During last year?s awards season, we were gifted with Bong Joon-ho?s magnificence in so many ways, in so many speeches. One of the best moments was when he lectured American audiences: Once you overcome the one inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films.? This was a running theme for Bong as he swept the major awards and called English-speaking Western audiences idiots for not being able to watch foreign films with subtitles. Apparently, Oscar winner Thomas Vinterberg does not feel the same way. Danish director Vinterberg won the Best International Film Oscar for Another Round, the Danish-language film about friendship, day-drinking and alcoholism. Soon after Vinterberg picked up his Oscar, he made a deal to executive produce an English-language remake of his film. It will probably star Leonardo DiCaprio, likely in the role played by Mads Mikkelsen in the Danish film.
Fresh off its Oscar win for best international feature film, ?Another Round? is getting the Hollywood treatment. The Danish dramedy about four friends who engage in an epic drinking binge will be remade in English.
Leonardo DiCaprio is being eyed to star in the film in the role originated by Mads Mikkelsen, but there?s no formal deal in place. DiCaprio?s production company Appian Way acquired rights following a bidding war that reportedly involved Jake Gyllenhaal?s production company Nine Stories, as well as Elizabeth Banks.
Thomas Vinterberg, who landed a surprise Oscar nomination for directing the Danish film, will executive produce the remake, along with Sisse Graum Jrgensen and Kasper Dissing. Vinterberg also co-wrote ?Another Round? with Tobias Lindholm. However, he won?t be directing or writing the upcoming version. Endeavor Content and Makeready are financing the English-language movie.
?Another Round? centers on four friends who consume booze on a daily basis to test a theory that maintaining a certain blood alcohol content level inspires creativity and affects their daily lives. Along with Mikkelsen, the cast included Danish actors Thomas Bo Larsen, Magnus Millang and Lars Ranthe.

While I?m sure not many people were watching this year?s Oscars, those of us who were paying attention were far more likely to watch the original Danish movie following Vinterberg?s Oscar win. But whatever, Bong Joon-ho will be so disappointed. Leo and his boys are going to turn this into an artsy version of The Hangover OR some kind of bros-only, no-speaking-roles-for-women super-dark drama. Are they going to call the English-language version Another Round? Or will they just call it P-ssy Posse: Rise of the Wolfpack?

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez broke up officially two weeks ago. They broke up because Jennifer was finally over it, and more specifically, over him. We tried to tell her that A-Rod is a douche and a cheater but she had to see for herself. I?m happy that she?s rid of him and it amuses me that she?s probably keeping the ring too. But Jen and A-Rod were seen out at dinner together a few days ago, so people were wondering what was up. As it turns out, he?s trying to worm his way back into her heart, or possibly her pants.
Why they reunited for dinner on April 25 at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles: They went there to talk business and how to move forward in a friendly way, a source close to Lopez tells PEOPLE. Jennifer and Alex are figuring out how to be exes and still remain friends, says the source.
Their main priority is their kids: They want to make sure sure their kids ? Lopezs 13-year-old twins Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Rodriguezs daughters Ella, 13, and Natasha, 16, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis ? are okay. They want to be as considerate of them as possible. Jennifer has been such a big part of Alexs daughters lives, and she will continue to be a big part, the source says of Lopez, who posted a sweet birthday tribute to Ella as an Instagram Story on April 21. She loves his girls. Their split is trickier because of the kids.
She?s going to keep living in Miami too: Jennifers kids attend school in Miami, so this will still be their home base, says the source.
Post-breakup, J.Lo is fine: Lopez has been fine, says the source. She is very strong and will continue to follow her heart. Now that filming has wrapped on her comedy Shotgun Wedding, Lopez is looking forward to a break. She is pretty tired from the intense filming schedule, the source says of the star, who filmed in the Dominican Republic over the past few months. So she is hoping to take a few days off soon to recharge.
A-Rod is not fine: On the other hand Rodriguez ? who currently appears as a Sunday Night Baseball analyst on ESPN ? is having more difficulty moving forward. Alex seems to have a harder time letting go, adds the source. He still wants to get back together with Jennifer. But to her, their relationship is over.

As CB discussed, Aaron Sorkin and Paulina Porizkova made their couple debut at the Oscars on Sunday. No one knows how long they?ve been together, but Page Six says it?s been at least a few months of quiet dating. They?re an age-appropriate couple he?s 59, she?s 56. They both have one marriage each under their belts Aaron and his Julia have been divorced for more than 15 years, and Paulina is technically a widow, having still been married to Ric Ocasek at the time of his death in September 2019. The way Ocasek tried to screw her out of any part of his estate gave me a tremendous amount of sympathy for her, and I hope she and Aaron are enjoying their time together. She seems? kind of extra about the relationship. Especially if they?ve only been happening for a few months! She posted this on her IG:

There?s been a lot of back-and-forth in the gossip and tabloid media about Britney Spears this year, especially following Framing Britney Spears, which was largely about how people have been terrible to Britney throughout her life. Its hard to tell whether Britney actually wants her conservatorship removed. Perhaps she believes she still needs some kind of structure, especially financially, or perhaps she knows that removing the conservatorship entirely could be a fool?s errand. What she does want right now, this year, is to have her father Jamie Spears removed from the conservatorship entirely, to remove his influence from her life completely. So, here?s the update: Britney will speak to the judge in an upcoming hearing.
After years of silence, Britney Spears will speak to the probate court in June regarding her long-standing legal conservatorship. At a hearing on Tuesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny scheduled a hearing on June 23 to allow Spears to speak on the ?status of the conservatorship.?
Samuel Ingham, the probate attorney appointed to represent Spears in the case, asked the court to set the date ?on an expedited basis,? but did not indicate what Spears would say. Spears has been under the court-approved conservatorship for the last 13 years. She has made it clear that she no long wants her father, Jamie Spears, to act as her conservator.
Last fall, at Ingham?s request, the judge appointed Bessemer Trust to act as co-conservator along with her father. That order has yet to take effect, as the attorneys continue to quibble over the governing language. At the hearing in probate court on Tuesday, the attorneys gave the court updates on various motions and accounting issues

As we discussed, I found Kensington Palace?s video of Prince William signing letters for ANZAC Day to be somewhat creepy. To be clear, the simple fact that William marked the day was not creepy in and of itself. What was creepy was the weird POV perspective video. It?s all part of a larger social media strategy from the Cambridges. Theyre trying to be more engaged and to produce exclusive content for social media. They only started doing that when Meghan came around and they began to copy her. They even bought bot followers to compete with the popularity of the SussexRoyal Instagram, and they hired the Sussexes? old social media guy, David Watkins. So? guess who?s getting credit for revolutionizing the monarchy with her social media game?
Kate Middleton has upstaged sister-in-law Meghan Markle in a royal power play set to change the crown forever, claims an expert. Commentator Daniela Elser said the Duchess of Cambridge has been nailing the social media game while the world is distracted by the Harry and Meghan Show. She pointed to a video shared on Prince William and Kates Kensington Palace social media accounts over the weekend marking Anzac Day as a key example. The footage included the Duke writing letters to the Australian and New Zealand high commissioners on the national day of remembrance for both nations.
Ms Elser said the clip, which also featured an unseen flunkie zipped across London to deliver the missives along with homemade Anzac biscuits, showcased how quietly radical the Duchess can be. Writing for news.com.au, she said: It was indisputable proof of something that has become increasingly apparent of late: Kate is simply nailing the social media game right now. See, while royal news over the last year has nearly been wholly consumed by the ongoing Sussex melodrama, all TV tears, pouting, posturing and eye-popping business deals, something very interesting has been going on back in the UK. That is, while the eyes of the world were, by and large, glued to the Harry and Meghan Show, Kate has been revolutionising the royal social media game.
Ms Elser also highlighted a post shared by Kensington Royal at Easter as another case in point. Rather than the obvious imagery associated with the time of year, the Cambridges instead went with a cheeky video of a chocolate egg being smashed in reverse, she said.
The commentator added that Kates skills as an amateur photographer have also helped in the couples social media transformation. And are key going forward as they oversee a significant intellectual shift in the Firms image as they prepare to take charge in the years to come. Ms Elser added it is openness and realness and at times tongue-in-cheek humour that are the perfect way to ensure the monarchy continues to engage with the people.

The fact that the source for this mess is Australian somewhat surprised me. But sure, it?s easy to revolutionize the monarchy with social media when you?re A) copying from your sister-in-law and B) when you?re so thin-skinned and unhinged that you and your incandescent husband force the Sussexes to abandon their Instagram. What?s kind of crazy is that Kate and William really do have this enormous platform and they could use their social media very easily to highlight great causes and raise money for charity. Instead, we get bizarre egg-smashing videos and keen pie charts for Kate?s busy work.

File this one under Things That Make You Go Huh? Rumor has it that singer Rita Ora and Director/Writer/Actor Taika Waititi are an item. How did this happen? It seems to be location based. Taika is currently in Australia filming his next project, Thor: Love and Thunder. He?s been photographed all over Oz with Russell Crowe, Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon at sports arenas, various beaches and bike paths. However, Taika recently popped up in the shot above on Rita?s Instagram in a photoset that she captioned, ?Good times, memories, random things on my phone and the ones I love..??,? which got everyone scratching their heads. Rita happens to be in Sydney currently to film The Voice. Now we?re hearing that not only have they been dating since March, she may have scored herself a cameo in the Thor film.
Rita Ora sent fans into a frenzy last week when she shared an incredibly cosy snap with Thor director Taika Waititi.
And now it has been reported that the two stars have been dating for over a month while the singer has been in Sydney filming The Voice.
According to The Sun, Rita, 30, and Taika, 45, have made no secret they are together among their famous friends and things could be getting serious.
?They?ve been a couple since early March but kept things low key. However, all their friends know about the relationship. They?re really into each other, a source told the publication.
The rumoured couple were spotted exiting a private jet with Chris Hemsworth, his wife Elsa and Matt Damon in Sydney recently, following a trip to the Gold Coast.
The Hollywood movie hunks are staying Down Under to shoot scenes for Taikas Thor Love and Thunder film in addition to Russell Crowe, who was seen on a bike ride with Rita last week.
A listener of the Who? Weekly podcast fuelled further romance speculation as they reported seeing the couple kissing inside a restaurant.
Curious fans took to social media to question whether Rita, who split from French director Romain Gavras earlier this year, will have a cameo in his film.
A twitter user said: When taika waititi sneaks Rita Ora into the first thor movie thus making rita the first pop girlie in the mcu yup!

I don?t love this. Rita seems messy. She?s constantly stepping in trouble in her career. She was awful about breaking quarantine for her birthday and lying to cover it up. And she has a history of being messy in her dating life. Taika is a little harder to figure out. When news of his divorce hit, it appeared that his much younger assistant was the reason. But then it came out that he and his wife, Chelsea Winstanley, had been separated for two years by the time he was first seen with his assistant. Still, he?d met the assistant before the split and no one has ever confirmed when the relationship started. Either way, it seems he?s sticking to 30-year-olds for the time being. And he seems to be looking for a good time, which I guess Rita is, because she?s hanging out with the whole cast of Thor, it seems. The article quoted someone saying that Idris Elba showed up on Rita?s IG. I went through all her posts in the last month and found no Idris. I?m not saying she doesn?t show up in Thor, I?m sure she does, I?m just bummed I didn?t get a shot of Idris.
As I said, this isn?t my favorite pairing, but I don?t expect it to last past either?s filming schedule. I?m sure Rita would love to ride Taika?s coattails right into a cinematic career, but I won?t bank on it. As for her finagling a scene in Thor, Taika?s a pretty smart filmmaker. If he finds a way to cleverly insert her into the film, he will. She won?t hurt anything.
I?ll admit, I am a lot more invested in Idris possibly being in the area to film Thor than whether these two are going anywhere.
