She?s been busy with her Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week duties all week, and it seems Alessandra Ambrosio couldn?t wait to get back to her kiddos on the West Coast.
On Thursday morning (September 12) the Brazilian supermodel took her son Noah for a fun-filled outing in Brentwood, California.
Alessandra and her little guy paid a visit to the Brentwood Country Mart and both wore matching Pink and grey-themed ensembles.
Earlier this week, Ms. Ambrosio was announced as one of the hotties slated to walk at the 2013 Victoria?s Secret Fashion Show, along with Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, Doutzen Kroes, and Candice Swanepoel.

I’m not sure why OMG! Yahoo looks like total ass now but they’re reporting Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t have a license to drive a Vespa or even a car in California.
Paltrow explained that she pulled in front of a school busand endangered her children a few days ago because she was trying to get away from paparazzi and she thought the school bus had stopped.
“Gwyneth was being followed by several very aggressive paparazzi,” he said. “And they kept swerving in front and back of her and made her very nervous driving and resulted in her pulling in front of the bus when she thought the bus had stopped.”
The video doesn’t really show that happening, but sure, Mrs. Celebrity, I believe you. Forget traffic laws because paparazzi are out to get you.
Still, OMG! says Paltrow hasn’t had a valid California license since 2004 and hasn’t ever taken a test to get a Class M1 license to drive a motorcycle/vespa/etc.
According to her reps, Paltrow had been living in London for a decade and “she just moved back to California.” Adding, “She has 30 days to transfer her licenses, which are in the process of happening.” Though OMG! says the DMV requires drivers obtain a license within 10 days of moving to the state.
Anyway, Paltrow is still driving her Vespa but has since mounted cameras on the front and back of it. Hopefully in a week we’ll get a crazy dash cam video on YouTube we always see coming out of Russia. This one will probably be of Gwyneth maniacally running over paparazzi with her Vespa while screaming with delight.

Before Jenny McCarthy started dating Donnie Wahlberg, she thought he was a total homo. She gave him her number when he was on her VH1 talk show and he didn’t call for two weeks.
The couple first met in March on the set of McCarthy’s Vh1 talk show. “I went a year without dating anybody,” the buxom blonde recalled. “So I don’t know if I was really randy or really ready, but he was there and I gave him my phone number.” She added, “I’ve never given a guy my number, but I was interested.”
McCarthy, 40, was dumbfounded when she didn’t immediately hear from Wahlberg. “‘It took two weeks for him to call me back, and I thought for sure he was playing for a different team, if you know what I’m saying,” she said. “That’s of course my ego, a girl’s ego: ?He must be married, he’s gay, what’s wrong?’”
Or maybe he was debating on the pros and cons of dating a woman who thinks vaccinations lead to autism. If someone believes that despite all the scientific evidence to the contrary, who knows what she’s going to be like in the future. But looks like Donnie took a chance and decided to stick his dick in crazy. Yolo or something to that effect.

And it sounds like the 2013 Victoria?s Secret Fashion Show will be missing a mainstay as Miranda has been left off the roster this time around.
Earlier this year, Kerr?s contract as a VS Angel ran out, though the lingerie giant insisted they?d still be interested in hiring her on a per-gig basis.

Katherine Heigl has sort of become a cautionary tale for a lot of up and coming actors. One, you’re only as good as your last box office and, two, don’t be an asshole when you’re on top because if you ever become box office poison, people are going to be reluctant to work with you.
We haven’t seen much of Heigl in recent years. Ever since she went off on how sexistKnocked Up was,despite owing her film success to that movie, and removing herself from Emmy contention for Grey’s Anatomy because she thought the writing sucked,she’s been in fewer and fewer projects. That coupled with her overbearing and difficult to work with “momager,” Nancy, has made it impossible for her to find work. The Hollywood Reporter did a story on how it all happened and the rise and fall and potential rebirth of Heigl.
Not even five short years ago, Heigl commanded $12 million for a movie. Her 2009 romantic comedy The Ugly Truth pulled in more than $200 million worldwide. But her most recent effort, The Big Wedding, topped out at $21.8 million domestic with a paltry 7 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. To be fair, that was something of an ensemble effort with a cast that included Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton. Her most recent film before that, One for the Money, managed only $37 million worldwide with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 2 percent.
[...] As has been the case since the days when Heigl was a child model, her mother was fiercely protective. “I have never experienced anything like Nancy Heigl,” says this source. “It’s about the mouth. ‘F— you. You are a f—ing liar.’ ? Whatever you’d say, you were an idiot. The call would be, ‘This is the worst craft service we’ve ever had! There’s nothing to eat! This is the worst wardrobe!’ You knew that every day, you were going to get slammed. The frustrating part is [Heigl] is incredibly talented and smart.”
[...]There seems to be little doubt about Heigl’s talent, but still, not everyone is convinced that her television comeback will be successful. “If you make your picks based on stable actors, it’d be a small list,” acknowledges a top television executive. But given Heigl’s reputation, he says a project would have to be blazing hot for a network to consider getting involved. A top producer at another network says there were reservations when Heigl’s name came up a few months ago for a project that had been greenlighted to pilot: “On many levels, she would have been perfect for the role, but all of us said, ‘She’s not worth it.’ ” But sources say NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt personally pushed for the deal. He declined comment.
Grey’s Anatomy wouldn’t take her back even though she expressed interest in returning in 2012.Heigl is now back to tv in a new series hoping to find success again.
Of course, not everyone has bad things to say about Heigl. Some supporters, including Greg Berlanti, says, “I would work with her again in a heartbeat.She’s an amazing actress, and her in a TV show that’s a great idea and well executed would be something I would watch and would feel lucky to work on myself.”
Obviously there are two sides to every story. This could just be a case of two type-A personalities butting heads. But if Heigl’s comments about her past projects are any indication, it may simply be because she’s an ungrateful asshat. It’s like being invited to an exclusive party and then turning around and publicly humiliating the person who brought you. Bad form, man. You’re supposed to that kind of stuff behind their backs like everyone else.

With Meryl Streep MIA at TIFF, Julia Roberts had all of her dreams come true: the spotlight all for her. Everyone got to revel in The Joy of Julia. It was truly all about Julia during the TIFF promotion for August: Osage County. Too bad that news broke during the festival that Julia had been demoted to ?Supporting Actress? so Meryl Streep could go head-to-head with Cate Blanchett. But that just gave Julia the perfect opportunity to humble-brag about how great it was to work with Meryl and how Meryl works super-hard to be where she is. And somehow, even Meryl?s performance became all about Julia. MAGIC!
Working with Meryl Streep is a dream come true for any actress ? and Julia Roberts is no exception. But Roberts, 45, admits her longtime fantasy never involved butt pads, flop sweat and a chokehold.
Still, that proved to be their reality when Roberts was cast to play Streep’s eldest daughter in August: Osage County, the film version of Tracy Letts’s 2008 Tony-winning best play about a dysfunctional Oklahoma family gathered around their sharp-tongued, eccentric dying mother, played by Streep, 64.
“It was intimidating, certainly, to be in these scenes with her, choking her, things like that,” Roberts admitted at Tuesday’s Toronto International Film Festival press conference for the movie. “That’s not how I pictured it going in my mind all these years when I thought we’d be together, drinking tea together and speaking in fabulous accents and dressed up and looking very chic.”
Her projection strayed from the reality, however. “And instead there I am sweating and wearing a big butt pad,” she added. “So that’s not how it was in my dream.”
Not that this was in any way a disappointment.
“It was the best acting experience in my life,” Roberts declared. “Our experience was a treasure box of discovery for me. And at the top of the heap was … Meryl Streep, who showed that it is about working hard. Because I’ve never seen anybody work harder than she works. She doesn’t just snap her fingers and be a genius. She really is just the hardest working girl in the room. I was so grateful to see that up close.”
Yet despite her passion for the film, Roberts, mother of twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 8, and son Henry, 6, said family trumps the trappings of fame every time.
“Family values, that’s values in general,” she responded when asked whether family or fame is more important. “That’s all there is. Fame is a summer breeze that comes and goes. But to have a bedrock of knowing who you are, that’s what it’s all about.”

But seriously, about her ?family values? quote? good God. Even if you philosophically agree with her, whenever Julia says anything, you just want to disagree because she sounds so smug and full of herself. Plus, I don?t think she has any room to talk about family values. Maybe she should tell her husband?s ex-wife about her family values.

Joined by her children Pax and Shiloh, the ?Changeling? actress exited the exclusive Qantas Chairman?s Lounge at Sydney International Airport to board a plane bound for Brisbane.
Jolie has been gearing up to film her new movie ?Unbroken? in the land down under, and she just put out the call for ?very skinny? Aussie men to be extras in the flick.
The casting request from Crme Management in Queensland states, "Angelina Jolie film seeking background extras, males 17-50 years, very skinny Caucasian males that can portray a Prisoner of War in a detention camp in World War Two."

Maybe it?s gossip sixth-sense. Maybe it?s just a lucky guess. But I?ve always known that Katherine Heigl is a piece of work. It?s not just ?oh, she?s brassy and opinionated and THE MAN doesn?t like that.? Nope. She?s just unpleasant, greedy and rude. She alienates coworkers wherever she goes. She?s disloyal and narcissistic during interviews. Anyone who has ever dealt with her in a professional setting never wants to work with her again. And that says something, you know? If it was just an odd story here or there, you could say ?well, it?s just a clash of personalities? or ?that guy just doesn?t like sassy women.? Again, not so much. When it?s the overwhelming majority of people who have ever dealt with her, yeah? believe it. She?s not your sassy girlfriend. She?s just an unprofessional a?hole who gets it away with bad behavior because she?s a blonde America?s Sweetheart type.
So how bad has it gotten for Heigl? Pretty bad. So bad that she?s coming back to television after she flunked out of her big movie career. So bad that as soon as she got her hands on a TV project, all of her enemies have come out of the woodwork to bad-mouth her to The Hollywood Reporter. You can read the full piece here? it?s full of amazing Hollywood bitchery. Some highlights:
*Asked about the state of Heigl’s career, a top executive at a studio that made one of her movies says tartly, “I think she’s doing the perfect thing — going back to television.”
*[An] insider on the [Life As We Know It] recalls “desperately difficult situations” with Heigl, from casting to wardrobe and beyond. (Heigl, who was paid $12 million, didn’t have casting approval but insisted on exercising it, says this source.) “She can cost you time every single day of shooting,” says this person. “Wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day. Even getting her deal closed at Warners was hard. She hit that point of ‘no.’ ”

Heigl had her first full-on starring role in the romantic comedy 27 Dresses, but in the Vanity Fair cover story to promote that film, she vented about the negative turn that her Grey’s character had taken. Izzie’s arc was “a ratings ploy,” she said, because the show was in its fourth season and “there’s not a lot of spontaneity left.” (The show is about to begin its 10th season). Heigl also disparaged Knocked Up, and the notion that she was not only ungrateful but disloyal began to take hold.
*Production had gone smoothly on 27 Dresses, says a high-level source involved in the film, until it was time to promote the picture overseas. “There were movie-star demands — big rooms, the mother there, all the stuff,” says this person. ” ‘We need the presidential suite at The Bristol!’ It was just a sense of entitlement. The biggest stars don’t do that kind of thing.” The prospect of working again with Heigl lost its allure.
*In June 2008, Heigl announced that she would not seek another Emmy for Grey’s, citing a desire “to maintain the integrity of the academy organization.” The show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, deflected questions about Heigl’s behavior at the time but told Oprah Winfrey in December 2012: “On some level, I was not surprised. When people show you who they are, believe them.”

To be somewhat fair to her, I cut out some of the quotes showing support for Katherine, which were spaced out in between the tales of her entitled diva behavior and disloyalty. For what?s it worth, I do think part (PART not ALL) of the problem is Heigl?s mom and the people around Heigl ? there are plenty of actors and actresses who act like huge d-bags on a regular basis, but you don?t hear about it as much because those actors have great teams of qualified people around them, protecting them and insulating them. Katherine doesn?t have that. But if she was serious about her career and about ?changing,? you?d think that she would realize that she should put a better team in place to manage her career? And that?s what I come back to ? because at the end of the day, Heigl is responsible for herself and her image and her team. If she hasn?t fired her mom yet, that means that she really hasn?t changed at all.

I have to take a moment. I find myself becoming a Taylor Swift Apologist. I can?t believe that this is happening. But for whatever reason, I think this week?s press stories about Swifty are rather unfair to her. We all know she?s boy-crazy and she has stalker-eyes and she loves high-drama relationships with unsuitable boys, and then when those relationships end, she writes hit songs about them. But can we take a moment and acknowledge that there are D-list boys who would love to make a name for themselves by dating Swifty? Because I think that?s what?s happening here.
So here?s what happened ? Taylor Swift came to TIFF to promote One Chance. She had written some music for the film. She attended the premiere and then she went to some TIFF parties. She ended up spending some time with an actor named Brenton Thwaites. He?s an Aussie, he was in that remake of The Blue Lagoon. Here?s a photo of Brenton:
He looks like an amalgamation of at least three of her ex-boyfriends: Conor Kennedy, Harry Styles and John Mayer. He has her #1 Most Important Boyfriend Feature: Good Hair. But all they really did was talk for a bit, pose for some photos and Taylor worked the room like a pro, talking to other people. Lainey said that Brenton seemed more into Taylor than she was into him. Which is what happens when D-listers want to make a name for themselves by dating Swifty. So now Brenton is trying to really make this happen by creating some drama around the situation, via his ?ex-girlfriend?:
Taylor Swift has made a musical career off of getting her heart broken. But now, she?s on the other side of things. After Taylor got cozy with Australian actor Brenton Thwaites at the Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday night, Brenton?s longtime love, model Jessica Campion, took to her Tumblr to air her own angst about having Taylor snatch up a man with whom she said she had ?unfinished business.?
Jessica and Brenton had a long-term relationship in their home country of Australia while Brenton was starring on the Aussie soap, Home and Away, but drifted apart when he left to film Blue Lagoon in 2012. Long distance relationships ?never work!? Jessica complained on her Tumblr, but admitted on her blog that she still hoped for a future with her first love.
?You and I will always have unfinished business,? she wrote in a post about Brenton in June 2012, signing off, ?Until we meet again Thwaites.?
And in August, she wrote a post seemingly aimed at her departed love.

?Oh sh*t,? one user wrote. ?Yeah, everyone?s freaking out about it. I guess Brenton and Taylor had dinner last night after an event. But f**k that, I like him better with you.?
Jessica responded, ?I don?t really know what to say? before posting a note from a fan that read, ?wouldn?t b surprised if [he] gets a song after hanging out with her [before] 2 long?
?Hopefully Taylor Swift fans don?t start bothering you,? Jessica posted from a fan, before answering, ?I?ll be fine.?
However, after that note she posted ?Worst. day. ever.? and reposted a note from a fan who wrote, ?don?t worry about it. her music is sh*t anyway ? and you?re prettier.?
Ironically, Jessica admitted, ?I actually own most of her music.?
Taylor and Brenton?s chemistry shocked guests at the Grey Goose Soho House in Toronto Tuesday night.
?I find myself hypnotized at the sight of these two fresh-faced young stars ? hitting it off as there?s no one in the room,? a reporter for Nuvo magazine wrote of the event.
?Swift doesn?t so much as flirt; it?s more like she sets the other person on fire. When she makes eye contact, it?s like locking eyes with a real arctic fox. Sheer magnetism. With sly, coquettish language, she draws Thwaites closer by speaking in hushed tones.?

These are photos of Miley Cyrus’ various outfits during her latest stay in London. This black tanktop and pants combo is rather nice until one realizes that one side is sheer. Miley is showing off her booty yet again, and it seems so unhygienic to sit on public surfaces with no protection. Yuck.
Yesterday, we talked about how Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” video (directed by the revolting Terry Richardson) broke the VEVO record with 19 million views in the first 24 hours. I am now shaking my head in disbelief because the video has now climbed to 59 million views. Of course people are watching because she’s naked. I had to laugh this morning at Shirley Manson’s subtle callout on Facebook: “If as a young woman you want to rebel and you want to be free, try doing what it is the system that you are imprisoned by, doesn’t want you to do. It is not remotely clever, subversive, outrageous or even that interesting to be naked. I do it all the time. What else you got?” Well Miley sat down with the Elvis Duran radio show to say the video is so much more than nudity:
“Wrecking Ball” vid is about vulnerability: “I think the video is much more [than that]. If people get past the point I make, and you actually look at me, you can tell I look more broken than even the song sounds. The song is a pop ballad that everyone can relate to; everyone has felt that feeling at some point. If people can take their minds off the obvious and go into their imagination and see what the video really means, it is so vulnerable. These attention-grabs are 100% desired by Miley, but Larry is an expert at timing.
Oh here’s some Liam Hemsworth “news”: The latest issue of Us Weekly (via Radar Online) claims Liam is still sexting with January Jones. He’s texting clever things such as “I want to f— you.” Further, “Liam and Miley haven?t officially split, but it’s over. It’s just that neither wants to pull the trigger.”

Is anyone still interested in Jake Gyllenhaal? I?m sure some people are. But isn?t it weird how it seems like he largely dropped out of sight for several years? You know what it was? He dropped off just after the shenanigans with Taylor Swift. That was the beginning of the end. What is painful for me is that Jake actually is/was a decent actor. He could have been a contender. He could have continued to quietly move away from the ?disturbed young adult? roles that made him famous and moved into ?real adult acting in quality dramas?. But Jake stumbled big time. He tried to be an action star and that failed. He tried to be a romantic hero (on and off the screen) and that failed too as he still has Swifty stank on his image.
Anyway, Jake is still an actor. He?s promoting Prisoners, that ensemble film with Hugh Jackman, Viola Davis and Paul Dano. I think the movie looks stupid, but what do I know? So Jake covers the 10th anniversary issue of VMAN Mag, and the interview is incredibly boring:
On discoveries as an actor: ?More and more, I?ve tried to ask myself about myself ? that?s one of the reasons I love other actors, I discover what I want to talk about when I begin to exchange with someone else. You constantly stay alive, stay awake, listen to yourself.?
On how he disappeared for a few years: ?I made a number of changes in my life ? I moved from Los Angeles to New York City, really to be closer to my family, and also ? I had made a lot of promises to myself about getting back to theater, which is what I love, and I really wanted to follow that ? so I just made this sort of big move out East, which is the opposite move people usually make, and I basically took some time.?
He?s a Method Actor: “Maybe some people can be fooled but I’m not interested in that. I think it’s possible to be intimate in your work. It means asking questions of yourself, it demands trust. And that is scary, because you never know if you are completely safe, and it’s not always pretty but I’m pretty damn sure its the only way to go. I’m looking for the roles that will amount to my expressing as much as possible. What I’m looking for is all sides of myself.”
Prisoners co-star Hugh Jackman on Jake: ?What always impressed me about Jake was his steadfast commitment to connection, His work ethic is like mine: he loves to explore, dig and extract every ounce of depth in a scene. He has the courage to follow his instincts and helps create an atmosphere where anything is possible. He is open, always striving for truth and complexity. What he has pulled off in Prisoners is extraordinary.?

Maybe the problem is Hollywood. Maybe the problem is that Hollywood doesn?t really know what to do with an actor like Jake Gyllenhaal. He?s proven that he can?t really be an action star. But I think it?s possible he could find his footing as a romantic lead. He?s incredibly earnest, he can play tragic and vulnerable very well? but Hollywood rarely makes those kinds of movies anymore. And so Jake is in a rut. Maybe it?s good that he?s going back to the theater.

I didn’t want to give Jenny McCarthy any attention for showing up at an event with her tatas hanging out. She does this regularly, just like she regularly talks about her personal grooming, her sex life and her relationships. McCarthy made her debut as a new co-host on The View yesterday so I guess she brought her boobs out to remind us.
As promotion for her new gig, Jenny did a radio interview with a NYC station. She talked about her new relationship, with New Kids on The Block’s Donnie Wahlberg. Jenny hit on Donnie when he was a guest on her VH1 talkshow back in March. In the radio interview Jenny claimed that she “went a year without dating anybody,” but it wasn’t quite that long by my count. Jenny broke up with her last boyfriend in August of last year. Anyway Jenny gave Donnie her phone number, and since it took him 2 weeks to call her she assumed he was gay or married in the interim:
The blonde bombshell started her new job as a host on The View on Monday and her boyfriend was a guest, but she revealed that she wasn?t sure he was even interested in her at first.
?He was on my talk show for Vh1 and I went a year without dating anybody. So I don?t know if I was really randy or really ready but he was there and I gave him my phone number, which I?ve never given a guy my number but I was interested,? Jenny told Scott & Todd on 95.5 PLJ Radio in New York City on Tuesday.
But he played a game and made her wait, which freaked her out.
?It took two weeks for him to call me back and I thought for sure he was playing for a different team, if you know what I?m saying,? Jenny explained.
She said that she was doing the typical girl worrying, ?That?s of course my ego, a girl?s ego, he must be married, he?s gay, What?s wrong??
He finally dialed her up and Jenny said that ?it was really great and we talked for a while. We took it slow.?

That’s ego indeed. It doesn’t have to be soul crushing when someone isn’t interested. It could be a timing issue or maybe the guy has a different ‘type’. Jenny is saying that it must be the guy’s problem. The subtext is that she’s so desirable that only a gay or attached man wouldn’t want her. She just rubs me the wrong way. It’s not too much of a stretch to think that many guys find her as annoying as I do. She’s superficially “hot” though, I’ll give her that. Not that she can dress at all.

There seems to have been a shift in their relationship lately. Madonna actually let Brahim escort her to the Met Gala! Remember, she used to keep him under wraps for big events. We’d see pics of Brahim dancing onstage with her, and they’d go clubbing and play grab ass on family vacations. The Met Gala is a pretty big deal, so it says something that Madge let Brahim play with the big kids. Now In Touch is saying that Madonna is actually referring to Brahim as her fiance. Is it true?

An eyewitness tells the new issue of In Touch that Madonna introduced her 25-year-old boyfriend of two years, Brahim Zaibat, as her fianc at an Sept. 4 Rosh Hashanah service at the Kabbalah Centre in NYC.
And the singer wasn?t shy to introduce Zaibat as her new fianc in front of her kids and other guests. ?She looked so happy and didn?t try to keep it a secret,? the witness tells In Touch. ?It was like she wanted everyone to know she was going to marry this man.?
Madonna and Zaibat have attended numerous services at the Kabbalah Centre together, but this is the first she has introduced him as more than her boyfriend.

Gossip Cop has already shot down this story as false, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true. I think if they do get married, they’ll elope. By the way, Brahim signed onto the new season of the French version of DWTS. It would surprise me if Madonna hasn’t thought of putting a ring on it so he didn’t roam too far in the process.
Interestingly enough, Brahim just did a new interview with RTL France in which he talks quite a lot about Madonna. Among other things, he said, “She’s not a monster … she’s a normal woman … I respect her … She’s a machine … My life hasn’t changed.” Perhaps there was something lost in translation, but this guy sounds like a pretty, dim bulb. At least he’s not still droning on about his amazing talent.

Here are some photos of Zooey Deschanel at the Fox Eco Casino event on Monday evening. I am digging her summery white dress that would have looked bland if not for the bow-tied leather belt and the cool lace detailing at the bottom. It’s all in the details, you know? Zooey is great at hunting out cute, vintag-y dresses like this one. The Pink shoes are a bit much with the butterfly wings, but overall, this fits Zooey’s signature style.
Zooey sat down with the newish MAKERS website, which is run by PBS and AOL and celebrates the “pioneering contributes by women” covering the last five decades. She talks all about sexism in Hollywood and how girly girls are often considered to be unintelligent and incapable of fending for themselves. Zooey has previously spoken in terms of feeling dismissed because she dresses in a very feminine manner and likes to wear pink. Now she’s discussing how this attitude extends into Hollywood roles for women:
On sexism: “It’s sexist to think that somebody can?t act in a girly way or speak the way I want to speak or to assume that I’m not a strong and intelligent woman because of my appearance.”
On The New Girl: “I was attracted to The New Girl because I hadn’t read a part this great for a woman in a really long time. I liked the fact that this was a female character who was emotional, who was girly. It was so refreshing to get to do a role that is sorta the clown. That was something that I could always do but never had the chance to do because, you know, you’re playing someone’s girlfriend or friend who’s shaking their finger and normal.”
On her teen years: “I did the opposite of what people do. I was a wild, crazy kid and then I became sort of composed and disciplined as a teenager. When I was 17, I wrote a letter to Vogue about an article they titled, ‘America’s Beauty Ideal.’ I don?t think any woman should have to feel as if she needs to shove herself into an ‘ideal’ to be beautiful. Beauty should be something that is celebrated and something that is enjoyable, not something that people should feel uncomfortable about achieving…”
Her early career sucked: “As soon as I got my driver’s license, I was out there after school driving myself to auditions. I was terrible for that first year of auditions. I was nervous, and I would shake. I was terrified, so I sort of needed to get my sea legs. My audition legs.”

I think it took a lot of balls for Zooey to write a letter to Vogue at age 17. I’m sure the magazine didn’t even glance a second at the contents since it didn’t fit their agenda, but how many other 17-year-old girls would have bothered to make such an objection. Not many.
Zooey is already hard at work on the third season of The New Girl. She did movies for several years, so she probably relishes the stable schedule provided by television.

OH NOES. What happened to Cate Blanchett?! These are photos from Cate?s AnOther Magazine editorial, and I guess some stylist/makeup artist/photographer thought it would be cool or avant-garde to photograph Cate looking like some animal chewed off most of her eyebrows. Cate usually has some of the most amazing skin ever, so I?m at a loss to explain why she looks so corpsey and? not good. This shoot is horrible, right? I mean, I?m all for getting actors to step out of their comfort zone for an interesting photo shoot, but there is NOTHING attractive in these pics. That being said, they could have been so much worse, I suppose. Oh, I guess I should note that these photos are an homage to ?1920s androgynous cabaret performer Anita Berber.? Sure.
Cate is promoting Blue Jasmine, which will probably earn her a second Oscar this year. She really threw down the gauntlet for actresses this awards season. Meryl Streep will be likely be challenging her, and maybe Amy Adams too?? But right now I think it might be all about Cate. Here are some highlights from her AnOther interview:

I like how blas she is about how under-watched some of her films are. I?ll admit it, I never say Veronica Guerin, although I do remember that she received good reviews for that one. Giving her a bit more piece of mind, Ashley Tisdale's accused stalker was sentenced to jail time and probation on Wednesday (September 11).
According to the L.A. District Attorney's Office, who confirmed the details to E! News, 21-year-old Nicholas Fiore pled no contest to felony stalking and was sentenced to a year in jail and a year of outpatient counseling.
However, the judge gave Fiore a credit for already served jail time which means he will no longer stay behind bars. Though he may not be in the slammer, Nicholas was also slapped with five years of probation and was ordered to stay away from Ashley for the next 10 years.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Tisdale was granted a three year restraining order against Fiore back in June after he allegedly showed up at her house and sent her more than 18,000 tweets.

She's the talk of the town lately and Miley Cyrus headed out to do some gabbing of her own with Alan Carr in London on Wednesday (September 11).
The "We Can't Stop" singer sported an airbrushed denim jacket with "Beverly Hills" on the back, denim cutoffs, and thigh-high black boots as she waved to fans before heading inside.
In an interview with Elvis Duran on Z100 earlier that day, the 20-year-old former Disney darling downplayed the controversy over her "Wrecking Ball" music video.
Directed by photographer Terry Richardson, the images include a naked Ms. Cyrus riding a wrecking ball and seductively licking a sledgehammer.
However, Miley insists that it's so much more, telling the host about the song about a troubled relationship, "If people get past the point I make, and you actually look at me, you can tell I look more broken than even the song sounds."
Hoping her fans can put aside the shock value, she continued, " If people can take their minds off the obvious and go into their imagination and see what the video really means, it is so vulnerable.
