Taking a trip to South America, Taylor Swift showed up at the Rio de Janeiro International Airport in Brazil today (September 12).
Showing some love to her throngs of fans, the ?Should?ve Said No? singer looked thrilled as she posed for pictures and signed autographs as part of the promotional duties for her forthcoming album Red.
And it sounds like Taylor?s tribute song to a 3-year-old cancer victim named Ronan made quite an impression on the late toddler?s mother, Maya Thompson.
Swift performed the track at the Stand Up to Cancer telethon on Friday night (September 7), prompting Thompson to break down in tears.
Maya gushed, ?I couldn?t even focus on the words that were coming out of Taylor?s mouth. All I could see was the raw emotion, sadness, beauty, and pain that filled her face. She looked like an angel. At this point, I?m pretty sure I had snot dripping down my face and my mascara had completely washed off, leaving black streaks running down my cheeks."
Thompson also explained how the song came into being- ?Taylor had been reading my blog for a while and heard that Ronan had passed away. And she was just devastated by it.?

Doutzen Kroes was in Miami modeling for Victoria’s Secret in a bikini and I can see why. She has some of the nicest abs for a model. It’s probably firm yet supple. Refusing to show off her pearly whites, Kate Beckinsale returned home from the dentist in Beverly Hills today (September 11).
The "Underworld" star wore all white - top, sweater, and drawstring pants - with a brown handbag. Her husband, director Len Wiseman, followed close behind carrying her bag of goodies from the tooth doctor.
While filming the recently released movie,"Total Recall", the two were placed in an uncomfortable situation in which Wiseman had to direct his beloved wife in a sex scene with the hunky Colin Farrell. Adding insult to injury, Kate dated Colin prior to meeting her husband.
The 39 year-old actress shrugged off the ordeal, telling The Sun, "I?ve done it with somebody else in front of my husband before so I think it was actually much more awkward for Colin. He was the one who was like, ?Are we done? Are we good???
If the shoe were on the other foot, Kate wouldn't be as forgiving, saying ,?It?s nice that Len is not very jealous and can be relaxed about me doing these scenes, but he would never be allowed to do that."

Anna Paquin and her husband Stephen Moyer revealed yesterday that she gave birth to the True Blood twins. People magazine says:
?We can confirm that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer recently welcomed their twins into the world,? reps for the actors [said in a statement].
?The babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and both Mom and Dad are overjoyed.?
These are the first children together for Paquin, 30, and Moyer, 42, who were married in August 2010.
So we don’t know when it happened, how it happened, the gender of the babies or even their names. This must be what it feels like to be Fox News.
Anna Sui makes a similar black floral dress, but I don’t know why in God’s name you’d ever wear it.

How adorable are these photos? Owen Wilson was seen and photographed on the Atlanta, Georgia set of his new film, The Internship, and he was bouncing around his son, Robert Ford (Robert Ford Wilson?). Owen and his girlfriend (at the time) Jude Duell welcomed Robert Ford into the world in January 2011. Shortly after that, there were multiple reports of paternity drama, of Owen and Jade having problems in their relationship, of Owen being out and about, partying with ladies. And following those reports, there was the claim that Owen and Jade were over. Never confirmed, never denied.
But it?s nice to see Owen with his look-alike son. I guess Robert Ford is? let?s do the math? 20 months old? More than a year and a half, let?s say that. He?s a little cutie, and he and his dad seem to have a (surprisingly) strong bond. Appearances can be deceiving, of course, but Owen seems incredibly comfortable with his kid and the kid seems very comfortable with him too. Which is always nice to see.
As for the film Owen is working on, The Internship. He?s working with Vince Vaughn again. Because all of those ?funny guys? just make the same films with each other, over and over and over again. This one is about two 40-something dudes who scheme and scam their way into internships at Google. Vince described the film this way: ?We get free food, we get to play ping pong and take naps. We find a way to get into the intern program and try to get a job there. It’s fun to go back and do some R-rated comedies again.?

The big premiere of X Factor starring Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and of course Simon Cowell as judges, is tonight. As part of the build up, Simon has strategically been releasing stories about Britney, because he knows that people are just waiting for her to stir up controversy and/or mess up somehow. Last week, Simon admitted to TMZ that the stories about Britney walking off the X Factor set on her first day were true. This is in contrast to denials made at the time. Simon told TMZ that they tried to smooth the story over with the press, but that it did happen and that Britney had a panic attack. Britney also told Elle Magazine, which she covers this October, that she suffered panic attacks on her first day on set. She said she was “extremely nervous. Like, I was having panic attack after panic attack.”
As part of the big build up to the X-Factor, The Daily Beast has a new profile of Britney’s fiance, Jason Trawick. It’s a well written piece that paints Trawick as a very decent, hardworking guy on one hand but also the architect of Britney’s comeback, and her guardian, on the other. Author Ramin Setoodeh dances around the subject of whether Britney is being manipulated by Trawick. Here are some relevant parts:
Trawick, 40, is often credited with performing a kind of Houdini act on Britney, 30. After her meltdown, which included losing custody of her kids, rehab, hitting paparazzi with her car, being institutionalized, and countless other crazy moments (like the disastrous performance of ?Gimme More? at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards), he?in tandem with her father, Jamie Spears?seemingly helped Britney reappear on planet Earth, at least looking normal. He accomplished this turnaround first as the agent who signed her to William Morris Endeavor Entertainment in 2008. In 2009, their relationship turned romantic. In 2011, Trawick quit his job to focus solely on Britney?and last December, they got engaged.
It?s hard to tell who benefits from this relationship more. Spears is one of the most successful acts in the history of pop music. She?s worth an estimated $200 million and her seven albums have sold more than 100 million copies. But in 2007, after the sad series of bizarre personal episodes, Britney?s career hit a wall. (Through her publicist, Spears declined to comment. Trawick offered to look at questions over email, but never responded.) She returned in her 2009 Circus comeback tour, during which Britney stood glassy-eyed in sold-out arenas, lip-syncing her old hits. Some people noticed the new Spears looked vacant, but it didn?t matter. The tour, an exercise in voyeurism, grossed more than $131 million.
Since 2008, Spears?s dad Jamie has been the sole conservator of her estate. In April a court appointed Trawick as the co-conservator, a situation that arises when a court decides a person ?can?t adequately provide food, clothing, and shelter? for herself, says Meg Lodise, a partner at a Los Angeles law firm specializing in conservatorships. In other words, Britney has all the rights of a child.
Nevertheless, she?s poised to debut as a judge on The X Factor this week, and sources say that Trawick was key in convincing her to accept a $15 million, one-year contract to join the Simon Cowell singing Olympics. During audition rounds, gossip sites were salivating at reports that Spears frequently had to abandon her judge?s perch for a break?it became part of the hype of the show?and, according to one TV source, Trawick was always waiting in the wings. To prove that she?s normal, he?s booked her first magazine covers and talk-show appearances in a while.
The Britney press tour kicked off with a story in Elle magazine?Elle released images and interview snippets last week. Trawick appears in one of the photos; they cuddle as he holds a guitar. He also let it slip to the writer that Spears pursued him, not the other way around. ?OK, that?s enough information, sweetie,? Spears said, interrupting the story. A few days later, a source told Radar Online that Trawick was lying and that he ?had feelings for Britney for a very, very long time.?…
Shy or not, Spears gravitated to Trawick?s outgoing personality, and she started to rely on him more and more. He?s not the typical Ari Gold agent, with the greasy handshake and temper tantrums. According to one close former colleague, Trawick is so easy going, he never even raises his voice. Trawick grew up on Long Island, with dreams of becoming a professional hockey player. When those didn?t pan out, he moved to Hollywood and worked his way up from the agency mailroom. He had a reputation for inserting himself into meetings, but because of his nonthreatening demeanor, nobody objected. Once he became a full-fledged agent, he started handling crossover talent, such as singers who were big enough to big actors and vice versa. His roster included Taylor Swift, Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton, and country star Dwight Yoakam…
Trawick?s former work colleagues liked him, too. But looking back, they noticed a drastic physical transformation once he started dating Spears. The Daily Mail reported he lost 50 pounds by cutting carbs from his diet. He traded his bulky plaid shirts for fitted suits. He always brought a heavy-duty hockey duffel with him to work, but he hit the gym more often and toned down. ?If he was working out, he wanted her to join him,? says a source. In an effort to be healthier, he and Spears both vowed to quit smoking together. (He failed.). And nearly everyone I interviewed stressed how good a parental figure he?s been to her sons?Sean Preston, who turns 7 this week, and Jayden James, whose sixth birthday is Wednesday. On Halloween, he?d order their costumes online and he was constantly buying them toys, like Spider-Man and GI Joe action figures.
Let?s remember that Trawick is romantically involved with a woman who has the same legal rights as a child. It sounds like a potentially difficult situation.
We fans and viewers won?t get a glimpse of the real Spears until October. That?s when The X Factor transitions from taped auditions to a live competition, and we see what Spears looks and acts like without the powers of editing. If she self-destructs in front of the world again, X Factor ratings will go through the roof, but at the cost of her own well-being.

So I guess we’ll have to see how Britney does on X-Factor, but at least part of that will be down to editing. Since producers acted like Britney was fine, they may just cut her walk-offs out of the show. It’s hard to tell now that Simon has owned up to it though. That was clever, and I know it will get me to tune in.
As for whether Jason is pulling the strings, maybe he is. Maybe that’s what Britney needs at this time. I don’t know. I just hope that if she feels like he’s controlling her she also feels like she doesn’t have to marry him.

Making fans everywhere eager for Sunday to arrive, Oprah has released a preview of her next episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" featuring Usher.
In the video, the infamous talk show queen dishes about what the R&B superstar will be opening up about, and judging by the clip, it's a "no holds barred" interview full of questions everyone is dying to hear about.
The clip shows Winfrey explaining that this will be the singer's first and only time to talk about his marriage, which will include whether or not he was faithful and all the drama behind the custody battle.
"Oprah's Next Chapter" will air Sunday October 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN, but you can check out the preview in the player below!

Sporting a loose-fitting monochrome dress with Givenchy boots, the ?Disaster Movie? hottie brought a massive amount of luggage with her for her journey.
Ever since she began dating Kanye West, Kim has been looking to expand her style horizons- she?s even hired a new fashion consultant.
?I introduced my stylist into the mix so we can kind of collaborate on a more sophisticated look on something that I felt kind of reflects my own personality and the changes that I've had in my life,? she explained.
?In regards to all the clothes, I definitely kept all the stash to the side for a couple of months to make sure that I liked the new stylist that he introduced me to. I put all my stuff in a guest room of mine for two months and once I didn't really feel the need to take anything - I liked evolving, I liked growing up a little bit.?

Joined by her partner Jeanne Yang, the ?Dawson?s Creek? star looked to be in good spirits as she posed at The Box at Lincoln Center as part of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week.
According to a report, Katie and Jeanne have banned the media from their actual presentation as a way of keeping everything focused on the new collection.
A statement declared, "Please note that tomorrow's Holmes & Yang presentation is CLOSED to all media, unless you have already been approved by their team. No media will be allowed to enter the venue, unless you have a direct invitation from the Holmes & Yang PR team."
Meanwhile, an insider shared, "This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny. They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business."

How sketchy is it that Posh and Harper have basically the same sized thighs? Anyway, these are some new photos of Posh and Harper at lunch yesterday at Pastis. I love Harper?s eyelet dress, and Harper?s insistence on always wearing bows. She?s perfect. In 16 years, I want Harper to get together with Flynn Kerr-Bloom.
Meanwhile, I forgot that Victoria was actually showing two lines at New York Fashion Week. On Sunday, she showed her higher-priced ?Victoria Beckham? line (which included eveningwear, etc), and yesterday, Victoria showed her Victoria by Victoria Beckham line, which is her ?economic ready-to-wear? line. Both lines were surprisingly well-received, especially Victoria by Victoria Beckham. Posh discussed her easy line:
Victoria Beckham’s latest collection for her contemporary line was inspired by her Los Angeles lifestyle. The singer-turned-designer showcased her spring/summer 2013 for her Victoria, Victoria Beckham range at New York Fashion Week yesterday (11.09.12) and she says she wanted to reflect her more casual side.
Victoria – who lives in Los Angeles with soccer star husband David and their four children – said: ”With this sportier approach and a laid-back ease these dresses represent everything I wanted to achieve with the line. I often get asked how living in LA has influenced my aesthetic and this season Californian street style has been a key inspiration. ‘For me, that sense of nonchalance embraces the new fresh attitude to femininity I wanted to convey while staying true to the essence of the label.”
A sunbleached palette and laidback vibe were evident in the collection of 60s-inspired dresses and prints included poppy florals and layered polka dots.
The dresses were not as tight-fitting as her more high end Victoria Beckham line and had a more daywear feel about them.
Victoria – who watched the show with 14-month-old daughter, Harper, sat on her lap – also said she wanted her sense of humour to come out in the collection.
She revealed: ”This is my fun side. It’s what I wear for the other half of my life. I have four kids. I really do like to have fun.”

I kept forgetting that Anna Paquin was pregnant, and then I completely forgot that she was expecting twins ? Anna and her husband Stephen Moyer announced the bit about twins months after the initial pregnancy announcement. Well, Anna gave birth! The couple released a carefully-worded statement to People Mag so I?m not exactly sure WHEN Anna gave birth, but it was recently and it was earlier than expected ? which happens often with twins and multiple births, right? I?ve always heard that women expecting more than one will often deliver weeks earlier than their due date. Anyway, twinsies!

No names have been released yet, and we don?t even know the genders. I?m hoping for a boy and girl for them, just because that would be fun, to experience both genders at once. I?m really rooting for Anna and Stephen, and I hope they?re in it for the long haul. I also hope that Anna?s career doesn?t take a hit now that she?s a mom. To her credit, I liked that Anna wasn?t getting pap?d constantly while pregnant. She didn?t seem to have any interest in selling her pregnancy like, say, Jessica Simpson. And it would have been the easiest thing in the world for Anna to have gone that route.

I had a small preview of this last week ?Blake Lively is the cover girl for the October issue of Allure. Which means that this cover interview was done a few months ago, before she was married to Ryan Reynolds. They were probably engaged, but she doesn?t even confirm that. What she does confirm? That she?s hellbent on becoming the most perfect 1950s housewife EVER! Which is par for the course when it comes to Blake and her recent interviews ? all about not working out, eating, cooking, cleaning, being a happy homemaker. There?s absolutely nothing wrong with that, but for the love of God, I wish she would change up her talking points once in a while. Some highlights from the piece:
Premarital bliss: “Right now, I’m so peaceful. I’ve never been happier in my life,” she adds.
Making the choice to be happy: “It’s the choice that you have to wake up every day and say, ‘There’s no reason today can’t be the best day of my life.’”
Family: “I’ve always wanted a big family. Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could.”

Happiness is a choice, you have to wake up and say that this day will be the best day of your life, I?ve never been happier, I am at peace with the world and all things in the world and DEAR GOD ENOUGH. I appreciate that kind of ?Zen? quality in people, but you have to admit? it makes for a pretty dull person.
Allure put up a slideshow using old photos of Blake (like, from her teenage years and her pre-nose job Hollywood years) and they got her to comment on the photos. You can see the slideshow here ? she talks about being tall and how she was a ?terrible, spastic dancer? in middle school how no one else at her middle school was doing the Kate Moss unbrushed hair thing. Avril Lavigne just couldn’t let her image suffer after she gushed about her new fiance and her teardrop-shaped 14 carat ring. Avril is hardcore, and she’s not going to let a scrapbooking proposal and a junior’s line at Kohl’s hold her back or make us think she’s soft. She dyed her hair green and pink, shaved half it and put some studs in it. Then she went on about the process to US Weekly and OK Magazine as if it was the coolest thing EVER. Avril was granting interviews from fashion week, where’s she’s showing her Abbey Dawn line. It gets better:
“Tonight I got a little wild with my hair dye in my hotel room,” Lavigne admitted to Us Weekly. “I’ve always dyed my hair and had fun with pinks and greens, but this evening I was celebrating Fashion Week, here in New York, and the fact that I’m having a runway show, which is a major deal for me and means a lot.”
“I just got dye happy and dyed my whole hair blond and then went crazy with these colors and studs,” she added. “I actually had Pink fingers, but I spent so long washing them.” – From US Weekly

Although her collection is top of mind, her impending nuptials to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, 37, bring out her giddiness. He asked for her hand in marriage Aug. 8 bearing a 14-carat diamond sparkler.
?What was grand about the proposal was the fact that it was really natural,? she says wistfully. ?We met in the studio, and were friends for a while. One of our last days in the studio was when he proposed. It was super-romantic, and had a lot of meaning behind it.?

?I have been planning in my head,? she says with a laugh.

Avril is 27 years old. This is something that Willow Smith would do. Even Miley didn’t do her own hair and brag about it, she hired a professional, like one does when they’re past Jr. high.
As for Avril’s “Bad-ass” wedding dress, you know it will have Pink skulls and purple stripes on it. I can’t hate on Avril though, she’s made a good living as a perpetually angsty pre-teen, sneering at her parents and blaring the pop music she thinks makes her different from all the other kids who listen to the same drivel. Only in Avril’s case she makes the music.

When I was very young (like, 13 or 14), I hated my pubescent body. Nowadays I would absolutely LOVE to have that figure again. Anyway, I wore a lot of baggy clothes, trying to do anything I could to mask all of my (mostly imagined) body imperfections. At that time, someone told me this great universal truth: baggy clothes don?t make you look smaller, and baggy clothes don?t mask your body. Baggy clothes only make you look BIGGER. Has anyone told that to Jessica Simpson? Because I really don?t think this glorified peasant-dress/muumuu is doing her body any favors. Yes, we can bitch and moan and analyze Jessica?s lies, but the truth is, I believe she?s a lot smaller than this dress would have us believe. Maybe we?re just supposed to be so hypnotized by her massive cleavage that we?re not supposed to look below the boobs. Now, THAT does work. I figured out that trick in my late teens: if you don?t like the way your ass looks, flash some cleavage and no one will notice anything else.
