| Emilia Clarke in a rich, jewel-tone Valentino at the Emmys: gorgeous or blah? | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Everyone knew that the Best Drama Emmy would undoubtedly go to Game of Thrones for their final season. Even though the final season was controversial (and stupid), Emmy voters fell in love with the show and it?s fine. I was sad to see that Peter Dinklage was the only actor who won anything for GoT though. Maybe Emilia Clarke wasn?t the best actress at the start of the show, but by the end of it, she broke my heart all the time. Emilia wore this Valentino gown to GoT?s last Emmys. I saw Tom & Lorenzo call this look ?boob suspenders? and now I can?t get that out of my head. I honestly don?t mind this dress at all the color is gorgeous and she?s beautiful in it. The styling made it pop: those David Webb ?80s-style earrings were absolutely perfect. Her makeup was gorgeous too.
Gwendoline Christie wore this Gucci Jesus look and truly, we live in such bizarre times. Gwendoline has such an amazing and weird sense of style, I thought for sure she would choose some giant avant-garde ball gown or something. But instead we get Gucci?s high-fashion take on Jesus?s peasant robes. I?m also a little bit sad that Gwen didn?t win anything (ever) at the Emmys for her amazing performance as Brienne of Tarth.
This was Kit Harington?s first red carpet appearance since his detox and rehab stay just after Game of Thrones ended this year. He looked good, I thought. He looked healthy and sober. I do think it?s interesting that his wife Rose Leslie didn?t join him though.

| Sophie Turner in pink Louis Vuitton at the Emmys: almost Grace Kelly-esque? | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are more photos of the Game of Thrones peeps at the Emmys. While some of these actors will likely get nominated for other Emmys or be part of Emmy-nominated shows, all of them know that this moment was special their last Emmys for GoT. I wasn?t crazy about Sophie Turner?s Louis Vuitton look on the carpet last night, but the dress photographs well, doesn?t it? You can see the pale Pink of the dress better and Sophie looks so striking. Not bad at all.
Maisie Williams in JW Anderson this is cute! I expect offbeat stuff from her, so this seems almost too normal.
Carice van Houten in Ronald Van Der Kemp: a total mess, or actually kind of interesting? I can?t decide.
Lena Headey in Brock Collection surprised me I?m used to seeing her in darker looks, something with an edge. This is so pretty on her! She looked great.
And finally, Peter Dinklage the only GoT actor to win anything at the Emmys.

| Rachel Brosnahan in Elie Saab at the Emmys: one of the best looks of the night? | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Rachel Brosnahan in Elie Saab, and for a moment everyone thought Evan Rachel Wood was on the carpet. But no, they just look like sisters when Rachel?s hair is lighter. This Elie Saab gown is great, honestly. One of the best looks of the evening, in my opinion.
Jenny McCarthy was an absolute mess Fox hired her to do red carpet interviews for their pre-show. I?ll be completely fair: Jenny actually did her research and she knew what to talk about with people and she knew who was nominated and who wasn?t. That being said, can we not hire these anti-Vaxxers for sh-t? She wore Alexander McQueen and boots and it was awful.
Isla Fisher in Zuhair Murad, with her husband Sacha Baron Cohen. Hate the dress. Don?t care for Sacha either.
Ava DuVernay wore a custom Reem Acra gown and arrived with the real Exonerated Five (formerly the Central Park Five): Yusef Salaam, Anton McCray, Kevin Richardson, Korey Wise and Raymond Santana. One of the best moments on the red carpet was when Ava rolled up to Giuliana Rancic on the E! Red Carpet and Giuliana knew each man?s name. Ava was impressed, and you could tell that Giuliana had seen When They See Us and had been very moved by it.

| Michelle Williams won in a great, colorful Louis Vuitton at the Emmys | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Honestly, I love everything about Michelle Williams these days. I now see her as one of the best actresses of her generation, that?s how good she was in Fosse/Verdon. Her style has finally changed too she dressed like a sophisticated woman in her 30s, as opposed to a Civil War ghost or her usual virgin-widow-bride style. Louis Vuitton does so many women dirty, but they really gave Michelle a great dress for the Emmys: it?s simple and beautiful and it suits her. The color is great on her too.
Michelle ended up winning the Best Actress Emmy for the Fosse/Verdon miniseries. Well-deserved, again she was phenomenal in it. In her speech, Michelle spoke about how she received equal pay and equal respect at every part of the production:
"My bosses never presumed to know better than I did about what I needed in order to do my job and honor Gwen Verdon." #FosseVerdonFX star Michelle Williams thanks her studios during her acceptance speech for lead actress in a limited series https://t.co/WmT1Fmyol4 #Emmys pic.twitter.com/DDF1ONJV7Z

| Mandy Moore, Marisa Tomei and so many women were in pink and red at the Emmys | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Im going to attempt to include as many Pink and red looks from last night as I can find but Ill surely miss a few. Well have full Emmys fashion coverage this morning and our method is somewhat haphazard. First off heres Mandy Moore in Brandon Maxwell. She combined the trends of giant dresses with reams of fabric with the other big trend, Pink and red. This was a color combination I never anticipated and I dont hate it, I just dont think I could pull it off. That doesnt mean I wont try though. Mandys styling was a bit Valley of The Dolls, as my girl @Kaiser wrote on twitter, but it goes with this dress.
Everyone is talking about how Mandy was twinning with her co-star Susan Kelechi Watson, who was in Rubin Singer. Mandy even posted to Instagram about it. Her gown is just a column dress with puff sleeves, but her styling is lovely. This is Us was nominated in several categories but didnt win in any.

| Julia Louis-Dreyfus was in gold but didn't make Emmys history last night | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Veep didnt take home any Emmys for its seventh and final season. Its been nominated 59 times and has 17 wins, so Im sure theyre not broken up about it at all. When the cast presented on stage Julia deadpanned that she thought she was supposed to present alone, which was awesome. Then when she presented with Tony Hale they joked about her loss while they were both in character and I loved it. Julia didnt beat Cloris Leachmans record for most acting Emmys but she has plenty of time. Im sure shell get another starring role on a series, whether its cable or streaming.
Julia was in gold sequin Oscar de la Renta. She often plays it safe with her fashion so I loved to see her vamping it up. The color could have been a little bolder, but thats minor. In her two purple carpet interviews, on E! and Fox, Julia admitted that she was nervous. You couldnt tell at all when she was on stage. Shes such a seasoned actress.
Presenter and nominee Amy Poehler was also in gold, in a Greta Constantine jumpsuit with a black tie. I enjoyed seeing the pants and jumpsuits at the Emmys, but this is cut oddly. I like the top thought and think it would work separately with cigarette pants. Also she overaccessorized.
Nominee Natasha Lyonne was in a Gucci gold lam&eatute; look that just covered her head to toe. I might like this gown if the top wasnt so fussy. It doesnt need bishop sleeves AND a giant dippy bow. Also, I didnt realize that Amy Poehler was a co-writer on Russian Doll, which was robbed. At least it got nominated in several categories. So many people gave up on that show after the first episode as the dialogue was too smarty pants, but I stuck with it on Hecates recommendation and am so glad I did.
