Here is Natelie Portman posing for photos at New York’s Crosby Street Hotel in a light gown with thin straps and fitted bodice. She kept her accessories simple and paired the a-line dress with strappy metallic heels, both by Dior.
The actress, who sat in the director’s chair for the movie based on Amos Oz’s autobiographical book, A Tale of Love and Darkness, wore two white dresses, one for the premiere and one for the after party.

| Will Smith on marriage counseling: 'Once you do it, the truth comes out' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

There have have been rumors for years that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were having problems in their marriage of now 19 years. We heard back in late 2011/early 2012 that they were on the verge of a split and then stories came up again last summer that they were just about to divorce, which they denied. Both Will and Jada have admitted that their marriage is work and that they’ve gone through rough patches, but they also express a lot of admiration for each other and say they’re in it for the long haul. I don’t think either has said that they’re in couples therapy though until now. Will did an interview with The Sun where he admitted that he went through therapy with Jada and said that it was difficult but that they’re on the other side now.
Will has told how the couple sought therapy after their marriage reached breaking point. He said: ?I?ve done a lot of marriage counselling.
?What happens in a marriage once you do counselling, the truth comes out.
?And you sit across from your wife and you?ve said all of your truth and she has said all of her truth. You look at each other and you can?t imagine you could ever possibly love each other again now the truth is out.
?It creates a dark moment. But for me it?s the dark before the dawn. When the truth comes out and people have to say who they are and what they think, you get to know who they are.
?I think that?s the cleansing before you get to the other side that is understanding and moving forward in our relationship.?
[From The Sun]
This clears up a couple of things for me. One is that whatever dalliance Will and Jada had with Scientology is over now because Scientology is dead set against psychotherapy you don’t pay them for. Will not only going to therapy but admitting to it is an indication of that. (As background if you’re not familiar, Will and Jada had a now-closed private school based on Scientology teaching principles and run by primarily Scientology teachers. They donated money to Scientology organizations and while they denied being Scientologists they’ve expressed many personal philosophies consistent with the cult’s teachings, including seeing their children as adults in little bodies. They’ve since stepped back from that somewhat. Plus After Earth was said to be based on Scientology lore.) The other is that they did have problems like a lot of couples, the tabloids were right, and they put in the work to stay together. There’s something admirable about the fact that they’re admitting to that. While I don’t always agree with the things they say, they’re open and don’t b.s. the press and I appreciate that.

| Taylor Swift donates $1 million to victims of flood-ravaged Louisiana | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Taylor Swift?s image has taken a beating in The Summer of Receipts. While I believe that she is still generally well-liked and supported, there?s no question (in my mind) that there are people around Taylor who are suggesting some kind of shake up in management, PR or more. There?s one part of Taylor Inc. that doesn?t need to be changed though: one of Taylor?s best qualities is her charitable heart ? since her earliest days in country, she?s been one of the most charitable stars out there. Even in the midst of the Glorious Tiddlebanging back in July, Taylor took time out to visit sick kids in an Australian hospital. And now this: Taylor has been watching the ongoing tragedy in Louisiana, and she?s decided to donate $1 million to the thousands of flooding victims who have lost everything.
Taylor Swift is donating $1 million to help those in need in Louisiana after floods caused widespread disaster in the state, killing at least 11 people. In a statement to the Associated Press on Tuesday, Swift commented that the people of Louisiana had given her a warm welcome when she began her “1989 World Tour” in the state last year.
“We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home. The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking,” Swift, 26, said in the statement.
“I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time,” the singer added.
As well as those who lost their lives, thousands of people have been affected by the flooding that ravaged Louisiana over the weekend, prompting the governor to declare a state of emergency. More than 20,000 people have been rescued across south Louisiana since the flooding started, USA Today reports.
[From People]
The footage and reporting from flood-ravaged Louisiana has reminded me so strongly of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. One minute, people thought they had escaped the worst of the rain, and in the next minute, flood waters tore through their neighborhoods. I believe Taylor?s motives are true, that she?s motivated by nothing other than compassion. But? of course this helps her image a little bit. Especially since she?s the first major celebrity (that I?m aware of) to donate such an amount, and that she announced it to the AP. By the way, I don?t blame any celebrity for announcing their donations ? those kind of announcements raise awareness of the need for private citizens and businesses to donate money too.

| Renee Zellweger thinks that only tabloid-readers believe she's had work done | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Over the past month or so, I?ve started to wonder and worry about Renee Zellweger. I genuinely feel sympathy for her, because I think she?s done a good job of maintaining her privacy and being a low-key person, and she doesn?t deserve to be the butt of so many jokes and the subject of so many invasive conversations. But on the other hand, I wonder if Renee might actually have some no-joke issues? She just seems particularly fragile during the promotion for Bridget Jones?s Baby, and the way she brazenly lied in her HuffPo essay has been eating away at me for a week now. Like, she thinks she ended the conversation about her face work when she wrote: ?I did not make a decision to alter my face and have surgery on my eyes.? And in this DuJour interview, it seems like she?s lying about several other things. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights:
Where she?s most at home: ?I guess I kind of feel at home wherever I go, most places. But I really know I?m home when I go to Texas. My boyfriend is also from Texas and his family is still there, so we go back quite a bit now, which is nice.?
She claims a famous Vogue incident never took place: ?Someone had me talking to penguins in my own special language at the zoo. But we sat on a bench, we never went to the zoo!? She?s referring to a Vogue cover story from 1998. I gesture shock. I?d read that story; the part where they ?went to the zoo? was a substantial part of the narrative. ?My reaction exactly!? she exclaims. ?I don?t know. I guess I have bigger things to worry about. But that?s one of the things I?ve had to learn to make peace with. The truth is?It?s wobbly.?
Internet gossip: ?I get excited about the internet because it seems like it should make our culture less nave about the effects of misinformation. But I still get phone calls from people I?m close to like, ?Oh my gosh, congratulations!? The big question is why there is such an appetite for [vicious tabloid coverage]. Snark has somehow replaced intelligent wit, and it?s pervasive? it?s in the political spectrum, it?s everywhere. There?s no shame anymore. It?s an interesting time, and I wonder where the cycle goes from here. I guess I just think a lot about this new idea we?re presenting, about what you need to do in order to be considered a person of substance in our society. I know I feel overwhelmed by whatever that standard is. Could that be what fuels this need to read negative things about people you don?t know? Or to take out aggression by humiliating people who are in some way recognized for something that they?ve done??
Upon being told the Variety critic complained about her new face: ?But that?s really too bad. He wrote this because he read a tabloid story and it played into his imagination when he watched the trailer? I can?t comment on it because I don?t know specifically what he was talking about, but he?s misinformed. He should have called me? But I disagree with him, if what he?s talking about is that there can?t be a character who represents every woman at different stages in her life?a character who is flawed, and who represents the truths about our humanity. I don?t know why he thinks there?s no value in that. I see it differently. And I won?t apologize to him for disappointing him that I?ve grown older because that?s the goal.?
[From DuJour]
The last half of the DuJour article is an interesting read because you can tell that the writer feels bad about having to bring up the plastic surgery story and the assorted sub-stories involved (the Variety critic, Rose McGowen?s defense of Renee and more), but Renee feigns ignorance throughout, like she?s a freshly hatched chick who has never seen one negative story about herself, except that she was just making all of those pointed references to internet negativity just minutes beforehand. Renee is exhausting. Also: the Vogue story, where Renee claims that she and Vogue journalist Bob Ickes never went to the zoo? Ickes told Page Six, ?We certainly went to the zoo. The article never says she was speaking in her own special language to the penguins. That would be insane.?

| Ashley Olsen, 30, is still acting coupled-up with 59-year-old George Condo | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Back in June, we heard a really weird rumor about Ashley Olsen. Ashley, the unmarried Olsen twin, was seen canoodling with the artist George Condo. Ashley had just turned 30 years old, and Condo is 59 years old. Ashley?s twin Mary-Kate also went for an older man: MK dated and then married Olivier Sarkozy, who is 17 years older than her. So, we?ve established that the Olsen Twins have a thing for older men. But George Condo? Really? Page Six says yes, really. Condo and Olsen are still happening.
Ashley Olsen was looking very close with artist George Condo this weekend. Spies saw the Row designer, 30, and popular painter, 59, ?holding hands and snuggling? Sunday at Balthazar. ?It was obvious something was going on,? said a source. ?It looked like she was dining with her grandpa, but they were holding hands and snuggling.?
When a Page Six spy saw the pair at the Mercer Hotel in June, Condo?s rep said, ?It was simply a business meeting.?
Condo?s wife, Anna, filed for divorce last year.
[From Page Six]
I get that it?s exciting to date a famous artist, and it?s probably exciting to view yourself as some kind of ?muse? to said artist. But I just don?t get it with George Condo and his p0rn-art, and I don?t get why Ashley is interested in a guy who is almost twice her age. And a guy who is just getting out of a marriage!! This has sleazy-rebound written all over it. And Ashley is better than that.

| Bella Thorne & Gregg Sulkin split 'after much thought & soul-searching' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, my friends, but the courtship between former Disney kids, Bella Thorne and Gregg Sulkin has run its course. After more than a year of loved up Instagram posts and over the top make-out videos, the couple has called it quits. Grab the ice-cream and the tissues as another one bites the dust.
Summer lovin’ is over for Bella Thorne and Gregg Sulkin.
After a PDA-filled year together, the couple are going their separate ways, reps for the stars confirm exclusively to PEOPLE.
“After much thought and soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship. We will always love each other and have a deep respect for one another, as we have each grown to be better people because of our time together. Our schedules made seeing each other difficult, and we decided that for now this would be best,” the couple tells PEOPLE in a joint statement.
Last summer, Sulkin, 24, and Thorne, 18, attended the Teen Choice Awards together and shared a sweet kiss on the red carpet.
“They have known each other for years and spend a lot of time together,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE when the pair first started dating. “They treat each other with a great deal of respect and are really enjoying each other’s company.”
[From People]
I love their statement. ?After much thought and soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship.? I totally believe this because Bella is 18. When I was 18, I searched my soul for everything. I couldn?t order lunch without driving to the desert with my thought journal. I have worked really hard to live a drama-free adult life but sometimes I miss all that passion.
Anyway, I kind of missed the boat on Bella and Gregg, especially Gregg as I had no idea who he was until I saw he played Alex?s werewolf boyfriend on Wizards of Waverly Place. My kids used to watch that so I do know him! Ah well, too bad, then – they both seem like nice folks. At least they are keeping things amicable? for now.
Things just didn't end up working the way we had hoped. But I'll always love the bub https://t.co/Zv1naATV7q
