Alert the presses. Gwen Stefani is pregnant for the third time. She already has Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5, and now she’ll finally have another oddly named baby she’s wanted for so long.
“Gwen and Gavin couldn’t be happier. She’s just trying to focus on resting right now. She wants to make sure that all is well with the baby,” a source told the magazine.
Naturally, three months after she gives birth, she’ll be back to her normal form thus instilling a secret rage and jealousy among her female friends.

Don’t worry about Paula Patton. She’s cool with Robin Thicke grabbing Lana Scolaro’s ass. In fact, she encourages stuff like that. They have what some would call an open awesome marriage. They don’t even care Lana Scolaro sold this story to Life & Style. “Do your thing, girl,” Paula probably said will beckoning a random blonde over to her husband’s lap.
…the 20-year-old claims in the latest issue of Life & Style. Scolaro says she hooked up with the ?Blurred Lines? singer, 36, while his wife, Paula Patton, was just a few feet away and that he approached using the line, ?I just love the fact that you?re so young.? ?His hands were everywhere,? Scolaro, who says she met Thicke at a party a week earlier, tells the magazine. She also claims Thicke told her Patton was ?chill? and encouraged Lana to talk to her. Scolaro says she later accompanied the couple to a bash at a suite in the Greenwich Hotel, where Thicke followed her to the bathroom. She tells the mag, ?He turned off the lights so no one could see us, and he started making out with me. He was grabbing me. He was like, ?I want to get you into bed!? ? But an insider tells us Thicke and Patton were together all night and that neither is concerned about the story.
Then there’s a similar story from IDLYITW showing it’s clearly not an infrequent thing. These two DTF anytime, anywhere. I’m pretty sure Thicke grabbed her ass because Paula wanted to know if it was firm or not.

Sofia and Loeb attended the Hamptons Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton over the Labor Day holiday weekend, but now it seems Vergara is getting ready to resume her sitcom duties.

Anyway, a few days ago, Simon announced that he had just seen the sonogram and now we know that Simon and Lauren are expecting a boy. The Moob Dauphin. The Hair Heir. Simon Junior.
Looks like Simon Cowell is going to have a little mini-me! The X Factor judge and his pregnant girlfriend, New York City socialite Lauren Silverman, are expecting a baby boy, a source confirms to Us Weekly. (The New York Daily News was first to report the gender.)
“They’ve known for a while!” one insider tells Us of the news that they’re having a son.
As noted earlier on Sept. 3, the first-time dad-to-be actually got a glimpse of his little bundle of joy via a recent sonogram. “You literally see this thing which is now alive moving around,” the normally tough-talking Brit gushed to the Times of London on Sept. 2, one month after Us Weekly broke the news of Silverman’s pregnancy.
“I feel very paternal right now. So I am very happy,” he said. He added, though, that he wouldn’t let fatherhood change him too much. “I can assure you: I won’t go soft,” the former American Idol judge quipped.
Cowell and Silverman began their relationship in secret while she was still married to Cowell’s friend Andrew Silverman. The estranged spouses settled their divorce a few weeks ago, on Aug. 14; together they have a son, 7-year-old Adam.
Cowell was understandably reluctant to talk about Silverman’s pregnancy at first, but now that everything’s out in the open, he’s increasingly speaking out about his thoughts on fatherhood. “I am good with kids because I like kids,” he told the BBC. “I really do like them and I listen to them. Once I got used to [the idea of becoming a father] I did get excited. I think I will be a good dad!”
A rep for Cowell did not respond to requests for comment.

At this point, I do feel weird claiming that we should Bump Watch Gwen Stefani. Most of the time, I?m pretty sure that she?s just wearing baggy clothes and/or had a big lunch. Then last year, Gwen basically confirmed that she had been pregnant again and she miscarried at some point, which was probably around the time everyone was like ?oh, she looks pregnant.? I get the feeling that Gwen really wanted another kid and that she and Gavin were actively trying. Maybe they were trying for the girl? I could see that ? Gwen seems like she wouldn?t give up until she got a daughter. Anyway, if this is true, congrats to them. They seem like hands-on, loving parents. Gwen gets a lot of crap for bleaching her sons? hair and for letting them dress, act and style themselves like mini-rock stars, but Zuma and Kingston seem like sweet, well-behaved, normal kids with two doting parents. I kind of hope Gwen gets her girl!

Good God, Christina Hendricks. How are you still upright?!!? These are some new photos of Christina and her husband (the Nerd King) Geoffrey Arend in NYC for the after-party of Everything Is Ours (a play). I like Christina?s newish bob haircut but that?s about it. Her outfit is crazy ? polka-dot blouse with a floral skirt? Honey, no. And while I envy her waist, it seems like she gets more and more top-heavy with every year that passes. The seventh season of Mad Men is just going to have Joan Holloway played by a gigantic boob.
Christina continues to score roles beyond Mad Men too. She was previously cast in the adaptation of Gillian Flynn?s Dark Places as a stripper, but she?s been upgraded to the more significant role of ?the mother?. Charlize Theron plays the daughter all grown up ? does Charlize look like she could be Christina?s daughter? Eh. I mean, I?m glad that Christina has gotten a better role and that Hollywood likes her so much. But realistically, no, I don?t think Christina looks like she could be Charlize?s mom. Additionally ? and these quotes are nearly a month old ? did you know that Christina wants a part on Game of Thrones? OMG. GIVE HER TO TYRION LANNISTER. HBO has announced that True Blood’s next season, to air in 2014, will be its last. Many of us suspected this would happen, particularly after the bizarre “fast forward” ending to the sixth season. The popular cable show, based on writer Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire Mysteries series of books, has been on the air since 2008. Last year showrunner Alan Ball (American Beauty, Six Feet Under) was replaced by Brian Buckner (Friends, Joey). Buckner will continue as showrunner for the seventh and final season, which will include 10 episodes. I question Buckner’s ability to stay true to the characters, given the recent plot twists and some of the bizarre, out-of-touch answers he gave in a Q&A about the show’s direction. More on that in a moment. First, here’s the announcement.
?True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO,? said HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo in a statement. ?Alan Ball took the books by Charlaine Harris, assembled a brilliant cast led by the magnificent Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse, and crafted a show that has taken its many devoted fans on an unforgettable journey. Alan passed the baton to Brian Buckner, who led our fantastic writers and crew in crafting a spectacular sixth season, and he will lead us through the seventh and final season of this amazing show. Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show.?

This is to be expected, particularly since the show seems to be veering wildly off course lately. About a week after the season six finale aired, current showrunner Buckner did an interview with Entertainment Weekly explaining his vision for True Blood. (We covered this interview at the time but it’s worth mentioning in light of this news.) He seemed to have little understanding of the characters as developed on the show and in Harris’ books.
Spoilers for previously aired episodes of True Blood follow
True Blood has recently painted Bill as a “sympathetic” character, and we saw him extend an olive branch to Sookie. Sookie is now inexplicably in a relationship with meathead werewolf Alcide. Buckner explained that “the audience” felt that “Alcide needed to come back to center” and that he wants the plot to be “more character driven” with characters that change and evolve. Meaning Bill will be a good guy all of a sudden, Tara is going to reconcile with her abusive mom, and we’re supposed to care about Sookie’s relationship with Alcide. Also, spoiler, Eric probably isn’t dead, although that may not have been the plan for him. Buckner said that he was “impressed by how much people care” about Eric, Alexander Skarsgard’s character. So Eric is likely to be saved by Pam.
I guess it’s a good thing that True Blood will be going out to pasture. It just isn’t the same without Alan Ball. I’ll miss it so much, though. The show has had its ups and downs but it’s always been a campy pleasure with some excellent eye candy. Hopefully that won’t change in its final year, not matter what happens to the characters.

The tongue is back! Did you notice that we took a bit of a breather yesterday from the wall-to-wall Miley Cyrus coverage? In the meantime, the media frenzy surrounding the twerking seen ’round the world didn’t stop (and it won’t stop) because Miley was classy enough to flip off the paps on Labor Day. In addition, Vanity Fair chose to hilariously spoof Liam Hemsworth’s reaction to the VMAs and (in the process) basically call him a battery-powered robot. Finally, Dr. Laura Schlessinger has slammed Miley as “a disgusting little pig” as well as “a little miss piece of crap,” which is pretty rich coming from a woman that posed topless in her 20s. I won’t link the photos because — let’s face it — I love you guys. Nobody wants to see Dr. Laura’s knockers.
Rest assured though that Miley has inspired global-bound twerkout classes that promise to burn upwards of 500 calories per hour. If nothing else, we can all keep our girlish figures amidst this Cyrus frenzy in the lead up to the release of Bangerz in October.
Now Miley has given her first official interview since the VMA madness, and her sense of entitlement remains relatively unrivaled even within the realm of former child stars. This sense of arrogance is what disturbs me the most about Miley’s recent behavior. It’s not enough for her to beg for attention. She also has to insist that she’s living everyone’s dream because we’re all jealous of her childhood empire that she built all by herself (nevermind Disney’s instrumental involvement). Indeed, Miley fully views herself as an indispensible mover and shaker. In that spirit, she has told MTV that she fully intended to “make history” by grinding against Robin Thicke’s crotch. As such, she willingly compares herself to Madonna rolling around in a wedding dress in 1984 and Britney Spears dancing with a snake in 2001 (and for that matter, Britney shaking it in a nude bodysuit in 2000).
The delusions certainly run deep here. On the other hand, Miley does deliver confirmation about whether or not Robin Thicke was possibly conflicted over their act; and if she’s speaking the truth, then Robin was completely on board:
Miley & Robin’s joint goal at the VMAs: “Me and Robin [Thicke,] the whole time said, ‘You know we’re about to make history right now.’”
Miley is amused: “What’s amazing is I think now, we’re three days later and people are still talking about it. They’re over thinking it. You’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn’t even think about it ’cause that’s just me.”
She’s not worried at all: “I don’t pay attention to the negative because I’ve seen this play out so many times. How many times have we seen this play out in pop music? Madonna’s done it. Britney’s done it. Every VMA performance, that’s what you’re looking for; you’re wanting to make history.”

Sigh. This would have been a much better argument if Miley would have specified that she wanted to make a splash in “pop-culture history,” “music history” or even merely “MTV history.” Instead, she makes it sound like she broke down the Berlin wall or was the first woman to walk on the moon. Instead, Miley merely shook her booty. Enough said.
I also have to admit to finding Miley’s supposed ambivalence to all of our “over thinking” to be quite amusing considering that her own manager, Larry Rudolph, admitted that Miley was absolutely thrilled with the collective reaction to her gross twerking. Girlfriend has loved every second of this fallout, and she’s thinking about it just as much as the rest of us have been for well over a week.

This is one of the few times where I?ve flat-out loved Scarlett Johansson on a red carpet. Right? ScarJo is a pretty woman, of course, but I?ve never been crazy about her style. She either goes with unsuitable twee/bohemian stuff, or she goes too conservative. These are photos from last night?s Venice Film Festival premiere of Scarlett?s new film, Under the Skin.
Scarlett wore a black Atelier Versace gown with a big, beautiful, statement necklace from Bulgari. The gown would have been okay on another star, but on Scarlett, it is amazing. The fit is incredible, it accentuates all of her best assets and it makes her look five inches taller too. I can even appreciate how she chose such a Deco-looking necklace for this romantic, beautiful gown ? while the necklace and gown don?t go together on paper, they work together on Scarlett. I even like that her hair is sort of loose and messy ? this is the best she?s looked in a LONG time.
I?m also including some additional pics of Scarlett at the Under the Skin photocall. She wore a striped tank from ?Sonia Rykiel?s Resort 2014 collection with high-waisted Roland Mouret pants and black satin Roger Vivier open-toe heels.? She looks sort of like a hipster sailor, but it works.
Also ? she didn?t walk the carpet with her boyfriend, Romain. But she did sit next to him at the premiere. He?s cute when he?s all cleaned up and in a tuxedo.

These are some of the most notable ladies from last night?s GQ Man of the Year Awards in London. This is a big annual event in association with GQ UK, they do their own separate awards and such for the UK edition, and then American GQ does their Men of the Year events towards the end of the year. Anyway, a lot of ladies came out to celebrate the men. Let?s start with Emma Watson in Balenciaga. Awful, right? Right. I?m sure fashionistas are like, ?Oh, how darling, a little built-in shrug on a bandeau top, that?s amazing!? Nope. It makes her look like a hunchback. And I don?t get the ?bandeau-as-formalwear? thing. We?ll discuss this further when we get to Jessie J.
Suki Waterhouse in ??. I don?t think I?ve ever really noticed how Suki has a rather kittenish look. She?s got a budget Brigitte Bardot thing happening.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in a white cocktail dress by Versace. I thought it looked like L?Wren Scott, only L?Wren doesn’t make her dresses out of RUBBER. I love it. Clean, simple, sexy.
Alice Eve in Richard Nicholl. Y?all know I?m not a huge fan of orange shades, but this isn?t bad. It sort of works on her because she has the right coloring for it.
Rita Ora in Etro. You know what? I don?t mind this. It?s sort of like the Deconstructed Bumblebee Dress.
Jessie J in Persy Yaniv. OMG. The dress/whatever ensemble? it?s awful. But is it better or worse than what Emma Watson attempted?
Jourdan Dunn in Hugo Boss. Um. I think she?s a model, right? Right. And now I?m pretty sure she has bolt-ons.
Ellie Goulding in Julien Macdonald Fall 2013, but it looks like Marchesa, right? I like Ellie, but I feel like she?s trying too hard to become a Fashion Girl.

Bosworth noted, ?Oscar is the most legendary designer, in my opinion, ever. He has such a great mark on American elegance, and I?m such an admirer of his life and his work. There is no one else for me.?
?Because I love minimalism and I love a clean line so much, I knew that I didn?t want any embellishments in the dress. So I spoke to Oscar [and] he loved the idea about having the drama in the back. So I knew that was going to be perfect.?

Though many speculated that Taylor was telling ex-boyfriend Harry Styles and his group One Direction to "Shut the f--k up" during the ceremony, Ed explains, "[Taylor] rung me straight afterward and she was like, 'I think I've messed up. Selena [Gomez] said to her, 'I think Miley's going to win the award over me,' and then Taylor said, 'Oh, shut the f--- up.' And that's what that was."
