If they ever remake The Big Lewbowski, Matthew McConaughey should be cast as The Dude. Can you imagine? McConaughey saying stuff like ?The Dude abides? and ?Fortunately, I’m adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.? I mention this because whenever I read quotes from Matthew, I tend to hear them in The Dude?s voice. Try it, it?s fun!
McConaughey will appear on Wednesday?s Rachel Ray Show, and he?s talking about his utterly adorable son Levi. Judging only from pictures of Levi, I really think he must be so calm and chilled out, just like his dad. According to Matthew, out photo assumptions are correct - Matthew says Levi is ?an easy traveler?. US Magazine has more:
Traveling with an 8-month old? No big deal, says Matthew McConaughey.
“Levi is doing well, man. Five stamps on the passport,” he says on the 500th episode of the Rachel Ray Show (airing Wednesday). “Check this out, perfect tank of gas before he wakes up and is ready to eat. So as soon as it gets below a quarter of a tank and I gotta pull off to get gas, Levi’s waking up. So far so good. We’re having a good time - he’s an easy traveler.”
McConaughey — who just signed on star in the upcoming legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer - also dishes about what he’d do if he weren’t an actor.
“I think I’d either want to coach a college program, football,” he says. “Or go off and do like what Steve Irwin did. Or be a chef.”
When it comes to food, “I really like to get everything in one bowl,” he tells Ray.
“A lot of times we’ll make a pasta, and we’ll make a salad, and we’ll make a meat dish,” says the actor, who is dating model Camila Alves, the mother of his son. “We end up putting pasta on the bottom because of the heat and layer in the salad and the meat on top. I love merging like that.”

That pasta-salad-meat dish sounds pretty gross. I realize all of it?s going to the same place, but I just have this image of a steak on top of a Caesar salad, on top of pasta with marinara. Can Matthew even taste the individual flavors when he does his food like that? I find myself respecting Camila Alves more and more - she seems to put up with a lot, stuff that would drive other women (me) insane.

Angie Harmon has been one of the most vocal Republicans in Hollywood for years. The Texan beauty, most famous for her turn as a prosecutor on Law & Order, has actively campaigned for Republicans and has often spoken out of Republican issues. No one really bothered her about it, as far as I could see. Throughout the years Harmon has often talked disparagingly of liberals in Hollywood.
Now Harmon is criticizing both President Obama and the people who defend him. Harmon claims that ?If I have anything to say against Obama it’s not because I’m a racist, it’s because I don’t like what he’s doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you’re called a racist.? She has a point, albeit a point in which she creates a straw man argument. Who is calling Harmon a racist again? She?s pretty vague about it. Fox News has more:
Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn?t like how President Obama is handling the job ? but she?s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.
“Here’s my problem with this, I’m just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it’s not because I’m a racist, it’s because I don’t like what he’s doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you’re called a racist,” Harmon told Tarts at Thursday?s Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse.
“But it has nothing to do with it, I don?t care what color he is. I?m just not crazy about what he’s doing and I heard all about this, and he?s gonna do that and change and change, so okay ? I’m still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we’ve got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that’s the thing I really don’t appreciate. If I’m going to disagree with my President, that doesn’t make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn’t make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous.”
Speaking of dislikes, the starlet has also had enough of the double-standards in the media.
“I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and ?What is our president doing? How unclassy!? But Obama does it and no one says anything,” Harmon said.
And in spite of the scornful opinions most of her Tinseltown counterparts have shared on Gov. Sarah Palin, Harmon remains a true fan.
“I admire any kind of woman like her. My whole motto is to know what I stand for and know what I don’t stand for and have the courage to live my life accordingly and she does exactly that. The fact that this woman has made the decisions she’s made and literally lived her life according to that and takes heat for it is absolutely disgusting to me,” she added. “People cannot look at this woman. I really think they’re afraid of her and her morals, ethics and values and the fact that she hangs on them. Is she the most experienced person in the world? But she was running to be the Vice President, so we then put the most inexperienced person as the President. That didn’t make any sense to me.”

It?s clear that Angie Harmon genuinely felt like she was being personally attacked as a racist for her political beliefs. And for that, as someone who vocally supported Obama, I will apologize. It felt horrible for many of us supporting Obama to see the sleazy ways in which some people attacked Obama for his race, his religion, his family and his patriotism. Collectively, I think we were seeing racists and bigots around every corner, when it wasn?t always the case. So for the record, some people who criticize Obama for race-specific things (and you know what they are) are racists, but most of Obama?s critics do not have a racist bone in their bodies.

Angelina Jolie hasn’t finished her multi-cultural adopting spree just yet. The Sun says Angelina confided in ten-year-old Azharuddin Mohammed (Slumdog Millionaire) that she’ll be adopting an Indian orphan soon.
Angelina should just join the Babies of the Month club like I have. It was supposed to be Beers of the Month, but I marked the wrong check box. Anyway, to the foreboding quote:
In November 2006 they visited an orphanage in Pune and spent more than an hour meeting children and handing out toys.
The adoption centre?s chief said at the time: ?Brad and Angelina were lovely and adore kids. Every move and every look of the couple was filled with love for our children and we were floored with their genuine affection.
?It was great excitement not only for our kids but for our staff as well.?
It would have been cool if Angelina told Mohammed she’s adopting an Indian kid and then said, “Surprise, it’s you!” and then told him she was just kidding and then pointed and laughed. Wait. Did I mean to say cruel instead of cool? No, I meant cool. Definitely cool.

Madonna has confirmed to media outlets that she is in Malawi to adopt Mercy James, and that she hopes the Friday court hearing will go her way. Madonna?s tireless publicist Liz Rosenberg also confirmed the meeting between David Banda and his biological father, saying, ?Madonna is committed to maintaining an ongoing relationship with David’s Malawian roots.?
The Associated Press has the information on where the adoption case stands now, as well as information about the current protestations of the adoption. A coalition of Malawian non-governmental child-advocate groups called ?Mwakusungula? has spoken out against Madonna’s adoption of a child with multiple living relatives. The AP has more:
Madonna has confirmed her attempts to adopt a young Malawian girl and said through a spokeswoman that she is following standard procedures in adopting the child amid criticism by some that she was using her fame to quicken the process.
The 50-year-old pop superstar also confirmed she took her 3-year-old son David, also adopted from Malawi, to visit with his biological father Yohane Banda for the first time since she and David left the country in 2006.
“Madonna is committed to maintaining an ongoing relationship with David’s Malawian roots,” said Liz Rosenberg in a statement Tuesday morning.
In her statement, Madonna confirmed she is trying to adopt a girl named Chifundo “Mercy” James who is about 4 years old. Malawian welfare official and another person involved in the proceedings had confirmed an adoption application was under way and spoke on condition of anonymity because the case is considered sensitive.
The girl’s 18-year-old mother was unmarried and died soon after she gave birth, according to the child’s uncle, John Ngalande. Her father is believed to be alive but has little contact with his daughter, he said.
A coalition of non-governmental organizations called Mwakusungula have criticized Madonna’s adoption attempts, saying that adoption should be the last resort and that children need to be taken care of by their own family.
“Mercy James is a child who has her extended close family members alive and we urge Madonna to assist the child from right here,” a statement from the coalition said.
But others have said that the adoption would give enormous opportunities to the child that she would be unable to achieve in the impoverished African nation. Malawian law is fuzzy on foreign adoptions. Regulations stipulate only that prospective parents undergo an 18- to 24-month assessment period in Malawi, a rule bent when Madonna was allowed to take David to London.
Madonna may also face challenges as a single mother; she divorced Guy Ritchie last year.
Madonna first traveled to Malawi in 2006 while filming a documentary on the devastating poverty and AIDS crisis. Her Raising Malawi organization, founded in 2006, raises funds to provide food, shelter, education and health care for children.

Ah, the oh-so convenient Raising Malawi charity. As it turns out, Fox News was one of the news outlets who wondered what exactly is happening with Raising Malawi and all of those millions of dollars Madonna has allegedly given and raised. Raising Malawi isn?t certified as a non-profit, and there are some serious questions about the $3.7 million fundraiser that Madonna and Gucci sponsored for Raising Malawi last year. The full Fox News report is here, but these are the basics:
Before Madonna ?adopts? another child from Malawi, maybe someone should ask her where the money went from her big star studded 2008 fundraiser for that country.
We tried: this column has tried to ascertain from The Raising Malawi Foundation and from Madonna?s Kabbalah-backed Raising Malawi where the estimated $3.7 million has gone from the February 6, 2008 extravaganza. So far: No answers.
The fundraiser had some problems, however. Even though Raising Malawi had been in business for two years, it was still not approved as a sanctioned non profit at the time. Instead, Gucci formed its own Foundation ? known as a 501 c3 ? to collect the money. They brought UNICEF on board to give the event a feeling of legitimacy. But in the end, the efforts expended were for Raising Malawi, an organization founded by the Kabbalah Center of Los Angeles. Raising Malawi teaches the Kabbalah curriculum, called Spirituality for Kids, to Malawi orphans.
Now, fourteen months after the fundraiser, there?s no accounting for the money that came in. At the time, Gucci claimed that they?d underwritten the entire event, that $3.7 million had been raised and that it had been split between Raising Malawi and UNICEF.
But since then, The Gucci Foundation has still not filed a Form 990 tax statement, and neither has Raising Malawi. Calls to Gucci haven?t provided any information, and calls and e-mails to Raising Malawi haven?t been returned.
Where the money has gone ? and the whole story of Raising Malawi ? comes at an inconvenient time for Madonna.

I gave Madonna the benefit of the doubt last week, because I really want to believe that despite it all, The Gristle is a good mother who loves her kids. But I can?t turn my back on all of this controversy. What makes it worse (in my mind) is that Madonna seems to be actively courting these controversies. She seems to thrive on them, like, how could she try to adopt a child or hold a fundraiser without screwing it up so badly? How hard is it to hire a tax attorney to get your charity a non-profit status? How hard is it to follow adoption procedures?

Yesterday, we reported on The Daily Mail’s story that Angelina Jolie is thin, tired and insular on the set of Salt, and that she and Brad are having problems. The Mail is at it again today, this time drawing a story that originated in Grazia, a magazine that literally makes stuff up out of thin air.
According to The Mail (who is using Grazia?s story), Angelina and Brad had a huge fight over Brad?s drinking. Allegedly, Angelina came home from work one night and found Brad ?relaxing with beer and DVDs in their bedroom while their six children caused chaos downstairs.? Holed up with Heineken and porn, probably. That?s my guess.
The whole Brad-is-an-alcoholic angle is a sad, tabloid remnant from the incident in Germany a few months ago, where Brad was walking around the red carpet with a beer in hand. Many claimed that ?when in Germany, drink as the Germans.? But the tabloids had some great stories.
Angelina Jolie’s relationship with Brad Pitt had hit a rocky patch after the couple had an explosive row, it was reported today.
The exhausted actress returned home from a long day filming her new movie Salt to find Brad relaxing with beer and DVDs in their bedroom while their six children caused chaos downstairs.
Brad’s behaviour triggered the second big argument between the couple over the last few weeks, with friends worrying for the couple’s future. Sources close to the couple say they had their biggest row yet when Angelina found Brad sleeping while nannies struggled to care for their large brood.
A friend close to the actress told Grazia magazine: ‘Angelina was completely and utterly exhausted, so when she came home after a hard day’s work and found Brad had apparently done nothing all day except watch DVDs, she was livid.
‘She went upstairs and shook Brad awake. He was like a bear with a sore head and kept telling her to leave him alone.’
Insiders on her new film Salt said the actress has been withdrawn on set and has been spotted deep in conversation with her brother James Haven in between takes.
The parents-of-six haven’t been photographed together since they completed their awards circuit with the Oscars in late February. Over the last few weeks, Angelina has been putting in gruelling hours on the set of spy thriller Salt, while Brad has been looking after their children.
Her long hours meant she often spends the night at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan, instead of making the 50 mile drive back to their 40million mansion on Long Island’s Gold Coast.
A friend tell Grazia: ‘Angelina’s put up a wall between them and shut down emotionally.’
Angelina complained last year the couple barely had any time to spend together because of parenting their six children. She said: ‘Mummy and daddy need to try to figure out more time; we?re working on it. Right now, we?re not great about mummy-and-daddy time.’

I?ve noticed that the ?Brangelina is breaking up? stories always seem to come hot and heavy when Angelina is working and Brad?s looking after the kids, but not when Brad?s working and Angelina?s looking after the kids. I tend to think there?s an anti-feminist angle to it, that the prudish tabloids are ?punishing? a woman who is a working mother. But, hey, that?s just my theory.

A week or two ago, reports began coming in that Rihanna was not cooperating with prosecutors in Chris Brown’s case. Yesterday, the same report sprung up again almost word for word. According to the LA DA’s office, those reports are unfounded. They tell TMZ , “We deal with her attorney who says she is a cooperating victim.”
Either way, prosecutors are used to dealing without a cooperating victim. The leaked photographs and Rihanna’s statement that this wasn’t the first time she was beaten are evidence enough. Unlike that stick figure drawing I made of the guy who robbed me. Apparently, police didn’t “have enough to go on.” Imbeciles.

Super cute Alyson Hannigan, who has been pregnant for approximately 26 months, finally had her baby last week, her rep told People today:
It’s a girl ? and she shares her birthday with her mom!
How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan and her husband, actor Alexis Denisof, who kept the gender of their baby a secret during pregnancy, have welcomed a daughter, her rep tells PEOPLE.
The girl is named Satyana Denisof and was born March 24 in Los Angeles, which also happens to be Hannigan’s birthday. “They’re very excited, and mom and baby are doing great,” says the rep.
This kid’s parents are pretty effing adorable, so who knows if science will even be able to quantify the cuteness of this thing they created. It might even herald a New World Order. We can only hope it uses its powers for good instead of evil. It might not hurt to sacrifice a Care Bear or something in its honour, just in case. I don’t think we want it to get angry.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have the never-ending bromance. Don?t even try to say that those boys are gay either, because that is so 1998. More than a decade after their Oscar win for best screenplay, Ben and Matt?s friendship is still really solid. They?ve weathered high-profile relationships, The Jason Bourne trilogy, rehab, J-Lo. And now both men are happily married with two daughters each (and Matt is stepfather to a third girl).
Ben is starting to gear up for the promotional tour of State of Play. The film looks really, really good, but Affleck is barely in the trailer, so I?ve got to wonder how much the studio is going to put him front and center to sell this movie. Perhaps it?s part of Ben?s multi-year public relations strategy to ?rebrand? himself from stripper-loving, J-Lo engagin? film poison to happy, well-adjusted, loving family man, actor-director and humanitarian. It seems to be working, so kudos to his publicist.
Affleck sat down with People to talk friendship, marriage and whether he and Matt will actually work together again:
They were close childhood friends, collaborated on the script for 1997’s Good Will Hunting and then won Oscars for it. And even after Hollywood success and “ballooning” families, Ben Affleck says his friendship with Matt Damon has not only gotten stronger, with shared vacations, but they’re planning another movie together.
“It’s cool,” Affleck, 36, told PEOPLE of his and Damon’s enduring bond, which includes mixing and mingling with their wives and kids. Affleck has two daughters with wife Jennifer Garner while Damon, also 36, has two daughters with wife Luciana Barroso.
“We went on vacation last summer,” says Affleck, who plays a congressman opposite Russell Crowe in the new thriller State of Play. “It’s nice. It always has been. He’s got his family ballooning, and we’re doing okay ? it’s nice.”
With the two having never veered from their shared Boston upbringing, Affleck observes, “I think it would be the same for anybody. You’re friends when you are young, you have a certain life. Then in your 20s you have a different life. In your 30s you get married and have families.”
Given such a perspective, Affleck adds, “It’s a different kind of satisfaction being around your friends, the friends you grew up with. They have kids, have barbecues and that kind of deal. That is really satisfying, too. It’s one of the nice things about having friends for a long time.”
Equally nice is that, with recent arrival Seraphina Rose joining daughter Violet, 3, at home, Affleck says, “I am very lucky. I feel blessed to look around and see that I’ve got a healthy family and a job. Especially nowadays, you really feel very good.”
When it comes to being a dad, he’s mastered many of the duties ? including how to mash bananas properly ? that his wife was once worried would require supervision.
“I’m in a pretty good zone right now,” says PEOPLE’s 2002 Sexiest Man Alive. “I say that, and I’ll go home to find everything exploded, [but] so far, so good.”
All in all, he says, “I really am happy with what I’m doing now. In fact, I’ve never been at a place where I’ve felt better about going to work every day. I’m more engaged and very, very happy ? I’ve really gotten comfortable with the things that are important to me.”
“Matt is always pretty busy but claiming that he’s going to try and slow it down a little bit,” says his buddy. “He doesn’t mind taking a year to wait. I would love to, it’s great, and we’re both busy. Matt lives in Miami, so it’s hard to get a chance to see him. If we work together it’s an excuse to hang out.”

It?s nice that Ben and Matt are still friends, and I like how the relationship has evolved over the years. Part of the reason I think the gay rumor got some traction was because they were always together back in the day. As they?ve grown up, they?re more like college buddies who plan family vacations together once a year.
I totally forgot that People named Ben Affleck as the Sexiest Man Alive in 2002. What were they thinking? Ah, back when Affleck when hot stuff. The halcyon days of 2002. Brings a tear to my eye.

Katie Price is currently living in LA with her husband Peter Andre and her children while filming a reality show about their family and trying to make it in the US. She decided to take a weekend to fly back to England to be with her friends, and things got sloppy at a club in Brighton and later on at a restaurant, where she was unable to stand alone and was throwing food at her friends. The drinking session was particularly surprising because she plans on running the London marathon next month and had announced her decision not to drink until her training was over.
And it ended in typically undignified fashion just before 6am with the 30-year-old former page three girl slumped over the table of an all-night cafe.
Miss Price is currently living in Los Angeles where she is filming a reality TV show about her life with her husband, one-time pop star Peter Andre, 36. But she briefly jetted back to the UK to visit friends in her hometown of Brighton 11 days ago.
Andre, meanwhile had been left Stateside while to look to after their two children Junior, three and Princess Tiaamii, one and her six-year-old son from her relationship with Sunderland footballer, Dwight Yorke. And she took the chance to let her hair down in spectacular fashion which ended in the early hours of Mothering Sunday.
The model, who now writes her own children’s books, spent the Saturday night partying with three friends at the Oceana nightclub where they downed champagne and cocktails. She hopes to raise 250,000 for charities NSPCC and Vision. She has been seen jogging around Malibu in an attempt to try and help her complete the 26-mile run and recently claimed that she had stopped drinking while she trains.

British tabloid Heat has turned this into an expose on her rocky relationship with Peter Andre, comparing a photo of a smashed Katie with a picture of Peter kissing one of their kids. There have been rumors of their breaking up for some time now, and they’re probably based in some fact, and it’s also true that the couple has a verbally abusive relationship. I’ve seen their reality show and all they do is bash each other - but while to outsiders it’s rude, they seem to revel in it.
The drinking session was probably just that - a respite from the pressures of her TV show, her kids, and hawking her line of slutty equestrian gear. The bit about Katie drunkenly throwing food at her friends is priceless, and reminds me of weekends at college. But we should probably give her a break - it’s hard out there for a former glamor model.

How else are you supposed to furnish your new home with the necessities? Luckily former Playmate and ?Girls Next Door? star Kendra Wilkinson - who?s getting married in June and talking about little else ? saw this unfortunate gap in the marketplace and decided to step up and design her very own line of stripper poles.

“I’m coming out with my own stripper pole. Stripper pole, and stripper pole workout,” The Girls Next Door star, 23, told Usmagazine.com at the American Red Cross Red Tie Affair in Santa Monica Saturday.
“It’s like Carmen Electra’s, but mine is better,” she continued. “Mine will connect to the ceiling, and you can spin on it and do all that stuff on it.”
Wilkinson is busy promoting her new E! reality show, Kendra, which follows her engagement and marriage to Philadelphia Eagles’ beau Hank Baskett.
“It’s been fun,” she said of taping the series, which premieres this summer. “A lot of work, but fun. I’m used to Holly and Bridget, but now it’s just me. My show’s kind of — our show — is kind of like I Love Lucy, but newlyweds. It’s funny.”
How’s wedding planning going? “Still working on the dress,” Wilkinson — who was worried about looking too “’80s Prom” — told Us. “We’re talking to a really cool florist. He’s making the flowers amazing — 6-foot centerpieces! It’s going to look like a fair-tale wedding. I’m really excited about it.”

I sense an impending stripper pole feud. Kendra Wilkinson vs. Carmen Electra. Instead of having an epic dance off (the best way to solve most feuds) they?ll have a strip off (the second best way to solve most feuds). There will be three categories upon which they?ll be judged: pole twirling, clothing removal, and skanky facial expressions. I’m placing my money on Carmen, but I’m sure it’ll be a photo finish. Or something.
I have no idea what Carmen Electra?s stripper pole looks like (I?ve learned not to Google these things, I rarely get the results I want), but Kendra seems to be implying it doesn?t connect to the ceiling, and that somehow makes it unworthy. I?m not sure if she wants to get really high up on the pole and do something fireman style, or if maybe not connecting to the ceiling means it?s less stable and thus limiting. But I hear the world of celebrity stripper poles is really competitive, so if I were Kendra I?d watch what I say. Fighting words and such.

That’s cute that Alyson had a baby on her birthday! If you’re going to have a child within a week or two of another birthday in your family, it may as well be the same day so that you can have one big party. My husband’s birthday is very close to Christmas and I usually have a little guilt like I’m not making it special for him because I’m preoccupied with the holiday. I would love to have a big combined party for birthdays like that.
Satyana is a unique name that I haven’t heard before, but it’s also pretty and non-stigmatizing, unlike many other celebrity baby names. Congratulations to Alyson and Alexis and we’re looking forward to seeing little Satyana out and about.

Last week’s issue of OK! Magazine featured “Jen’s Shocking Decision - I Will Never Remarry” on the cover. Bullet points claimed the 40 year-old actress “realizes she’ll never find another Brad,” but that “she’ll still be a mom this year!”
Given the latest report from OK! I think it’s safe to assume that Aniston and/or her publicist have done something to offend the usually celebrity-friendly glossy. OK! claims that Aniston isn’t being particularly friendly to cast and crew on the NY set of the comedy she’s filming, The Baster, and they even go so far as to call her an “ice queen.” All she did was eat in her trailer to avoid the paparazzi, though:
It was like being at a new school on the first day of class for superstar Jennifer Anistonon Monday, as she began work on the NYC set of her upcoming film, The Baster.
The former Friend spent her day inside Greenwich Village restaurant Barbuto, shooting an awkward date scene with co-star Jason Bateman. The set-up involved the actors sitting at a booth inside the restaurant attempting to have a conversation.
Perhaps Jen was trying to stay in character between takes, because witnesses tell OK! wasn’t any friendlier when the cameras stopped rolling. ?Jen kept mostly to herself,” one on-set source reveals. “She didn?t talk to anyone during the breaks.?
Though some Baster insiders tell OK! that Jen is “sweet and totally normal,” she’s not doing a great job of convincing everyone of that fact. In fact, on her first day on the set, she held up shooting because her hair wasn’t perfect.
“In the morning, the cast and crew had to wait to start filming without Jen because she asked for extra time to finishing blow-drying her hair,” reveals one source.
And when the lunch bell rang, not only did Jen not deign to eat her Cobb salad in the company of her new co-workers, she actually had herself driven to her trailer so she could eat alone!
“Jen refused to walk even a step outside the restaurant during the break for lunch,” says an insider. “She had her car pull up right next to the restaurant so she could be driven less than a block to her trailer to avoid photographers.”

If you carefully read this story from OK!, Aniston wasn’t trying to avoid her co-workers by eating along, she was trying to avoid the swarming paparazzi. Photographers can be incredibly invasive and they often shout obnoxious things at celebrities trying to get a response. You don’t blame her for not eating with everyone else if that means that she’s going to be photographed and heckled the whole time. What’s more is that she may have had the best interests of the cast and crew in mind by deciding to eat alone in her trailer. That way, they would be able to eat in peace instead of being bothered by photographers trying to get shots of her the whole time.
OK! decided to make it sound like Aniston was snubbing the people she works with though, and titled this article “Jen Aniston’s Ice Queen Antics on Baster Set.” She’s not my favorite person, but I doubt she’s a snob. Aniston usually comes across as friendly and kind in interviews and people who’ve worked with her say she’s approachable. OK! seems to have an issue with her and is looking for something to nitpick about. Maybe it’s true that she kept mostly to herself on the first day, but she might just take time to warm up to people. That’s doesn’t mean she’s an “ice queen.” I’m a little shy too on the first day at a new workplace and try to focus on the job. Stories like this really make me think that Aniston is damned no matter what she does.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly broke and living on her relatively meager appearance fees, whatever she makes from those leggings and spray tan stuff she endorses, and the cash her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, brings in as an in-demand DJ. She’s admitted that being an unemployed actress is “scary” but continues to blame other people for the fact that she’s not getting work, saying that her “dream… is all possible if people would just stop judging me and accusing me and making me out to be this aloof, spoiled, ungrateful and unprofessional person.” As if she doesn’t convince us of that every time she opens her mouth.
Lohan probably has enough money coming in without getting high-paid acting jobs to keep most people afloat, but she spends most of it on luxury goods and frivolous things. Many people were rolling their eyes when they heard that Lohan had a new Maserati, which could have been leased but was still completely unnecessary. It just seemed to be another example of the 22 year-old living above her means. Except neither Lindsay nor Sam paid for that car. It was supposedly lent to her by a guy who makes adult films. TMZ said it came with no strings attached. Yeah, right:
If you ever thought, “How the hell did Lindsay Lohan pay for that $115,000 Maserati?” — here’s your answer … she didn’t.
The guy crazy enough to trust the exotic ride to a person with more traffic drama than Britney Spears is Dennis DeSantis — a porn king who’s produced such legendary classics as “Origami So Horny” and “Butt Sluts.”
No word on why Dennis lent LiLo the car — but we’re told there’s no XXX catch to drive the ride. And as for the damage Lindsay’s assistant caused to the whip, we’re told Double D isn’t even sweating it — and will let Linz drive the car after it’s been repaired — an estimated $10,000 job.

How does Lindsay know this guy and why is he lending her a car worth six figures and letting her keep it even after her assistant dinged it? What does Sam think about Lindsay driving a car from some guy who makes adult films? Is this her next career move? She wouldn’t have to worry about where the money is coming from, although it would slip through her fingers just as quickly and all she’d be left with was a heaping mess of useless designer goods and some footage that she may or may not regret.
I would not be surprised if she did some sort of soft core stuff next and justified it as “art.” This guy Dennis DeSantis is probably hoping for that too.

Madonna has come under a lot of well-deserved fire for jetting into poverty-striken Malawai with the intention of adopting a little girl, Mercy, who has a living grandmother who was hoping her granddaughter could stay in the country. If the adoption goes through this will be the second time Madonna has flouted Malawian adoption laws, which require adoptive parents to stay in the country for 18 months. In 2006 she adopted David Banda, who has a living father who could not afford to keep him. Madonna is starting schools, funding orphanges, and helping Malawai monetarily, but does that mean that she can leave with a child despite the objections of their family and the fact that she’s breaking the law?
The Huffington Post points out a minor detail that seems to highlight the glaring issues of class disparity in this case. Madonna wore a Chanel sweatsuit to tour an impoverished school in Malawi. The sweatsuit was worth $2,800, more than ten times the average yearly income in the nation:

After arriving she toured an impoverished school but refused to talk to reporters. She was, in the words of the AP, “dressed casually” in a black velour tracksuit and white fedora. But that casual look costs about $2,800.
A look at the photos shows her dressed-down attire is a Chanel tracksuit, tone-on-tone labels blazing from her shoulder and the stripes down her leg. Huffington Post placed a call to the 57th Street store in New York Monday with a casual inquiry, and a helpful saleswoman priced a similar ensemble at $2,800.
A zip front jacket is $1,600 and the pants about $1,200. A cheaper alternative to the one Madonna wore in Malawi is the $1,200 pullover jacket. Currently the store is stocking the velour in gray. They also have the tracksuit in cashmere for several hundred dollars more. Chanel clothing is not available online.

Of course Madonna can wear whatever she wants, and she’s rich so she’s entitled to buy a sweatsuit worth enough to supply water to several villages. There are two schools of thought on this adoption. One is that Madonna is bringing awareness to the conditions in Malawi, that she’s spending money to ensure that things change, and that little Mercy will have a comfortable, privileged life with her and opportunities that she could never dream of if she stayed in Malawi. The other side is that Madonna is so insulated from the realities of the world that she thinks that she is just as entitled to a child with living family as she is to an insanely overpriced outfit.
Mercy is now staying with Madonna her three children and a nanny in a luxury lounge outside Lilongwe. David Banda, 4, saw his biological father for the first time in perhaps three years yesterday. David’s father told the press that Madonna canceled a scheduled meeting with him during another visit to Malawai two years ago, although some reports have him meeting David briefly at the time. The judge ruling on Mercy’s adoption has postponed her decision until Friday, but it’s easy to predict that Madonna will get her way. She usually does.

I would say “good for Britney,” but this is how she ended up with backup dancer K-Fed, who had a pregnant girlfriend at the time. It’s probably for the best that she didn’t stay with this guy, and he could have been a player.
Yesterday we heard a voicemail message supposedly left by Britney to an unknown lawyer in which she said that her father was threatening to take her children away if she didn’t cooperate with his conservatorship. The release of the recording may have been retaliation by a guy who runs a Britney fansite, Breathe Heavy, which has been slapped with a copyright infringement claim from Jamie Spears. The site owner claims that Jamie is targeting him because he has consistently spoken out against Britney’s conservatorship.
Whatever is going on with Britney and her dad, it’s hard to see how she would have come out on top again if he didn’t take over and weed out the negative influences in her life like Sam Lutfi and Adnan. She was being manipulated and drugged by Lutfi and there was little chance she could have escaped from him on her own, especially when she was driving around and staying in random hotels with Adnan. It’s a miracle that guy never sold a sex tape of her. She has a penchant for hooking up with guys that are bad for her. At least this one was only temporary.
