The brainchild behind the new singing competition "The X Factor" hasn't ruled out his old friend Paula Abdul as possible judge on the show.
Simon Cowell recently announced that music producer L.A. Reid -- whom he describes as "the number one hitmaker in the world at the moment" -- would join him at the judge's table, but he is still searching for a third.
Simon had this to say about his former "American Idol" co-judge, "Paula is still in the mix - she definitely has my vote. I hate to admit this but I actually miss working with her. When I was working with her at times, I actually wanted to kill her, she was the most annoying person. And then I'd miss her, and I think she was the same."
Cowell says the selection process is complicated because so many people must agree on a choice, but he emphasizes: "You've got to trust your gut feeling. And I think it's important we've done what we've done, which is that we've taken our time - had a chance to meet as many people as possible, and then you've got to find the right chemistry.

But when Jennifer Aniston goes on a first date with a creeper, it gets splashed across In Touch Weekly. POOR JEN. But seriously, poor Jen. This guy sounds like a total douche, but the whole disaster takes on a comedic edge:
Jennifer Aniston?s love life has been a disaster lately, so she was excited for a blind date with a mystery man on March 9. However, things quickly went downhill when her would-be suitor insisted on dredging up her painful past.
?He kept asking questions about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie,? an eyewitness at West Hollywood?s Sunset Tower Hotel tells In Touch.
It was totally depressing for Jen, who has had a string of horrible dates and boyfriends since divorcing Brad in 2005. This time, an insider tells In Touch, friends convinced her to try a ?non-Hollywood guy? - and she thought things would be different.
But the romantic rendezvous got off to a terrible start when her companion, an entertainment lawyer, didn?t even wait for Jen to show up before ordering.
?It was supposed to be just drinks, but he ordered a full meal,? says the eyewitness. Then, after subjecting her to a battery of questions about Brad and Angie, ?when the bill came, he wanted to know if they should split it!? says the shocked onlooker.
At that point, a humiliated Jen had had enough. ?She paid the entire bill and left!?
Adds an insider, ?we all want Jennifer to find a nice guy she can date.? Sadly, that?s proving easier said than done.

After that, In Touch prints Aniston?s ?Dating Rules?, which probably deserve their own post. They include:
*No sex on a first date.
*No excessive tweeting.
*He must not watch lame dating shows.
*Don?t kiss and tell - like John Mayer.

*A gentleman always picks up the check!
Maybe if she doesn?t want men to bring up their exes or her exes, she should follow that rule as well? No more mentions of Brad or Angelina ever again? Who am I kidding?
Just to play devil?s advocate, let?s just look at it for a moment from the guy?s perspective. He?s a lawyer, he?s probably been in meetings and negotiations and calls all day. He gets set up with Aniston, who he?s only read about, or heard about from whatever mutual friends they have in common. He gets to the restaurant early - and he even let her choose the place, I know because Aniston always takes her dates to the Sunset Tower. He?s hungry, so he orders food. Aniston keeps him waiting - she needed liquid courage and a blowout, so she?s late. She finally shows up, tipsy. He?s impressed with her figure, and after they?re exhausted the subjects Aniston feels comfortable with (exercise), they don?t have anything else to talk about. So the guy, just trying to fill the void because he?s so bored, asks some gossipy questions about Brangelina. Now he?s just trying to piss her off to see if he can get her to walk out. You get the idea.

Bay Area radio station Wild 94.9 got their hands on the two VIP passes to the show, which they in turn put up for auction with proceeds going to the Salvation Army. By the time the auction closed last night (March 23), the winner had bought their passes for a whopping $1,136.
Britney will pre-tape her "GMA" appearance this Sunday, which will air next Tuesday (March 29) ? the day that her "Femme Fatale" album drops.

Hey, remember those videos from 2007 where Paris said she and her sister were “like two [N-words]” because they were dancing to Biggie Smalls’ Hypnotize? Most people remember. Anyway, Paris Hilton will take legal action against Neil Strauss, author of Everyone Loves You When You’re Dead, for accusing her of making racist comments during an interview. Probably to protect whatever is left of her brand image.
To recap, Paris started making out with Vin Diesel, then made an excuse and left after realizing he was half-black. She told Strauss, “I can’t stand black guys. I would never touch one.”
A rep for Hilton insists Paris never said that and that they’re consulting lawyers. A statement from Hilton’s spokesperson reads: “These allegations are absolutely untrue and ridiculous. We have sent these claims to Miss Hilton’s lawyers to respond further. It’s another example of someone making false claims for financial gain.”
The reason Paris is consulting with lawyers first is because there’s a chance Strauss may have recorded the conversation. Hopefully that’s the case. Because Paris Hilton is racist and it’d be good to remind everyone including potential employers of the fact every few years.

Yeah. I don?t care for a pissing contest based on who has the better unnamed sources. While I might buy that Kate and Matt are doing fine - there are photos of them house-hunting in Malibu, and they genuinely seem to adore each other - the idea that Bellamy is screwing around isn?t that off-side. He is in a band. And where?s the unnamed source who will dispute Bellamy?s history of screwing around on girlfriends?
Two more minor stories - ITW also claims that Bellamy doesn?t want their baby to be ?born out of wedlock? and he keeps proposing to Kate, and she keeps refusing. But, Kate did get her lawyers to draw up a custody agreement for the baby in case she and Matt split up. Smart.
Also - Kate recently did an interview where she discussed how she?s a girl?s girl. Some quotes: ?I always feel like you have to watch out for a girl who has no girlfriends. It?s weird if she doesn?t have any. It means they don?t like women and how can you not love women? We?re really powerful when we get a group of us together! I?ve never had that problem [of fighting with girlfriends over men] but I?ve heard about it. I?ve had friends who had real fallings-out over boys but I usually choose women over men. I?m definitely a girl?s girl. I?ve got a group of about six girlfriends and we?re really close.? Do you believe her? I think Kate has fought other girls plenty of times. Stepping out for a swanky evening, Audrina Patridge was spotted at the VH1/Runway Magazine Launch of ?Audrina? in Los Angeles last night (March 23).
The Reality TV starlet looked retro-chic in a green sparkly dress with black peep-toe heels as she arrived at the W Hollywood Hotel.
Of her new show ?Audrina,? set to premiere on April 17th at 9pm on VH1, Miss Patridge explained that there?s something for everyone.
"There?s a little bit of everything. We traveled a lot. Everything behind the scenes is always in front of the scenes so you?re going to see the paparazzi, you?re going to see red carpet stuff like this, and you?re going to see family issues every family goes through. Work issues, relationship issues, everything. I really just opened myself up and brought the cameras with me."

The news of Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper’s split is all over the tabloids this week. They made the announcement last Friday, conveniently right before his new movie came out. Cooper’s Limitless, with Robert DeNiro, was top at the box office last weekend and he’s trying to cement his status as a leading man. Ever since this past weekend?s paparazzi-friendly Jolie-Pitt family walk in New Orleans, some people have been muttering about Angelina Jolie and the possibility that she?s pregnant again. Many commenters - and other sites - have remarked on the size of Angelina?s boobs. Personally, I don?t really see it - Jolie has always had a nice-sized bust, and I suspect that she has the kind of figure where during weight fluctuations, she loses and gains weight in her boobs first. But - as I noted in my coverage of yesterday?s People Magazine cover story, something weird is going on with Angelina and Brad, and maybe a new baby announcement is it.
So far, OK! Magazine is the only magazine really pushing the pregnancy angle this week. They note, ?Angelina looks bustier and fuller than she did in January.? And they spoke to ?Boston ob-gyn Dr. Dave David? who says: ?It?s possible she?s pregnant. Early on in pregnancy women just put on water weight.? But! OK! Magazine also claims that Maddox is trying to convince his parents to adopt again: ?Maddox had a serious talk with his parents, telling them he felt they should adopt Japanese kids orphaned by the recent earthquake,? says an insider, adding that Brad and Angelina promised to consider it.

Fitting in a pampering session during a hectic midweek afternoon, Kim Kardashian fought the rainy weather as she treated herself to a pedicure in Beverly Hills, CA on Wednesday (March 23).
Using an orange bag to keep her lovely locks dry, the E! darling headed inside to the local beauty salon for the routine treatment after getting in a little shopping with a gal pal.
During the course of the day, Kim tended to multiple business meetings, as well, as she tweeted, "Just left a huge Sears meeting! You guys are gonna LOVE our new collection! Can't wait for it to launch!!!!!"
A short while later, Miss Kardashian added, "Ok now heading to a fragrance meeting. I need a name for my new perfume! Any cool ideas?"
On a side note, the 30-year-old also sent well-wishes regarding the passing of Elizabeth Taylor, as she wrote, "I am so saddened about the passing of Elizabeth Taylor! She will always be my idol!"

As her big album release/promotional efforts near, Britney Spears enjoyed downtime by going shopping with the boys in Calabasas, CA on Wednesday (March 23).
The "Hold It Against Me" singer walked alongside Sean Preston as a staffer toted Jayden James while the group browsed through the clothing offerings at the local mall's Gymboree store.
As for her new music on the way, "Femme Fatale" is set to be released for purchase next Tuesday , March 29th.
Of the effort, Spears recently told Rolling Stone, "I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now. I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love, which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout the album. I also really wanted to play with my voice and change up my sound here and there, which was really fun."
Britney also mentioned, "I only wanted songs that I immediately connected to. I also wanted to make sure that this album was completely different from Circus or anything else I had ever recorded. I love Circus, but I wanted something darker and edgier. I also wanted to make an album and didn't want to just record a bunch of songs and put them together. I think Femme Fatale is really connected from start to finish."

This afternoon, TMZ was the first to report that Lindsay Lohan was definitely not taking a plea deal in her crack thievery case, and that she was now set to take this crack shenanigan all the way to trial. I didn?t write about it at the time because I thought it was just another BS Linnocent story, and I wanted to wait until tomorrow, the actual deadline for Linnocent to make her decision about taking the plea deal. Looks like TMZ was right, though. Radar reports that Shawn Chapman Holley, Linnocent?s long-suffering attorney, has notified the judge that no deal will be taken. Crack trial commence!
Lindsay Lohan’s attorney has formally notified Judge Keith Schwartz that she won’t be taking the plea deal that would have included jail time in connection with her grand theft charge, RadarOnline.com can report.
Lohan had to notify Judge Schwartz by today about her decision.
Contrary to reports, RadarOnline.com has learned that Lohan’s attorney only notified the Judge of Lohan’s decision at 3PM PT.
Lindsay will now appear in front of Judge Stephanie Sautner on April 22, 2011 for her preliminary hearing.
At the conclusion of the preliminary hearing, Judge Sautner will determine if Lindsay violated terms of her probation. If Judge Sautner orders Lindsay to stand trial, she will likely sentence and remand Lohan to jail immediately, even before her trial begins, for parole violation, for a term of at least six months.
Lindsay is charged with Felony Grand Theft after allegedly stealing a necklace valued at $2,500 from Kamofie and Company, a Venice Beach area jewelers.
Lindsay is facing a bumpy ride if Judge Sautner does order the 24-year-old to stand trial.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers will include as part of her case, past incidents in which Lindsay has been accused of theft.
“There is very damaging information about Lindsay’s past evidence of thefts, including a stolen Rolex, which a friend of hers reported as stolen last April 2010, which will be made public,? a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
?Lindsay was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department last spring after a friend reported that after leaving the Rolex at Lohan’s apartment, it wasn’t returned immediately. Actually, it was quite a bit of time later that the watch was returned to the person. The watch was valued at a whopping, 35k, and like the current theft case, Lindsay was photographed wearing the watch.
?Lindsay wasn’t charged in that case because the victim became uncooperative as soon as the watch was returned. The D.A. will be sending investigators out from the office to talk to the victim. Meyers wants to know if there was a financial pay off.?
Lohan was also accused of stealing a mink coat from Maria Markova in New York City in January 2008. Markova said at the time that Lohan took the coat at a nightclub, 1 Oak. The coat was valued at $12k. Markova claimed she was sitting next to Lohan at the club when the coat was allegedly stolen.
Markova said the next time she saw the coat, Lohan was wearing it in a magazine picture. Lindsay was not criminally charged in that incident either. “Meyers will be reviewing that information as well. It will absolutely be brought up either at the preliminary hearing or the trial,? our source said. ?This will establish a pattern of behavior, that Meyers will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Lindsay is guilty in this case.
“It doesn’t matter that Lindsay wasn’t criminally charged in those previous incidents. Meyers can, and will subpoena police that investigated those, and as well as the accusers if she needs to. Lindsay has major entitlement issues, which have led her down this very dark road.?

TMZ takes a much more Linnocent-friendly approach, noting that she was a ?credible defense? for the crack thievery, but it?s the probation violations that will ruin her, and the judge will have discretion as to whether those two issues - the crack thievery and the probation violations - will be joined into one case. And as we know, Linnocent?s violations keep stacking up, like so many tequila shots chased with lines of coke. The preliminary hearing is set for April 22 - from what Law & Order has taught me, my guess is that the hearing will be a preview of the evidence against Linnocent, and her strategy for beating the rap.

Rumors of Rachel Bilson breaking up with the most boring actor in the world Hayden Christensen have been popping up since 2007. It’s been four years and they’re still popping up such as today in Us Magazine where a source says that they’re over for good. “Engagement’s over, relationship’s over. She’s really had it,” said the source. Had what, I’m not sure, but she sounds frustrated.
However, Rachel’s rep denies these new reports. They told Celebuzz, “There is [no] truth to this — Rachel and Hayden are still dating.”
Oh and I’m just supposed to believe her rep who’s in direct contact with her? Over Source who’s been quoted in numerous rumors proven right over the years? Pfft. Source has never let me down. Source is like the ultimate insider. How does he/she get in with all these celebrities?!
