Rose Byrne is an in-demand actress who works constantly and consistently. She had one low-key pregnancy and gave birth to son Rocco with her partner Bobby Cannavale and she even got jobs during her pregnancy. Throughout her career, she?s almost always had brown hair for almost all of her roles. I think she?s had a few jobs where she was a redhead, maybe. My point is that I?ve never seen her with blonde hair before, and I was so startled by the color change that I didn?t recognize her and I though Bobby was dating someone new.
Bobby and Rose attended last night?s opening-night party for the play Lifespan Of a Fact, which is (I think) Bobby?s new play. They live in New York and Rose has completely immersed herself in New York life with Bobby and Rocco, by the way. She?s basically Italian-American at this point, despite the fact that she?s really just an elegant-looking Aussie girl. It was at this opening night party that Rose debuted her blonde locks. Is this for a role? I don?t know she has three films in post-production on her IMDB page, so maybe.
I?m obsessed with trying to figure out who she looks like, because she absolutely does not look like Rose Byrne. From some angles, she suddenly looks like Ellie Goulding, right? Also: her dress in these photos is Les Coyotes de Paris.

If you were curious as to which star is returning to Las Vegas for a new residency, I have three words for you: it?s Britney, bitch.
In news that really isn?t very surprising, as reports have been floating around since April, the 36-year-old singer is returning to Sin City for a new residency at the Park Theater. This has also been the Vegas home to artists CHER, Bruno Mars and Ricky Martin and is where Lady Gaga has an upcoming extended run.
To help generate excitement for the new show, Britney was on Ellen last Friday. When Ellen asked why she was there, Brit replied, ?I have a huge announcement to make. My announcement is that I have an announcement.? Ellen followed up with, ?What is the announcement of the announcement?? to which Britney replied with a smile, ?I can?t announce it until October 18.?
The announcement was made yesterday during a press event commemorating Spirit Day, part of GLAAD?s ongoing anti-LGBTQ bullying initiative. It took place at Toshiba Plaza at the front of T-Mobile Arena and was broadcast live on Ellen?s YouTube channel.
The new show?s anticipated 2019 opening coincides with the 20th anniversary of Britney?s debut album Baby One More Time.
This residency also comes with a hefty paycheck for Brit. Her previous residency, Piece of Me at Planet Hollywood, grossed more than $137 million during its four-year run. With the Park Theater deal, it?s rumored that she will be earning an estimated $507,000 per show, making her the highest-paid entertainer in Vegas history, surpassing Mariah Carey, Elton John and Celine Dion. Hopefully she can use some of that money to get some decent-looking costumes.
Some fans might think Britney is selling out by performing in Vegas, but I say make that money, honey. She?s done her time on the road with the Piece of Me Tour, so she deserves the chance to stay in one place for a while. Besides, while she might not be the most talented singer, her heart is in the right place. As an LBGTQ ally myself, I wish her all the best.

Here are some photos from last night?s BFI London Film Festival premiere of The Favourite, an interesting-looking dramedy-farce/period piece. Olivia Colman stars as Queen Anne, a neurotic mess of a monarch. Rachel Weisz plays Lady Sarah, who runs the country, and Emma Stone plays a young, charming lady who befriends Lady Sarah and the Queen. Hijinks and palace intrigues ensue. It actually looks like a great movie and I?m really looking forward to it. I?m looking forward to it despite the fact that few of the ladies are really making the promotional tour into a fashion show. Emma can always be counted on to wear something worth discussing, but the rest of the cast? My lord.
Emma Stone wore this silver Louis Vuitton gown I like the simplicity and minimalism of this dress, and I like that it acts as a more neutral palette for the drama of Emma?s makeup. That being said, I think she was too heavy-handed with the makeup. Did she need silver eyeshadow AND burgundy-black lips? No, she didn?t.
Olivia Colman also wore silver, and this is possibly the most unflattering thing I?ve ever seen. I don?t need to see Olivia in some va-va-voom gown, but she definitely needs something with more structure. This looks like a potato sack.
Rachel Weisz gave birth to a baby girl recently, and this is I believe? her first postpartum appearance on a red carpet. She has that look of ?I?d rather be home with the baby.? Her dress is Alexander McQueen and I imagine she wore it because it was the first thing she tried on that fit.
And finally, here?s Joe Alwyn. He has a supporting role in the film, and he wore a Prada suit to the premiere. His dodgy facial hair has gotten longer since we last saw him. It?s not a good look. I think maybe he?s one of those guys who worries about having a baby face so he tries to grow a beard but it comes in all patchy and gross, so it would probably just be better if he shaved and continued looking like a 16-year-old. Also: I find it hard to believe that Taylor Swift would EVER greenlight a neckbeard. Please give Tay some credit.

Last month, the news broke about next year?s Super Bowl Halftime performers: the NFL had apparently signed up Maroon 5, and they would be performing at the Super Bowl in Atlanta. Atlanta, the same city in the midst of a black Renaissance, where dozens of hugh rap, hip-hop, gospel and soul performers live. The NFL is getting a bunch of white dude-bros to perform. So obviously, everyone knew it was a problem, and that?s why there?s also a rumor going around that the NFL is desperate to bring in Cardi B as a ?guest? to perform alongside Maroon 5.
Most of us myself included thought the Maroon 5 hire was just a random, dumb choice by the NFL. The NFL has proven over and over that they are utterly tone-deaf on everything from racial issues, domestic violence issues to mere integrity of the sport, so many of us assumed the Maroon 5 choice was just the ?do no harm? pick. Well, as it turns out, the Maroon 5 hire was more complicated than simple white-bro tunnel-vision. According to Us Weekly, the NFL tried to hire Rihanna. She turned them down? because of Colin Kaepernick.
Rihanna stands with Kap. The ?Work? singer declined an offer to headline the Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show because she ?supports Colin Kaepernick,? a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.
?The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year?s performer in Atlanta,? the insider reveals. ?They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn?t agree with the NFL?s stance.?
Kaepernick, who once admitted to having a crush on Rihanna, was the first NFL player to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, 30, has not played since stirring controversy during the 2016 season. He filed a grievance against the league and its owners in November 2017, accusing them of colluding to keep him off the field. After Rihanna, 30, rebuffed the halftime offer, the NFL extended it to Maroon 5. Us Weekly broke the news in September that the Adam Levine-fronted pop-rock group gleefully accepted.

You know who ends up looking like a total douchenozzle here? Adam Levine and the dudes of Maroon 5. Rihanna is this incredible badass who looked white supremacy in the face and said ?nah bitch.? Adam Levine was too much of a sellout and corporate shill to even question if his branding would be hurt by siding with the NFL rather than Colin Kaepernick. Anyway, just another reason to love Rihanna she knows she would make money off performing at the Super Bowl. She knows she would kill it and it would be her most-watched performance of all time. She still didn?t care, because it would have meant going against something she believes in: the right for Colin Kaepernick and every single person to protest and speak his or her mind.
