Looking fabulous on a regular weekday morning, Alessandra Ambrosio walked her daughter to school in Santa Monica on Thursday morning (February 21).
The Victoria's Secret Angel sported a long-sleeved black top, black jacket, and white and black skinnies with Louboutin buckled boots as she held little Anja's hand.
Perhaps practicing their best catwalk moves, the 4-year-old recently joined her mom on a big photoshoot.
Following in her 31-year-old mother's footsteps, Anja was snapped in behind-the-scenes photos with Alessandra in London Fog's spring 2013 campaign.

Michael Bay dropped Megan Fox from the third installment ofTransformers because she compared him to a socially retarded Hitler. He claimed Steven Spielberg made him do it but Spielberg denies he ever said such a thing.
But since Megan Fox needs a job and Michael Bay needs another one of his Ferraris washedfor his spank bank, they’re collaborating on the live action reboot ofTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Bay confirmed the news on his website Thursday, “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!” “Family,” being the Third Reich or whatever.
As for who Fox will be playing, Variety says she’ll be the new April O’Neil. The reporter all the Ninja Turtles have a crush on but who they can never get with because she only dates her own kind. That’s racist!

After eight years of domestic disputes and drunk and disorderly charges, Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to call it quits. According to Us Magazine:
“Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage,” reps for the couple [said in a statement]. The couple, who married in August 2004, parted ways a few months ago. They have no children together.
“It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable,” a source [revealed]. “It’s not ugly, it’s just over.”
Good for her. Josh Brolin is a narcissistic pig and she’s better off without him. And according to the bumper sticker I saw in the carpool line this morning, 2013 is the Year of the Cougar, baby!

Did you know Ethan Hawke has been nominated for an Oscar twice? True story. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for Training Day, and then he was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for Before Sunset in 2005. So? Ethan has been around award shows and stuff, and he?s been a working actor for decades (he?s 42 years old right now). Does the fact that he?s been a working actor and an Oscar-nominated actor and writer mean that he gets to criticize the awards shows and the industry? Because he is.
Joaquin Phoenix called the Oscars bulls – - t this year. But ?The Master? star isn?t the only actor taking exception to the annual awards.
Ethan Hawke says in the new issue of Gotham magazine, ?People want to turn everything in this country into a competition . . . [so] it?s clear who the winner is and who the loser is.?
The two-time nominee adds: ?It?s why they like to announce the grosses of movies, because it?s a way of saying, ?This one is No. 1.? It?s so asinine . . . if you look at how many forgettable, stupid movies have won Oscars and how many mediocre performers have Oscars above their fireplace. Making a priority of chasing these fake carrots and money and dubious accolades, I think it?s really destructive.?

Maybe I?m an Ethan Hawke apologist (true story), but I actually think Ethan?s comments are more nuanced than Joaquin Phoenix?s expletive-filled rant last year, in which Phoenix said: ?I think it?s bullsh-t? I don?t want to be a part of it. I don?t believe in it. It?s a carrot, but it?s the worst-tasting carrot I?ve ever tasted in my whole life. I don?t want this carrot. It?s totally subjective. Pitting people against each other . . . It?s the stupidest thing in the whole world.?
Ethan is making it less about the Oscar campaigns in general and more about the (American?) need to declare a winner and a loser, and how the award doesn?t necessarily mean you were ?the best?. That being said, it sounds like Ethan has a case of the sore-loser-syndrome. Because you know what?s interesting if you nit-pick what Ethan says? That he?s a judgy bitch who judges when ?mediocre actors? get awards, meaning he DOES adhere to some kind of system in which he ranks the quality of actors. Which defeats his point about winners and losers.

Has Megan Fox successfully rebranded herself as a comedienne, character actress and ensemble player? Her career definitely faltered for a few years after she was shoved off the Transformers franchise after she referred to Michael Bay as ?like Hitler? and ?like Napoleon?. Michael Bay always claimed Steven Spielberg made him fire Megan, but Megan and Michael always had a tortured, melodramatic and sketchy working relationship, perhaps because Michael only gave Megan the part in Transformers because she washed his Ferrari while he filmed her. Anyway, there was no love lost between those two brats, so this news is very interesting? they?re going to work together again!
After pushing production to do more work on the script, Paramount’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot looks back on track as the studio has tapped Megan Fox to star as April O’Neil. Jonathan Liebesman will direct with Michael Bay producing through his Platinum Dunes banner. Michael Bay tweeted the news on his blog.
Original 1984 Mirage Studios’ comicbook “TMNT” centered on four turtles who are turned humanoid through contact with radioactive slime, and trained in martial arts by their humanoid rat master. Bay stirred controversy with fans of the comicbook-based franchise when he said the reimagined series would have alien elements.
The reason for the original delay was because the filmmakers and studio felt they wouldn’t be ready for a October 2012 shoot date. Prior to the holidays, the studio began meeting with actresses such as Jane Levy, Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Olsen and the studio will now aim to find its male lead.
The studio, Bay and Fox have a relationship going back to when the two worked together on the first two “Transformer” films. The ICM Partners repped Fox was last seen in Universal’s “This Is 40.”

I guess I?m one of the few people of my generation who never really cared or paid attention to TMNT in any way, shape or form. You can read April O?Neil?s Wiki page here (it?s surprisingly exhaustive) and decide for yourself if Megan is a good choice. Considering I don?t see how in the world this film will make any money at all (????), I don?t think it?s a good career choice for Megan. But isn?t Megan really into the TMNT? I think she?s talked about that before. She?s a TMNT fan-girl.

Johnny Depp was on the Late Show last night and I would have done this post sooner, but I decided to watch Hugh Jackman’s appearance from Wednesday night first and I got distracted imagining what I would do to him. (CBS puts the episodes online but it takes forever to watch them as the commercials are excessive.)
I won’t go into the details that are crowding my mind, but Johnny no longer has that immediate effect on me. (That’s not to say I would turn him down! It would be the highlight of my life.) Lately he’s looking more like a parody of his former self. Just check out this goofy long thin scarf he’s paired with pants that are cut up and hanging on the ground. Would it kill him to polish his boots? On the show he wore a ton of stacked necklaces, a shirt hanging off the back of his pants and plenty of rings. Johnny loves his accessories.
Johnny was on the Late Show doing a favor for an old musician friend, Bill Carter, with whom he performed after giving an interview. (Here’s a link to a clip of Johnny and Bill’s interview.) He was also promoting Lone Ranger, but it’s not out until July, damnit. Johnny explained that he’d met Bill and his wife in Atlanta back when he was filming Gilbert Grape (early 90s!) and that he’d actually lived with them for a few months afterwards. It was a really nice story and I was impressed at what a loyal friend he is.
Johnny’s voice was gruffer than usual as he talked about his past as a musician, saying he’d played with a band called “The Kids” and that they’d opened for The Pretenders, Billy Idol and The Ramones. He looked tired and was thinner than we’ve seen him recently.
As for how his film career started, Johnny said that his buddy Nicolas Cage sent him to his agent to read for Nightmare on Elm Street, the first one, and the rest was history. When Letterman complimented him that his movies were huge successes, Johnny quipped “it’s got nothing to do with me I don’t think” I take it back, he’s starting to do it for me again! It just took me a while to warm up to him this time. Johnny, come back to us, we still love you!
There’s a clip of Johnny Depp performing, he plays backup guitar, over at E! Online! Oh and he also told a story about falling off a horse while filming Lone Ranger. You can read that on E! if you’re interested. I think he’s going to work his way back into our good graces, I really do. I can’t stay mad at him even if he does dress like this.

When we were looking at those photos of Empress Zahara and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt the other day, did anyone else think that Shiloh looked a lot like a little Fanning girl? She resembles both Dakota and Elle Fanning, only Shiloh inherited her mom?s crazy lips. Well, this Star Magazine story reminded me of that association ? according to their sources, Angelina is ?ready to pass the torch to the next generation? (at the ripe old age of 37!!) and she decided to mentor her young Maleficent costar, Elle Fanning. She may have chosen Elle because Elle reminds her so much of Shiloh, I just don?t know.

I can?t even imagine how terrifying it must have been for a 14-year-old to do scenes with or against Angelina. I?m sure Angelina was lovely ? no costar has ever complained about her ? but Angelina was probably in her Horns of Doom and even adults would have been like, ?Wow, The Villainess Jolie has come out!? So while I think it?s reasonable to assume that Angelina made a special effort to get to know her young costar, please let?s not even play into this whole idea that at 37, Angelina needs to ?pass the torch?.
