Selena Gomez might have gone commando during her performance at the 103.3 AMP Radio Birthday Bash at City Hall Plaza in Boston, Massachusetts. I say might have because I’ve been staring at this picture for a while now and I still can’t figure out what’s going on. It’s like one of those paradoxical pictures where it could either be a duck or an old woman only sexier.

A Human Rights Watch report has called Turkmenistan “one of the world’s most repressive” regimes. Internet traffic is monitored and reporters being jailed is the norm. Says HRW, “Media and religious freedoms are subject to draconian restrictions, and human rights defenders and other activists face the constant threat of government reprisal. The authorities continue to use imprisonment as a tool for political retaliation and to restrict peoples’ right to travel freely.”
So it’s no surprise that when Turkmenistan leaderGurbanguly Berdymukhamedov celebrated his 56th birthday on Sunday, it was with a special performance from Jennifer Lopez. How else was she going to get people to clap for her if not through fear and intimidation.
Reports say Lopez was paid $1 million plus expenses for the performance. She dressed in a traditional Turkmen dress to sing Happy Birthday to the president and performed a few of her other hits. Thus instilling more sadness into this country than Gurbanguly ever could.
Lopez’s publicist says the event was vetted by staff and had they known of any human rights issues, they would not have attended. Her publicist also told The AP that the event was hosted by the China National Petroleum Corp. and wasn’t a political event. That totally explains why she sang happy birthday to the Turkmenistan leader.

From reality TV to real life style star, Whitney Port has and is doing it all.
And while she cemented her spot in the fashion realm some time ago, Port's latest venture ? a clothing collaboration with Aussie label Cooper St ? has her further digging her heels into the world of sartorial success.
Our friends at DIY Fashion caught up with the 28-year-old to talk about the exciting new project ? a chat that soon led us to Whitney's thoughts on closet must-haves, trends that must go ? oh and her current candy craving. (Yes, she gets those, too!)
What made you decide to join forces with the Cooper St?
I feel like we have a very similar esthetic. I just love what they do, I love their prints, I love their colors, I think that their fashion sense is very similar to mine. [When] I met the designers, we got along perfectly and decided 'wow' this would be really fun to go ahead and test something out. The product has come out exactly how I wanted ? even better than I could have ever imagined.
Do you have a favorite piece from the collection?
Every time I see it I feel like it changes! But when I did the photoshoot, my favorite piece was the black spaghetti strap dress with a slit. It's really simple but it's very chic and sophisticated, too. I feel like lots of girls are going to be able to wear it ? it?s going to look great on everyone.
So, what?s next for your line Whitney Eve?
I am working on spring 2014 at the moment. So [I'm] continuing to develop as a designer and get my line out there. I'm also working on a jewelry line to launch during the fall holiday time.
You've lived on both sides of the country. Do you find that you're more in-sync with West or East Coast style?
I feel like when I'm in the different places my style changes a bit. I feel like my style is a really even mix of the two. Although, when I'm in New York I can have a little bit more fun and I have the motivation to dress up a bit more.
What are staple pieces every woman should have in her wardrobe?
A really skinny, fancy black denim jean, a leather motorcycle jacket? because it instantly makes me feel cool ? a great black dress, and a really good standard ankle boot.
One trend you wish would go away?
I'm not really into scarves just for the sake of wearing scarves. I get it if it's cold outside and you want to bundle up, but I really don't like those patterned scarves people wear to just accessorize their outfits when it's not even cold.
Now, just for fun, finish the sentence...I can't leave home without my _____ when traveling.
Obviously my phone, but If I'm going on a plane ride, a cashmere scarf that I wear around my neck and use as a blanket.
The weirdest thing I keep in my handbag is _____ .
These gummy candies that look like fried eggs! So random, but I?m a sucker for a good candy store. I treat myself to a couple a day.
When it comes to fashion, I'm most likely to splurge on ____ and save on _____ .
I [pretty much] think everything you buy you can save on. But, for me, shoes and bags are something I don?t want to cheap out on. They are things you wear over and over again ? so you feel like you?re getting your money?s worth. With clothes ? it?s something that?s constantly evolving and changing so you don?t always have to be shopping the labels.

After Alec Baldwin ranted at that “toxic little queen” George Stark of The Daily Mail last week, a few people were of the opinion that Alec Baldwin might be a homophobe. Alec Baldwin wants to clear something up. Alec Baldwin is nothing of the sort. In fact, Alec Baldwin has a gay friend or something or other.
Issuing a statement to GLAAD, Baldwin tried to explain away the gay by saying the word “queen” has nothing to do with being a homosexual.
“My ill-advised attack on George Stark of the Daily Mail had absolutely nothing to do with issues of anyone’s sexual orientation. My anger was directed at Mr. Stark for blatantly lying and disseminating libelous information about my wife and her conduct at our friend’s funeral service. As someone who fights against homophobia, I apologize.”
“A queen to me has a different meaning,” he said. “It?s somebody who?s just above. It doesn?t have any necessarily sexual connotations. To me a queen… I know women that act queeny, I know men that are straight that act queeny, and I know gay men that act queeny. It doesn?t have to be a definite sexual connotation, or a homophobic connotation.”
“If homosexuality was an issue for me, I would have moved out of New York years ago. I find that laughable.”
A light bulb just went off in Paula Deen’s head and she quickly smiled to herself while jotting down, “If black people were an issue for me, I would have moved out of the South years ago. I find that laughable.” Thank you, Alec Baldwin!

Before we discuss these new Jimmy Choo ads, I?d just like to say something to the people in charge of releasing advanced copies of advertising: this is how you do it. Do it like Jimmy Choo is doing it, where every major outlet gets high-quality images from the campaign, and everything gets released all at once. It?s amateur hour over at Dior with Robert Pattinson?s campaign ? they?re not increasing the ?buzz? for the campaign, they?re just making everybody angry.
Anyway, as we discussed in May, Nicole Kidman was named the new face/feet of Jimmy Choo. This is ? I believe? ? Choo?s first celebrity brand ambassador, and their first celebrity ad campaign. I?m saying they spent major money to get Nicole, and then they spent major money shooting these ads. Was it worth it? Well, Nicole is wearing a pretty mangy-looking red wig, and her makeup is kind of awful. She reminds me of (or she?s styled like) Stella Tennant, right? Nicole?s body looks really good, though. I have leg jealousy.
Anyway, Nicole issued a statement about the ads (again, Dior needs to take note of how Choo is doing it): ?I really enjoyed being able to play a role that was strong, sexy and in control. I got into a relationship with the photographer, and Mikael [Jansson] is very intuitive, he knows what I am thinking and feeling and is able to translate it through the camera.? Jimmy Choo?s creative director Sandra Choi said: ?There is a feeling of a quiet eroticism in the collection, and this concept was brought to life by Nicole?s magnetic presence in front of the camera. Her character portrays the multi-faceted qualities of the Jimmy Choo woman for this season ? strong, sexy with a beguiling sense of mystery.?
Here?s the commercial for Jimmy Choo too? OMG. This is almost worth its own post. The duck lips! The legs! The busted wig! The terrible makeup! And shoes, of course. This commercial feels like the beginning of a Saturday Night Live spoof-commercial.

Showing off her singing prowess, Mariah Carey showed up at the 2013 BET Awards last night (June 30) to perform her hit single ?#Beautiful.?
Joined by Young Jeezy and Miguel, the ?Honey? hottie looked gorgeous as she belted out a few of those uber-high notes she?s known for.
However, there?s been speculation that Ms. Carey?s crooning wasn?t the real deal, and that she relied on a pre-recorded vocal track for the gig.
While Twitter was rife with lip-synching claims, an industry insider told press, ?At around 2:15 to 2:21 in the clip she appears to be out of sync with the audio. That?s the one spot I think could be the giveaway that she?s lip syncing. [But] sometimes a slight delay in the audio sync to the video can also make someone look like they are lip syncing when they are not. It could just be a bad edit.?

Last week, I wrote a story which very few of you cared about. Which was weird, because it was interesting (to me, at least). Kris Jenner seemed to be telling people that she wanted (and Kim wanted) North West?s first baby photos to be shown on Kris?s talk show, which debuts two weeks from now. It seemed like Kim was still debating the wisdom of that, while Kanye was just flat-out opposed to it. To be fair to Kanye, he views himself as the top of the artist heap, and I would imagine that if Kanye is going to allow his daughter to be photographed for a magazine, it?s going to be, like, Mario Testino or Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair. Well, it looks like Kanye might have gotten his way:
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s baby daughter North West won’t be unveiled on Kris Jenner’s upcoming talk show … despite reports to the contrary.
Sources close to the Kardashian fam tell TMZ, Kim is planning a first look with N.W. in a photo shoot. She hasn’t accepted an offer yet, but we’re told at least one magazine has offered North of $2 mil. We’re told the proceeds will go to charity.
Interesting … a baby reveal on Kris’ new show could be a ratings bonanza, but it’s not gonna happen.
In fact … we’re told Kim is so averse to exploiting her baby — she doesn’t even plan to show North West on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” next season. We’re guessing Kanye had something to do with that decision.
We’ll believe it when we see it.

Kim always claimed she donated her wedding gifts to charity too, although I don?t think that really happened. So, even though there?s a rumor she?ll donate the money to charity, I doubt she?ll ever get around to it. But other than that, I believe this story. Kim probably wants to just do a People Mag photoshoot, while Kanye wants something more artsy, and Kris is freaking out.
Meanwhile, Tracy Anderson gave an interview about Kim?s post-baby body and stuff, because of course we have to talk about this just a few weeks after a woman gave birth. Jesus. I mean, YEEZUS.
Kim Kardashian doesn’t do anything halfway. At the moment, all of her attention is focused on getting to know her newborn daughter, North, whom she and boyfriend Kanye West welcomed into the world on June 15. Losing the baby weight is far from a priority, but when the time is right, she has a plan to get her body back — and more than enough drive and determination to see it through, celeb trainer Tracy Anderson tells Us Weekly exclusively.
Anderson — who has a successful post-pregnancy workout DVD, as well as a series of DVDs to help women stay active during their pregnancies — is personally devising an exercise program to help the 32-year-old reality star bounce back after baby. And though neither she nor Kardashian wants to rush the process, they’re both excited to get to work.
“It’s a tough time, and a lot of women feel like it’s a huge mountain to climb to get back, but Kim, surprisingly, has had the totally opposite reaction to other moms,” Anderson tells Us. “She’s like, ‘We’re going to be so good. It’s fun, I feel great!’ She just loves the whole process. From our talks during her pregnancy, I thought she was going to be really concerned [about her weight] once the baby was out, but she’s just not…She’s in baby heaven. She’s excited to get started, but she’s really calm about it all.”
Anderson — whose other celeb clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Bethenny Frankel, and Shiri Appleby — says she won’t actually start working out with Kardashian until five weeks after baby North’s birth. But she’s already mapping out a routine.
“It will definitely be lots of muscular structure…In the beginning, it’s key getting the deep abdominal muscles back and making sure that you get the strength back in the right layers,” she explains, noting that Kardashian’s program will include exercises tailor-made for her body and her preferences. “She’s not going to be doing any typical crunches or anything like that.”
The plan, Anderson says, is to start with four-day-a-week workouts and then gradually increase to five or six days. “She promised me she would be the best student ever, and I promised her that I would do it personally for her, that I would go to her myself and get her back,” she tells Us. (The fitness guru doesn’t typically train celebs herself, but she’s making an exception in Kardashian’s case.)
“Kim is super motivated. She’s all in,” Anderson says. “Pregnancy is actually an opportunity for women to look better than ever. And [Kim] will.”

You can tell that Tracy is just itching to complain about Kim?s body. This is a woman who bitched about her clients? ?disaster bodies? and complained that too many women use pregnancy as an excuse ?to let their bodies go?. When she met Gwyneth for the first time, she pulled off Goop?s pants and told her to her face that she looked terrible. So, yeah? Kim is in for a rough ride. Maybe Kim should just hire Gunnar Peterson or something?

Demi Lovato covers the August issue of Cosmo magazine, and the cover itself is typical Cosmo style — gaudy colors, cleavage, and the effects of a wind machine. Demi looks good even though I’m still trying to get used to her as a blonde, but those bird tattoos flying up her forearm are … kind of tacky, right? I don’t have any problem with tattoos in general, and Demi’s other tattoos are fine, but those birds? Awful.
Naturally, the interview gets into Demi’s struggles with her recovery, and she hints that she won’t reveal some painful secrets from her past. I know some of you think Demi is full of crap with her recovery talk and rah-rah attitude, but she’s really kept it together ever since going on “X-Factor.” I think there’s something to be said about working with Simon Cowell on a regular basis without having a public meltdown. Demi will turn 21 years old in August and says that she won’t be partying and getting drunk although she’ll miss it. Here are some excerpts:
On her new chapter in life: “It’s a new beginning for me. A year and a half ago, I was frustrated. I was like, there are people on the radio and they’re not even singing — it’s all Auto-Tuned, and I know I can sing. It’s taken me three albums to figure out what works for me.”
On her “stay strong” wrist tattoos: “I got them in North Hollywood, right after I got out of treatment [in 2011]. I thought, there’s no better place for a former cutter to get a tattoo than on a place where they used to self harm.”
She has faith: “I’m not super religious, but I grew up Christian and I believe in God. When I’m in L.A., I don’t talk about it that much because people are very judgmental, but I just feel like God gave me a voice, not just to sing with. He put me through those things, which seemed horrible at the time, but they were so worth it. With the obstacles I’ve overcome, I can help people.”
She wanted to be a child star: “I remember reading about Shirley Temple and looking up at God and being like, Okay, I’m 5. I’m ready.”
On starring on “Barney & Friends”: “Barney could be a little codependent. At the time, I was just so grateful to be on TV, but I was really struggling. Looking back, there was a connection, probably between any kid who’s ever sang that song to Barney, a little place in a child’s heart, a void, that could be filled. And maybe Barney fills it. Even before Barney, I was suicideal. I was 7. With Barney, I guess subliminally, I did have a relationship with this figure that was saving my life in a way.”
Her past is worse than we know: “I’ve talked about being bullied and the years of being a teenager, but I went through things when I was younger that I’ve never talked about that probably caused me to turn out the way I ended up turning out. My family knows what it’s about. When I’m ready to open up that subject with the outside world, then I’ll be free to talk about it. Bur right now, it’s kind of one of those things where the lyrics [of "Warrior"] speak for me. It’s all in the song.”
Let’s talk about Wilmer Valderrama: “If I’m dating someone, you may see me out, but until I’m marriage-serious, I probably won’t walk the red carpet with anyone.”

Hmm. Demi is semi-mysteriously alluding to something traumatic in her past, but she claims her lyrics will reveal all for those who are curious. In “Warrior,” Demi sings, “There’s a part of me I can’t get back / A little girl grew up too fast,” so I am guessing that she’s speaking of childhood abuse at the hands of a (supposedly) trusted adult. Sad.
Even more sadly, Demi’s father has recently passed away, and she attended the funeral this past weekend. In the aftermath, Demi has established the Lovato Treatment Scholarship, and she states that “My father dealt with mental illnesses and he wasn?t able to function in society and that happens to a lot of people. There’s an overwhelming sense of peace knowing my dad is no longer battling his demons anymore and that makes me so happy.” Hopefully, this scholarship will do some good.

Here are some new photos of Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and their children out and about in Venice, California over the weekend. It was only a few weeks ago when we finally learned the names of their 9-month-old twins ? the boy is Charlie (I think Charlie is in his dad?s arms) and the girl is Poppy (carried by Anna). At first I thought Charlie had really dark brown hair, but I guess that was just a shadow. They?re both pretty fair children, maybe Poppy is slightly blonder than her brother. They?re really cute babies. I know all babies are cute, obviously, but we rarely get to see these two babies. In fact, I think this is the first time I?ve really seen their faces. It seems like Charlie takes after his mom and Poppy looks more like Stephen. Maybe that?s just me.
I was going to say that the coordination for this family makes it look like they?re going on vacation or something, but Fame/Flynet says Stephen and Anna just took the babies out to lunch and then they picked up Stephen?s daughter Lilac at the bus station in Tarzana. What was she doing on the bus? I don?t know. I do like that it seems that Stephen does spend a lot of time with his oldest daughter even though he and Lilac?s mum split up a while ago. He seems to strive to be a hands-on dad. And Anna seems to enjoy being a step-mother too, and she does it with very little drama.

Miley Cyrus and the was in attendance at the iHeartRadio festival held in Miami over the weekend. I have to say that I enjoyed Miley’s crop top and silver skirt from last year (when the event was held in Vegas) much more than this barely-there Versace number. I mean, there’s a fine line between “little black dress” and a “look at me” sort of ridiculousness, and these nipple-button-pockets definitely fall into the latter camp.
As a slight diversion before I get to more fashion, Hollywood Life claims to have an exclusive from a friend of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. Supposedly, Liam is super upset about the sexy image Miley projects in her “We Can’t Stop” video, but Miley thinks Liam is really lame “to tell her to tone it down” although she supposedly has made some concessions (i.e., she dressed down for their movie date a few weeks ago). Further, Miley is torn between “trying to be respectful to Liam but also be true to herself as an artist.” Because I guess twerking is considered “art” now. Someone call James Franco.
Ke$ha looked rather tame (for her) on the red carpet in a sheer, long-sleeved black top with bra and tiny shorts peeking out underneath. She accessorized with some cool, swirly sheer stockings. This outfit is much better than what she wore onstage while shooting whipped cream into a back-up dancer’s mouth. Also, too much self tanner.
LL Cool J was there too! Do Ladies still Love Cool James? He recently released his 13th record, Authentic, to moderate sales, but I think he’s more focused on his acting career right now with the success of “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
Audrina Patridge showed up for some reason as well. Something nice: I love her hair.

Jennifer Lopez is at it again with her one-off gigs (not shown in these photos, which were taken in London last month) in former Soviet republics. This time, she earned $1.4 million on Saturday evening by performing at a birthday celebration for the president of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. Berdymukhamedov presides over what Global Human Rights Watch describes as “one of the world’s most repressive countries.” In Turkmenistan, Internet use is severely restricted (with social media being completely outlawed), and all electronic and television communication is monitored. In addition, Turkmenistan does not allow freedom of thought or religion, homosexuality is punishable by law, and the authorities have been known to demolish homes and forcibly evict residents without any form of compensation.
Naturally, JLo claims that she knew nothing of the sort, and her publicist is insisting that she’d never have performed in Turkmenistan if she’d have known anything at all about the country’s human rights history. This situation is much like Hilary Swank getting $1.5 million for the Chechen dictator’s birthday party wherein she gushed about how Ramzan Kadyrov is such a wonderful leader and does so much for his people. Celebrities and their teams have access to the Internet, right? It’s like they don’t know how to Google anything (except themselves), and JLo looks pretty ridiculous right now:
The US pop star Jennifer Lopezhas added to her long history of performing for unsavoury characters with a birthday concert for the president of Turkmenistan — a man accused of committing widespread human rights abuses while ruling over the hermit nation.
Human rights activists criticised the star, also known as JLo, for singing at the flashy southern resort of Avaza on Saturday night to mark the 56th birthday of Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, attended by a select group of officials, diplomats and executives.
With a shout of “Turkmenistan!”, Lopez took to the stage to sing and dance her way through her biggest hits. At the end, she changed from a skimpy white dress into a long, traditional Turkmen outfit to sing Happy Birthday, Mr President. “It was our pleasure,” Lopez said from the stage. “And we wish you the very happiest birthday.”
Berdymukhamedov presides over a personality cult in the oil and gas-rich central Asian nation and brooks no dissent. Human Rights Watch calls Turkmenistan “one of the world’s most repressive countries.” Lopez is believed to be the first major star to visit and perform in Turkmenistan, a nation whose people live in poverty and are allowed little contact with the outside world.
Lopez’s entourage appeared unaware they were heading to a country where the internet is tightly controlled. Access to social media and websites run by independent media and human rights groups is banned. “I wonder where all my Turkmenistan followers are!? Hit me up!” tweeted her choreographer JR Taylor. The tweet was later deleted as reports of Lopez’s controversial performance began to spread.
Lopez’s publicist released a statement on Sunday saying that had the singer been aware of the country’s human rights issues, she would not have performed there. The statement said she was invited to perform for CNPC and “graciously obliged” their last-minute request to sing a birthday tune for Berdymukhamedov.
Lopez has also performed at the wedding of an Uzbek businessman in Ukraine, reportedly for $1m, as well as for the Azeri oligarch Telman Ismailov, reportedly for $1.4m.
Before two performances in Russia last year, Lopez declined to discuss the country’s human rights situation with fans during a phone-in. In response to a question about the jailed punk band Pussy Riot, she said: “I don’t like to talk politics, to be quite honest.”

One would think that celebrities would require their teams to research any and all important matters of human rights record whenever visiting an unfamiliar foreign country. This should just be a part of the job, right? Of course, I’m not excusing JLo at all for not bothering to at least visit the main Wikipedia page for any unfamiliar country she visits. First of all, does that tank have ?DONG? written on it? Yes, I?m pretty sure it does. Rather on point, I think. Anyway, these are some photos from the Fort Irwin National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Calif. Brad Pitt, Shia Labeouf, Logan Lerman, and Jon Bernthal met with soldiers and spent time at the training facility last week ? apparently, they even spent the night on Wednesday too. They were doing research for a film called Fury, which is described by IMDB as ?A crew of Americans in Nazi Germany toward the end of World War II embark on a brave mission.? And Hollywood?s nostalgia for all things WWII continues. The local paper had some more information, and as you can see, the trip was well-documented by photographers:
FORT IRWIN ? Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Shia Labeouf spent two days at the National Training Center this week doing research for future movie roles, according to Fort Irwin spokesman Gus Bahena.
Pitt will star in the World War II film ?Fury? alongside the Transformer?s star LaBeouf, according to multiple reports. The film is scheduled to be released in November 2014.
?It was a unit-sponsored event with just a small group of soldiers in the field,? Bahena said about the visit. ?They talked about the mission of the NTC, what those particular soldiers do and the soldiers? experience and background. There was no official meet-and-greet.?
The two actors spent the night at Fort Irwin on Wednesday and embedded with the Operations Group for the full day on Thursday, he said.
The Ops Group is a permanent unit at Fort Irwin responsible for facilitating training of the rotating units. The Ops Group observes, controls and gives after-training reviews. Bahena said the timing of the stars? visit was fitting because Friday marks the last day of training for rotating units until September.
On Fort Irwin?s official Facebook page, an NTC official posted: ?They?re only here for a brief visit to observe the complex training environment that the National Training Center has to offer. We will respect their purpose and their privacy for being here and appreciate that they are seeking interest in our mission at the NTC.?

There might not have been an official meet-and-greet, but from the looks of things, the actors did spend a lot of time posing with military fans and shaking hands and generally being nice to soldiers. Which is awesome, and I?m glad they did that. Shia seems like he was a little ?extra? but he always seems like that. I don?t know if he had his combat uniform made up or if Fort Irwin gave that to him and he just decided to wear it. Anyway, enjoy the photos. I think Brad?s wearing a little too much jewelry for a trip to a military base, but I bet many of those soldiers were really jazzed to meet him.

Jessica Simpson gave birth yesterday. To a little boy, which we knew already. Jessica announced she was having a boy months ago, and sources kept claiming that she and Eric Johnson had already picked out their perfect boy?s name: ACE. Ace Johnson. And that?s exactly what happened, only it?s so much worse once you know the kid?s middle name. Ace? Knute? Johnson. Pronounce it with the ?K?. Ka-nute. Apparently, ?Knute? is for Eric?s Swedish grandfather. The shenanigans are heavy with this one.
Maxwell’s baby brother has arrived! Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson have welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Ace Knute Johnson, her rep tells Us Weekly exclusively. Little Ace was born in Los Angeles via scheduled C-section on Sunday, June 30, the rep adds.
“Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great,” her rep tells Us. “Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.”
The singer, 32, and Johnson, 33, are already parents to daughter Maxwell, nearly 14 months. Us exclusively revealed in November 2012 that Simpson was pregnant again just seven months after Maxwell’s birth; Us also broke news in February that Simpson planned on naming her child “Ace.” (Ace’s middle name honors dad Eric’s Swedish paternal grandfather, Knute Johnson.)
In true Jessca fashion, the Fashion Star mentor accidentally confirmed the sex of her second baby-to-be to back in March. “The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous,” she joked of her morning sickness. After realizing her mistake, Simpson added, “Well, I guess I just told the world that I’m having a boy!”
And gender wasn’t the only difference for pregnancy number two. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on March 7, Simpson shared that “this pregnancy is the complete opposite. Like with Maxwell, I felt amazing. Like I could do everything, eat everything. Do whatever I wanted. I had a lot of energy,” she recalled. “This time around . . . I’m like exhausted. Eating Tums. That’s my snack of choice.”
After about six months of dating, Simpson and Johnson, a Yale grad and former NFL player, got engaged in fall 2010, but were forced to postpone their nuptials twice due to her unexpected, back-to-back pregnancies. But a source recently told Us they’re hoping to (finally!) tie the knot soon.
At the Weight Watchers spokeswoman’s April 14 baby shower, she “was telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born,” the source told Us. “Jessica said, ‘Let’s have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!’”

Well, congrats. It sounds like mother and baby are doing fine. I bet Ace Knute was a big baby, just like Maxwell Drew. And I hope that Jessica went on the pill (or whatever) two seconds after giving birth, because if she doesn?t do that, Eric is just going to impregnate her again. I also have to give Jessica some props for having a much healthier pregnancy this time around ? she didn?t pack on the pounds like she did during her first pregnancy. That being said, I?m sure she?ll be in the gym as soon as possible because sources keep claiming that she wants to get married soon.
