| Lea Michele was toxic with beauty industry people when she had a L?Oreal contract | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

You know what I find sort of funny about the Lea Michele situation? After the first wave of call-outs from former coworkers about her bullying, ridiculously inappropriate behavior, Lea issued a complete word-salad apology which no one bought, and added another offense onto the pile. And since then, she hasn?t officially offered anything else. Yet, I believe her publicist (that poor person) is probably trying to massage the story thus ?Lea might have behavioral issues? but to not give it another shot, apology-wise? That says something to me too. I get that Lea?s publicist is probably telling her to keep her mouth shut and hope that everything blows over, but if Lea sincerely wanted to apologize and vow to make a change, she would. She hasn?t.
Meanwhile, did you know that Lea also terrorized people in the beauty industry? Her diva antics were not simply limited to Ryan Murphy?s sets. Quelle surprise.
Beauty business insiders say former ?Glee? diva Lea Michele is known to be toxic in the industry because of her ugly behavior. The actress, 33, has been caught up in a storm of damning headlines with a host of former co-stars calling her a mean girl. Now, those behind the scenes are joining in.
One beauty pro told Page Six that after Michele was signed to be the face of L?Oral in 2012 for an estimated $1 million, one of her duties was a short interview about her beauty routine ? and she stormed out in the middle of it. The source claimed, ?All the questions and answers were agreed [on] in advance, she just had to answer five questions on camera about her hair routine to a crew hired by L?Oral. But two questions in, Lea just stood up, said she was done and walked out, leaving everyone standing there in shock. The head of L?Oral asked if she was coming back, and her mother said, ?No, she?s not.???
In 2013, L?Oral signed Blake Lively for the ?Because You?re Worth It? campaign.
The source added of Michele, ?This is who she is. Given how small the industry is, the word has spread across other beauty brands.?
However other sources close to the production who worked with Lea on L?Oreal shoots said she was lovely to work with. One source who worked on production for L?Oreal, ?I don?t ever remember her being difficult on or off-set.?
[From Page Six]
LOL. I remember Lea getting the L?Oreal contract but I didn?t realize that her contract only lasted for a year before they had enough. L?Oreal is one of the beauty companies which generally lock celebrities into longer, multi-year contracts too. It says something that Lea only lasted a year. And yes, I completely believe that Lea was a douche to people across all industries, of all races, of all job descriptions. It wasn?t just co-stars, it was the below-the-line staff on her shows, it was L?Oreal people and someone might want to check in on Lea?s manager, publicist and agent, not to mention her household staff and anyone in food service who has ever had to deal with her. I?m just sayin?.

| Brad Pitt rode his BMW motorcycle around the Black Lives Matter protest | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

How should we feel about prominent white celebrities and politicians doing the bare minimum and getting recognized for it? This came up in the Mitt Romney story this week I don?t have a problem with Sen. Romney attending the DC protest, nor do I have a problem (philosophically) with Mittens saying ?black lives matter.? But I also think that those acts shouldn?t be hyped nor praised? That?s how I feel about this story too Brad Pitt apparently attended a protest/rally in LA on Sunday. The person who spotted him took a photo of a Brad-like figure riding his motorcycle around the protest and she sold that photo to the Daily Mail exclusively.

| David Beckham in talks for a cooking show with Netflix and BBC | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Singer/Actress Selena Gomez and comedienne/actress Amy Schumer both have cooking show deals. Neither Selena nor Amy know how to cook, so we get to watch them being taught. Riveting. Next up for the ?Really? Them? cooking show hosts will be: Soccer legend David Beckham. According to The Sun (the tabloid, not the one that rises and sets on David), lockdown has reignited a love of baking for Davey B and he received a large number of pots and pans for his birthday. Already David is more qualified to have a cooking show than Selena or Amy so of course, the BBC and Netflix will give him his own show.
FOODIE David Beckham is whipping up a cookery show with his new production company.
Keen baker Becks has developed a format after joining best pal Gordon Ramsay?s Instagram Live cook-alongs.
He is in talks with the BBC and Netflix over the proposed interactive format, to be developed by his company Studio 99.
Former England skipper Becks, 45, is said to be cooking almost daily in lockdown with daughter Harper, eight.
A source said: ?One of the unintended benefits of lockdown for David has been the opportunity to do what he loves most baking.
?He?s been recreating some of his mum?s old recipes, and got a load of pots and pans for his birthday recently.
?David?s also used this time to really focus on Studio 99, and initially chatted to Gordon about the pair doing an Instagram Live.
?He?s seen how well Gordon has done with his own cookery shows and his Studio Ramsay production company, and Gordon?s given him some great advice.?
[From The Sun via Socialite Life]
Who are David and Harper cooking for? Victoria only looks longingly at food and then burns any ?sight calories? off by pushing it around the plate. Not to mention this reasoning, ?Gordon has done with his own cookery shows?? Gordon was mentored by Marco Pierre White, Guy Savoy and Jol Robuchon, that?s slightly more credentials than David dusting off Gran?s Victoria sponge cake recipe.
However, I do kind of like David, so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. I watched this cook-off with Gordon in which Laila Ali selected the winner:
I misjudged David, he does seem to know his way around a kitchen. Considering I prefer a pea puree over seafood in my risotto, I would have likely voted for his. However, David mentioned in the video, ?I prefer a quieter kitchen,? which does not make for a very good cooking segment. The commercials for his show will be terrible: ?Watch footballer David Beckham cook stuff. We won?t know what, because he doesn?t say anything, but the food ? and the cook ? sure are pretty.? Or maybe David just likes ?quiet kitchens? when Gordon is in them.
However, the truly important part of this story is how the underground tunnel factors into it. Will David have to hide his ingredients because Victoria wontlet anything other than wax fruit into the house? Will David trek down to the wine cave to select some incredible vintage to serve with his Toad in the Hole? Will wafts of his Lancashire Hotpot* be piped through the tunnel to taunt his neighbors? Or will the local pub be on call to smuggle in their famous Fish Pie when David?s efforts go tits up? What I?m saying is, I?d rather have a reality show based on The Beckham Tunnel than the Beckham kitchen.
*I have made myself so hungry writing this stupid post.
Boy, he is not kidding about being quiet in the kitchen:

| Jennifer Aniston 'has quietly donated' nearly $1 million to racial justice charities | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m not really a fan of celebrities ?quietly donating? or ?secretly donating? money to charity. I?ve spoken about this many times one of the best ways any celebrity can use their fame and their fandom is to openly raise awareness about various charities and use their platform to encourage others to donate. Most celebrities get this, and that?s why they?ll post information on their social media about where they?re donating or how their fans can donate. Well, Jennifer Aniston has never really been like that we know she works with St. Jude?s and some other charities, but she?s rarely announced her charitable donations. Last week, Jennifer posted something on her Instagram about Black Lives Matter and a Colors of Change petition. As it turns out, Aniston then quietly confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that she also donated:
Jennifer Aniston is backing up her commitment to the fight against racial injustice with a sizable donation. The Morning Show actress who has been very open in her support with the recent protests against police brutality and racial injustice is using her money to help the cause.
A source tells ET that Aniston has quietly donated large sums of money to several charities, including Colors Of Change, to the tune of nearly $1 million. According to the source, the actress spread out her charitable donations to several worthy organizations dedicated to the battle against systemic racism and discrimination.
[From ET]
Good for her. I would have assumed that this would be the kind of hot topic Aniston would generally avoid, but it?s a whole new Aniston lately. She?s on Instagram, she?s talking about Black Lives Mattering and she?s quietly putting money where her mouth is. I would love to know which other organizations or charities got Aniston?s money. But the thought occurred to me that maybe Aniston is doing this lowkey because she wisely doesn?t want to become the face of anything. Just an ally from a distance, donating money and showing support. It?s not the worst move.
In addition to doing that Blackout thing a week ago (where she actually wrote Black Lives Matter), Aniston posted this clip of James Baldwin:

This week has been heartbreaking for so many reasons. We need to acknowledge that the racism and brutality in this country has been going on for a long time and it?s NEVER been okay. As allies, who want equality and peace, it?s our responsibility to make noise, to demand justice, to educate ourselves on these issues, and more than anything, to spread love. How much more time are we willing to let pass without change? HOW MUCH MORE TIME? ? ? Text FLOYD to 55156 and sign the @colorofchange petition to have all four of the officers who killed #GeorgeFloyd arrested.
