As you guys know, Kendall Jenner is the only Kardashian/Jenner I can stomach. They all make me sick and are disgusting. And I hate that there are some chicks who try to look like them. Anyway, Kendall needs to step up her game because shoots like this bore me and serve no purpose. Its not []

| Alicia Silverstone says her son has 'never had to take medicine' due to their veganism | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Alicia Silverstone did an interview with Page Six when she was speaking at a Good Housekeeping sustainability conference. Shes also promoting her new vitamin line. Alicia talked about being a vegan and how theres a greater awareness and understanding of it now. She also told them that her son Bear, 7, hasnt had to take medication ever, which she credits to their veganism. The last time I covered her she was giving Womens Health a tour of her fridge and emphasizing the versatility of tofu. This is her thing and shes passionate about it.
She credits veganism with keeping her son healthy.
?He?s never had to take medicine in his life,? she told Page Six of her 7-year-old son, Bear, on Thursday. ?He can get sniffles and a runny nose but he?s not down, he still goes to school. Two times in his life has he been like ?Mommy I don?t feel good,? and it was only for a few hours and he was back running around.?
Her big indulgence is granola
?I can?t keep it in the house,? she said. ?I let [ex-husband and Bear?s father] Christopher [Jarecki] have it at his house. I?ll make it and then give it to him because if it?s in the house, I can?t stop eating it.?
On being vegan for over 20 years
?I remember when I would go on David Letterman and go on Jay Leno and they?d be like ?Vegan?! What?s a vegan?? And they would just make a whole fun riff on it because it was like I was an alien, no one was talking about being vegan on television,? she recalled.
?I?m just so excited that there are people in the world that see it,? she explained. ?Maybe they?re going to take baby steps to get there [but] that?s a way better place then being like ?Are you OK? Are you gonna die??
[From Page Six]
To be fair to her, shes not saying medicine is bad or that other moms shouldnt give it to their kids. Shes only saying her son has been mildly sick just twice and thats it. I get not wanting to over medicate your child or use Tylenol for every headache and sniffle, but I also want to make sure my son is comfortable and doesnt suffer needlessly. Modern medicine has its drawbacks for sure but the infant and child death rate was extremely high up until the 20th century. Lets not go back there. Hopefully she would take Bear to the doctor if he was ever very sick and hopefully he has his vaccinations, although I doubt that. Ive read that her parenting book, The Kind Mama, is antivax. At least she doesnt continue to talk about that. As for the other stuff she says, its a little extreme to tout veganism as a cure all but eating more vegetables and whole foods is a good thing.

| Kim Kardashian hired 'private firefighters' to save her home & her neighbors' homes | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

At various times, I stopped keeping up with Kardashian real estate. I suspect that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West still own several homes in Los Angeles, and I know that they have one main home which is sparsely decorated, and that?s where Kim and the kids stay most of the time. I think that?s the Hidden Hills mansion, the one Kimye spent years renovating. Well, because rich people are rich, they can afford things like? private firefighters?!?!? Apparently, that?s a thing. And after reading this, I can?t really hate on the private firefighters?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting major props from their neighbors for staving off the devastating Woolsey wildfire with the help of their private team of firefighters. TMZ broke the story, the blaze started to creep up on Kim and Kanyes Hidden Hills mansion Friday after a mandatory evacuation of the area. The couples home sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and borders a field meaning if their place went up in flames, it would start a domino effect on the whole neighborhood.
Sources tell us Kim and Kanye hired a private team to battle the flames on their property. The team was armed with hoses, and also tirelessly dug ditches to create a fire break. Ultimately, they successfully saved the Wests $60 million house and countless others on the block. We spoke with a few neighbors who are thanking the Wests for putting a team on the front lines and saving their homes. As we reported Kim posted video of the fires as she flew into L.A. Thursday the family stayed at a nearby hotel during the evacuations.
[From TMZ]
I live in a area with a bare-bones fire department of only a handful of full-time firefighters, but there are neighborhoods full of voluntary firefighters. You know? Those are the guys that have other jobs, who are always on call and will pick up a fire hose at a moment?s notice. I get that California is different, and there are always so many fires, so of course the LAFD is probably huge and fully-staffed full-time, and in addition to that, they have volunteer firefighters. My point is that? where do you find private firefighters when it seems like all of the salaried and volunteer firefighters are already working? Other than that, good for Kim for hiring them and taking it seriously and saving the neighborhood.

| Sandra Bullock and James Woods step in to save animals during California wildfires | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

California is in the midst of another round of firestorms. There are three fires destroying hundreds of thousands of acres and lives: the Camp Fire in Northern California, the Hill Fire in Malibu and the Woosley Fire in Venture and Northern Los Angeles Counties. The state is still reeling from the aftermath of the fires last December, as are our firefighters and first responders. The amount of loss is beyond comprehension. Outgoing governor, Jerry Brown, said of the crisis, ?This is the new abnormal.? It?s tragic and painful and although I am truly lucky not to be physically affected by it, I am deeply emotionally affected and cannot properly express how sorry I am to any of you or yours that have been devastated in this disaster.
However, I will try my best to spread some more positive news to help us through this, starting with Sandra Bullock. The Humane Society of Ventura County announced yesterday that Sandra donated $100,000 to them directly to help with misplaced pets and animals.
Sandra Bullock has made a $100,000 donation to the Humane Society of Ventura County to help provide care for animals evacuated in the California wildfires.
In a heartfelt post on their Facebook page, the care shelter thanked the Oscar winner for her generosity and explained how her donation will help in the wildfire relief efforts. The Humane Society of Ventura County was deeply humbled today by a $100,000 donation from Sandra Bullock and family, the post reads. Our efforts for rescuing and caring for evacuated animals from the Hill and Woolsey fires had caught her attention and her team reached out to the shelter to show their support.
Sandra Bullock and her family have reached out to other nonprofit organizations both during this incident and in the past, the post continues. However, this time she wanted to contribute to those on the frontline rescuing animals in peril and hope others will choose to do the same.
[From E!]
Sandra has made several generous donations throughout her career. She does her research and pinpoints specifically where she wants her money to go. What some folks may not realize is exactly how fast these fires are whipping through these areas, especially with the aid of the Santa Ana Winds. If a pet gets spooked and bolts, there may not be time to go after it. In addition, people live in these areas so they can properly house large animals or numbers of animals. And those who have fled may not have a place that allows pets to stay. The shelters are bursting with new pets and some have had to find satellite locations. And when the fires are contained (God bless each and every person fighting them), these shelters will still be dealing with lost or misplaced animals for months to come. So a sizable donation such as Sandras will do a lot of good to an incredibly taxed facility.
I am so grateful to Sandra and everyone who has reached out to help, whether directly or by spreading news. Someone else who deserves credit is actor James Woods, who has turned his Twitter feed into a central location for fire information. James, who was on the East Coast when the fires started raging, created a series of hashtags to help spread information like missing persons and pets, pleas, tips and hotlines, Good Samaritans offering services or shelter and updates on those found and reunited. He directly assisted Alyssa Milano in getting her five horses evacuated. Say what you want about Californians being the land of Fruits and Nuts, but when the cards are down, there?s nothing flakey about us.
These fires are terrifying and devastating. Anyone looking for updates and info, @RealJamesWoods is posting a ton of helpful stuff. Thanks, James. Praying for everyone involved. And to the @LAFD keep up the amazingly courageous and heroic work. Thank you!
