| Brad Pitt: 'Trump represents a much bigger threat on such more serious issues' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Brad Pitt is still a winemaker. I think about that sometimes. I don?t even think that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt leased/bought the Chateau Miraval with the intention of becoming master winemakers. But that?s what happened. They began to use the Miraval vineyards and they slowly worked out a process for a ros, and lo and behold, the Miraval ros is now an award-winning, sought-after wine. So as Brad Pitt has been doing press around Ad Astra, he ended up chatting with the French newspaper Journal du Dimanche. They discussed the Miraval wine and whether sales could be affected by a potential Trump tariff on French wine.
Brad Pitt has his concerns about President Donald Trump. In a new interview with French newspaper Journal du Dimanche, the Ad Astra actor ? who also owns a French vineyard with ex Angelina Jolie ? was asked his feelings about a tariff Trump has publicly considered imposing on French wine.
?I do not know,? Pitt said, noting that he didn?t ?know enough? about the issue.
?I think we will always drink ros in the United States,? he said, adding that ultimately, whether or not Trump does impose tariffs on French wine, there are much bigger issues at stake. ?Unfortunately, it?s almost anecdotal. Trump represents a much bigger threat on such more serious issues.?
Pitt and Jolie bought the Miraval Estate in Provence in 2012, and despite their split, they remain committed to their winemaking. Chateau Miraval?s award-winning line of wines includes its signature ros which they have been selling since 2013, and was ranked as one of the top wines in the world. (Trump also has a winery in Charlottesville, Virginia.)
[From People]
Yeah, I think that?s how many people feel about Trump?s trade wars and tariffs and threats and bullying like, it?s all kind of insane, but he?s doing SO MANY insane things that even expending the brain power to care about a potential French wine tariff just seems like a waste. There are literally babies in cages on the border. There are literally white supremacists, inspired by Trump, shooting up Walmarts. There are literally a dumpsters worth of impeachable offenses. Besides all that? it?s not like the Chateau Miraval is some gigantic wine producer. Their sales are international, for sure, but they?re basically just above ?boutique wine.? My point is that a tariff on French wine wouldn?t make that big of a difference. And Brad is right, Americans still love ros. If I was still drinking, ros is basically the only wine I could handle (the sickest I?ve ever been is ?drunk on Cab Sav?).

| Kate Upton on people calling her fat early in her career: 'the conversation has changed' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kate Upton visited Kelly Clarksons talk show to promote her new fitness app, Strong4Me. Kate gave birth to her first child, Genevieve, in November, and as Porsha Williams did over the summer, called out the unrealistic expectations and pressures around postpartum bodies. Kate also talked about the unretouched photos from her Health magazine photoshoot and what they meant to her.:
On her unretouched Health Magazine photos
It was really important for me to do this because on Instagram we see people photoshopping everything. When you?re scrolling you constantly compare yourself to these other people. I wanted us to take a step back and show a real moment of someone who is six months postpartum, is not being photoshopped and be that real person and real influence to other people.
Why are we comparing our bodies postpartum to all these photoshopped [pictures]. We should be admiring our bodies that we even created life. Give ourselves a little bit more time to bounce back. We don?t need to give ourselves two months.
On people saying she?s ?too curvy?
When it was first happening it was really hard. I was like ?I work out everything, why is everyone calling me fat?? Now the conversation has completely changed. That just shows how the industry is changing, how our voice matters and things can change. We mean something.
[From The Kelly Clarkson show on YouTube]
Looking at those earlier pictures of Kate, Im with Kelly, and am incredulous that anybody would have called her too curvy or fat. Its deeply disturbing to me, not only because its cruel, but because it speaks to an incredibly warped perception of bodies that I do not know how to quite wrap my head around. I know that expectations of models bodies are different than the expectations of other peoples bodies, but still. Is the industry actually changing as much as Kate seems to think it is, though? Is that where a lot of these conversations are happening, or are they happening around the edges of modeling because people are paying attention to these unrealistic expectations more?
I feel as though Ive been saying this ad nauseam, but I really am grateful that conversations that celebrate (or at least acknowledge and accept) bodily difference are continuing to happen in different places. Im also glad that quite often, those conversations have been used to clap back at bizarre expectations and fat-shaming.

| Amal Clooney's date-night outfit for her fifth wedding anniversary: cute or nah' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Hand to God, for the past few years, whenever I see photos of George Clooney, I think he looks like one of my aging Indian relatives. It?s something about that silver beard and olive skin my male Indian relations all seem to have the same long silver beards and such. Anyway, this is what George Clooney looks like these days. He?s grown out his beard significantly. And he has facial hair! *rimshot*
These are photos of George and Amal Clooney in New York on Friday. They were in town for the opening session of the United Nations, like they are every year. Amal usually has work to do in and around the UN, and she attended several sessions and meetings. From what I saw, I don?t think George joined her? I?m noting that because he has gone with her in previous years. In these photos, they are not headed to the UN though. I think they were going out to dinner or something. Possibly to celebrate their fifth anniversary! Yes, five years ago, we were enjoying those crazy wedding extravaganza photos from Venice. Seems like it was just yesterday.
In the five (plus) years since Amal was presented to us, I do think we?ve gotten used to her quirky style. Amal loves a miniskirt, a mullet skirt and/or something surprisingly twee. I would have really liked this ensemble if only the skirt was a touch longer. As it is, it?s much too short, even for an anniversary date night. I do love that she paired the ensemble with what appears to be ?fancy go-go boots.? I think that was her style aim: to look business/go-go. It?s the new business-casual.

| Maggie Gyllenhaal's 13-year-old got her involved in the fight against climate change | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kaiser wrote about Greta Thunberg, climate activist, and her journey to the U.S. to participate in climate strikes. She gave a speech at the U.N. last Monday, and spoke at Montreals climate march on Friday. NBC reports that climate scientists say that Greta is having a tremendous impact on discussions and movements around climate change. Dr. Sally Benson, who is the co-director of the Precourt Institute for Energy at Stanford University, praised Greta for how she is motivating young people to be involved in the fight against climate change: Were seeing more grassroots action, and shes creating a movement where young people are pushing communities, cities, states and corporations and saying, were not going to wait.
Greta isnt the only teenager who is working to change the minds of adults on the importance of acting now to save the planet: Maggie Gyllenhaal told People while she was at the New York Film Festival that her oldest daughter, 13-year-old Ramona, was the reason that she joined became involved in climate activism:
My 13-year-old got us involved, the Oscar nominee said. She, like many, many children, isnt able to push out of her mind the dire situation that were in. Weve learned as grownups how to do that and they havent learned how to do that and theyre really concerned and upset demanding that the grownups pay attention. My daughter did that to me and it took me a minute.
Gyllenhaal attended the Youth Climate Strike in N.Y.C. earlier this month and said she cant not pay attention to whats going on.
Its real and we need to really change the way were living, she said. My 13-year-old who woke me up to that. Its happening all over the world, the children are mobilizing.
[From People]
On September 20, the day of the international climate strike, Maggie also shared on Instagram something that her 7-year-old daughter, Gloria Ray, wrote and drew:

| Gwen Stefani's kids don't care about her job, but like that she knows celebrities | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Whenever I feel bad about my kid not thinking I?m cool despite my awesome job I think about all the celebrities whose teenagers also don?t consider them cool. I?ve heard this from so many celebrities, but I remember that Liev Schreiber said his kids don?t think much of him, but that he earned dad points when he was on SNL and was able to introduce them to Lil Wayne. (His SNL episode was so good!) So your kids can think your friends or the people you know are cool, just not you. Gwen Stefani was on Seth Meyers recently. He asked how her kids, who are 13, 11 and 5, feel about her music. She said the older two don?t really care about what she does except when she can get them in touch with other celebrities.
On her big break and how she wouldn?t make it on The Voice
We were in the garage for 9 years making music we knew would never get on the radio. Then one day wrote a song called Just a Girl I thought nobody would ever hear and it got on the radio. Anytime anyone listens to my music it just brings me so much joy.
?How do you kids feel about your music??
They don?t really care about me. They ask ?mom do you have Ellen?s [number]? I want to play Fortnite with Ninja.?
[From Late Night with Seth Meyers via Youtube]
Gwen is promoting the end of her Vegas show, which has been running for two years. She got so happy talking about it and clearly loves doing it. I was impressed by that part and with how gracious she was about her fans. She said her favorite part was talking to the audience, which was cute.
Gwen was also on Fallon, where she had on a crazy wig which made her look like Janice from the Muppets. Her face isnt looking as altered now, Ill give her that. She was great at promoting her show ending and gave away tickets to everyone in the audience She also said Zuma, 11, is a little organizer and works with the backstage crew on her shows.
On Fallon they played the clip where Blake couldnt identify Hollaback Girl in his last appearance on the show, which was funny. Blake and Gwen have been together for four years now! I?ve heard that Blake gets along really well with Gwen?s kids, and you can tell that it?s important to her to bring them with her when she?s working. It?s not like she?s talking about how hard it is to balance everything, she just wishes her kids would appreciate her more. A lot of parents can relate to that!
