I really don?t mess with Woody Allen?s films at this point, but I did see Midnight In Paris one time, and I sort of enjoyed the premise of modern people being so nostalgic for a different era, they sort of willed themselves into their preferred era at midnight in Paris. Owen Wilson?s character longed to see the Lost Generation?s exploits in 1920s Paris Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, Picasso, etc. I get that kind of nostalgia. What I don?t get is Taylor Swift seemingly longing for antebellum America??? And not even a particularly noteworthy or fascinating time in antebellum America either like, you could make a historical argument for wanting to see the Lincoln-Douglas debates or wanting to meet Harriet Tubman. But 1830s America? You want to go back in time to see Andrew Jackson?s presidency??? So that?s where we are. Taylor?s lyrics in her song ?I Hate It Here? have caused some controversy.
Taylor Swift released 31 new songs on Friday, but she?s facing some criticism for one line in particular. In ?I Hate It Here,? track 23 on The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, Swift says she wants to live in the 1830s. The full lyric reads: ?My friends used to play a game where / We would pick a decade / We wished we could live in instead of this / I?d say the 1830s but without all the racists / And getting married off for the highest bid.?
The Tortured Poets Department double album runs more than two hours long and contains 10,663 words, according to a noble soul at The Ringer who spent 45 minutes counting them up, but this one line is standing out among social media critics.
Observers noted that it?s hard to separate the decade from ?all the racists? or other atrocities of the time. Other listeners were quick to point out that the 1830s were best known, historically, for the Indian Removal Act and Trail of Tears, in which around 60,000 Native Americans were forcibly displaced from their homes, with many dying in the process. In Europe, it was also the time of a cholera pandemic that claimed tens of thousands more lives.
The 1830s were also three decades before the Civil War, and slavery was still legal in the United States. Some critics say that the lyric minimizes the struggles of the time, even with the ?without all the racists? caveat.
One X user wrote, ?I mention Taylor Swift once for a joke and now I?m getting news about her, and I gotta say: pretty astonishing to stipulate that she wants to live in the 1830s, ?except without the racists,? and not mention slavery, so slavery still exists but everyone?s chill about it.?
Others used the controversy as an opportunity to make fun of Swift, posting memes or making quips about her private jet. ?My interpretation of Taylor Swift wanting to live in the 1830s has to do with the lack of environmental regulations and how economical it?d be to run a private jet,? said another user.
Added a third, ?Taylor Swift name one thing that happened in the 1830s that wasn?t racism. Quickly.?

The private plane joke is excellent, lmao. Yeah it?s bad. It?s an atrocious lyric. I get that she?s trying to analyze her own nostalgia and describe what it?s like living in her own romanticized interior spaces. But can she get some producers or friends she trusts to tell her ?girl, you better change these fking lyrics.? Does Taylor literally surround herself with yes-men to the point where everyone okayed this?

This year, I?ve been seeing a lot of photos of Owen Wilson on various film sets. It?s unusual because I?ve never really considered him to be the kind of actor who likes to work on back-to-back films, and he seems to like to do a variety of studio and indie films, but he?s worked on several studio projects as of late. It truly just occurred to me just now, today: he?s making money because he?s got to support all of the kids he keeps having with current or ex-girlfriends. Owen has two sons with former girlfriends, and last year, another one of his exes welcomed a baby daughter named Lyla. Owen made his ex, Varunie, take a paternity test while she was pregnant, and Lyla is his. But he doesn?t want to know the child or be in Lyla?s life whatsoever. The child is about 14 months old now, and Owen has never met her. But at least he?s paying child support:
Owen Wilson reportedly pays $25,000 (19,000) a month in child support for the baby girl he has never met. The Cars voice actor welcomed a daughter, Lyla Aranya Wilson, in 2018 with on-and-off lover Varunie Vongsvirates and new court documents seen by Radar Online revealed that he pays $25,000 a month for the little girls upkeep.
The 51-year-old actor demanded a DNA test when Vongsvirates claimed he was the father of her child, and the test came back positive. Documents reveal he made a one-off payment of $70,000 to the mother to cover a night nurse, labour coach and Vongsvirates legal fees, and regularly pays the monthly amount of the mother. On the documents he reportedly checked the none box under visitation rights but agreed to add Lyla, now one, to his Screen Actors Guild medical insurance. The pair dated for five years before they split for good in 2018.

I mean? at least he?s paying, I guess. Don?t give him a cookie for truly doing the bare minimum though. What bugs is that Owen is actually in his sons? lives, probably not consistently, but he sees his sons and he spends time with them here and there. But his daughter will grow up without knowing him. As for men who have children with multiple baby mamas? we should call it something, like Jude Law Syndrome?? I feel like Owen is just taking a lot of jobs now to pay all of these child support payments.

In 2018, we learned that Owen Wilson had impregnated another woman. Owen already has two sons with two women, and he had apparently dated a woman named Varunie Vongsvirates for several years, and she became pregnant. He asked for a paternity test, and he got it the little girl, Lyla, is his third child. When Lyla was born, Owen did not show up. He did not even contact Varunie. He signed the ?no contact? form or whatever, saying that he did not want to be involved in Lyla?s life whatsoever. I imagine he?s writing checks to Varunie, but he apparently has still never met his daughter. Varunie spoke about it to the Daily Mail:
Owen Wilsons ex-girlfriend Varunie Vongsvirates has begged the 50-year-old actor to get involved in their one-year-old daughter Lylas life. The 35-year-old told DailyMail.com that her former lover is not involved at all with their little girl and has never even met his youngest child.
Owen has never met Lyla. Never, Vongsvirates explained while on a rare night out in Los Angeles. He helps financially but it?s never been about that. Questioned about this, she added: Lyla needs a father. It?s ironic how [Owen] keeps getting these father roles, hes playing a father in his new movie, and hes never met his own daughter.
Wilson has played father Nate Pullman in 2017 movie Wonder, and has three new films due out next year. Varunie and Owen casually dated for five years before splitting up. He underwent a paternity test last year which confirmed he was the father. Asked if she had a message for her ex, Varunie said: You should see your daughter, shes incredible, youre really missing out. She looks just like you.
Varunie gave birth to their little girl on October 9, 2018 without Owen by her side. He reportedly checked the no visitation box in court in June and doesnt want any custody of her, a source told Us Weekly.

As I said in previous coverage, I believe that reproductive choices go both ways Owen clearly didn?t want this baby and Varunie did, so she had Lyla. He gives the child financial support, meeting his legal responsibility. But he chooses not to have anything to do with the kid and that?s his right. But we can still call him an ahole about it. It?s especially douchey because he IS involved in his sons? lives and has been involved in their lives since they were born. So why not with Lyla? Ugh.

Back in October of last year, CB covered a Radar/National Enquirer story about Owen Wilson which she thought was on the mark. The Enquirer claimed that Owen had gotten another woman pregnant. This woman, Caroline Lindqvist, was his personal trainer for a short time, and she was married (although somewhat separated from her plastic surgeon husband) at the time. Well, as it turns out, the story was dead-right. Owen?s rep confirmed to People Magazine on Friday that Owen and Caroline had welcomed a son together. The header photo (above) shows Owen visiting his newborn son in LA on Friday. This is Owen?s second child and second son ? he has a two-year-old son, Robert Ford Wilson, with his ex Jude Duell.
Owen Wilson is a dad ? again! The actor, 45, welcomed a son with Caroline Lindqvist on Thursday, Jan. 30, his rep tells PEOPLE.
?I can confirm they had a baby boy on Thursday morning,? the rep says in a statement.
Although the baby boy is his first child with Lindqvist, his one-time personal trainer, Wilson is also dad to 3-year-old Robert Ford, his son with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell.
?They are not living together, but Owen is involved [in the pregnancy]. He comes to doctor?s appointments and makes sure Caroline is doing well,? a source told PEOPLE after Wilson?s rep confirmed they were expecting a baby together.

?They are not living together?? which was sort of the situation with Jade Duell for a time, although I think for the length of her pregnancy, he did set her up in, like, his guest house in Hawaii. Anyway, congrats to Owen and Caroline. I guess we know now that the Butterscotch Stallion doesn?t go for condoms. Which I guess is gross? but okay as long as he?s fine with financially supporting those babies. Shades of Hugh Grant, I suppose. And a dash of Simon Cowell, I think. There’s something unseemly (to me) about these modern-day harems.

Hoping to become the next big thing in animated films, Relativity released a trailer from Reel FX Animation Studios' "Free Birds" on Wednesday (June 19).
In the movie, two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history - and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.
Directed by Jimmy Hayward, the family flick features the voices of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Amy Poehler and George Takei.
Check out the trailer below, in which Reggie goes from being the lucky one pardoned by the President to being thrust into a battle to save his fellow feathered fowls. "Free Birds" hits theaters on November 1st.

How adorable are these photos? Owen Wilson was seen and photographed on the Atlanta, Georgia set of his new film, The Internship, and he was bouncing around his son, Robert Ford (Robert Ford Wilson?). Owen and his girlfriend (at the time) Jude Duell welcomed Robert Ford into the world in January 2011. Shortly after that, there were multiple reports of paternity drama, of Owen and Jade having problems in their relationship, of Owen being out and about, partying with ladies. And following those reports, there was the claim that Owen and Jade were over. Never confirmed, never denied.
But it?s nice to see Owen with his look-alike son. I guess Robert Ford is? let?s do the math? 20 months old? More than a year and a half, let?s say that. He?s a little cutie, and he and his dad seem to have a (surprisingly) strong bond. Appearances can be deceiving, of course, but Owen seems incredibly comfortable with his kid and the kid seems very comfortable with him too. Which is always nice to see.
As for the film Owen is working on, The Internship. He?s working with Vince Vaughn again. Because all of those ?funny guys? just make the same films with each other, over and over and over again. This one is about two 40-something dudes who scheme and scam their way into internships at Google. Vince described the film this way: ?We get free food, we get to play ping pong and take naps. We find a way to get into the intern program and try to get a job there. It’s fun to go back and do some R-rated comedies again.?

We don’t cover Owen Wilson a lot. He tends to keep his personal life on the lock down, although there were stories last year that he was drinking heavily and partying both before and after his alleged breakup with the mother of his nearly one year-old son, Robert Ford Wilson. I write “alleged breakup” as that story of their split originated in The Enquirer and was carried by the tabloids. As Kaiser reminded me today, Owen’s people didn’t bother to confirm or deny it from what I can find. In August, Owen was spotted out with Jade and little Ford in California, so if they did break up in June it seems to be cordial and he’s still in contact with his son. (If Ford is his son, as there were paternity questions, also in the tabloids.)
So here’s another tabloidy report, from Page Six, about Owen partying it up with big-busted waitresses and chicks in St. Barts over the holidays.
Owen Wilson was spotted flirting with waitresses at a boozy meal at Bagatelle on St. Barts Sunday, and dancing with a bevy of ?busty women.? The star, who split from Jade Duell six months ago, seemed ready to move on and party down. ?He hopped into the DJ booth,? a spy said. ?He was dancing with a bunch of girls. He?s back to his partying ways.? The ?Midnight in Paris? star was spotted last week chatting up attractive women at the island?s Le Yacht Club.

Everyone gets all maybe fake-concerned about Owen when they hear about him partying, as he had that suicide attempt over four years ago. (That was in August, 2007, I had to look it up.) I think he just loves to hook up, is a commitment-phobe, and likes to party. Sure he’s 43 and people would like to see him settle down, but that doesn’t seem to be what he wants out of life. He’s not trying to project any kind of image though and I like that about him. When he first had Ford he talked about the baby and about how he had little sleep at the time, but he’s not trying to make himself out to be a family man. He’s also not picking some chick and having her play the girlfriend on the red carpet role until he gets sick of her.
Also, I wanted to mention that I just saw Hall Pass on HBO on Demand and that it was truly funny. I had much lower expectations for it, and was pleasantly surprised. The end was schmaltzy and predictable, but there were so many laugh out loud moments and great lines in that film that it was well worth seeing. That’s probably why I have a lot of good will for Owen today. Plus he’s Lightning McQueen!

Owen Wilson usually manages to stay under the gossip radar, but we’ve still heard that he’s been out partying a lot despite the fact that he has a newborn at home. Owen’s now ex girlfriend, former air marshall Jade Duell, 28, gave birth to their son Robert Ford Wilson in early January. Owen said in an appearance on the Today Show in February that he would call him “Ford” and joked that he wasn’t getting much sleep due to the baby. Well he doesn’t have that issue anymore if this story is accurate. Jade and little Ford reportedly moved out and are now staying to New York. Owen was invited to the baby’s christening in New York on June 12, but he bailed at the last minute and missed his scheduled flight. That’s kind of sad.
Owen Wilson is on the verge of a breakdown after dumping his baby mama.
The “Wedding Crashers” star refused to commit to girlfriend Jade Duell and plunged into a downward spiral after she moved to New York with their infant son, sources say.
“Poor Owen is a mess,” a family friend told The Enquirer. “He cries all day and blames himself for ruining his life again. He loves his son Robert more than anything, and he’s kicking himself for not giving his relationship with Jade enough time…
“The baby was the best thing that ever happened to Owen,” noted the source…
“Owen wanted the freedom to do what he wanted with his friends, both male and female, while remaining a family unit with Jade and the baby,” said the source.
“But Jade wasn’t willing to go along with that, so Owen decided to end things with her instead of cheating behind her back.”
Jade and the baby moved out of Owen’s home and flew to New York to be with her family, added the source.
Despite the split, she invited Owen to their son’s christening in New York on June 12, said the source. But he apparently backed out at the last minute…
“He left the airport and drove around Santa Monica for hours. Now he’s holed up in his beach house and walking around like a zombie.”

I hope the Enquirer’s take on this is totally wrong. I don’t want to think Owen is a mess or that he’s a suicide risk again. I’d rather hear that he’s partying and wants to be single without any complications, because it sounds like that’s what got him here in the first place. He can’t have it both ways. He seems perfectly happy to ditch his girlfriend and kid, but then he’ll also have to live with the fact that he won’t get to see the boy grow up. He’s rich and has a flexible schedule though. If he wants to be around little Ford he can probably make that choice too. He doesn’t have to be in a relationship if he doesn’t want to.

While they welcomed their first child just five months ago, reports tell that Owen Wilson and his girlfriend Jade Duell have called it quits.
The "Wedding Crashers" star and his former air marshal girlfriend are said to have pulled the plug as a result of Owen's unwillingness to make the ligelong commitment by getting married.
A source told press, "Owen wanted the freedom to do what he wanted with his friends, both male and female, while remaining a family unit with Jade and the baby."
The tabloid insider added, "But Jade wasn't willing to go along with that, so Owen decided to end things with her instead of cheating behind her back."
Upon parting, Miss Duell is said to have moved to New York with son Robert while Wilson stayed put in Santa Monica, California.

Heading for some relaxation with his loved ones, Owen Wilson was spotted arriving in Maui via a private jet with girlfriend Jade Duell and baby Robert over the weekend (April 16).
Keeping it casual during their travels from Los Angeles to the Aloha State, mom and dad donned simple white t-shirts and blue jeans while 3-month-old Robert sported a pair of cool shades to protect his eyes from the sunny skies.
The doting dad could be seen carrying his most precious cargo from the plane along with the book "Game Change," which is about the historic 2008 presidential elections.
This is just the second time baby Wilson has made a public appearance, as his debut came at just one month old when the couple brought their son along on a Valentine's Day dinner date with pal Woody Harrelson.
