Matthew McConaughey is the latest star to join Instagram. As of this writing, he has a million followers, and he says in his first Instagram story, posted Monday, [Things just got] a lot cooler because I do [have an Instagram account]. In his first post, a video, he says, When people come to my page, I want them to see me, though admits that hes nervous about sharing his thoughts with people because (as he says with a laugh) he prefers a monologue to a dialogue, though he recognizes the value of being able to have a conversation with others. He also says that hes looking forward to sharing who I am with you.

I like to reminisce a lot about the summer of 2016 and how much fun that was, with all of the receipts and Tiddlebanging. But you know what was the gold-standard summer of gossip? 2012, the summer the brought nonstop gossip headlines and went out with a bang with Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson with her married director. Us Weekly got the photos and all hell broke loose for like a month straight. Remember how Rob had to promote a movie and he gave away his first interview to Jon Stewart at the Daily Show? It was a glorious mess of drama and Twihard meltdowns and so much more. I kind of wonder if we?ll ever really know that kind of pure gossip craziness again.
Anyway, even back then, I truly believed that Kristen and Rob were REALLY together. So many people claimed it was all a showmance or that the cheating/break-up scandal was timed for promotion. But? Rob and Kristen were really together. And she really did break his heart. But at least she?s not petty about it years later. Kristen is currently promoting several movies, and she agreed to a Howard Stern interview. Stern asked her a lot about Rob and their love. Some quotes:
On Robert Pattinson: Kristen says its weird being honest about her relationship with Pattinson, and that shes never really been allowed to say what happenedBecause I was so self-conscious about seeming like an attention-seeker. We were together for years, that was my first [love]. Hes the best.?
Whether Robsten was a fauxmance: You really think at this point, after all these years, thats how I live my life?
How her dislike of the paparazzi ruined some of the loved up moments with Rob: Stewart says they wanted to keep it ours and struggled over whether to share their romance openly or put it on lock. But ?? You deprive yourself of so many experiences. We didn?t walk down the street holding hands because we were like, ?We don?t wanna give it to ?em.? But then, we didn?t get to walk down the street holding hands, and it sucked.?
Whether she would have married Rob: ?I wanted to ? yeahI don?t know, I?m not a super-duper traditionalist, but at the same time ? every relationship I?ve ever been in, I thought that was it. I?ve never really been the most casual person.?
Whether she?s in love right now: ?Yeahthe answer is yes, Stewart confirms, adding that shell absolutely propose. I cant fking wait.

Re: the proposal she?s currently dating Dylan Meyer and I don?t think Dylan should expect a ring any time soon, you know? Kristen cycles through girlfriends every six to nine months or thereabouts. I?m sure she deeply loves all of the women she?s dated. But I just doubt she?s going to propose to her current lady any time soon.
As for what she says about Rob? I think she?s being honest? Rob was her first love, she adored him and then she sabotaged the relationship because? sometimes people are young and dumb. She?s moved on and so has he. I hope they do think back on that time together with fondness and nostalgia though, because they really were entertaining.

I?m stealing this story away from CB before she sees the word ?nap? and tries to claim that she?s the Nap Queen and therefore she has to write about ALL celebrity naps. I nap too, CB! I just don?t nap as often as her. She loves to take a nap every day. I don?t need that I just need 10-20 minutes of quiet contemplation/meditation and some heathens might refer to it as ?disco nap? and so be it. Why all this nap discussion? Because Katie Holmes is a napper, but she also makes it sound sort of like my disco napping/meditation/quiet time thing. Katie chatted at the ?Time to Hear Me Roar? health and wellness panel recently and she chatted about napping and fitness. Some quotes:
On naps: ?I?m not afraid to take a nap in the middle of the day or any time. I?m sort of always done that ? whenever I?m on set I always nap at lunch because it resets me. And sometimes I just need to be quiet for 20 minutes and think and regroup, whether it?s going through a list of gratitude in my head or what am I coming up against ands how can I figure that out and go about it in a different way, like if I?m not reaching that goal what?s standing in my way and how do I fix that because there are roadblocks and it;s really hard and you can get down on yourself, like, ?Gosh, do I suck?? And then you have to figure it out.?
On gym time/fitness: ?I do a variation. I used to put a lot of pressure [on myself], like ?Did I work out five times this week?? whatever, and then I was like, I?m going to put this in the category of self care and actually enjoy it and look at it like that because I don?t have to put the pressure. I do yoga or boxing or cycling, sometimes I run. I did the marathon in 2007 and I felt like I really ran it. I don?t run as much as anymore. I thought I would run 10 miles a week after that but oh no, that?s really long.?
Keeping active helps her mentally: ?It always makes me feel better because even if I do five minutes it?s better than sitting on the couch, just get the body moving. If I?m stressed about it something it immediately clears that and then I can think more clearly, look at it from a different point of view. It?s like taking a walk, it gets everything loosened up. I?ve been running and working out since I was about 11 and when I was growing up if I had a test I would calm myself and it just helps when you?re around with a lot of different energy or whatever and you need to get rid of that and back to being myself.?
What she does on the days she doesn?t work out: ?In general, if I don?t feel like going to work or I don?t feel like going to work out usually those are the days that I grow the most or I discover something that I never thought I would or it turned out to be one of the best days. I always try to keep that in mind.?

The ?I did the marathon in 2007? comment is interesting because at the time, there was a widespread conspiracy that Katie actually faked her New York Marathon run. Very few people saw her running the course and the only photos from her run were at the finish line. CB wrote that up at the time and I?ve always been on Team Katie Holmes Faked Her Marathon Run. Don?t get me wrong, I believe that she?s active and she used to run, in general, and she looks very fit. But I still believe she faked that. As for the napping? she seems to have an aversion to saying ?I like to quietly meditate.? It?s really okay to say that. You don?t have to disguise it!

Here are some photos from the LA premiere of Marriage Story. Scarlett Johansson wore Louis Vuitton and Laura Dern wore a bright, hideous Zimmerman gown. Don?t get me wrong, I hate ScarJo?s LV look too. It?s pretty much guaranteed that Scarlett will receive her first-ever Oscar nomination for this film, and it?s painful to me that we can?t even enjoy a good fashion tour from Scarlett as she goes through this Oscar campaign. Check our archives Scarlett?s already worn so many bad gowns and she?s already been styled so poorly. Incidentally, I think Dern will probably grab a Supporting Actress nomination for this film too, at least that?s the buzz. Adam Driver didn?t attend this premiere, but I?m sure he?ll get nominated too.
As for all of the nominations and Oscar campaigns as of this moment, I think Renee Zellweger is the ?early frontrunner? for her Judy Garland drag. Critics fking love Judy and it?s Renee?s big ?comeback.? But I could see Scarlett sneaking in at the last minute, especially if her Oscar campaign goes well. The issue is that every time Scarlett opens her mouth, she says offensive sh-t about Woody Allen or transgender Japanese trees/people. I was checking out Gold Derby to see if there were any other actresses getting buzz right now? there?s Helen Mirren for The Good Liar, Saoirse Ronan for Little Women, Charlize Theron for her Megyn Kelly drag in Bombshell and? who knows. It doesn?t feel like the strongest year for actresses, honestly. So maybe Scarlett could pull it out.
PS? Yes, Scarlett truly wore lucite heels.

Kaiser linked this story yesterday, but things are slow so let?s spend a little more time with it. Mainly because, as Kaiser said, Matt Damon still tells a good story and I am very excited to see Ford v. Ferrari. As most know, Damon reinvented himself as an action hero a few decades into his career, notably taking on the Bourne series. What was notable about that is that at the time, nobody thought Damon could pull off the Jason Bourne character. He did, though, and very successfully. But could he do it now? Probably not. The reason, however, has nothing to with age Damon has developed a fear of heights, something that came upon him in 2004. So, since he can?t bring himself to jump off a bridge anymore, Damon wanted to know how fellow later-in-life action star Tom Cruise does it and the answer was priceless.
Watch the clip if you can, it?s well worth your time. What Damon said about his discussion with Cruise was:
I had dinner with Tom Cruise, years ag0 after he did that thing out of the building in Mission Impossible. I kind of cornered him, and I said, ?I?m afraid of heights, how do you do this thing?? You?ve met Tom. You?re the only thing in the world. It?s not even that everything else disappears for him, everything else disappears for you. Everything else went away. But he just laser-locked and he said, ?I?ve been dreaming of this shot for 15 years, this sequence, and finally, I had a chance to do it.? And I go, ?So how did it finally come to pass?? And he goes, ?So I go to the safety guy and tell him this is what I?m going to do, I explain the whole gag to him. And the safety guy says, ?You can?t do that. That?s too dangerous. So I get another safety guy.?
And you know Cruise?s story is 100%. I?m sure many people will be upset at Cruise?s recklessness and there?s an argument there, but we want good stories from these celebrities on chat shows. I especially love celebrities sharing interesting stories about other celebrities, so I was thoroughly entertained.
My mom said that she was never afraid of heights until we were walking across the Golden Gate Bridge and I, as a very young child, stuck my head through the railing. She can barely look out windows above the fourth floor of a building now. I, too, all of a sudden developed a dramatic fear of heights as I got older. It began in my 30s but became crippling after I had my kids. I can make myself physically ill just imagining certain height situations. Even when Damon was describing when he discovered he was scared of heights in Dubai on the helipad my heart went in my throat. It?s bizarre to have it sneak up on you like that. CB is set to jump out of a plane in the spring. I wanted to do that my whole life, but I?ve come to terms that I do not think it will ever be possible for me. So, I guess Damon and I will have to stay on the ground and commit to living vicariously through CB and Cruise. At least we?ll get some good stories out of it. Of course, that?s only if we can bear to watch.

As we learned, Keanu Reeves is officially dating a lady. And it?s all so age-appropriate, I can?t contain myself! Keanu made his coupled-up debut with Alexandra Grant this past weekend at the LACMA Art + Film gala. She?s an artist and illustrator, and they?ve partnered on books and a publishing house together. They?ve known each other and been close friends for years. No one really knows how long they?ve been together. But we know that Keanu wants us to know that he does have a special lady in his life. And now a source tells People Magazine that he?s ready to live his love out loud, in front of the world!
Keanu Reeves and artist Alexandra Grant are in a relationship ? and are ready to be more public about it. Reeves, 55, and Grant, 46, attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala over the weekend, where they walked the carpet holding hands.
?Keanu wants to openly share his life with her,? a source tells PEOPLE. ?He is extremely happy and grateful to have Alex in his life.?
The insider says the two, who have known each other for years, ?started dating earlier this year, but have wanted to keep it quiet.?

Somehow, I love it even more knowing that they were friends for eight years before they started dating. We stan a respectful male-female friendship and artistic partnership which blossoms into romantic love over time. We also have to stan the fact that Keanu is willing to put himself out there with Alexandra and with his fans too I?m sure there were some broken hearts, but Keanu?s truest fans just want him to be happy. And he?s letting us know that Alexandra makes him happy. It?s all so sweet. I could honestly watch this as some kind of ?rom-com for adults.? BRB, writing the screenplay right now.
