Keeping a low profile as of late, Jessica Alba was spotted arriving at her office in Santa Monica on Thursday (August 27).
Joined by her husband, Cash Warren, the “Sin City” sweetheart and her man grabbed a security staffer as an escort as they strolled past paparazzi perched out nearby.
On a career note, Miss Alba has been busily filming away – as she’s currently working on the new Robert Rodriguez flick called “Machete”.
Also starring Robert DeNiro and Lindsay Lohan, the crime thriller is about “an ex-Federale who launches a brutal rampage of revenge against his former boss after being betrayed by the organization.”
Miss Alba has also recently filmed small roles in both “Valentine’s Day” and “The Killer Inside Me”.

Shooting to stardom with her family’s E! reality series, Kim Kardashian is ready to try her hand as executive producer for a new reality show of her own making.
Based on public relations, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” cutie has been working on a series which follows her PR pals Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck - which is slated to debut next year.
Talking about the new job tasks, Kim said that the behind the scenes role “is the next step in my career. I’ve always wanted to get into producing. After my reality TV show is done, the next step is producing. I definitely see myself in the producing chair.”
“I’ve definitely seen the ins and outs of reality TV. I definitely love reality TV shows. It’s something I’m passionate about,” the 28-year-old adds.
Giving a little inside info on the show, Miss Kardashian tells, “It’ll show all the ins-and-outs or PR. It’s going to be really fun. It’ll show how there’s lots of drama and crisis in the PR world.”
“Every week we’ll have a different celebrity and a different crisis and drama. The great thing about Jonathan and Simon is that they focus on corporate PR and building brands; they don’t represent any individuals, so they see the bigger picture. They see how to make a celebrity into a brand. I’ve seen so many things go so close to going wrong, and then they fix everything.”

It could be a sex thing, for all we know. It seems George Clooney broke his hand a few weeks ago, and rumors have been swirling that it was all part of some kind of motorcycle accident in Switzerland, which is a really random story to float. Clooney?s spokesperson confirmed the broken hand to People Magazine, but the spokesperson corrects the record on how exactly the hand got damaged. The official reason is ?he shut the car door on his hand.? Mm-hm. My honest-to-God first thought when I saw the words ?George Clooney broken hand? were ?sex thing? Italian hookers? he likes it rough.? I thought these dirty, dirty thoughts because I?m a pervert. But so is Clooney. That?s why I?m not buying the ?car door? explanation. You know there was some filthy, pornographic, nasty, crazy orgy stuff going on in that house:
Good thing he wears a helmet! Now George Clooney just needs some sporty gloves to match as the handsome actor has broken his hand in a car accident of sorts, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
According to European media reports, Clooney was riding his Harley Davidson around Lake Lugano, at the border of Italy and Switzerland, with current squeeze Elisabetta Canalis when the accident occurred a couple weeks ago. His rep, however, tells PEOPLE what really happened.
“There was an accident and he did break his hand,” Clooney’s rep Stan Rosenfield said Thursday. “He was not riding a motorcycle, it was not in Switzerland … He was on his property in Italy and he shut the car door on his hand.”
Clooney, 49, was treated at the private Ars Medica clinic in Gravesano, Switzerland, which is about a 40-minute drive from Lake Como, Italy, where Clooney owns a home. “The doctor has given him 30-40 years more to live, and no live animals were harmed during the wrapping of the hand,” Rosenfield quipped.
Nearly two years ago Clooney, 49, and his then-girlfriend Sarah Larson were both treated after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car in New Jersey. At the time, the actor suffered a hairline fracture of a rib and road rash, while Larson suffered a broken foot.

Paris Hilton constantly laments the media’s negative portrayal of her and frequently insists that her public persona is merely a character concocted by the world’s greatest thespian. As everyone knows, that is a lie. The vapidness and selfishness you see in public is the same vapidness and selfishness you get in private. Case in point: Her gift to boyfriend Doug Reinhardt.
Before jet-setting to Vancouver, Paris had her team pay a visit to D.R.’s house, bringing over life-size photos of herself to hang throughout the mansion. And we don’t exactly think she got Dougie’s permission! Talk about an extreme home makeover.
Certainly not entirely self-minded, P.H. managed to frame a few pictures of the two of them as well, hamming it up for the camera in all sorts of ridiculous kissy-kissy poses. Paris can’t walk past a mirror without falling in love so this isn’t a surprise. If Paris was a wild animal and you were tasked to track and shoot her, your camouflage would be a shiny suit. No, the real surprise is that these pictures weren’t pop-up like the books she’s used to reading. Interestingly enough, the first time Paris ever saw a normal picture, she asked, “So, like, do I need one of those 3D glasses or something?” True story.

Moving along in her pregnancy, Kourtney Kardashian got together with Kendra Wilkinson for a baby bump photoshoot, where Kourtney announced that she doesn’t know yet if she will choose to know the sex of her baby.
The 5-months-pregnant Kardashian sister said, “I’ll probably find out, but I haven’t decided for sure.”
She also hasn’t decided what to name the baby, but father of the baby, Scott Dissick’s parents are trying to help out the couple.
“I don’t have any names that I’m crazy about yet,” she says. “I just got a name book that Scott’s parents sent me.”
Girl’s Next Door star, Kendra Wilkinson, had a scary bump in the road during her pregnancy. Before finding the baby’s sex, the doctor said her baby may have “heart problems.”
“There was a skipped beat,” explained Wilkinson. “The gender was the last thing on my mind. Thankfully, [the doctor said] he has a normal heart! That’s when we cried. And all of a sudden..a penis!”

George Clooney may have broken his hand, but his rep says it was not from his motorcycle!
Reports claimed that the actor was cruising on his Harley Davidson around Lake Lugano alongside Elisabetta Canalis when an accident happened. But Clooney’s rep is filling everyone in with the truth.

Getting a dose of negative feedback, Madonna endured a solid booing while performing in Bucharest , Romania last night.
While onstage, the Material Girl told her views on discrimination in Eastern Europe, where anti-Gypsy (or Roma as they’re known there) behavior is common.
During the concert, Madge told 60,000 concertgoers her thoughts about how discrimination made her “very sad, especially because we don’t believe in discrimination against anyone.”
Despite the poor reaction, Madonna continued on - hoping to try and get through to the crowd, saying,”We believe in equal rights for everyone, right? Gypsies, homosexuals, people who are different; everyone is equal and should be treated with respect, OK? Let’s not forget that.”

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards are getting ready for the big night on September 13th.
Playing a big role, Beyonc is also getting ready for the event, as she’s nominated for an enormous number of nine Moonmen- but that’s not all.
On top of already receiving nine nominations, the singer will be performing on stage during the course of the evening.
Beyonc will be performing “Sweet Dreams,” her latest single, joining husband Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink and Muse, who are all on the list to perform.
This is the third time Beyonc will be a VMA performer, as she sang back in 2003 and again in 2006.

Joined by co-star George Lopez, the former “That 70’s Show” star hammed it up for the cameras as he chatted with Lopez on a local bridge.
Keeping fans in the know, Kutcher hit up his Twitter account, simply tweeting, “Working with my man @Georgelopez today.”
Also getting a bit philosophical, Ashton previously tossed out a question to his faithful followers, writing, “and a thought to sleep on.... How do you know that you know the stuff you think you know?”

Last week, Jaybird covered an early excerpt from Claire Danes? interview with BlackBook Magazine. The excerpt seemed to show Claire in an unpleasant light as she waxed philosophical about how ?we just can?t shake monogamy? It definitely demands a kind of rigor and discipline and selflessness.? Coming from the young woman who dumped Ben Lee to have an affair/relationship with Billy Crudup (who was with the then-seven-months pregnant Mary Louise Parker) and then dump/cheat on Billy for current squeeze/fiance Hugh Dancy, well, it all seemed a bit rich. And by ?rich? I mean ?hypocritical asinine bullsh-t?. It gets worse, though. Because now the complete interview is out, and Claire seems so far stuck up her own ass, she?s giving Dame Gwyneth Paltrow a run for her goopiness.
Claire answers questions about her relationship with Billy Crudup, and she uses words like ?choice? and ?integrity?. She whines about how the controversy that relationship caused was ?unavoidable?. As in, she couldn’t avoid his wang? When she tries to explain how she feels knowing Hugh Dancy is The One, she says ?I can apply myself in other ways now. I have more time and energy to get sh-t done.? Because her schedule was so grueling what with all the homewrecking? What? Too much? Here?s more from the interview:
Anyone versed in tabloid culture knows the strength of will she had to summon to endure the scrutiny she came under when Billy Crudup left a seven-months pregnant Mary-Louise Parker for Danes. The pair began dating after they met on the set of 2004?s Stage Beauty. ?That was a choice I made to fall in love. It?s unpleasant to be cast in such an unflattering role, but I just had to remain steadfast,? she recalls, her body language going into self-protection mode with an arm cradling her hunched-over frame and crossed legs.
?I was living with the same kind of integrity that I had always lived with. As a public person you?re serving a certain function, and you?re a canvas for people to project their own hopes and fears onto, so you do have to perform a kind of mental trick and distance yourself from it. But there are times of weakness in which you wonder if what they wrote is relevant to you or representative of you.?
How much of that has stayed with her? ?Not very much. I never really took too much of it on. It?s nice not to be ridiculed?nobody wants that?but it?s also unavoidable. Everyone gets the stick.? But all the rumors now seem a distant memory for Danes, who is set to wed British actor Hugh Dancy, whom she met on the set of Evening in 2006. The pair will exchange their vows in mid-September in a ceremony to be held in France.
While she?s had several serious relationships in the past?she dated Australian indie-pop star Ben Lee for six years and was with Crudup for two, just prior to Dancy?marriage, she says, was never something for which she yearned. ?I?ve always wanted to be in a partnership, I?ve always wanted to have that kind of intimacy and collaborate with someone in such a deep way. But I think that can be achieved in a lot of ways. I was talking to my friend recently about monogamy?is it feasible, is it realistic? I resolved that there isn?t really a better model. We just can?t shake monogamy. It definitely demands a kind of rigor and discipline and selflessness. But it?s also fun.?
Particularly when you?ve got a former Burberry model in your bed. ?He?s such a cutie patootie,? she says about her fianc, a twinkle in her bright green eyes. ?Sometimes I forget just how good-looking he is.?
When asked how she knew Dancy was the one, Danes hesitates. ?I?m going into dangerous territory,? she says, and then relents, proceeding with caution. ?While relationships are work, this just didn?t feel like it. It?s the kind of work that feels energizing rather than enervating.?
?There?s that pledge, and people talk about it being claustrophobic but I find it the opposite. I find it very freeing to know that, okay, it takes constant nurturing and attention, but I can also stop looking for the one?that?s established. I can apply myself in other ways now. I have more time and energy to get sh-t done.?
For her wedding day, she turned to Narciso Rodriguez. She describes the process as ?surprisingly emotional. I?ve known Narciso since I was 16, and he?s made a lot of dresses with?and for?me. So it?s really special that this time it?s the dress.?

What?s strange is that the part that pissed me off the most was when she describes asking renowned fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez to make her wedding dress. Claire says: ?He?s made a lot of dresses with?and for?me.? With you? Bitch, please. He made dresses for you, and you didn?t even look that good in them. While I had always been on Team Mary Louise Parker, I had generally given Claire a pass, favoring to just hate on Billy Crudup. But now I get it. Claire is just as bad. And then some.

And not because he was once attracted to Anne Heche. Coley Laffoon manned up despite his unfortunate name and responded to Anne Heche’s verbal lashing on Wednesday’s Late Show With David Letterman. In response to being called a “lazy ass”, he tells Us,
“After coming home from showing two different clients two different condominiums, I was disturbed to see Anne taking out her personal frustration on the father of her child on national television.”
He also posted on Facebook, “I wish Anne Heche could see that public bullying isn’t good for the soul or positive for her child. It’s mean.”

And though she has the enviable position of working opposite Penn Badgley (her character has a thing for him), Miss Duff says it’s all strictly friendly.
Hilary told press, “I’ve known him for a few years. We lived in the same neighborhood in LA growing up. And they’re wonderful!” adding “Blake (Lively, Penn’s real-life girlfriend) has been so sweet to me.”
Duff also commented on working with fellow guest star Tyra Banks, saying, “I love her. I’ve done her show so many times. It was exciting and fun to work with her in a different atmosphere.”

Earlier this morning, CB did some great, intensive coverage of Anne Heche?s appearance on The Late Show last night. Anne was? well, crazy. Let?s go with that. She called her ex-husband Coley Laffoon a ?lazy ass? and said that she waited to have a baby with James Tupper, the man she began ?dating? when she was still married to Coley, ?until I met a man that deserved having a baby. And I met James Tupper and I just thought he was such a wonderful dad to Homer that he deserved one of his own, you know?? She claimed that all Coley did for a living was ?go out to the mailbox and he opens up the little mailbox door and goes, ‘Oh! I got a check from Anne! Oh! I got a check from Anne! Yay!? CB said it best by calling Heche a ?nasty, bitter, borderline functional person who would like nothing more than to publicly malign her ex husband.? Well done.
Now Anne?s ex Coley is responding. I know I should be on this guy?s side because Anne is such a bitter, ridiculous, whackadoodle headcase, but Coley?s statement to Us Weekly made me laugh. He sounds like a tool. He whines about how he just came home ?from showing two different clients two different condominiums? and he basically calls Anne a big meanie and a bully. Giggle. They?re like children.
Anne Heche’s ex Coley Laffoon is firing back after she called him a “lazy ass” on Wednesday’s Late Show With David Letterman.
“After coming home from showing two different clients two different condominiums, I was disturbed to see Anne taking out her personal frustration on the father of her child on national television,” Laffoon, 35, an employee with Los Angeles real estate company Hilton & Hyland, tells Usmagazine.com in an exclusive statement.
On Letterman, Heche, 40, complained about the $3,700 per month in child support she gives Laffoon for their 7-year-old son, Homer.
“He goes out to the mailbox and he opens up the little mailbox door and goes, ‘Oh! I got a check from Anne! Oh! I got a check from Anne! Yay!’” she sardonically told Letterman.
Laffoon, who filed for divorce in February 2007 after five years of marriage, also responded on his Facebook page, writing: “I wish Anne Heche could see that public bullying isn’t good for the soul or positive for her child. It’s mean.”

Dude? chuckle? okay, he needs to hire a publicist, because that?s a terrible statement. If Coley had wanted to come across as sympathetic, he could (and should) have said something like, ?It?s unfortunate that Anne felt the need to belittle me, but I won?t do the same. Speaking with MTV’s The After Show, Spencer Pratt declared his wife Heidi Montag to be the “new, modern day, 2010 Michael Jackson.” No one knows what that means, of course, including Spencer himself, but upon host Jessi Cruickshank informing him that Michael Jackson is dead, Pratt responded, “Yea, but here it is, it’s living, like the holy spirit. Like, Michael Jackson’s in heaven. The Holy Spirit now has Michael Jackson juice, so boom! For all we know, Heidi gets possessed with Michael Jackson’s divine spirit.”
Oh, I get it. It all makes sense now. Spencer Pratt wants to be punched in the face. This can be arranged. Don’t worry Spence. There’s no need to wave your arms wildly in the air to tell me that I should do it only if it is convenient. It’s no trouble at all.

Sandra Bullock has never been any kind of fashion icon. I think that?s part of the reason women love her - she usually gets something wrong on the red carpet. She?ll put on a beautiful dress, and her hair will be crazy. Or she?ll pair some low-key, romantic dress with rocker-chick, too-heavy makeup. Or she tries to be ?high-fashion? and she just looks ridiculous. Which is what happened at last night?s All About Steve premiere in Hollywood. Take a good look at everything that?s going wrong with Sandra. It?s not just a horrible-looking (and what seems to be a horribly-constructed) dress. It?s the ankle booties that cut off the line of her beautiful, toned legs. It?s the screwed up, too-messy-to-be-classy/not-messy-enough-to-be-high-fashion hair. The topping on the cupcake is that in most of the pictures from last night, Sandra Bullock is posing like a truck driver. She?s such a hot mess, I can?t stop giggling. Bless her heart. She?s one of us.
Of course Bradley Cooper was at the premiere too - but he didn?t bring his new (squinty) girlfriend Renee Zellweger. He walked the carpet solo, when he wasn?t posing with his truck-driver-stanced costar Sandy. He looked incredibly dashing in a dark charcoal three-piece suit with no tie, working slicked-back (greasy?) hair and a little stubble on his face. His look is actually doing it for me, even if he looks more ?stock broker? than ?Hollywood?. Bullock told Radar Online at the premiere that as a producer on the film, she hand-picked Bradley to star with her, saying ?It was important for me to get the actor that I wanted, which was Bradley, which was before The Hangover. So I wanted Bradley the actor who I loved from Wedding Crashers.? She also joked that she kept her figure looking so good with ?Lipo - lots of it - tons of liposuction!?
I keep seeing the ads for this movie, but Bradley and Sandra haven?t been promoting the hell out it with tons of interviews. The only big one I could find from Bullock was this one from Parade. Here are some of the highlights:
On Stalking: “How else do you get dates? I learned that you have to stalk and then make it look very innocent. Then once you get them you sort of shred receipts and you do things that sort of cover the paper trail of your stalking. I think it’s a necessary evil to sort of lure in your prey.”
On the sexism of labeling women ?weird?: “I didn’t want [my All About Steve character] Mary to change. I wanted her to continue being who she was and being okay with it. She didn’t think she was flawed. Society made her feel flawed and question how she lived her life. And let’s not ignore sexism. Why is it that men are called ‘unique’ and ‘eccentric’ and ‘mavericks’ when they’re different, but women are labeled as ‘odd’ or just plain ‘weird?’ It’s about being unconventional and being true to who you are. Not fitting in often means you’re really standing out.”
On the message of rom-coms, and reflections on her career: “If I can do anything in this time of my career, it’s to make it easier for girls who are growing up not to feel they have to wind up with someone to complete them. You know, I complete me. I’m just lucky that after I completed myself, I met someone who could tolerate me. I love good romantic comedies, but there’s more to life than just looking for the right guy.”

There is more to life that looking for the right guy. So why keep making movie after movie about that very thing? Although I will Bullock credit - she infuses many of her romantic comedies with a heavy vein of genuine feminism. Unfortunately, most romantic comedies aren?t produced by Sandy.

It seemed like only yesterday Avril Lavigne, 25, and Deryck Whibley, 29, were spitting at and flipping off the paparazzi. Alas, the honeymoon might be over. Avril has been out as of late partying without the cro-magnon. Not just regular partying either, but having alcohol poured down her throat by strange men partying. Gatecrasher says,
A spy at celebrity eatery Georgica indeed saw Lavigne getting away – but hardly spending any time alone. Instead, says the onlooker, she was partying hard and hanging with a number of male admirers. Only later in the evening did Lavigne get paranoid about what the nearby paparazzi may have captured on film. “She kept running up to the photographers and asking to see the pictures they took,” says one partygoer. (We’ve noticed that those photos have mysteriously disappeared from at least one site on which they were posted.)
Lavigne continued her Saturday night at another Hamptons hot spot, Axe Lounge, where she danced the night – and perhaps her rocky marriage – away.
The time is coming when Avril will be without a partner in crime. Maybe she won’t regret it now, in a week or even a year, but one day she’ll remember back to when they used to spit on photogs. She’ll attempt to recreate that fond memory only to be overcome by sadness mid-spit leaving the accumulated saliva to dribble down her chin while she looks out her rolled down window longingly. Sigh, two middle fingers just don’t seem the same anymore.

In news that I hope no one finds surprising, it seems like Avril Lavigne and her husband of three years Deryck Whibley are having big problems. Side note - I hate both of them for how they spell their names. Back on topic: Gatecrasher is reporting that Avril has been spotted in the Hamptons ?looking anything but married?. Avril has been seen out and about in the company of multiple men, and she seems very concerned about being photographed in any kind of compromising position. Avril and Deryck were married in 2006. Deryck is 29 years old, and Avril turns 25 this September.
Things are about to get “Complicated” for Avril Lavigne and hubby Deryck Whibley. Sources close to the couple, who have been married since 2006, say they’re headed for Splitsville. That seemed apparent when the Canadian songstress was out and about in Southampton last weekend - sans hubby and looking anything but married.
“She wanted to get away from Deryck and have a weekend to herself,” says a source close to the “Sk8er Boi” singer.

One vacationer at the celeb-studded Riviera getaway spilled that she was definitely enjoying the paradise and pina coladas, perhaps a little bit too much.
So what does this mean for Lavigne’s upcoming album, which her Sum 41 husband was supposed to be helping her with?
Industry insiders say that although the two have already worked together on a few tracks for the CD, due out Nov. 17, Lavigne will be going ahead with it solo - just like her weekend in the Hamptons.
Reps for both Lavigne and Whibley didn’t respond to calls for comment.

I could barely care about these people except for the vague schadenfreude I feel because Avril and Deryck have always struck me as two of the biggest bratty, snotty, entitled poseurs ever. That being said, there have been rumors about Avril and Deryck for a while - as Avril parties without her husband constantly - and thus far they?ve been able to weather the storm. So is this report just another in a long line of dumb gossip about dumb people? Meh. It makes me happy to think that Avril is having a bad day.

One friend told her: “We were at a party when you were out of town and I ran into Tony. We were friendly, just talking. But the more he drank, the more friendly he got. Finally, he said, ‘You know, you and I should get together - Jessica doesn’t need to find out!’”
Others said Tony would get “all grabby and kissy-face,” but they’d push him away.
The girls never told Jessica, knowing she’d “kill the messenger?or confront Tony, who’d swear the girls were hitting on him, and a stupid war would start,” said the friend.

I was totally in love with a guy like this once. I mean, this guy was like my soul mate (in my mind) but he had a thing about flirting with my friends, and he even crossed the line with one of my roommates. It totally sucked - it destroyed both the friendship and the quasi-relationship I had with the guy. They say hell hath no fury like a woman’s scorn, and Anne Heche seemed to prove that statement during her interview on “The Late Show with David Letterman” last night (August 26).
The “Six Days and Seven Nights” actress was asked a question about her ex-husband Coley Laffoon, and she didn’t spare any of the details concerning her opinion of him.
Heche quipped, “Can you say ‘lazy a**’ on TV?” followed by, “No, no, no. That’s terrible.” And she was just getting started.
As for what Laffoon does for a living, Anne speculated, “He goes out to the mailbox and he opens up the little mailbox door and goes, ‘Oh! I got a check from Anne! Oh! I got a check from Anne! Yay!’ “
She continued, “I think he wants to coach soccer right about now. It’s funny because you can’t quite let go of the ex. He wants me to come and watch him run around in his little white shorts playing soccer. Honestly, I don’t want to come to rehearsal and watch you run around in your tight shorts like trying to pretend you know how to play soccer. I divorced you!
