Kesha has a makeup line called Kesha Rose, which Im just hearing about now. You can see the products here. Shes got a colorful eye makeup palette, lipstick and gloss and liquid eyeliner. It looks like the lipstick only comes in one shade, which is weird to me, but thats cool that she has a line out. The prices are mid-level and somewhat competitive with other celebrity lines. I consider them high end at $36 for an eyeshadow palette, but many of you have schooled me that this is mid-priced. To promote it, Kesha did an interview with Refinery 29 (thanks Socialite Life for featuring this) which they wrote as a first-person essay, all about how shes doing self care in lockdown. I liked how open she was about her mental health. Some of her self-care activities are common things we do, like face masks and baths, but I still enjoyed reading this. Heres some of what she said:
I am trying to think of the silver lining. When you are forced to stay home, how can you make it as positive as possible? I am very, very lucky I am healthy, and I just try to come back to gratitude ? even when I feel like Im going crazy. I am trying to stay motivated to create, but there are some days where making it through the day is accomplishment enough.
I am normally too exhausted after my day to do a full skin-care routine, but now a bubble bath with a Lush bath bomb and a collagen sheet mask is one of my favorite activities. I got this ice roller I love, as well as a micro-needling roller; I use that and then apply moisturizer on top.
I was at CVS Pharmacy recently getting essentials and I saw mens beard dye and I thought, Ill put it on my eyebrows. It makes them really dark and wild-looking. Its something that I discovered in quarantine, and its the first time Ive done it on myself.
There are also these butt masks called Bawdy that I have been using, too. It helps having someone put it on your butt, so thats another perk of being quarantined with my boyfriend. Its one of those things that, at the end of the night, brings me happiness.
Some days I just stay in sweatpants, and other days I wake up and think, I?m going to do my eyebrows and put on a little makeup and just feel really cute. I?ve realized that doing my makeup can be transformative for my mood. Its not about looking beautiful; its more about feeling confident to face the day.

My mom taught me the trick of using Just For Men beard dye on my eyebrows and she still does this. Once, once day before going on a first date, I left the beard dye on my eyebrows for too long and I looked like Groucho Marx! (Im blonde though and bought light brown. Kesha has dark hair now.) I called my colorist in a panic and he gave me this powder to take the dye out and told me he could just dye my eyebrows at the same time as my hair next time. Now that I dye my hair at home I put the hair dye on my eyebrows for the same amount of time. I know some of you are going to tell me I shouldnt do this, but its been working for me. Pulling out all my gray eyebrow hairs is not an option!
Ive never heard of butt masks! Sephora has the actual butt sheet masks she mentions, but couldnt you just put a detoxifying/anti-oil type mask on your butt too? I never cared enough about that area to consider this. Some people deal with butt acne though so I can see how its a thing.

Kylie Jenner celebrated Mother?s Day on Sunday, like millions of moms around the country. She took photos of and with her baby, she chilled out in quarantine and she had a nice cake. The cake was, according to Kylie, made from ?olive oil,? which is apparently a thing that exists. Basically, you?re using olive oil as a replacement for butter in a cake recipe, although it?s a bit more complicated than that. Kylie?s olive oil cake looks like something that came from a specialty bakery, so either she ordered it for herself as a Mother?s Day treat, or someone sent it to her (perhaps Travis Scott, perhaps her mom, who knows).
The point is that Kylie enjoys some cake, so she cut herself a small slice from the circular cake. And when I say ?small slice,? I mean that she didn?t start at the center of the cake and pull the knife down, then cut a proportional ?slice? like one would do with a pizza. No. Kylie?s slice didn?t go to the center of the cake, and it just throws off the proportions:
I would do this if I had a cake all to myself and no one was going to watch me consume it or cut into it. Like, it?s my cake and I?ll cut how I want, and maybe Kylie didn?t feel like having a full slice. The problem was that she posted it on social media and people were calling her a psychopath for the way she cuts cake. There were OCD peeps crying about how she was stressing them out. People yelled at her online. So Kylie decided to troll all the haters and she cut a small circle off to the side on the cake. OH GOD.

This ^ is how I imagine Chrissy Teigen swanning back onto Twitter after 72 hours of shenanigans which left her deleting offensive old tweets about black children and temporarily making her Twitter account private after she was called out on her bullsh-t. There will always be people who like Teigen no matter what, and I get that. But I never have. I also don?t think it?s a good sign that her moment of self-reflection was so brief, nor do I think it?s a good sign that her Trump-like itchy Twitter fingers couldn?t wait to go back online.
To recap, chef Alison Roman did some white-lady hipster gatekeeping and called Chrissy a sellout. Chrissy then released a statement, only to be called out by other Twitter peeps about all of the times she?s bullied people and talked sh-t about children and teenagers. Chrissy made her Twitter private? for about 24 hours. She?s already back. She released a new statement about the Alison Roman situation and what she (Chrissy) has learned from this ordeal. She did that in response to a statement made by Roman, below:

One of the gossip stories which always stuck with me and changed how I perceive certain celebrities was all of the stuff around Molly Bloom, the woman who ran an underground poker game for celebrities and A-listers in LA. Bloom had a lot to say about Tobey Maguire who was a big reason why Bloom hosted the poker games and all of Tobey?s friends, including Leonardo DiCaprio and others. But the worst stories were always about Tobey Maguire and how he was (and is) a giant ahole, a controlling, money-obsessed douchebag.
Although Tobey was married for a decade to Jennifer Meyer, he remained part of Leo?s P-ssy Posse all that time. Leo and Tobey are especially close, and I?ve even heard stories about Leo being close to Tobey?s kids. I have to imagine that Leo was probably pretty happy when Tobey and Jennifer split up in 2016, even if Jennifer was pretty popular within that crew of bros as well. But finally, Tobey and Leo would get to hit up all the clubs together, and the P-ssy Posse had new energy!
Well, yeah. That happened. Tobey eventually started dating Tatiana Dieteman in 2018. They?ve apparently (??) been together ever since. They stepped out in LA over the weekend for a walk/pap stroll. She?s allegedly 27 years old but she looks younger than that. Tobey is 44 years old. Leo would tell Tobey that rules are rules, and this woman is over the age of 25 and it?s time to wind that sh-t down. But I get the feeling that Tobey doesn?t have to follow Leo?s rules. The power structure within the Posse will never fail to be fascinating to me. Leo is clearly the ?king? of the Posse, but I suspect Tobey is the power behind the throne.
