Here’s a nice story of two costars who fell for each other when they were both single. (See also: Lauren Graham and Peter Krause. And don’t tell me they’re not still together or my day will be ruined.) Tea Leoni, 48, and Tim Daly, 58, play a married couple on CBS’ Madam Secretary, and now they’re dating in real life. The best part of this story is that they were both divorced with two kids each when they met, and it’s also somewhat awesome that they’re around the same age too:
Tea Leoni’s leading man on-screen is now her leading man offscreen, too! As revealed exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly, the recently divorced Madam Secretary actress is dating her costar Tim Daly, who plays the husband of her character Elizabeth Faulkner McCord on the CBS political drama.
“Their chemistry on set is electrifying,” a source tells Us of Leoni, 48, and Daly, 58. “They have an amazing time filming.”
The fun continues off-camera, too. On Friday, Nov. 14, the duo were seen strolling down a street in L.A.’s Venice area “with their arms wrapped around each other,” a witness says, adding, “They were definitely couple-y.”
For his part, Private Practice alum Daly gushed about working with Leoni back in September, telling Collider they went to the same high school in Vermont, years apart. “She’s a person, like me and like a lot of people who have gone to that school…who can be perfectly happy sleeping in a wet sleeping bag on a stone floor, or staying in a fancy hotel,” he said of his costar.
“She’s not a whiner. She wants to work hard and she wants to have fun,” he added. “We get along really, really well. We have a really good time. I’ve gotten along with plenty of people, but the chemistry sucked. And I’ve hated people where the chemistry is great. It’s much better if you get along and the chemistry is good. That’s perfect.”

That’s really sweet that Tim gushed about working with Tea. US Magazine points out that Tim has been divorced since 2010 and that Tea just finalized her divorce from David Duchovny four months ago. I doubt this burgeoning relationship had anything to do with Tea’s split – Tea and David first announced their separation in 2008 (after he went to rehab for sex addiction), and they reunited but then split up again in 2011. They may have had a another go-around after that although that’s difficult to google. The point is that both Tea and Tim were single when they hooked up. Tea also doesn’t seem to have any hard feelings for her ex, she told Parade Magazine a few months ago that “David gave me the two greatest gifts on the planet” (referring to their two kids, one of whom is literally named Kyd) and that “We?ve always loved each other, and we adore these kids.” Yay for amicable divorces and new love.

I?m covering Mariah Carey and LeAnn Rimes? Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting performances separately, because there were separate issues that need to be discussed – go here to read about Mariah. First, let me say something nice about LeAnn Rimes? performance of ?I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas?: her voice sounded pretty decent. Better than Mariah?s voice. Now, everything bad: LeAnn was trying way too hard to be a sexy Christmas singer. It?s network television! It?s a wholesome Christmas tree lighting event! Children are watching! All of that should mean ?leave your garter belt at home.? Here?s her performance:
Full disclosure: I couldn?t even finish watching it. I stopped at about 90 seconds. Sigh?I can?t with LeAnn. I guess this was probably her goal in releasing her sad little Christmas EP. She wanted to get some higher profile gigs for Christmas, and since Mariah Carey can?t sing all the Christmas songs, NBC threw LeAnn a bone. I hope it doesn?t happen again.
What else? Let?s see? LeAnn was tweeting and Instagramming like crazy yesterday, because she just can?t help herself. Eddie had to follow her around too. I wonder if she played up some phantom injury? LeAnn also has a new interview ? go here to read. There?s nothing major in there, she says she likes candles and she?s been very organized with her Christmas presents this year. She basically says that her marriage to Eddie is the best Christmas present ever, saying: ?It puts so much perspective into what a gift that (relationship) is and I get to have it every day. I know it sounds cheesy, but it’s true.? Blah.

Here are some assorted photos of Reese Witherspoon out and about in NYC yesterday. She did an interview with GMA and a screening of Wild. She really, really wants an Oscar nomination, obviously, and she?s going full hustle for it. There is a question, in my mind, about this current Oscar hustle being something like a ?comeback? for Reese. She?s not putting herself out there like it?s a ?comeback,? probably because she doesn?t want people to think that she was ever at a low point. But she?s really hoping that she puts last year?s liquor-soaked arrest behind her.
It was last year?s arrest ? and the fact that we could watch the whole video of the American Citizen?s utter meltdown ? that really changed public perception of Reese. Still, I guess most PR people have told Reese that she?s back in the public?s good graces (because she?s blonde and sugary, obviously) and that she doesn?t need to change her behavior, even though it was perfectly clear that Reese and Jim Toth are both total boozehounds these days. It wouldn?t be Christmas if Mariah Carey wasn?t scheduled to perform ?All I Want For Christmas Is You? ten million times at multiple events around the country. Hiring Mariah for a Christmas event is a no-brainer. But at this point, producers have also got to know that Mariah is ALL DRAMA. People realize that, right? I mean, there?s no one going into negotiations with Mariah thinking, ?Oh, this is going to be a breezy and utterly professional transaction,? right? So guess what happened with Mariah’s scheduled performance at Rockefeller Center this week:
Mariah Carey seemed to be the mother of all divas Tuesday as she kept her fans waiting in the freezing rain in front of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree ? but sources blame it on estranged hubby Nick Cannon?s legal team for keeping her tied up in custody talks. Sources close to Carey say it was all Nick?s fault that Carey showed up three hours late to Rock Center, where the audience had already left, and NBC execs angrily told her to go home.
Carey had a 7 p.m. call time Tuesday to pretape ?All I Want for Christmas Is You? for the 82nd annual ?Christmas in Rockefeller Center? tree-lighting show airing Wednesday. ?She was going to be backed by an adorable troupe of child dancers clad head-to-toe in snow-white winter-wear,? a source told The Post?s Kirsten Fleming.
She?d also been scheduled for a 9 p.m. taped promo that would have featured her riding in a horse and carriage on Fifth Avenue, for which NBC had a permit to close traffic lanes. Instead, Carey was holed up in a nearby hotel room on the phone with Cannon?s team, arguing over custody of twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott.
?The talks were about custody and seeing their kids,? a source told Page Six, adding that it was Cannon?s team that made Mariah late. ?What she went through was ridiculous. People in [Cannon?s] camp knew full well where she had to be. She had even stayed in a hotel a block away because she was worried about traffic.?
But once Carey finally arrived, ?NBC had enough and canceled her after twiddling their thumbs for hours. After the network pulled the plug, the singer made frantic cellphone calls begging NBC to ?bring the audience back.?
By 10:30 p.m., most fans, who had been issued free tickets to support the 20th anniversary of the release of Carey?s ?All I Want for Christmas Is You? had trudged home and the production crew had packed up. Carey tweeted on Wednesday, ?Last night?s situation was beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you.?
But NBC confirmed Carey was still performing live Wednesday to open the national broadcast. Carey?s rep declined to comment on her ?personal life.? Cannon?s lawyer didn?t get back to us.

It might be true that Nick?s lawyers kept Mariah tied up beyond her control. It?s also possible that the legal meeting could have literally been scheduled for any other time besides ?just before Mariah was scheduled to sing a pre-taped appearance.? Some people just manufacture drama because that?s where they live, because that?s where they?re most comfortable.
Anyway, here?s Mariah?s live performance last night at the Christmas Tree lighting? I read some bad criticism of Mariah?s performance, but it really wasn?t awful? I mean, there are some notes that she?s struggles with these days, but it really wasn?t bad. The most offensive thing to me is that Mariah makes Christmas all about her boobs.

He?s the purveyor of all things cool and rumor has it that David Beckham is in talks with Global Brands Group for a new line of men?s casual sportswear.
Per a WWD report, Bruce Rockowitz, vice chairman of GBG, told Hong Kong press that he ?will be joined by a special guest? at a press conference on Wednesday (December 3).
Additionally, Becks is said to have arrived in Asia earlier this week, leading to all kinds of speculation that David is Bruce?s mystery guest.
If Beckham indeed signs on with Global Brands Group, the deal will further solidify his status as a huge presence in the apparel industry. He already has collaborations with H&M, Coty and Adidas.
