Diaz continued, “It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life and it is what powers the light that burns inside of me.”

Mark Wahlberg has one style of acting. He’s like the Will Ferrell of dramas. If you listen to his angry voice and happy voice, they’re basically the same thing with a minor fluctuation in tone. A computer analyzing the sound waves couldn’t even tell the difference. You could get more emotion out of a cardboard box. Plus, his voice is so monotone. Listening to him is like listening to a professor lecture about string theory.
Here’s Marky Mark on the set of The Fighter shirtless to take attention off of his wooden acting. Christian Bale is in this film too which could suck for Wahlberg. It’s like when I stand naked next to Brad Pitt. I almost feel embarrassed for the guy.

Sure she’s dating Zac Efron, one of the hottest hunks in Hollywood. But Vanessa Hudgens doesn’t have any intentions of getting married anytime soon.
In a recent interview, the “High School Musical” hottie told press, “I think [marriage and starting a family] is great, but I’m so focused on my career right now that it doesn’t really cross my mind.”
And though she’s planning on taking a break from the musical genre, Vanessa says she’ll come back to it someday. “I think the best part about being an actor is playing different characters. I’m definitely going to revisit musicals later, once I feel accomplished at a certain point, that I’ve gone somewhere with my acting career. Then I’ll go back, because that’s where I grew up – in musicals.”
Hudgens also noted that she hopes to break into the edgy side of film. “The fact that kids look up to me in my role as Gabriella is flattering. But at the end of the day, I want to do R-rated films, and I want to do things that are a bit edgier, so maybe some kids can’t see some of them. I just think it’s really important to try different things. I think a lot of people get stuck doing the same routine, and I’m just not content with that. I love trying new things and doing new hobbies and just exploring life.”

Basterds is a period film, and I never really think of Brad Pitt as any kind of gadget/computer/technology guy, so it?s an unconventional way to promote a film.
I like his current hair color and the goatee, especially the grey that?s coming in. He looks his age - 45 - and he?s still handsome, but no longer ?pretty?. Both People and Entertainment Tonight have advanced excerpts of the Wired interview, so let?s see what Brad?s got to say:

The star of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Nazi-scalping action flick Inglourious Basterds graces the August cover of Wired magazine, and PEOPLE.com has a first look.
Pitt, 45, sports a wireless cell phone headset and gives advice ? in his Inglourious character ? on a variety of subjects, including conduct at work, etiquette and those sometimes awkward cyber dilemmas. “Who cares if your Warcraft wife is really a dude,” Pitt is quoted as saying on the cover. “If it’s good, don’t check under the hood.”
According to Wired, Pitt was intrigued by the magazine’s May Mystery issue, which featured Star Trek director/writer J.J. Abrams, and he wanted to break away from the traditional celebrity magazine story. For the photo shoot last month, Pitt came alone to the Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood and was photographed by portraitist Dan Winters.
The August issue of Wired hits newsstands July 21. Inglourious Basterds is due in theaters Aug. 21.

I sat through the 2001 Planet of The Apes remake silently praying the whole time that Mark Wahlberg would take his shirt off in at least one scene. Even when his damn space capsule crash landed in water, Wahlberg didn’t remove his shirt at all, nor did he wear a white shirt that got soaked to the best of my memory. It’s a shame, because that crapfest could have been moderately improved with several scenes of Wahlberg’s rippling abs.
It’s nice to see that over 15 years since the Marky Mark “Good Vibrations” video and Calvin Klein underwear ads, the 38 year-old father of three is still in top condition. Wahlberg wore some boxing shorts and little else except fake facial injuries on the Massachusetts set of The Fighter, the true story about two boxing brothers from South Boston who went out to face hard times when their careers ended. Yesterday we saw photos of Christian Bale looking shockingly thin on set. He plays Wahlberg’s half brother, who became addicted to crack.
Wahlberg plays “Irish” Mickey Ward, and according to Wikipedia the retired boxer is “best known for his trilogy of fights with the late Arturo Gatti” in the mid-90s. Ward’s older brother, Dickie Eklund, fought against Sugar Ray Leonard in 1978, and it looks like Leonard has at least a cameo in the film, as he was photographed on set. The film also stars Oscar nominated actresses Amy Adams and Melissa Leo. Leo is shown looking classy with poofy hair and a white button-up dress in the photos below.

Justin Timberlake was surprised by the paparazzi yesterday when he arrived at a West Hollywood hotel. There were several photographers there, and as you can see from some of the photos, when they first started snapping pictures, Justin looks really annoyed. Then something happened - we don?t know what. Either Justin Timberlake was in a horrible mood and he decide to take it out on one of the photographers, or the photographer said something nasty maybe, or said something personal. Either way, Justin got in this guy?s face. I would love to see video of this - the way they?re standing nearly nose to nose, I bet they were talking smack to each other under their breaths. Simply judging from the continuity of the photos, I think the paparazzo was the one to back down first.
This isn?t the first time JT and a paparazzo have gotten into it - back in September of 2006, when split rumors were swirling about JT and Cameron Diaz, they were photographed together one night. JT was surprised then too - and he attacked the photographers, sort of. He didn?t beat them or anything, just sort of ran towards them and got in their faces.
CB wants me to mention that it?s perfectly possible - perhaps even likely - that this paparazzo said something offensive to JT. CB says ?at least he didn?t smack the guy?. I don?t know - JT doesn?t seem violent, he seems like an all-talk-no-action kind of guy, so who knows? My guess for the paparazzo?s offensive comment is that he said something about Jessica Biel. Perhaps something about all of those split rumors.
I actually have a little conspiracy theory - JT was headed into a hotel, and he was obviously trying to use one of the more private entrances. My guess is that he was meeting someone he didn?t want everyone to know about, and that?s why he got angry when he was discovered. Another part of my conspiracy theory is that Jessica Biel keeps tipping off the photographers as to where she and/or Justin will be. I really think she?s been arranging many of the photo-ops we?ve seen of them the past two weeks, probably to convince us that they?re still strong and together.
In other Justin Timberlake news, JT is all about the golf. His Tennessee golf course is nearing completion, and soon people will be able to call in for reservations. JT actually bought the golf course he learned on as a kid - it was originally called Big Creek, but JT renamed it Mirimichi. It?s been renovated to be more challenging and more eco-friendly, and it will be open to the public. I probably shouldn?t admit this, but Jada Pinkett Smith annoys the hell out of me. She?s not a very gifted actress, and I find both her performances and her personality to be ?too hard?. I?m not talking about those lesbian rumors, and I?m definitely not saying I need women to be ?soft? or ?girly? to like them. It just seems like Jada is a difficult person to like or admire, or even relate to. She?s always talking about how great her life is, and how she and husband Will Smith are still hot for each other. She talks about their sex life constantly - so they?re either having sex constantly, or she?s very insecure and she overcompensates by giving too much information.
So it?s just more of the same with Jada?s new interview in Shape Magazine. Page Six has the early text of the interview, and they have a similar line of thinking on Jada?s constant TMI:

Jada’s most recent over-sharing comes in Shape magazine, where she gushes: “When you have three kids, you’ve got to take your opportunities when they come. In a limo, on the way to the Academy Awards this year, Will started looking at me in this way that drives me wild. We started kissing passionately, and the next thing I knew, well, let’s just say we missed the red carpet and I ended up with almost no makeup on.”

On the Shape site, they only have interview excerpts, but Jada is still talking non-stop about her crazy sex life. Maybe she really is insecure? Or maybe she really is that hellbent on selling us something:
This shift has also created a sense of balance in Jada’s relationship. “Will and I are yin and yang,” she says. “He’s all sky, vast and bright and soaring, and I’m all earth. I’m here to ground him, and he’s here to help me fly.” Case in point: When Jada put her acting career on hold between 2004 and 2005 to go on the road with her metal band, Wicked Wisdom, as part of the Ozzfest tour, Will not only supported her, he and the kids also went along for the ride.
While family is the couple’s main focus, Jada makes sure she and Will’s love life stays, well, lively. Besides doing her daily Kegels (”It keeps the sex hot,” says Jada), she takes time to nourish their relationship. “Last week we were stressed out, so I packed a picnic and took Will to a place we hiked to on one of our first dates. We sat and reminisced on that time in our life. Then we went home and made love. Thank God Will has simple tastes. Even the littlest thing for him is like, ?Wow!’?”

I?ve heard Will do the TMI thing too, so it?s a family thing. Still, Will does it much more sparingly than Jada, and when Will is doing it, I tend to buy it. Is he a superior actor, or are he and Jada telling the truth about their awesome sex life? If it?s so awesome, why rub it in our faces? If it?s so awesome, doesn?t that mean it?s private and personal? Maybe I?m being way too hard on Jada. All I know is that I wish I didn?t know so many intimate details of her sex life.

Lindsay is played by redhead Scarlett Fay. The Hustler Video movie also sees her get advice from pal Paris Hilton (Eden Adams) and have a catfight with Scarlett Johansson (Nicole Ray).
The movie is reportedly so accurate that her own mother almost believed it was actually Lindsay. Until the (NSFW) scene where Ron Jeremy shot his load all over her face, that is. “Oh, come on,” Ms. Lohan’s quoted as saying. “Everybody knows the REAL Lindsay Lohan would never let perfectly good spooge go to waste like that! My girl’s a swallower!” Interestingly, I once used those exact same words in a toast at my sister’s wedding, but I didn’t get nearly as many laughs. I think it?s all in the delivery.

Matt Damon was the co-founder of a wonderful charity called H2O Africa. The aim of the charity was to bring clean, drinkable water to the areas and communities in the African continent that are lacking. Not only are there substandard or nonexistent access to clean, drinkable water in much of the continent, but several countries in sub-Saharan Africa have been in the midst of a years-long drought.
Now Matt Damon and H2O Africa are joining forces with Gary White at WaterPartners to form a new organization: Water.org. Their goal? To bring ?clean, safe drinking water to some of the poorest communities on earth.? In the past few months, Matt has traveled to India and Ethiopia to view the situation with the lack of drinkable water. Matt made a press statement regarding the merger, and Water.org has full details about the merger:

Confession time: I actually love the Bridget Jones books and films. Even though I thought both the sequel book and film were rather cheesy, I still like the Bridget character, and I like how Renee Zellweger plays her. Although Renee has been in several films I adore, I tend to think Bridget Jones might be the one character Renee has created that will stand the test of time.
The whole Bridget Jones franchise has probably accumulated somewhere in the vicinity of $400-500 million. It?s like the girly version of Die Hard. And Hollywood kept churning out those Die Hard films, so I guess they thought, why not churn out another Bridget Jones movie? That?s just what Variety (story via People) is claiming:
Haul out the biscuits and gravy, crispy duck, Snickers, milk shakes, pizza and butter-soaked potatoes ? Renee Zellweger’s very special diet to get in shape to play Bridget Jones, because the Oscar winner is prepping to play the full-figured singleton once again.
Zellweger, 40, is expected to start filming at the end of this year what will be the third installment about the love-starved British publishing executive, Variety reports.
This time, the story will likely focus on 40-ish Bridget’s desire to have a baby before time runs out, as based on author Helen Fielding’s weekly newspaper columns for Britain’s the Independent, says the showbiz trade publication.
The Oscar winner for Cold Mountain, who was nominated for 2001’s Bridget Jones’s Diary and also starred in the 2004 sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, recently spelled out what she desires in a man, saying: ?I’m looking for an encyclopedia and a dictionary. A bit of the Boy Scouts Handbook. A person who is conscientious about the trail he leaves behind him. Love. Unconditional kindness.”

Lord, I really hope Colin Firth comes on to this one? and why wouldn?t he? Bridget better be trying to have a baby with Mark Darcy and not Daniel Cleaver. Personally, I love how smarmy Hugh Grant is in these films (and probably, in life) but it always bothers me how Bridget can?t see what a wanker Daniel is. He always sweet-talks her. It sucks, but it?s probably realistic, I suppose.
So, what do you think? Is the Bridget Jones character stale? And even if it is, shouldn?t women have the same opportunity to see a girly franchise like the guys had with Die Hard? Will Renee still looks cute (perhaps better) with the added weight?
