Rihanna’s full interview with Oprah aired yesterday. As expected, she made it clear that she still loves Chris Brown even though she punched her in the face a couple times.
She tells Oprah that they’re not seeing each other but have been “working on our friendship again and now we’re very, very close friends. We built up a trust again. Andthat’sit. We love each other and we probably always will.” I just put my face in my palms and let out a groan. Anyway, some more revelations about her relationship with Chris via Washington Post.
? The ?Battleship? star acknowledged that Brown is in a relationship and that she is single. But she also admitted that, as rumored, they recently reunited in St. Tropez. ?It?s awkward because I still love him,? she said of seeing Brown again. ?My stomach drops, and I have to maintain this poker face and not let it get to the outer part of me.?
? When Winfrey asked if Brown was a true love her for her, Rihanna responded, ?Absolutely. I think that he was the love of my life. He was my first love and I see that he loved me the same way.?
? Rihanna said she was ?angry? and ?resentful? for a long time before she ultimately forgave Brown for hitting her. She said she was able to grant that forgiveness after she resolved issues with her own father, who she implied was occasionally violent with her mother.
On the flip side, good news Chris Brown. If you still want to get back with Rihanna and you’re worried that you scared her off by repeatedly smashing your fist into her face that one time, don’t worry. It’s all good it seems.

Kicking off their week more in love than ever, Michelle Williams and Jason Segel were seen out in Los Feliz, CA on Monday (August 20).
The Hollywood duo walked arm-in-arm to their vehicle after dropping the blonde beauty's daughter Matilda at Griffith Park.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the "How I Met Your Mother" actor recently reached out to Kim Ledger, the father of the late actor Heath Ledger, to express his care for their six year-old granddaughter.
A source told website RadarOnline: "Jason got on the phone and introduced himself to Kim, and then invited the Ledgers to use his home whenever they wanted to fly in from Australia to visit Michelle and Maddie.
"Kim was blown away by Jason's generosity and the two hit it off right away. Now Kim's given his blessing for Jason to marry Michelle and be a stepdad to Matilda."

The "Avengers" actress showed off her gorgeous smile as she joined her man and a few friends for dinner at Le Schmuck restaurant on Sunday night (August 19).
Once finished with their food, drinks and conversation, Johansson and Taylor smittenly walked arm-in-arm back to their City of Lights digs while sharing a cigarette along the way.
The Paris dinner date comes as 27-year-olf Scarlett has been dating her latest suitor since February of this year - and she previously told Vogue magazine that Nate's handling life as the partner of a celebrity quite well.
The blonde beauty dished, "[The media attention] must be very strange for him. I mean, it's got to be an adjustment for him way more than it was for me [when my career started] at 19. But he's really remarkably good about it."

Rihanna’s full interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” aired last night and, as promised in the preview clip, there was much talk of Rihanna’s thoughts on Chris Brown, which are generally conflicted, and you can tell that she hasn’t fully resolved her feelings over what took place three years ago when he beat the living crap out of her. In addition, we’ve also heard that Chris was very aghast that Rihanna (and the rest of the world) is still rehashing the events that took place because he feels like he’s worked so hard (in the studio, not in women’s shelters) on his “road to recovery.” Whatever.
Before the full interview aired, Rihanna has also come under fire from some charities that deal with violence against women because RiRi stated (in the aforementioned clip) that she “misses” Chris and that he only “made a mistake” and “needed help.” The Women’s Resource Centre has released a statement saying “We need to stop society allowing us to normalise such behaviour. Rihanna has admitted she ‘was more concerned about’ her ‘best friend’ Chris Brown after the singer’s vicious attack on her.” Now with the release of Oprah’s full program, Rihanna has fully admitted that she still loves Chris and has fully forgiven him. She also hints at some (unsurprising) dynamics that she witnessed between her own mother and father:
* Rihanna and Brown, according to Rihanna, are “not seeing each other.” But the two have been “working on our friendship again, and now we?re very, very close friends. We built up a trust again. And that’s it. We love each other and we probably always will.”
* The Battleship star acknowledged that Brown is in a relationship and that she is single. But she also admitted that, as rumored, they recently reunited in St. Tropez. “It’s awkward because I still love him,” she said of seeing Brown again. “My stomach drops, and I have to maintain this poker face and not let it get to the outer part of me.”

Beyond the troublesome attitude that Rihanna harbors for her abuser, I find it rather disgusting that Rihanna is essentially making a huge public play for Chris by admitting that she still loves him and had such a hard time when hanging with him in St. Tropez while his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, was also present. I just don’t understand why she’d do that in a normal, non-abusive situation, let alone when Rihanna’s relationship with Chris was clearly a toxic mess. But maybe she’s just addicted, I don’t know.

Just like two weekends ago, I kept checking in this past weekend to see if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had finally gotten hitched. The Mail ran an extensive story about what the wedding would look like at their French chateau, and I kept seeing reports about all of the photo agencies sending photographers to the South of France in the hopes of getting some good wedding photos. Alas, it seems like Brad and Angelina weren?t even IN France last week or this past weekend. They weren?t in England either. According to Page Six, Brangelina were vacationing in Greece, and according to a ?source,? Angelina ?laughed off? rumors that their wedding is coming up soon:
While rumors continue to swirl about Brad Pitt?s wedding to Angelina Jolie at their French chateau, the A-list couple were recently spotted in Greece.
We?re told they were seen a week ago at a restaurant in Halkidiki, northern Greece.
A source tells us, ?Angelina was in white, but she laughed and said ?not yet? when the restaurant owner asked if she was getting ready to be married. She also said, ?We love Greece too much to leave . . . we have other islands to go to before heading back to France.?
The source added that Angelina, Brad and their kids were traveling on a super-yacht and had visited islands including Mykonos and hoped to visit Santorini. Guests in the local restaurant were stunned to see them, but were banned from taking photos.
Other stars vacationing in Greece include Robert De Niro and John Travolta, who were seen admiring the Acropolis museum in Athens in early August and relaxing on a yacht. And Tom Hanks was seen taking a swim off the island of Antiparos.

Throughout the Total Recall publicity tour, I kept saying that I was no longer attracted to Colin Farrell. It was something about his haircut, his clothes, his general vibe of embarrassment? it killed my attraction to him. So now that the Total Recall publicity tour is (thankfully) dead and buried (along with Jessica Biel?s increasingly awful fashion displays), can I find Colin hot again? Well, here are some new pics of Colin leaving a yoga class in Dublin. He went with his sister. And this is how he left the yoga studio and walked to his car? like, THIS is his post-yoga outfit. A sport coat and sweat-pantaloons. Nothing else. No shirt. Not even a tank! He seriously left the studio this way and walked to his car.
So, basically, I kind of want to hit it again. THIS is the Colin I remember. This is the Colin Farrell who would do shirtless photo shoots because why not? This is the Colin Farrell who was the dirty, sexy, foul poet-badass/shamef?k. I mean, look at him. He looks dirty and sweaty and built. GAH. I would hit it. What is wrong with me that I don?t like him when he looks clean-cut and well-dressed? It?s just about HIM too ? any other dude, I would balk at this sketchy, chav-tastic ensemble and my biscuits would close up for the winter. But on Colin, it?s a charming look. I can?t properly analyze it.
Two more Colin stories ? one, he doesn?t believe in spoiling his two sons. He said in a recent interview, “Toys keep them happy and I give them ice-cream – that’s about as extravagant as it gets. One of my sons loves footballs, tennis balls – anything round – and the other is mad on trains.? That?s adorable. He plies them with ice cream, tennis balls and model trains. He sounds like a great dad.
Last thing ? the trailer for Colin?s latest film, Seven Psychopaths, is out. Colin reunited with his In Bruges director, Martin McDonagh:
It looks? weird. But considering the greatness of In Bruges, I think this will probably end up being a sleeper hit and maybe even get some award nominations. I love the way Colin looks in it, and Jesus, I LOVE Sam Rockwell. Woody looks interesting/funny too! And Christopher Walken can do no wrong.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master fast approacheth, and anticipation has been so heavy that the film’s release date has been pushed up to September 14. The Weinstein Co. has also issued a statement: “We feel that the film is great. It plays great, and we wanted to get out in front of everyone else.” Good news, right? Now Amy Adams has started her end of the promotional trail with a new interview with New York Magazine. We didn’t see much of Amy in the film’s two teaser trailers, but she came out, eyes a blazing, as cult leader Lancaster Dodd’s Lady Macbeth-esque wife in the full-length trailer. Here’s what Amy had to say about her experience filming (and watching) The Master:
On watching The Master: “I was like, I don’t even know what I did in the film or what I didn’t do, or what I need to do, I have no clue.” Near the end, during a scene between her character, the wife of a cult leader, and Joaquin Phoenix’s drifter, “I just sobbed uncontrollably. It really broke my heart. Oh God, I’m going to cry again if I think about it. I don’t know why it got to me, I’m not a crier,” she insists, collecting herself. “I’m always, ‘Oh, that’s so drama school.’ No. I’m not that kind of person.” When I ask what it was about the scene, she says it was Phoenix’s character, “so solitary, so seeking, so lost. I’d probably need to talk to a therapist to find out why that resonates with me so deeply.”
On her character, Mary Dodd: “I do not want to run into her in a dark alleyway,” says Adams. “Give me [my character] Charlene from The Fighter any day, we can have a beer, talk about it, we’ll have fun. This woman scares the sh-t out of me. Excuse my language.”
On PTA’s odd methods: “You’re the first person I’ve talked to about it,? says Adams, as if expecting a lightning bolt to strike. Anderson’s working methods were new to her. Even for scenes in which she was not scheduled to appear, she was instructed to show up, just to make her presence felt. “It was exhausting, but I love the effect. She’s almost blurry.” Often, she had no idea whether the camera was on her, as during one scene in which Hoffman leads his followers in naked sing-along around a piano; Adams had to sit as demurely as possible, nude except for a pregnant-belly prosthetic.
“It was one of the most surreal evenings of my life, and I’ve had some pretty surreal evenings, up there with giving birth,” she says. “I was in a surreal place, because my daughter still wasn?t sleeping through the night and we were shooting nights. I felt like I was a little on edge, I was a little cuckoo, so I just sort of brought it.” For another scene in which Phoenix is ruthlessly “processed,” Anderson handed her a page of Victorian pr0nography and told her to read it straight to camera. “I’m like, Wait, is Paul trying to break [me] down? Is he doing this to me?”
It all sounds a little, well, cultlike, with the secretive Anderson imposing his will upon a cast and crew systematically discombobulated by working methods designed to keep them subtly off-balance throughout. “I won’t go that far,” she says. “But I do kind of worship Paul. He’s magnificent.”
She was raised Mormon until age 12: “I’m always careful because I still have relatives I care very much about who are involved, but I definitely did see growing up a lot of women that were meant to be quiet and pleasant, and if you had something mean to say it’s probably best to keep a journal.”

I think it probably served the film quite well that PTA kept his authors in a surreal mindplace as Amy describes. A lot of directors do that sort of thing, it’s just that PTA’s films tend to be of a more bizarre variety than most. While shooting Inglourious Basterds, Quentin Tarantino kept his actors sequestered from Christoph Waltz so that when they encountered Waltz’s Jew Hunter onscreen, they were generally terrified of him. So yeah, freaking out your actors (within reason) can help produce better performances. And I can’t wait to see how The Master turns out.

Finally, we have some new photos of Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise out and about in New York City! It’s been a few weeks since that’s happened, and it’s nice to see the girls doing their thing. On Sunday, Katie was even wearing a cute red dress with a black leather jacket (you can see those photos here) without her famous fug booties. On Saturday, Katie went casual and kept the fug booties on while she and Suri went for a training-bike ride together on an NYC pathway. Those booties shall live forever, but at least Katie and Suri are having some good, old-fashioned, cheap fun together.
Speaking of (relatively) cheap fun, last week’s trip to Toledo was a good one, and Suri apparently enjoys flying commercial (contrary to a certain In Touch story) so much that as they were waiting in the security line, Suri said “I love you, I love you, I love you, Mommy.” That last little tidbit comes from Page Six, and it was probably a Holmes plant, but I still believe it. Now what I do have trouble believing is that Katie is deluded enough about her Holmes & Yang line to think that she can upstage former BFF Victoria Beckham at Fashion Week. It’s on, bitches:
Former best friends Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes will be fighting it out on the catwalk next month and the claws are out.
I am told the pair, whose friendship fizzled out long before Katie’s recent split from Tom Cruise, are both hosting shows on September 9 during New York fashion week.
Katie, 33, will be showing her Holmes & Yang collection for the first time while Victoria, 38, will be staging her VB show at the New York Public Library.
My sources say Katie is planning to use the hype surrounding her split from husband Tom to overshadow the column inches Victoria desperately wants for her VB range.
“Katie is definitely hoping to upstage Victoria,” an insider says. “This is her first show and she?s determined to prove that she can pull it off.”

Kaiser and I were talking about this, and we both begrudgingly agree that Victoria does have some fashion cred — thanks to the likes of Kate Winslet, Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, and Demi Moore, who have all worn Posh’s designs on the red carpet. I’m not a big fan of Victoria’s line at all and think that her clothes mostly look good only on Victoria (even though Jennifer Lawrence pulled off a VB look not too long ago), which is probably the point. Will Victoria ever achieve her ultimate fashion dream of dressing Tilda Swinton? Of course not. However, Victoria at least dresses like a fashionista and wouldn’t be caught dead in fug booties. Unlike poor Katie.

I really didn?t pay that much attention to Mary-Kate Olsen?s new relationship when it began several months ago. My initial thought was that probably no one would care, but I was surprised by the interest from many commenters. MK has been dating a man named Olivier Sarkozy ? he?s the half-brother of former French president Nicholas Sarkozy. Olivier and MK met earlier this year, and their May-December romance has been widely derided. My thought was (and is now): the Olsen Twins are weird, and they never date who you?d expect. They?re just? weird. Like, one of them (?) dated Justin Bartha, who I find genuinely cute, but other than that, their romantic choices just seem odd. Anyway, MK is 26 years old and Olivier is 42, already divorced and a father of two children with his first (and only) wife. His ex-wife has already stated publicly that she finds his romance with MK to be ?grotesque?. Which? sure. I can see that. He works in New York too ? and so this news isn?t all that weird. He?s just bought a new townhouse, and he plans to make a home in it with Mary-Kate:
Obviously he?s into twins. Olivier Sarkozy, 42, the much older beau of elf-like Mary-Kate Olsen, 26, has plunked down $6.25 million for a storied East 10th Street townhouse, which, like the ?Full House? star, has a twin. The half-brother of the former French president bought the pad alone, but plans to share the palatial 146-year-old love nest with Olsen, sources said.
Sarkozy is buying it because he and Olsen ?like that it is old,? a real estate insider told The Post?s Jennifer Gould Keil. The 4,200-square-foot home, built the year Abraham Lincoln took office, was designed by architect James Renwick Jr., best-known for St. Patrick?s Cathedral and the Smithsonian.
Sarkozy paid the full asking price for the five-story house with nine fireplaces, a Juliet balcony in front and a large rear garden. The townhouse is in the St. Mark?s historic district, but the couple can gut the inside so long as they keep the faade intact.
It isn?t clear how much renovation they plan to do, although the plumbing and kitchen need to be completely updated. Listing broker Jason Haber, CEO of Rubicon Property, declined to comment.
The sale has brokers wondering if Mary-Kate?s sister Ashley will snap up the house?s twin, which was initially being sold as a package with its next-door neighbor but recently was taken off the market. Sarkozy ? whose ex-wife, Charlotte, has blasted his May/December relationship with Olsen as ?grotesque? ? finally unloaded his Upper East Side townhouse earlier this year for $8.4 million by slashing the price from $11.95 million after it languished without a buyer. A rep for Olsen did not comment.

Gah, I love New York townhouses. I love Washington, DC townhouses too. That was always a real estate dream of mine ? to own a beautiful, historic townhouse in one of America?s great cities. Of course, the renovations needed would probably send me running. You can check out some photos of Sarko?s new townhouse here ? it?s really, really gorgeous. Like? if someone (anyone) asked me to live with them in that townhouse, I would. I would sleep with Kellan Lutz’s Lutzy ass if he invited me to shack up with him in a beautiful townhouse. Anyway, now Shia is grossing me out again by talking about how the sex in his upcoming movie, N-mphomaniac, will be actual sex as opposed to “acted out” sex. The fantastic voyage in reference is , of course, a movie directed by Lars Von Trier, who famously spent his 2011 trip to Cannes getting himself banned from the festival for all of eternity because he went on a socially-awkward rant that culminated in him expressing sympathies for Hitler and jokingly declaring himself a Nazi. It was a total mess, but at least that means that Shia’s bare booty (and presumably, his wang) won’t be screening for competition (or otherwise) at Cannes. As for Von Trier, I’m sure he feels that having his actors actually do it with each other is much more “artsy” than merely pretending that they’re doing it, right? Hell, I’m surprised James Franco hasn’t signed onto this movie for the art of it. Here are the details on Shia’s impending moon:
The unfiltered actor admits he’s “terrified” to film the Danish director’s erotic drama. Shia Labeouf says the sex scenes in Lars von Trier’s N-mphomaniac will be the real deal.
As THR exclusively reported, the 26-year-old actor signed on to star in the controversial Danish director’s latest project, an erotic two-part drama that begins production next month and will be released in two cuts, one more sexuality explicit than the other.
“(The movie] is what you think it is,” LaBeouf tells MTV News. “It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he’s making. For instance, there’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we’re doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening.”
Von Trier’s first film since 2011?s Melancholia, an apocalyptic drama co-starring Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg, N-mphomaniac, will chronicle the sexual adventures of a woman (Gainsbourg) from her youth through age 50. Stellan Skarsgard plays her husband, and Nicole Kidman has suggested she might have a small role.
As to why LaBeouf took the N-mphomaniac job: “Because (von Trier’s) dangerous. He scares me. And I’m only going to work now when I’m terrified.”

Honestly, Charlotte Gainsbourg must be a masochist in the true sense since she keeps signing onto these Von Trier films. If I recall correctly, Antichrist featured actual penetration in its opening scene, but these were obviously (I hope) “stunt” actors and not Charlotte and Willem Dafoe really doing the deed. Now Von Trier is pushing his little obligatory envelope even further, and I’m wondering …. who will Shia actually be, um, bedding in this movie? So far, Shia, Charlotte, Willem Dafoe, Stellan Skarsgard, and Nicole Kidman are the only confirmed actors in roles, and I don’t see Nicole agreeing to do the dirty with Shia. As for Charlotte, yeah, I can see her going there. For the art, of course.
Despite Von Trier’s madness, however, I have to admit to actually liking Melancholia much more than his other movies. But how do I feel about watching a movie featuring Shia’s authentic O-face (and much more)? I’ll pass on this one.

I don?t know, dated? The tube dress combined with the teased hair and the heavy makeup is just rough to me. She looks super ?80s. Totally ?80s.
Meanwhile, Benny Medina has just confirmed that Jennifer is getting into the whole ?3D Concert Movie? game. J.Lo?s concert movie will be called Dance Again, and Medina told Extra that ?the film will chronicle the last few years in Jennifer?s life as she faced big changes. Her instinct is to get right back up, go on the road and ?dance again?.? Yeah? combined with Jennifer?s woe-is-me interview in InStyle, it really feels like she?s trying to get some additional mileage out of her divorce. Most people were on Jennifer?s side in the first place, but it?s not like anyone really felt like she was a ?wronged woman? deserving of an outpouring of sympathy, you know? Basically, I feel like J.Lo is trying to re-brand herself as a sympathetic figure now because she?s received so much criticism because of the Casper Smart stuff.

Madonna is being sued (yay!) in Russia (awesome!) for supporting gays (oh… well then). Russian activists have sued Madonna for millions after a concert in St. Petersburg where she did the most offensive thing ever. Support gay rights.
In St. Petersburg, a law passed in February made it illegal to promote homosexuality to minors and the guy who wrote the law says children as young as 12 were at Madonna’s August 9 concert.
What were they exposed to? The performance featured Madonna”stomping on an Orthodox cross and asking fans to raise their hands to show the Pink armbands in support of gays and lesbians that were distributed among the audience.”
She’s being sued for 333 million rubles, or in non-made up currency, $10.5 million.
Responding to criticism that the plaintiffs were stuck in the Middle Ages, the lawyer said they were using civilized, modern methods to defend their rights. “No one is burning anyone at the stake or carrying out an Inquisition,” Pochuyev was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying. “Modern civilization requires tolerance and respect for different values.”
That last line right there makes me assume Russia doesn’t produce the brightest of homophobes. “Why won’t you tolerate and respect our rights to hate the queers?!,” said activists who make no sense whatsoever.

Closing out the weekend with a special press function for his new film, Jake Gyllenhaal took over the spotlight at a private screening of "'End of Watch" in East Hampton, New York on Sunday (August 19).
The handsome 31-year-old actor suited up as he was joined by actress Gwyneth Paltrow for the Goose Creek held event sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter and Samsung Galaxy SIII .
As for Jake's upcoming motion picture, an official synopsis describes it as "a powerful story of family, friendship, love, honor and courage." The writeup adds, "?End of Watch? stars Gyllenhaal and Pea as young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city?s meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. Giving the story a gripping, first-person immediacy, the action unfolds entirely through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city's most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.?
The forthcoming flick is due to hit theaters on September 28th and also stars Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick, Frank Gillo and America Ferrera.
