They?re ?literally? obsessed with each other? So obsessed that they can go two full months half a world away? by choice. It?s not like they?re being separated by crazy work schedules. Kanye just prefers to be in Paris with his dude friends while Kim prefers to be in LA with her family. And NO Scott did not buy a ?bachelor pad,? he bought a place which is perfect for bachelors which he?s going to live in and renovate away from his family? Kim is ridiculous.
Oh, and she also took a moment on NYE to shill for Kanye?s song ?Only One? featuring Paul McCartney. She wrote: ?Everyone asks me what my favorite Kanye song is. It’s Only One. Kanye felt like his mom was singing thru him to our daughter. This song makes me cry every time I hear it. He releases it at midnight tonight on iTunes. “Only One” by Kanye West Featuring Paul McCartney.? And that was the point of all of this. Kim was just selling us Kanye?s new song.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a self-made woman! She pulled herself up by the bootstraps and worked her family connections to the bone. You have no idea how hard she worked to make a name for herself. And by ?name? I mean ?telling people she was the daughter of Bruce Paltrow and Blythe Danner.? What?s hilarious (to me, at least) is we?re getting all of these new Goop interviews because she?s promoting that terrible-looking Mortdecai, which comes out in a few weeks. Gwyneth tries so hard to only align herself with the crme de la crme, the most elite, and here she is carrying the bulk of the publicity for a hideous-looking Johnny Depp film that no one wanted. So, apparently, Gwyneth covers the new issue of Marie Claire. We don?t have the cover yet or anything, but Page Six has some interview excerpts and they?re priceless.
Consciously uncoupled Gwyneth Paltrow called herself ?misunderstood? in a recent interview ? and dropped an F-bomb while describing her relationship with rock star Chris Martin.
?We?ve worked really f-?-king hard to get to [this] point,? she said of rebuilding a relationship with the Coldplay frontman and father of her two children. ?But we?re very, very close, and it?s so nice,? the Oscar-winning actress and lifestyle guru told Marie Claire. Paltrow and Martin even spent Thanksgiving with the kids, Apple and Moses.
?I feel like it?s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have,? she said.
Paltrow, who is co-starring with Johnny Depp in the upcoming comedy ?Mortdecai,? hopes her kids will be ?more whole and happier? because of how they?ve handled the divorce, she said weepily. As for why her 10-year marriage officially went up in smoke, she insisted that ?there was nothing dramatic.?
?I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn?t do it anymore, and I really had the sense that I wasn?t allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall,? she said.
The ?Shakespeare in Love? star has been put down for trying to be too perfect and for sharing out-of-touch thoughts with the public ? but she says she is just ?misunderstood? sometimes.
?Look, one of the disadvantages of having been famous for so long is I?ve said some stupid things,? she explained. ?But when words are put into my mouth, those are the situations I feel aren?t quite fair.?
She also distanced herself from the much-maligned phrase ?conscious uncoupling,? which she was teased for using to describe her divorce.
?You can make fun of the term or whatever,? Paltrow said. ?I didn?t invent it.?

Oh, Gwyneth sounds a bit touchy in this interview, doesn?t she? Let?s unpack it. First of all, I don?t really have a problem with what she says about Chris or their relationship. I think they?re still very close and they really have worked hard on keeping everything peaceful and respectful for their kids. As for the ?conscious uncoupling? thing ? true, she didn?t ?invent it?. But she certainly brought it to the forefront and yes, people teased her about it. As they should.
Gwyneth admits she?s ?said some stupid things? but makes it sound like those stupid things happened when she was a lot younger. Nevermind the fact that she literally JUST SAID she was a self-made woman. And no, that?s not ?putting words into her mouth.? She really says stupid crap all the time. Peasants just don?t understand though.
As for her statement about ?trying to be all things to all people,? I feel like that?s a dog whistle for peasant mothers. Gwyneth is trying to say that she?s the same as you, that she struggles to raise her children and be a supportive wife and often she found no time for herself. I believe that she stayed in her marriage because she thought ?divorce is not an option? and because she truly thought supporting Chris?s every move would be enough. But let?s not not kid ourselves, Gwyneth always had time to look out for Gwyneth. Gwyneth always finds the time to get hers.
Oh, last story ? In Touch Weekly says that Gwyneth was ? GASP!!!!! ? discount shopping recently. A ?witness? told In Touch that Goop was ?at a Marshalls discount store? She was just browsing alone.? A Marshall?s??? How gauche.

So? no more daily yoga poses AND she?s expecting her second baby with husband Alec Baldwin??? For a second I was like ?Wait, didn?t she just give birth to Gabriella?? But it was back in 2013. Carmen Gabriella is 16 months old and already walking. Is anyone a little bit surprised that Hilaria got pregnant again? I mean, the first baby didn?t surprise me ? Hilaria is very young (she?s 30) but Alec is 56 and has an adult daughter already. I guess Alec and Hilaria?s marriage is stronger than we originally thought. Either that or? God knows. I still suspect that Alec loses his mind at least once a month and screams obscenities at Carmen Gabriella (I just have this image of Alec turning beet red and telling a baby to f?k off for some reason).
Anyway? congrats to Alec and Hilaria. Maybe this one will be a boy?

Back in October, we learned about one of the most random couples of the year: Josh Groban and Kat Dennings. To their credit, there wasn?t any drama or homewrecking or arson involved in their meet-cute. They?re close in age (he?s 33, she?s 28) and neither has been married before. Also to their credit, they made their red carpet debut pretty soon after they started going out: we found our they were a couple when they walked a red carpet for a charity event together. It was nice.
Anyway, these are some photos of Kat and Josh walking around New York on New Year?s Eve. My first reaction to them as a couple was ?weirdness? but they?re sort of growing on me. He seems dorky and sweet and she?s pretty and witty. They?ve made it three months together. What do you think? I?m getting a vibe like everything makes sense for them. I see marriage and babies. Either that or they?ll break up in the next month. Who knows?
Also: I?ll give him this, he looks much sexier with a beard and glasses. I usually think he?s got that baby-faced vanilla look, but with the beard and glasses? yeah, I would give him a once-over.

Selena Gomez took a break from being a mess stateside and headed overseas for the holidays. She and a group of friends, including Kendall Jenner (I guess they made up after the Swaggy drama), have been Instagramming their holiday in Dubai. They all attended some New Year’s Eve club event and had plenty of time for sightseeing.
Selena and friends headed to Abu Dhabi’s Grand Mosque. Of course both of Selena and Kendall Instagrammed the visit. Because some celebrities can’t visit a place without posting proof. Likewise, Eli Mizrahi posted the above photo of himself with Selena. He deleted the picture (and locked his account) after people took issue with Selena’s ankle flash. Some outlets are claiming Selena posted and deleted the photo, but Selena left the group photos (with another ankle flash) up, so who knows.
What we have here is a group of starlets (and a couple of dudes) who are acting like teenage tourists. They smiled, threw their hands up, and made “fierce” faces at a sacred place. Most of them dressed according to custom, but there’s a fair amount of insensitivity in these photos. I don’t know if Selena purposely flashed her ankle as a sign of disrespect … she’s really pushing it out there in the top photo. My guess: Selena and her friends didn’t bother reading up on guidelines before their visit. Yes, it’s rude.
These pictures are similar to when Rihanna pose-harded outside the same place of worship. Rihanna drew so much attention during her sultry photo session that she was asked to leave the mosque. Selena and her buddies weren’t kicked out because no one noticed them. Thanks to social media, their adventures are now immortalized for the ages.

We haven’t seen Johnny Depp in months, ever since he got handsy with a microphone during a drunken HFAs speech. I did see a picture of him with Amber Heard at his children’s school a week later. Some Depp supporters were shipping the photos as new, but it could have been an older photo. We heard that Amber was allegedly “mortified“ at Johnny’s behavior at the HFAs. I find it telling that she didn’t attend the event with him, but maybe she was working (on a Friday night).
Depp was notably missing at the Into the Woods premiere. Some people thought it was no big deal because Johnny only appeared in the film (as The Big Bad Wolf) for a few minutes. But he was a big part of the movie’s marketing. He earned $1 million for less than a week of work. Is that enough money to appear at a premiere?
For whatever reason, Johnny’s disappeared from the public eye. People published an article about how he and Amber were “cooling off” because of “turmoil” in the relationship. Another story quickly followed from Us Weekly, which said Amber was rethinking the wedding because of Johnny’s “erratic behavior” and “awful mood swings.”
A newish story from last week’s Enquirer (apologies – it got lost in the holiday shuffle) talks about how Johnny’s been doing some at-home rehab. There’s some weird stuff about Amber hiding in a bathroom from drunk Johnny. This story may not be true for reasons I’ll discuss in a moment:
After falling off the wagon with a thud, Johnny Depp is trying to kick booze with an at-home rehab program, sources have told the National Enquirer.
It’s understood Depp, 51, started treatment when family members and finance Amber Heard demanded he get help after his boozy speech at the Hollywood Film Awards on Nov. 14. The rehab stint forced Depp to miss the NYC permiere of his new film, Into the Woods on Dec. 8, according to a top Hollywood insider.
Depp’s absence “raised a lot of questions,” the source told The Enquirer. “People were discreetly told that Johnny is relying on professionals to help him get throught his fight in private.”
According to another insider, “The decision was motivated at least in part by concerns over Johnny’s privacy. Having caregivers come to him eliminates the risk of fellow patients or clinic staff spilling the beans about his treatment.”
Depp first got sober after filming 2011?s Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides,” said the insider. “During filming, Johnny would drink a whole bottle of Spanish red wine almost every day.”
“After realizing her clearly had an issue, Johnny would often be seen traveling with a companion to help ‘encourage’ his sobriety.”
Although Depp denies ever being an alcoholic, in a 2013 interview he claimed he’d been sober for 18 months. He split from his longtime love, Vanessa Paradis, mother of their two children, in 2012, and got engaged to Amber in 2014.
As The Enquirer has reported, Vanessa blames Amber for what she’s called Johnny’s “mid-life crisis.” “Amber broke his sobriety a bit, but she isn’t necessarily a bad influence. She’s not a party girl, whatsoever,” said an insider. “But Johnny being Johnny, he couldn’t have just one.”
Another insider added: “Johnny’s problem has always been his issue with moderation. Once he starts drinking, it’s as if he can’t stop. Things got bad one time and Amber locked herself in the bathroom for hours waiting for him to sober up.”
After Depp’s embarrassing display at the HFAs, “Amber and family members asked him to get help,” the insider said. “She’s deadly serious about walking away unless he cleans up his act.”

I don’t know how true this story is because The Enquirer likes to make stuff up about Johnny. Last month, they wrote some fan fiction about how Vanessa Paradis was mad at Amber for causing Johnny’s boozing. It sounds like The Enquirer took a little kernel of truth — Johnny being MIA — and turned into a home rehab story. Johnny may simply have decided he “doesn’t give a f***“ and wants to hang at home. Or maybe his team convinced him to get sober. Who knows what’s going on behind all those scarves and ratty hats.
Johnny does look sober-ish in some recent photos from the set of his latest movie, Yoga Posers. He’s wearing a heavy disguise, as per usual, so it’s hard to tell.
A new TV clip for Mortdecai surfaced last week. Johnny and Goop kiss each other and gag.

A few days ago, I covered Kaley Cuoco?s Redbook interview – go here to read the original post. Over the course of the interview, Kaley was asked if she self-identifies as a feminist. A lot of you are tired of actresses getting this question. I am not. I actually like the fact that so many prominent women in the public eye are talking about feminism and being asked about it. It might be the ?trend? or whatever, but I find feminism questions more interesting than questions about hair, diet and makeup. And just FYI, for all of the people crying double-standard: lots of men are being asked about feminism these days too. Anyway, when Kaley was asked ?Are you a feminist?? this was her reply:
?Is it bad if I say no? It?s not really something I think about. Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around? I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that?s because I?ve never really faced inequality. I cook for Ryan five nights a week: It makes me feel like a housewife; I love that. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I?m so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off.?

While that?s not the most ignorant thing I?ve ever heard, it?s still not the position I would expect from a 29-year-old woman who has worked in an industry that has historically been very, very harsh for women. At best, she sounds Pollyanna. At worst, she sounds like a vapid fool. Well, Kaley took to her Instagram to ?correct the record?. And I?m not sure what she?s really trying to say here?
In my Redbook article, some people have taken offense to my comments regarding feminism- if any of you are In the “biz” you are well aware of how words can be taken out of context. I’m completely blessed and grateful that strong women have paved the way for my success along with many others. I apologize if anyone was offended. Anyone that truly knows me, knows my heart and knows what I meant.

We just think she sounds stupid, and her non-apology, half-excuse of ?I was sort of misquoted but I?m still not really going to explain how I was misquoted but if you know me, you totally understand, right?? is actually the offensive part.
