Here are some assorted photos from the past few days of the Tribeca Film Festival. Tribeca isn?t really known (yet) as a fashion mecca, nor as the place to premiere the biggest awards-baity films. Tribeca was started by Robert DeNiro as a way to bring culture/money/attention to the area post-9/11, and in that way? sure, it?s achieved its goal. But I?m just saying, it wouldn?t kill them to make the premieres and events a bit more glitzy.
Let?s start with Emma Watson at the premiere of Boulevard, with her friend Roberto Aguire. Emma isn?t even in the film? I think she just came out to support Aguire. She wore this rather cute, Pink Narciso Rodriguez minidress. I really like this?? It suits her age and it?s a great little dress for when you?re trying to help out a friend.
Katie Holmes also appeared at the premiere of Boulevard ? I have no idea on the jeans and t-shirt, but the jacket it MiuMiu. It?s bejeweled! I kind of like it. I like that she paired a bejeweled coat with jeans and a tee. Katie?s looking particularly skinny too, right?
This photo made my heart go pitter-patter. Mindy Kaling and Chris Messina (squee!) at the premiere of Alex of Venice. It?s Chris?s film and Mindy just came out to support him. Mindy wore a Helmut Lang ensemble and Saint Laurent pumps. I love this entire outfit. Very flattering.
And here?s America Ferrera at the premiere of X/Y. She wore Roland Mouret Spring 2013. I love this too. But I love her in general ? she?s SO pretty.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian last Friday, taking her grandmother Mary Jo Shannon to lunch in LA. Mary Jo is the woman who birthed Lucifer?s Homegirl, so we could say that Mary Jo is the true source of all that is wrong in the Kardashian-Jenner clan. As for Kim?s Pink ensemble? she looks like an Easter egg, right? I don?t mind her in pink, but this jumpsuit looks cheap as hell. It looks like a tacky poly-blend but I?m sure it?s probably expensive.
As for the Kardashian-West wedding ? which might be something like five weeks away ? Us Weekly says that Kim and Kanye haven?t told friends and family where the wedding will be held at this point. People are just going to have to fly into Paris on a certain date and then they?ll be told the venue. There are also stories about Kim undergoing some kind of ?extreme diet? ahead of the wedding:
Kim Kardashian has reportedly gone into ”extreme dieting mode” in time for her wedding. The 33-year-old reality TV star – who is following the high-protein Atkins diet – has banned any liquids apart from water entering her mouth in order to shift 5lbs before her and her fianc Kanye West’s big day next month.
A source told OK! magazine: ”She doesn’t really drink, but she likes a glass of red wine with dinner and coffee in the morning but her Atkins mania won’t allow her those anymore. She won’t even have a sip.”
The brunette beauty – who has already lost 50lbs since giving birth to her daughter North last June – has been eating lean protein and green vegetables to help her achieve her slim physique.
However, she’s terrified she’ll slip off her diet plan, so she makes sure she has healthy snacks on hand at all times.
The source explained: ”Her assistant has a bag of celery sticks with her at all times.”
Meanwhile, Kim, who is set to tie the knot in Paris on May 24, has recently upped her workouts to five times a week and has banned carbohydrates, including bread and pasta, from her house in order to avoid temptation.
An insider said previously: ”She’ll eat veggies, but no noodles, rice or bread. It shocks her body. It’s the only way to get the weight off. She does 100 squats each morning to lift her booty.”

Us Weekly?s print edition had a similar story a few weeks ago, that Kim is doing a flat-out ?no carbs? diet. As I?ve said many times before, I could never do no-carbs. Carbs are what make life worth living. Besides that, Kim is already back down to what I think of as her pre-pregnancy weight. I?d even say she?s slimmer now than when she first got pregnant with IgNori. Why try to take off five more pounds if it?s just going to make you miserable?

Emma Stone covers the new issue of Vogue. The photoshoot is by Craig McDean, which is a nice change-up from the Mario Testino and Annie Leibovitz cover shoots we usually get from Vogue. That being said, I?m not crazy about the shoot. Some of the clothes are okay, but it feels like the styling overall is sort of meandering. Is it supposed to be summery? Eh. Is it supposed to be cute diner-themed? Eh. Is it supposed to be Emma-as-clothes-hanger? Eh. Stone mentions Internet comments that referred to her as a ?Bland Basic Bitch,? which was probably meant as a dig, but she found it hilarious, to the point that at dinner she now begins to refer to herself as ?That Bland Basic Bitch.?
On her boyfriend/costar Andrew Garfield: ?I think I?ve learned a lot by being around him. And, you know, he is an incredibly important person to me.?

I just sat here and read the whole piece and I found it charming. She?s not a party girl, she loves puns and Jonah Hill flat-out loves her. Andrew adores her. When she worked with Bill Murray, he would bring her presents every day, little stuff like muffins and umbrellas. I really like Emma overall, and I think she?s incredibly talented. But I will say this? I watched part of her Graham Norton interview last week, and I was deeply upset by how noticeably thin she is these days. Concern-trolly, I know, but there it is. I know she?s having some family issues, so maybe that?s one of the big issues. I?m hoping that this is just a weird phase for her and she goes back to a healthier weight soon.

Taking in the final moments of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Vanessa Hudgens danced the night away on Saturday (April 19).
The ?Spring Breakers? babe rocked a pair of tiny denim shorts with a crop top that showed off her taut tummy.
Vanessa took to Twitter to wish her fans a special Easter message, writing, ?Happy Easter loves. Such a special day. We are all so blessed to be loved unconditionally by god. Give praise and shine the love and light to each other. We are all family in this world. Let's act like it. Xx?

Denise Richards is often very orange and fake baked looking. Back in 2011 I did a post about it, and last year, around June, she was super orange again. So she probably gets spray tans starting around spring, and this is her freshly baked Easter look. Also, while she may look just really “tan” here, she looks more orange in the photos posted on Radar Online. In fact she looks almost day-glow there.
Radar is concern trolling about Denise being very thin, but she’s been tiny like that for a while. I think she’s one of those people who doesn’t eat when they’re stressed out, damn them. One of my friends is like that, she forgets to eat. That impresses me because I have to try not to eat when I’m stressed.
Denise of course has a lot of reasons to be stressed. Her ex is dragging her to court to try to reduce child support, at the same time he’s throwing six figure parties and taking his p0rn star fiance on private jets and lavish trips. Charlie is also kicking Denise and her three kids out of the home he purchased for her in their gated neighborhood. In order to find affordable housing Denise will either have to move her daughters to another school or face an hour long commute each way.
Also, did you see Kaiser’s excellent story earlier today about which celebrities have arrangements with the paparazzi? Denise Richards was mentioned as someone who regularly tips off photographers. She must have made sure she was extra orange for this special occasion. One of the last times she was papped out she looked all normal and pale.
Here is how Denise looked in February. I get the impression that she saw these photos and decided that the next time she called the paps she would be nice and “tan”.

Uma Thurman has been on-and-off with Arpad ?Arki? Busson for years and years. Busson was also Elle Macpherson?s baby-daddy, and he first got with Uma? lord, I don?t even know. It?s been a while in celebrity circles. I want to say 2007-ish. But Arki and Uma?s relationship always seemed rather tumultuous ? she?s based in NYC, he has business interests all over Europe. She?s a divorced mom, he?s a playboy millionaire. She?s a working actress (sort of) and he?s probably got a lady in every city. But a few years ago, Uma got knocked up and she and Arki announced their engagement again. Their daughter Luna was born the summer of 2012, and after that? still no wedding. He?s just not the marrying kind, I guess. Anyway, Arki and Uma have split up again:
Actress Uma Thurman and her multi-millionaire fiance Arki Busson have split up, I can reveal. The New York-based Kill Bill star and hedge-fund boss Arki have struggled to make their long-distance relationship work and have called off their engagement.
?Uma and Arki were due to attend a gala together on April 8, but Uma showed up without her engagement ring or her fiance,? says a source. ?Arki was scheduled to attend and it seemed clear there was only one reason why he didn?t show ? because he and Uma are no longer an item.?
Another source adds: ?Uma lives in New York while Arki lives in London. He has been out and about without Uma since October when he went to a Halloween party alone. They have been at one or two events together, like Harvey Weinstein?s pre-Bafta party in February, but on that occasion they looked miserable.?
This is the second time Uma, 43, has broken off an engagement with French-born tycoon since they began dating in 2007. In 2009 she returned an eight-carat diamond ring to him a year after he first proposed. She took him back in 2011, and by 2012 they were engaged again, with Uma pregnant with their first child, Rosalind. She has not been seen without her engagement ring since ? until now.
Uma has two children from her earlier marriage to actor Ethan Hawke. Arki, 51, has two sons from a relationship with supermodel Elle Macpherson. Arki?s spokesman was unavailable for comment, while a spokesman for Uma declined to comment.

Considering how many times they?ve split and gotten back together and considering that there?s a baby girl in the mix now too, I?m going out on a limb and saying that they?ll probably get back together at some point. Maybe their engagement will even be back ?on.? But I think maybe Uma needs to realize that Arki is never going to want to get married? It seems that way, doesn?t it? And if that?s the case, so be it. Maybe Uma just wants some stability in her life at this point.

Sad news. And I?m not going to criticize, joke or shade, because for all we know, this could even be the truth. During the finale of Lindsay Lohan?s OWN show last night, she revealed that she had recently had a miscarriage. LL doesn?t say who the father was, or how far along she was. She revealed the miscarriage as an explanation for why she was halting production so much, and why she had behaving? well, in her typical Lohan cracked-out ways.
Lindsay Lohan disclosed Sunday that she had a miscarriage during a break in the filming her reality show on OWN. The revelation came in the last moments of the two-hour finale of Lindsay.
“No one knows this, and we can finish after this, I had a miscarriage for the two weeks that I took off,” the troubled actress said, fighting tears.
After a long pause, she said, “It’s a very long story,” and offered no other details.
Lohan, 27, had the miscarriage, she explained, during the much-discussed two weeks she reportedly held up production of the series.
“I was sick. And mentally that messes with you,” she said.

So, it?s clear that this was a pregnancy that happened after she got out of rehab, and I have some ideas for the candidates for fatherhood. In November through January, Lindsay was rumored to be dating two teenage models at various times. One model, American Morgan O?Connor, was 18 years old. British model Christian Arno Williams was believed to be 18 or 19 as well. To be fair, I think Morgan was more the object of Lindsay?s crack-stalking, but they could have hooked up. I think Christian Arno Williams is a better candidate, and the timing makes sense.
Also: I was looking through LL?s Instagram, and I found a very recent photo of LL with Vikram Chatwal, the hotel heir and drug addict that Lindsay has been dealing with off and on for years. See, to me that makes the most sense ? she would want to get pregnant by some dude who has the family money to pay for the Lohan lifestyle.

I didn’t anticipate writing a Monday morning postmortem of Johnny Depp’s latest movie, Transcendence. I thought the film (despite bad reviews) would easily grab the #1 spot and rustle up $40 million. That didn’t happen, not even with the help of Morgan Freeman. Depp’s movie flopped and opened in fourth place behind Captain America 2, Rio 2, and (a Christian movie that I’d never heard of) Heaven is for Real.
How could this happen? This was the movie that Johnny promoted, um, not at all. Sure, he attended the premieres and did old-school photoshoots with interviews. Maybe Johnny realized this movie was a clunker because he didn’t talk about the film hardly at all. He mostly talked about his mangagement ring and wanting babies with Amber Heard.
Transcendence only pulled in $11 million this weekend (plus another $17 million overseas). Not a problem if this was a cheap indie, but Johnny doesn’t do inexpensive films. This movie was made for $100 million. Johnny got a $20 million payday, and this movie didn’t even clear that much in the US on opening weekend.
Here’s what will happen. People will wonder if Johnny has any clout beyond the Pirates movies. This is his fourth consecutive flop! The Rum Diary, The Lone Ranger, and Dark Shadows all failed to make money. Some of them squeaked past their production budgets, but a movie must pull in 250% of its budget to break even. Johnny gets paid crazy money to do stuff like ride around on a horse (with a dead bird on his head), but it won’t last much longer.
I do still admire Johnny. His older movies showed a vital, unyielding presence, but he’s lost his way. Johnny needs a break. Of course he’ll probably react by threatening to retire again. Just wait.

Tila Tequila is going to be someone’s mother. For real this time. She was last “pregnant” in 2010, with a big announcement followed by a bizarre claim that she dented her skull. Then she predictably fake miscarried the fake baby. I wouldn’t accuse anyone else of having a fake miscarriage, but Tila’s shown herself to be unstable and a pathological liar. She’s the worst type of celebrity — one with no talent whatsoever. Thanks, MySpace.
Tila has moved on from MySpace to Facebook where she posted a bump photo. She says she’s 10 weeks along and has already changed her Twitter handle to @BabyMamaTila. She’s tweeting to her baby now:

Here are some photos of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian (plus Mason and Jake) on Saturday at Ventura Beach. Eddie played volleyball with the boys while LeAnn had some costume changes so that the paparazzi could get lots of different shots of her being the cool Bonus Mom. I?m assuming.
I?m also including some pics that I grabbed from LeAnn?s Twitter. She put on bunny ears and tweeted some pics of the ?Easter baskets? she made for Mason, Jake and even Eddie. I have to admit something dark and dastardly? I think LeAnn?s Easter baskets are rather cute. They?re more like stylish, shabby-chic Easter buckets. The boys got nice candy and cute stuffed animals (which I?m sure they didn?t want, but everybody gets stuffed animals for Easter), crackers, shoes (?), bubble sticks.
Meanwhile, Eddie?s basket was really nice too, although perhaps unintentionally hilarious. LeAnn put wine in his bucket, plus a nice peanut butter bonbon ?egg?. I feel like it?s a two-sided message: she would rather have him piling on the pounds so that no other woman would want him, AND she?s basically saying that he?s her trophy husband, and she just expects him to sit at home, drinking wine and eating egg-shaped bonbons.

Admitting her sex list was real wasn’t enough of a ratings boost. Lindsay Lohan needed another big revealon the finale of her OWN show. In a last ditch effort to claw her way back for a second season, Lindsay says she had a miscarriage while filming her reality show. And no, not a miscarriage of justice.
Asked to reflect on her show, she said, “No one knows this. I had a miscarriage for those two weeks that I took off.” Lindsay went on, “It’s a very long story, but that’s why on the show when it says she doesn’t want to come down, I couldn’t move, I was sick. Mentally, that messes with you.”
Lindsay doesn’t say who the father was. Maybe it was an immaculate conception. Haha, no really though.That list of names she wrote down is pretty much a bingo card for the father.
