Taking care of some international promotional duties, Bar Refaeli showed up in Basel, Switzerland on Wednesday evening (March 18).
The newly-engaged Israeli supermodel smiled for the press as she plugged the Hublot booth during Baselworld 2015, sporting a snazzy floor-length black dress.
In career news, Bar is slated to judge a contest for American college students who pledge support for Israel. Participants will film ?short, creative videos that display their love of Israel,? and then Miss Refaeli and a panel of peers will sort out the top finalists.

Blake Lively has a feature in the new issue of O Magazine, likely as some early promotion for her first film role in years, in The Age of Adeline. Have you seen the trailers for The Age of Adeline? I?m not impressed. But the costumes look cute. And that?s probably enough ? plus the fact that she?s now part of the Motherhood Industrial Complex – to get Blake several major magazine covers for April and May. She didn?t score the cover of O Mag (only Oprah gets the cover!!), but O Mag did do a photoshoot with Blake. I don?t understand why her mouth is open? Do we have to make SexyFace even for OPRAH?!
Anyway, in the O Magazine interview, Blake talks about eating and knitting and how of course she loves to do some work on her motorcycle. She?s sort of like The Cool Girl?s cousin, The Cool Wife. All about food and child-rearing and letting her husband ?teach? her how to do fun stuff that he likes to do. Some highlights:
Her stress-relievers: “I’ll knit or cook ? or work on a motorcycle, a skill my husband is teaching me. One of my latest projects was painting nature-inspired throw pillows.”
How she spends a day off: “Walking through New York City. It’s constantly changing. I’ll go back to an area I visited four years ago, and it’s completely different. But that’s a good thing because it means there will always be new neighborhoods to eat my way through.”
On her best childhood memory: “My mom liked to infuse my life with a lot of magic. When she read my fortune cookies, the predictions were full of princesses and castles and jewels and pirates. When I got old enough to read them, I was shocked to find out how boring they really were!”
On her favorite quick recipe: “Hot fudge sundae. But forget the fake syrupy stuff; Melt down a bar of chocolate, mix it into some warmed up whipping cream, and put it on top of ice cream. Add some sprinkles, and you’ve got a delicious treat.”

Well? okay. I?m going to try to be less nitpicky about Blake, so I?ll give her this: I like how she consistently talks about enjoying all kinds of food. I?m sure she eats mostly healthy food, but I also get the feeling that all of her cupcakes/cookies/sundaes talk is for real, that she will sit down and eat buttery popcorn and top it off with a small ice cream sundae, because life?s too short. And I like that about her, really. I get tired of self-appointed health-monitoring celebrities trying to convince me that kale smoothies are the height of indulgence.
Last thing: painting nature-inspired throw pillows? She totally spoiled the next Preserve essay!!!!

Jetting off to the Lone Star State, Rihanna joined forces with Jim Parsons to plug their new movie ?Home? at the Cinemark theater in Plano, Texas on Tuesday (March 17).
Joined by Cheryl Jackson, the ?Umbrella? singer and the ?Big Bang Theory? stud chatted with a few lucky fans and posed for photos ahead of the main event.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is looking forward to unleashing her Kanye West-produced new album, especially given that the songs are more meaningful than prior releases- ?I?ve made a lot of songs that are just really, really big. I wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever, that I could perform in 15 years. I find that when I get on stage now, I don?t want to perform a lot of my songs because they don?t feel like me. So I want to make songs that are timeless.?

Here are some photos of LeAnn Rimes and David Gray leaving a BBC radio station yesterday, on St. Patrick?s Day. I didn?t realize this ? because I only look at LeAnn?s social media every so often ? but LeAnn has been in London for several days now. She?s trying to make the hashtag #LeInLondon happen. It?s not happening.
First, some background about LeAnn?s relationship to David Gray. They?ve known each other for a few years, I guess. Last year, LeAnn went to Phoenix, Arizona specifically to do a duet with Gray and to let everyone in the audience know that she was there ? she was called out on a local radio show for her ?extreme rudeness? in singing louder than Gray while she was seated in the audience ? go here to read the recap of that mess.
In any case, she still has some kind of working, professional relationship with Gray and now they?re doing duets together in London. Here?s LeAnn?s Instagram video of their performance on BBC Radio 2.

I?m trying to remember if I?ve ever used the phrase ?the common woman? in all seriousness. I think I might have written it sarcastically, to make fun of some peasant-shading elitist, but I can?t say that it?s a phrase that comes rolling off the (peasant) tongue for me. But then again, I?m not constantly defending myself against charges of unbridled elitism. To be fair to Gwyneth Paltrow, she was not the first person in this CNN Money interview ? she was asked how she thinks she has anything to say to ?the common woman.? As in, the CNN interviewer asked her that. So? while I?m not giving Gwyneth a total pass, I think she was just rephrasing the question. I also think she truly believes that she has an enormous amount in common with the commoners. Some assorted quotes from Gwyneth?s CNN interview:
The purpose of Goop: “What we try to do at Goop is curate and to edit. We know that a woman’s time is her most precious resource and we want to multitask, get a lot done, and what we want to do is provide the best solutions.?
The common woman: “I’m incredibly close to the common woman in that I’m a woman and I’m a mother and we all are in a physical body with beating hearts with compassion and love we are all seekers?we all want fulfillment, we all want to live our best lives. We want to be healthy and happy and squeeze the most we can out of life. I think that’s all women.”
The perception that Goop is only for rich people: ?I always say that when people make that false assumption, it?s because people haven?t actually gone to the site and seen what we?re selling and seen what we?re about? I think the idea is that we?re going to find the best thing and where it is at any price point.?
Don?t call her a lifestyle guru: “I see myself as an actor and a mother and as an entrepreneur. I don’t see myself as a guru at all. I’m not a guru because I’m the one asking the questions. I’m not purporting to know anything.”

She certainly has her talking points down ? she said some similar things in her recent Wall Street Journal interview too. Do you really think Gwyneth Paltrow is down with the common woman? I think it?s interesting that she?s trying to seem like she is. I think it?s interesting that this is her new image. She?s no longer the snotty elitist deigning to speak to the common people, she?s trying to say that we are all women and we all go through the same crap. Are you buying it? And by ?buying it? I mean ?$5000 Goop-curated booty shorts.?

Back in the day, I had such a big crush on Dylan McDermott. It was in the ?90s, in my defense. Everyone loves Dylan McDermott back then. And Dylan still looks remarkably good for his age (or any age): he?s 53 years old! Dylan and Rob Lowe, man. They?re vampires. They still look pretty much the same as they did 20 years ago. Anyway, Dylan met Maggie Q while they were working on CBS?s Stalker. As far as I know, they were both single and ready to mingle, and that?s exactly what happened. They mingled all the way into an engagement! Maggie ? who is 35 years old ? confirmed the engagement news yesterday.
To be fair, the engagement story has been around for a few months. Apparently, this whole thing was a ?whirlwind? romance. They started dating last October and he proposed within a few months. The first engagement reports came out in January and on Monday night, Maggie and Dylan walked the Insurgent carpet while she flashed her ring.
In red carpet interviews and on The View yesterday, Maggie confirmed some other stuff about their romance ? she said that her dog has ?accepted? Dylan into their lives too. She said she wanted an Art Deco engagement ring and that?s what she got. She told E! that: ?I wanted art deco, and I got it. You know, I think we always have to be involved [in ring shopping] in some way?his idea was the marriage and my idea was the style of the ring.? She said they haven?t set a wedding date yet.
So, what do you think? Is this couple a snooze? Or would you like to hear more about them? I guess it?s somewhat notable that he?s 18 years older than her, but it doesn?t seem too crazy considering she?s well into her 30s and she knows what she?s getting into. This coupling reminds me a bit of Tim Daly and Tea Leoni ? they?re old enough to know what they?re doing, no one got homewrecked, and everything seems fine and non-scandalous.

Back in October of last year, we heard that Jude Law was expecting his FIFTH child by a third baby-mama. Jude has three kids with ex-wife Sadie Frost, plus a daughter, Sophia, with his one-time hookup Samantha Burke. And now the third baby-mama has given birth. This lady is Catherine Harding (stage name: Cat Cavelli) and she?s only 23 or 24 years old. They had a daughter, name unknown.
Jude Law is a father again. The actor and his ex Catherine Harding have welcomed a baby girl, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
?I can confirm the arrival of Jude Law and Catherine Harding?s daughter,? Law?s rep said in a statement Tuesday. ?Both are delighted and continue to ask that their privacy and that of their child be respected.?
Law, 42, who has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost (sons Rafferty, 18, and Rudy, 12, and daughter Iris, 14) and another daughter, Sophia, 5, with model Samantha Burke, confirmed that he was expecting a fifth child (his first with the singer-songwriter) in October.
?Whilst they are no longer in a relationship, they are both wholeheartedly committed to raising their child,? the actor?s rep said in a statement at the time.

Well? congrats to them. I think this was probably handled better than the Samantha Burke situation, mostly because Burke seemed to think that Jude was going to drop everything to be with her and the baby while all he really wanted was a paternity test. It sounds like Jude and Catherine were legitimately dating for at least a few months. And I guess Jude either hates condoms or he?s just super-fertile and no birth control can hold back his swimmers. Jude?s paychecks must be going entirely to child support at this point. Yikes.
