She?s been under constant observation at a mental health facility since October 10th and on Thursday (October 30) Amanda Bynes was released from her involuntary hold.
According to TMZ, the 28-year-old unstable actress immediately went back to her strange behavior, roaming up and down the Sunset Strip and dining at a Sunset Boulevard restaurant.
Bynes contested her involuntary treatment and a hearing officer reportedly determined that she was stable enough to make her own decisions.
Still, Amanda?s mother Lynn has temporary conservatorship over Bynes? medical and financial affairs as she "poses a substantial risk to herself, to others, and to property."

Here are some photos from last night?s 2014 BAFTA Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards in Beverly Hills. The turnout was so-so. I?m sort of disappointed that many of our favorite British people didn?t show up, but hey, they got Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo and Judi Dench! Judi Dench never comes out for any of these shows, so this is actually an event! The biggest fashion headline from this event was Emma Watson in this Balenciaga ensemble. It reminds me of something Kristen Stewart would wear. Eh. I?m seen Emma do better, but this is far from offensive. I like that she?s wearing pants, but I would have loved to see her in something more awards-carpet-y. Emma received the British Artist of the Year Award. Judi Dench received the Albert Broccoli Worldwide Contribution Award.
Here?s Hailee Steinfeld in a Roksanda Illinic dress and Charlotte Olympia clutch. She?s such a pretty young woman!
Julia Louis-Dreyfus was honored for ?excellence in comedy.? People really love Veep, don?t they? I like it and I like Julia, but I don?t think it?s the funniest thing ever. She looks stunning in this gown! Also: she?s a vampire. She?s 53 years old!

Yesterday, I covered the first excerpts from Us Weekly?s Renee Zellweger cover story ? go here to read. I actually enjoy this debate about Renee and how we should treat/cover celebrity plastic surgery. My take aligns with CB?s take which is basically that they?re celebrities on a red carpet and if the work is noticeable, why is ?wrong? to notice? Of course there are struggles with aging in Hollywood and in the real world, and if you?re getting something done to make yourself feel better, God bless. But I also think it?s human nature to NOTICE when someone dramatically changes their appearance, and like I always say, judging comes naturally to most people too. Anyway, there are more excerpts from Us Weekly?s story:
New York cosmetic surgeon Victoria Karlinsky tells Us that Zellweger ?likely had upper-lid surgery to make her eyes look more open as well as a very conservative tupe of rhinoplasty to narrow the bridge of her nose.?
Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Davis Alessi ?suspects she had fat removed from her cheeks. She probably also had Botox injected into her jaw muscles to make them thinner.?
So why did Zellweger do it? A Zellweger confidant tells Us Weekly: ?She is sort of obsessed with staying younger and is having a hard time accepting she?s not the hot young thing in Hollywood anymore. But the problem is she didn?t appreciate everything that made her interesting and special.?
In 2010, ?The parts started drying up. She wonders what?s wrong with her and why she isn?t getting the roles she used to,? says the confidant.
Nowadays, Renee enjoys a quieter existence, mostly settled in an oceanfront Santa Monica condo. She ?is extremely health conscious and does a lot of yoga and all the workout fads. She?s always trying different diets and meal delivery services.?
Boyfriend Doyle Bramhall shares her passion for healthy living too: ?They work out together and both love being outside. He?s someone she can be quiet with. That?s rare.?
Still, the source close to Zellweger takes issue with the notion that love is itself a facelift: ?Renee?s in a great relationship and at peace for the first time. But unfortunately, happiness doesn?t raise your eyelids or make you look more awake.?
Though criticism about her looks has dampened her mood ? ?Renee is putting on a brave faade but she is shaken by the blowup this week? ? it just may help her career. She?s currently working on Same Kind of Different as Me in Mississippi and the coverage about her face could help the release of The Whole Truth next year.

I agree that Renee didn?t really embrace her old face. Us Weekly included some of the harsher criticism, including what one bitchy movie critic said about her face a few years ago, referring to it as ?weird? and ?rabbity.? It?s a cruel world out there and insecurity is a bitch. But? Renee?s face still makes me sad.

T.I. is promoting his ninth album, Paperwork, so he’s been doing a few interviews. Before I get to his quotes, a brief refresher would help. T.I. mentors Iggy Azalea and often defends her in the press (with or without success). T.I.’s very loyal to Iggy when it comes to her art, but his attitude towards her interactions with other rap artists feels different.
Iggy has a few high-profile feuds under her “Fancy” belt this year. Nicki Minaj shaded Iggy not once but (possibly) twice. A few weeks ago, Snoop Dogg called Iggy foul names and made fun of her makeup-free pap shots. T.I. reportedly made a phone call to Snoop, who faux-apologized to Iggy.
T.I. spoke with Vibe Vixen for a #CRWN sitdown. Iggy’s feud with Nicki came up in conversation. T.I. also talked with MTV about the Snoop Dogg debacle. T.I. feels like the girlfight was very different than what happened with Snoop. How shocking:
On the Nicki vs. Iggy feud: “Women can’t get along.” He also added that Nicki was jealous because Iggy “took a lot of motherf—ers’ spots.”
On the Snoop vs. Iggy feud: “I didn’t make Snoop do anything. I stepped in when it became a public topic of discussion. When it stopped being between two people and it was being observed by the world, and it was almost like people were tuning in just to see what was happening next. Me and Snoop have a long-standing personal and professional relationship. I have a huge amount of admiration, love and respect for him and for what he?s done for the game — for people like me to be able to do what we do — and when I called him it was a very, very, very cordial, respectful [conversation]. He immediately said he knew what I was calling about and just assured me [that it was] nothing to even worry about. It?s over with. And we started talking about something else immediately.”

T.I. believes that Nicki and Iggy couldn’t help but fight because “women can’t get along.” As if women have nothing better to do than roll around in a pit of mud and pull each other’s hair extensions. But Snoop? T.I. respects Snoop. That feud was nothing to worry about because dudes can work it out. What a gross attitude from T.I., but I’m not surprised.

This Gisele Bundchen interview is a week old, so I?m sorry I haven?t seen it before now, when I read the quotes at LaineyGossip. Gisele did an interview with The Sunday Times (a UK paper) where she discussed motherhood and how she feels like she?s a better mom when she spends a time focusing on herself and her priorities and well-being. These quotes are being taken as ?Gisele issues more asinine mommy-dictates!? But I don?t know? I can sort of see where she?s coming from:
When did it become a crime to admit that you — as a parent — put yourself first? Sure, supermodel Gisele Bundchen’s haters are ready to pounce no matter what the gorgeous, successful, wealthy wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has to say.
But the backlash surrounding her most recent comments about parenting — how important it is as a mother to take care of yourself — really got our attention because the issue is a powerful one in today’s parenting.
“You know how they say on the plane you have to put the oxygen mask on first and then put it on your child?” Bundchen told “The Sunday Times” in an interview about why she believes motherhood is her most important job. “So I think it is the same, as a mum, to take care of myself.”
“You can feel a bit guilty,” she said. “But if I put my oxygen mask on first, if I’m feeling fulfilled and present and good about myself, then I’m going to be a much more patient, loving, understanding mother and wife. You have to fill your glass so that everyone can drink from it. That’s how I feel.”

See, I don?t think this is as absurd as some of her more offensive comments about pregnancy and breastfeeding. Now, will Gisele be wildly misconstrued? Sure. Of course. To me, it sounds like she?s saying that she?s a better mom when she?s healthy mentally and physically, so she prioritizes her own health and well-being alongside the health of her children. To Gisele?s critics, I?m sure it sounds like ?I am my first priority, my kids can be raised by wolves for all I care.? Should we give Gisele some credit for not waxing philosophical about how she?s the first mother in the world to feel selflessness, etc?

Given Kim?s unfortunate habit of exposing her body in weird ways AND given Kim?s recent obsession with ?waist training,? can we say for sure that she?s not pregnant right now? Apparently we can?t say that, because there?s a rumor going around that Kim is knocked up again. The gist is that Kim did a video interview with Pixiwoo at some point in the last month and she was talking about maternity clothes. She said: ?I wore my regular clothes and I would just buy a size up. I don’t know if I would necessarily do that this time around…Pregnancy style is hard.? Do you see what people are picking apart? ?THIS time around.? God, I really hope this is true. I want her to be pregnancy twinsies with Duchess Kate again. PLEASE LORD LET IT HAPPEN. It?s probably not happening though – Kim’s rep told Page Six definitively that Kim is “not pregnant.” BOO!
Meanwhile, I?m sure this story is crap but it made me laugh so much. Probably because it sounds so possible and so Kanyeezington.

Good lord, this is not going to end well. Earlier this week, media outlets announced that Amanda Bynes? 5150 psych hold had been extended for one month, after the initial 72-hour hold had been extended for two weeks. The one month extension was just verified on Monday! Which was around the same time that Amanda?s parents were once again approved for another conservatorship over Amanda?s finances (and possibly her medical care too). Now TMZ reports that Amanda was let out of the psychiatric facility yesterday. WHAT?!
Amanda Bynes has been released from the psychiatric facility where she’s been held for more than 2 weeks and was roaming the Sunset Strip Thursday night … TMZ has learned.
Sources familiar with Amanda’s treatment tell TMZ … she went before a hearing officer at the psychiatric facility Thursday, asking to be released. Amanda has been on her meds and sounds lucid, even though doctor’s say she is seriously mentally ill.
The hearing officer felt Amanda was stable enough so she could NOT be held involuntarily, so he ended the 30-day hold that had been granted last week and Amanda walked out the front door.
Amanda walked down Sunset Blvd., searching for a place to stay. She then went to a diner where she ordered a ton of food which she devoured — fried chicken, salmon, caesar salad with guacamole, and a house salad with Italian and ranch. She was chit-chatting with the waiter and said she was shy because she had a procedure on her face which required a bandage.
She was alone in the diner and was talking to herself. We’re told Amanda has been looking for a hotel room but she had been turned down at several places.

This is one of the biggest problems of profound mental illness ? a mentally ill person can be lucid and functional while on medication in a structured psychiatric environment, so the person gets released because they are not exhibiting any danger to themselves or others. Then as soon as they?re released, they go off their medication and the structure is gone and there is a significant ?relapse.? It breaks my heart that this one guy decided that Amanda was ?well enough? to be released, especially since it seems like her parents had gotten all of their legal ducks in a row to ensure Amanda was locked-down at this facility. Sh-t, man. Let?s see if someone can get her back into treatment.
