She’s topped the bestseller list with her first book, and it sounds as if Lauren Conrad is eyeing the producer role as she tries to get L.A. Candy adapted for the big screen.
Talking about the former MTV reality star’s hopes, a source tells People magazine: “Lauren’s goal is to get into producing – it always was. It was always to make L.A. Candy into a film or TV show. She’s been in talks about it”
While no deal has yet to have been made, Conrad told the New York Daily News that she is, indeed, “hoping for a movie deal,” although she doesn’t “want to commit to anything until I see all my options.”
Meanwhile, there are no plans for Miss Conrad to take on acting duties, as the insider tells, “She would never star in it because she doesn’t want to be an actress. She spent so long on TV …[she] would love to produce.”

Following a morning photo call, Brad Pitt took to the red carpet for the German premiere of “Inglourious Basterds” in Berlin on Tuesday (July 28).
Joined by co-star Diane Kruger and director Quentin Tarantino, the “Fight Club” stud looked snazzy in a grey suit as he greeted a large crowd which gathered for the evening’s festivities.
Also starring in the movie, which hits theaters in the States on August 21, are Mlanie Laurent, Eli Roth and Christoph Waltz.
Per IMDB, the WWII drama is set in Nazi-occupied France, with “a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as The Basterds chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.”

Forgive the huge amount of photographs, but I took these pictures! I had the thrill of photographing the red carpet at the Inglourious Basterds premiere tonight in Berlin. Thanks to the people who didn’t give me a hard time about getting a press pass, and a ladder that was there, I was able to get these photos. This was such a thrill for me after missing Pitt’s last premiere in Berlin in January while I was on vacation in Florida. Brad took time to sign autographs and chat with elated fans tonight. He told Proseiben that he was happy to be in Berlin in the summer for once and that he has many friends here. He also let it drop that he’d “already hit the bars.” (Or “bar,” I should have videotaped it as I don’t remember what he said exactly, but that’s pretty close.) He didn’t seem inebriated at all and came across as perfectly sober while making the rest of us, or at least me, a little giddy in his presence. (I was probably the only photographer screaming with the fans in delight, and while I tried to keep it down I just couldn’t contain myself.)
Also shown at the premiere are boxing great Vladimir Klitschko, director Quentin Tarantino, and Brad’s co-stars Diane Kruger and Til Schweiger. Diane looked lovely in a little neutral-colored dress. It was Brad who stole the show, though, just by showing up.

Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan have reached a settlement in their divorce case thus reaching a conclusion to the one-sided slam war that Linda and her publicist were waging. Though the terms will not be released, the two said in court on Tuesday morning that both parties were happy with them. The divorce was finalized then and there.
No animosity lingered as Linda and Hulk even parted with a kiss on the cheek. The only remaining issue is who’s going to pay for Brooke Hogan’s sex change. The adam’s apple removal went well, but who’s going to pay for removal of the penis? Brooke can’t keep tucking forever.

The British glamour beauty is starring in a new project alongside cage fighter Alex Reid – whom she’s said to be quite smitten about.
Meanwhile, Miss Price is also working on transforming her multiple autobiographies into a movie – in which she hopes to see Julia Roberts play her character.
When asked who she’d want portraying her, Price told More! magazine: “I’d probably say Julia Roberts - and the reason is, before my career and everything, my hair was really curly.”

Not far removed from her big engagement announcement, Ivanka Trump attended the 26th Annual Women’s Jewelry Association Awards For Excellence Gala on Monday night (July 27).
Looking lovely as she flashed her diamond ring, the socialite/media personality mingled with fellow guests before checking out the night’s festivities at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City.
Upon announcing that she’s engaged to New York Observer publisher Jared Kushner a few weeks back, Ivanka’s mom gushed, “I am so thrilled about Ivanka’s engagement. She and Jared have been a serious couple for a long time, and their happiness has grown as their relationship has deepened.”
“It is wonderful to see, feel and hear my beautiful daughter so very happy and in love. I wish this wonderful couple nothing but a long and happy life together filled with joy. They are wonderful young people, and make a fantastic couple,” Ivana adds.

Hard at work on a new film project, Naomi Watts was spotted chatting with writer/director Woody Allen on a London, England movie set earlier today (July 28).
The “King Kong” cutie looked intensely focused as she filmed scenes for the still-untitled project which also stars Freida Pinto, Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Josh Brolin.
Naomi is coming off of a family vacation in Amalfi, Italy where she chilled out and relaxed with partner Liev Schreiber and their sons Alexander Pete and Samuel Kai.
While in Italy, Miss Watts enjoyed plenty of beautiful weather and water fun with her boys on a well-deserved holiday.

Still searching for Mr. Right, Paris Hilton recently told FOX Pop Tarts about her dream of becoming a mother someday.
Chatting at the Los Angeles premiere of “Paris, Not France,” she said, “Of course I want to have a family and be a mom. I want to be like my mom who is amazing and she has 4 beautiful children so I’d love to have that one day.”
Paris also explained how her party girl image is completely inconsistent with the reality that is her busy and taxing lifestyle.
“When I lived in N.Y., when I was 16, everyone used to think I was just a party girl but there’s a lot of work that goes into it and it is not just about being photographed and going to parties.”
“I have to travel the world promoting my brand, I have to be designing. I have to be doing so many things so it’s not just all fun and games. She’s gearing up for a return to the set of her new show “The Beautiful Life” and Mischa Barton is said to be ready for action.
According to her rep, the “O.C.” actress “will be resuming production as planned with the rest of the cast in NYC. She’s back to business as usual.”
“The Beautiful Life” creator/producer Ashton Kutcher also commented on Barton’s status at a technology conference in Pasadena, saying, “I can tell you right now that Mischa Barton is doing great.”
Back on July 15th, Mischa checked herself into a hospital to deal with some personal issues, and has since overcome her problems enough to fulfill her work commitments.

It seemed like Jessica Simpson might be having a really tough time after Tony Romo dumped her a few weeks ago. All of the unnamed sources swarmed to the tabloids to tell all about how mopey and depressed Jessica was, and how her family was ?worried? about how she was taking the breakup. But with each new revelation as to how douchey Tony Romo is, including stories about how he left her in an IHOP parking lot, and how he put up a big ALL CAPS sign banning Jessica from his property, Jessica has come out looking better. Not just ?better? as in her media coverage has gotten a little bit better, but I tend to think Jessica has been looking better too. She looks healthy and relaxed. Maybe she?s not the sad sack I think of her as.
So after a few public outings last week, Jessica decided to put in a half-hour appearance at a ?listening party? for a new artist her dad just signed. The party was held at the home of jeweler Pascal Mouawad, the Lebanese jeweler to the stars, and a big fan of blondes. As a token of affection? or perhaps as just a ?get well? gift, Mouawad gave Jessica a $10,000 ring and several other pieces, free of charge. Damn. I wish people would just throw free jewelry at me!
Jessica Simpson made another post-split public appearance Monday, attending a listening party for singer An Ya, who has signed on to her dad’s Papa Joe Records label.
Joined by her mother Tina, Jessica, 29, arrived at the West Hollywood home of famed jeweler Pascal Mouawad around 8:30 p.m. and headed straight upstairs, where she stayed for about 30 minutes. She posed for a few photos and was given thousands of dollars of free jewelry, including a $10,000 ring.
When asked by Usmagazine.com how she was doing, she replied, “Good.”
Simpson looked tan and fit as she worked the room in a sparkly black dress and lots of jewelry.
She also appeared in better spirits, laughing as she made her way down the stairs. She greeted Lane Garrison before heading to dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel. (Joe Simpson was Garrison’s former youth pastor in Texas.)
After the bash, Jessica Tweeted: “Just left my dad’s new artist An-Ya’s single release celebration with my family. Good luck sweetheart! You are a doll.”
Lindsay Lohan was also in attendance with an entourage of girls, but no Sam Ronson.

If you want to see some of the jewelry pieces Jessica got for free, check out the Mouawad website. Jeez, I could spend hours looking at jewelry. Some of the pieces are just gorgeous - he doesn?t just do big honkin? jewels, he has some delicate pendants and simple rings and stuff. Very pretty. Jessica is a lucky girl - maybe she and this Mouawad guy will end up dating? I can?t find info on whether he?s married or anything, but I?d say a good word of advice to any woman is: ?Date a jeweler.?

Over the weekend, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie loaded their kids into a Chevy Suburban and drove to McDonalds. They went through the drive-thru and ordered a bajillion Happy Meals. According to US Weekly, ?Pitt drove the Chevrolet Suburban, while Jolie sat shotgun (the kids stayed in the back). Bodyguards blocked the drive-thru — and anyone getting close to the family’s vehicle — as the Jolie-Pitt clan waited in line for about five minutes before they were handed their bags of food.? I swear, only the Jolie-Pitts could turn a McDonald?s excursion into a massive, international, headline-making jaunt. Every media outlet covered it! It was so weird.
Anyway, after the McDonald?s visit, many thought Angelina would be making the trip to Germany with Brad for the premiere of Inglourious Basterds. After months of rumors about how they?re splitting, or how they?re having all of these problems, I thought that they?d use the Basterds premiere stuff to temporarily end the rumors. Not so much, as it turns out. As far as I can tell, Angelina and the kids are staying home in LA for Brad’s German jaunt. At this point, I?m not even sure they even care what’s written about them.
These are new photos of the Basterds photo call in Germany. Brad, Quentin Tarantino and the cast of Basterds all posed, and all of them look like they had a rough flight, don?t they? I can?t say that I?m loving Brad?s v-neck white t-shirt. Of course, I?m wearing one that?s quite similar right now. Is that what’s in style now? I didn’t know. It just makes Brad look like he forgot to put something over his undershirt, doesn?t it? However, I?m still loving his salt-and-pepper goatee, that thing is pretty sexy.
This might be just nit-picking, but doesn?t Brad look like he has an eye infection or something? I swear, his left eye looks a puffy and swollen, like mine get when I?ve been wearing my contacts too long.
In one final piece of Brad Pitt news, he just bought himself another bike. It?s ?a heavily customised chrome bike? sporting a metal seat? and it was just delivered to his LA home today. See these Daily Mail pics - the bike looks wicked!

'It's not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling,' singer says of album slated for November.By Kyle Anderson

Avril Lavigne has made a career out of jumpy, raucous pop-punk anthems like "Sk8er Boi" and "Girlfriend." But on her upcoming fourth album, slated for November release, she will be taking a completely different approach to her music.
"A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal," Lavigne told Billboard.com. "It's a lot different from anything I've done before. It's not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling."
Though the album still doesn't have a title, it does have a producer: Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, who also happens to be Lavigne's husband. Whibley handles production on eight of the record's planned 12 tracks, with the remainder of the album helmed by frequent collaborator Butch Walker (the former Marvelous 3 frontman who has co-written Lavigne hits like "My Happy Ending" and "When You're Gone").
"I'm kind of just keeping it in the family with all of my close friends," she said. "I didn't work with a ton of people this time."
At least one of the songs from the album is already making the rounds, albeit in truncated form: "Black Star" scores the just-released ad for Lavigne's fragrance of the same name. She's also celebrating the one-year anniversary of the launch of her clothing line, Abbey Dawn.
To match the quieter, stripped-down tone of the album, Lavigne plans on going on a theater tour in support of it. "I feel it will really suit this record," she said.

Earlier in the day, Tizzie was spotted at the NBC studios for a promotional performance on the “Today” show, though it seems the early call time was a bit much for her band.
Prior to the performance, Ashley tweeted, “At the Today Show and we haven’t even gone on yet, looks like my band hasn’t gotten their beauty sleep.”

While their split was a shocker to all of us, Kim Kardashian gave small hints that she wasn’t happy with her relationship with Reggie Bush prior to the big announcement.
According to a report, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” diva was less than excited to live with her Bush, especially after a round of real estate searching.
She told press, He hated the one that I loved. There is one that he loved and I know my mom is going to love. So I don’t know. I just feel like I have lived in a condo and it’s just time. I’ve always wanted to buy a big house myself and ... It is time for me to move. I wish my sisters could move in with me.”
When asked if she wanted to live with Reggie, Kim replied, “I don’t think I would ever live with someone unless I’m engaged. I’m really firm on that. I have done it before. I would tell all my friends, the best thing is to keep your independence. It feels really good to be able to buy a place by myself.”

This year, [Scarlett] Johansson was the headliner, promoting Iron Man 2, but it was an appearance by Megan Fox which had the geeks talking after one fan approached the star during a Q&A to promote her new supernatural western Jonah Hex.
“My question is for Megan,” the man said. “I have a Sony HVR (video camera). It’s not a true HD, but it gives a pretty good image.
Anyway, my question is: I just graduated film school and I’m trying to help my career. I was wondering if you’d be interested in some kind of, like, celebrity sex tape?”
With that, a couple of security guards grabbed the fella and took him to an undisclosed location.
“Dude, I can’t wait to see what you look like in 30 minutes,” Fox’s co-star, Josh Brolin, quipped as the man was dragged away.

Maybe it?s because I?m a geek too but the guys you meet here are very nice and very appreciative of what you do.? Except when you make a joke about a sex tape, then she’s going to make sure your nerd ass thrown out and beaten up. Classy!
In other Megan Fox news, she?s still with Brian Austin Green. According to Radar, they looked ?agitated? while running out for coffee yesterday. Maybe she looks agitated because Megan realized she was with one of the biggest dweebs in Hollywood.

Not exactly. Wendy Maguire, Tobey’s mom, and his brother, Weston, 15, have been tapped to star in a reality series called Growing Up Maguire. The series will follow Wendy, a single mother, through the trials and tribulations of raising her children in the entertainment industry. Weston will be randomly skateboarding, dirt biking and snowboarding through the series.
Aren’t reality shows usually for stars who are about to hit rock bottom and need the money. I know Tobey isn’t going to be in this, but he has enough from Spider-Man to take care of his mom and brother. At least enough so that his family doesn’t have to debase themselves on a reality show. Not only that, Tobey Maguire isn’t exactly the most exciting celebrity out there. The show is going to be 30 minutes of his mom calling him and asking what he wants in his lunchbox tomorrow. Your wrists might slit themselves after watching this.

Breaking up the monotony of the long day on the job, Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri were spotted playing around on the set of “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” earlier today (July 28).
The “Dawson’s Creek” darling and her toddler looked be thoroughly enjoying each other’s playful side as they smiled and laughed together.
And it’s good to see Katie having such light-hearted fun, especially considering that she narrowly escaped injury during an on-set accident over the weekend.
As previously reported, Holmes barely avoided disaster when a car caught on fire while she was filming a scene in it. An exploding battery was said to be the cause of the incident.

Ms. Streep sported a beautiful red dress teamed with a black cardigan and black heels, while Miss Adams looked breathtaking in a white sleeveless frock with beige high-heels.
As for the rest of us who weren’t lucky enough to score a seat at the premiere, “Julie & Julia” hits theaters nationwide next Friday, August 7th.

The “Fight Club” stud looked handsome in a cream colored v-neck t-shirt with a matching cap while Miss Kruger added some sex appeal in her strapless yellow dress with vintage heels.
During a recent interview with Bild, a German magazine, Pitt revealed that, unlike many of his Hollywood colleagues, he’s not a very spiritual person.
When asked if he believes in God, Brad replied, “No, no, no!” adding, “"No, no, no! I’m probably 20 per cent atheist and 80 per cent agnostic. I don’t think anyone really knows. You’ll either find out or not when you get there, until then there’s no point thinking about it.”

Miley gushed over the clothing line she’s working on with Max Azaria for Walmart, saying that she’d pay $500 for jeans they’re selling for $20 and that the line “is going to good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but they don?t have it available.” Miley’s statement wasn’t offensive as much as poorly worded.
Some of the best and least reported quotes came from her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, who confirmed what people have long assumed about his relationship with Miley - he’s her friend “first and foremost, then a daddy.” No wonder he set her up with her last boyfriend, 20 year-old Justin Gaston. That’s what friends do, while protective daddies try to keep their daughters from dating much older guys.

I think Billy Ray’s heart is in the right place, but he gets a lot well-deserved criticism for being too permissive with his daughter. She just turned 16 and by many accounts the guy her father hand-picked for her, Justin Gaston, was staying overnight with her family until their breakup earlier this summer. Miley is now dating avowed virgin Nick Jonas, also 16, and she recently tweet-denied the In Touch report that Nick had bought her a $75,000 “commitment ring,” writing “I woke up this morning and thought I’d check up on the daily gossip and apparently Nick Jonas gave me a $75,000 ring? The pair, who recently returned from a charity trip to Africa with Kardashian’s sister Khloe, just last May talked about “heading” toward marriage, but sources tell PEOPLE their relationship suffered from the time they spent apart ? with yet another separation looming with the upcoming NFL season.
“They never get to see each other, ever,” the source says. “It’s been a long time coming. They still love each other and are part of their lives, but Reggie spends six months out of the year in New Orleans, so it’s tough.”

It strikes me that Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson are sort of in the same boat. They were both dating their football players for more than a year and a half, Kim and Jessica are around the same age, they both seem like girls who just want to settle down and get married, and they neither of them seems to have the good sense God gave a goat. Something tells me that Reggie is going to be way more respectful about Kim than Tony is being about Jessica. Reggie always seemed like a nice guy. In my mind, that is. I barely know anything about him, but I do get caught up in the occasional Keeping Up with the Kardashians marathon. Kim really seemed to adore Reggie? maybe the split will be temporary. Cue dramatic music - John Travolta’s rep says that he’s a member of the “church” of Scientology - forever. The Daily Mail ran a piece over the weekend claiming that Travolta, 55, has been questioning his involvement in Scientology following the death of his son Jett, 16, earlier this year. Jett suffered from what his parents said was Kawasaki syndrome, and there were reports that he had autism, a disorder that Scientology refuses to recognize. Jett died after suffering a seizure and hitting his head in a bathroom at his parents’ estate in the Bahamas. Many people wondered if Jett would have lived had he been properly treated with psychiatric medication. The Travoltas claimed that Jett was on anti-convulsant medication for years, but that it stopped working and that they consulted with neurologists, who recommended that he be taken off the drug. Jett’s family has surely been haunted by the question of whether they could have somehow prevented his death. You would expect that to include questioning the edicts of their cult, which stipulates that members never consult psychiatrists or take psychiatric medication. The Daily Mail could have been guessing, but there may have been an element of truth to their story, which stated that “his son’s sudden death has ‘deeply shaken’ Travolta’s faith in the strange sect, which makes wild claims about its ability to cure a variety of physical and mental disorders.”
That’s not true, according to Travolta, who has asserted through his rep that he will always be a Scientologist:
A July 25 report in Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper claiming that Travolta, 55, had grown disenchanted with his longtime religion in the wake of his son Jett’s death in January is “totally false,” his rep Paul Bloch tells PEOPLE.
“There’s no change in the relationship between the Church of Scientology and John,” says Bloch. “He is a member and it’s as it was, now and forever.”
The still-grieving actor, his wife Kelly Preston, 46, and their daughter Ella Bleu, 9, recently returned to one of their favorite spots: their oceanfront island home in Isleboro, Maine, where the family spent their last Christmas with Jett in 2008. On July 18 Travolta and Preston exchanged greetings with locals at the island’s Dark Harbor gift shop. “He’s pretty low-key,” says one local. “He pretty much stays to himself when he comes.”
The getaway was a break for Preston, who has been filming The Last Song ? a coming-of-age film in which she plays the mother of Miley Cyrus’s character ? in Savannah, Ga., this summer. I don’t believe much in The Daily Mail, which regularly makes up stories about celebrities when they’re not pointing out knobby knees and small amounts of cellulite. If the story was true, though, it’s not like Travolta is going to admit that he has problems with his cult. Scientology surely has some deep dark dirt on him. One of the key ways that cults control their members is by eliciting confessions so that they have something to hold against them if they threaten to leave and/or expose the cult. Scientology does this through the “auditing” process, which occurs early on in a person’s involvement and serves to help indoctrinate and brainwash them.
You would expect Travolta and Preston to be distancing themselves from Scientology behind the scenes and wondering if conventional medication could have prevented their son’s death. Scientology teaches that mental illness is not real and that their hack treatments can solve any problem. When the Scientology treatments inevitably fail, it doesn’t matter because in their eyes the person was defective anyway. No one wants to believe that about a child they lost. It’s human to wonder if things could have turned out differently and if your loved one could have lived. Travolta will never know, and that’s got to be eating away at him - and his faith.
