in the nation’s capital, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony stepped out for a surprise visit to San Miguel Middle School in Washington DC on Wednesday (October 14).
The lovely couple went to speak to the students at the all-boys school, who reportedly “had no idea they were coming and were completely surprised when they were in the middle of their routine school work.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer and Marc spent the previous evening attending the In Performance at the White House: Fiesta Latina event.
With President Barack Obama also in attendance, the White House soiree was hosted by Eva Longoria, George Lopez and Jimmy Smits, with concert sets by Gloria Estefan and Aventura.
