Salma Hayek still hasn?t said anything following the LA Times article in which Salma was widely called out for not listening to Jessica Williams. We discussed the situation yesterday – Salma and Jessica were part of a women-in-film discussion at Sundance last week and what was supposed to be a conversation about ladies in general ended up getting messy, as Jessica Williams tried to express how dangerous it feels for her, a black woman, to merely exist in this country right now. Salma talked over her, called her ?baby? and basically dismissed her. Salma still hasn?t said anything about it.
But Salma is talking about her family and how she has a great life. Perhaps that?s what she can tell all of the worried black women of America: why not just marry a billionaire and live in France, right? To be fair, Salma said all of this to People Magazine before the LAT piece came out. But she?s still pretty annoying here.
Her husband Franois-Henri Pinault: ?I married the right guy. That is probably the most important thing. We support each other in everything we do. We want the other one to strive. Makes you happy when the other one strives. And you know what, we don?t have a very strong social life, because we really like to spend time together. So we do spend a lot of quality time together.?
Being named a ?best dressed woman?: ?I feel a very strong relief. Because my husband is in the fashion business. I?m so happy I made it to the hundred and something. I think it?s going to make him proud. I think of myself as bipolar when it comes to [style]. Because if I?m going to come tonight and find a dress, but then, when nobody?s looking, you?d be shocked, I?d be happy taking a shower, and then just changing into pajamas.?
Husbands take over everything: ?Sometimes the hardest things to balance is motherhood with marriage,? she said, adding that husbands can be a little overwhelming. ?They take over, oh my God, they take over everything. You just have to remind yourself that you have that other big kid too to look after. He looks like he?s self-sufficient, but they need the tender loving care too. You have to keep reminding yourself.?
Time away from family: ?When it comes to my career, what I do is I only do roles that are shot in a way that I?m never more than two weeks away from my family.?

Salma has Real People Problems, just like you! She too has a demanding husband who needs her attention almost as much as their child. I absolutely loathe when women talk about their husbands this way, if you couldn?t tell. But I generally dislike the ?boys will be boys? and ?men need to be trained? and ?I?m married to the biggest kid of all? mentalities. That?s probably why I?m not married, right? As for the real state of Salma?s marriage? we?ve debated this before, but I still believe that she?s just a billionaire?s trophy wife and she just fronts like her marriage is really no different than anyone else?s. But whatever.

I genuinely like Sofia Vergara, but maybe that?s because I take her in small doses. Like, I enjoy the fact that the highest-paid woman on television is a Colombian woman in her 40s who speaks with a thick accent. I think that?s great for America. I?m pleased with the way Sofia has ?gotten hers? decades into her career, and that she?s finally found a guy (Joe Manganiello) who seems to take her as she is, without trying to dim her star power. But of course, some people are over Sofia. Her Charo-esque shtick is wearing a bit thin, especially when that?s the same bit they get her to do for every awards show. So, in Sofia?s new HOLA interview, she addresses the idea that she plays into the stereotype. Keep in mind though ? this is for Hola, and she?s speaking to a mostly Hispanic and Spanish-speaking audience, right?
Whether she?s playing a stereotype: ?What?s wrong with being a stereotype? Gloria?s character is inspired by my mom and my aunt. They are both Latin women who grew up in Colombia, like me. They love color, prints and shoes ? It upsets me when Latinos complain about Gloria. I am grateful for the opportunity because the gringos have let me in with this strong accent I have. Eight years ago nobody had an accent like this on television.?
Why she did the Hola cover: ?We wanted to show our fans what they wanted to see. That?s why it?s so special for us to do this cover and that?s why I convinced Joe. Because this is a really special time for us in our relationship and we enjoy our privacy, but we have the best fans in the world and we know it makes them happy to see us happy and in love.?
Joe on knowing Sofia is the one: ?We realized very early on that we each had to put the other person?s happiness and well-being ahead of our own. Once you realize that kind of trust has manifested, you hang on for dear life. Or in my case, you go and buy a ring.?

Yeah, I laughed at ?the gringos have let me in with this strong accent I have.? Again, she?s talking to a specific audience. She?s not talking TO the gringos. She?s talking to Spanish-speakers ABOUT the gringos. And she?s right, a little bit. I mean, she?s right that she?s the centerpiece of a mainstream ensemble TV show and they ?let? her speak with her natural Charo-accent, which is unique on network television. But I think she?s wrong that ?nobody had an accent like this.? Actors did have those accents, but just not on this kind of show.

Here are some photos from last night?s premiere of John Wick: Chapter 2 in Hollywood. We need some Keanu Reeves right now, don?t we? Keanu is such a vampire. While his eyes look a bit tired, you wouldn?t really guess that this mofo is 52 years old, right? He is. Anyway, I don?t really have much to say about Keanu. He hasn?t given a bunch of interviews and that suit is not the best, but I still love him. He?s going to appear on the Graham Norton Show to promote this film, so that?s something to look forward to. They also dropped these two videos about the film:
I would give anything to see Keanu Reeves get suited up to punch some Nazis, in a movie or in real life.
Keegan Michael Key – who recently starred in Keanu, a film about a cat – was also at the premiere. As was Ruby Rose, who forgot her blouse, and Keanu?s buddy Laurence Fishburne.

Slowly but surely Kim Kardashian is re-entering the old famewhore space that she used to inhabit. A leopard can?t change their spots butt implants, after all. Kim and the Kardashian-Jenners spent several days on ?vacation? in Costa Rica, only I?m pretty sure the vacation was just for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The plotlines involved: Kourtney and Scott getting into a fight (Scott left the vacay early), Kylie and Tyga still going strong and Kim enjoying her ?thinness.? We know that Kim is really feeling herself these days because she?s back to Snapchatting endlessly, even while she?s working out:
If a workout happened and it wasn?t documented on social media, did even happen at all? That?s the question Kim Kardashian West asked her Snapchat followers on Saturday, after sharing a video of herself and sister Khlo Kardashian doing a high-intensity workout. The 36-year-old reality star has been keeping a low profile since her Paris robbery in October and she has recently begun her slow return to social media. But even at the peak of her social sharing, there was one thing Kardashian West rarely showed fans: her workouts.
?I never Snapchat my workouts, just because? I don?t know why ? I?m just not Kourtney and Khlo,? Kardashian West joked, after posting a video of her Saturday morning exercise session. ?But it?s like, if I don?t Snap it, then it?s as if it never happened. But I work out every single day for over an hour.?

Do you think Kim really works out for more than an hour every day? I do not. Especially since Kim actually looked like she had put on some weight after the holidays. That?s not a criticism or anything – if I had been held at gunpoint and robbed, I would need some comfort food too. But I?m just saying, I don?t think she works out every day. I think she went to Costa Rica to get sucked and tucked, probably.

It’s not been a great run for Mischa Barton as of late. The former O.C. star had a less-than-spectacular time on Dancing with the Stars, comparing the “awful” experience to competing in the Hunger Games. On Thursday, the actress was hospitalized at LA’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. After a night out with friends, celebrating her 31st birthday, Mischa’s neighbors called police after seeing her exhibit unusual behavior. TMZ reported that Mischa, clad only in a white dress shirt and tie, was talking to herself on her backyard deck, falling backward and yelling things like, “Oh my God, it’s over! I feel it, and it’s angry!”
Mischa was admitted to the hospital for mental evaluation. She discovered that someone had slipped a dose of GHB, also known as the “date rape drug” into one of her drinks. Her erratic behavior apparently stemmed from the drug. After her release from the hospital, Mischa released a statement to People Magazine, sharing her story. She told the magazine:
On the evening of the 25th, I went out with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. While having drinks, I realized that something was not right as my behavior was becoming erratic and continued to intensify over the next several hours.
I voluntarily went to get professional help, and I was informed by their staff that I had been given GHB. After an overnight stay, I am home and doing well. I would like to extend a big thanks of gratitude to the professionals at Cedars-Sinai for their great care and professionalism. This is a lesson to all young women out there, be aware of your surroundings.

I didn’t know dosing drinks was still happening and I feel bad for Mischa. She just wanted to celebrate her birthday with her friends. It’s admirable she shared her story to warn ladies that this still does happen, and that it can happen to anyone. Of course, Mischa has had some mental issues in the past, telling People she has a “full-on breakdown” in 2009 that resulted on her being admitted to the Cedars psychiatric ward on a 5150 involuntary hold. If she is having true problems again, I hope she gets the help she needs. If nothing else, let’s hope the rest of her year gets better.
