It was a big night for Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian last night (August 16), who celebrated the launch of their new E! reality show “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.”
The brunette beauties took over the Wet Republic at MGM Grand Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with a paparazzi-filled shindig to mark the event.
As for the recent news of Kourtney’s pregnancy, it was apparently a surprise, as she forgot to take her birth control pill.
Miss Kardashian explained, “This probably sounds so dumb, but there’s so many times I’ll forget to take my pill and I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It’s just so stupid.”

Enjoying some time by herself, Rebecca Romijn was spotted yesterday afternoon (August 16) outside her home in Calabasas, CA.
The “X-Men” actress stepped out for a private yoga class, dressed appropriately in a loosely-fitted grey top, blue shorts and ballet flats.
Meanwhile, Romijn’s hubby, Jerry O’Connell, is changing up his career as he has enrolled in the Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles.
The actor turned student told E! News, “I had always planned on continuing my education at some point and because my wife is working...and I’m hope all day with the girls, I figured I would take a couple of classes at night.”

Page Six is reporting that Jessica Simpson is being pushed by her father, Joe Simpson, as Paula Abdul?s replacement on American Idol. We?ve already heard rumors that Victoria Beckham wants to be more than just a one-time judge - so is this a battle royale between Posh and Jess? Which one knows more about the music industry? Which one would give better advice? Actually, putting Jessica on to replace Paula might be sort of brilliant. Instead of Paula?s cracked-out comments and slurred speech, we could have Jessica?s epic malapropisms and ditzy/drunk comments. It might work!
USA Today got ahold of Redskins quarterback Colt Brennan to ask him if last week?s report that he and Jessica were dating was true. Colt says no way - but he?s sort of charming about it, telling the newspaper, ?My life coach, (Redskins TE) Chris Cooley, said that I should neither confirm nor deny it. But me being an honest guy, I have no idea what that’s about.? He actually sounds half-way interested. Jessica should go for it!
In one last piece of Jessica Simpson news, Nick Lachey?s brother Drew told Us Weekly that a Nick and Jess ?Newleyweds Part Deux? reunion was not in the cards:
Sorry, Newlyweds fans: Nick and Jessica won’t ever get back together. Asked at Saturday’s Los Angeles Lakers 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament if they’ll ever reunite, Drew Lachey told Usmagazine.com: “On the record or off the record? No on both.”
Nick and Jessica - who split in 2006 - recently ended relationships around the same time. Nick and Vanessa Minnillo called it quits this summer, shortly before Tony Romo dumped Jessica before her 29th birthday in July.
When told that people want to see Nick and Jessica back together, Drew told Us, “I think everybody who was a fan of The Newlyweds wants the same thing.”
Jessica recently told Vanity Fair she hadn’t spoken to Nick “in years.” But she said their MTV reality show helped her realize the importance of good relationships.
“It made me understand what marriage is, what love is, what commitment is,” she said. “In all honesty, I believe it did not affect our marriage. Because we enjoyed watching those episodes, and that will always be a time I cherish.”

Yeah, I really don?t think Nick wants to go there again, and he?s probably been very vocal about it to friends and family. Britney Spears got such rave reviews with her first round of bikini shots that she?s conveniently decided to bare a her body again just a few days later. Brit notoriously gained a good deal of weight during her breakdown, but she?s worked incredibly hard to shed the pounds. In fact she looks a-mazing, so it?s no surprise she wants the paparazzi to see, especially given how eagerly they snapped all those bad photos of her. And Brit?s not the only one who?s changed her look ? sons Jayden and Sean lost several inches of hair this weekend!
Britney Spears’ adorable sons Sean Preston and Jayden James managed to steal the spotlight from their famous mother with their new haircuts yesterday. Spending a family day by the pool in Los Angeles, the boys looked unrecognisable after their bowl cuts were shaved off to reveal a buzz cut. With Sean, three, and Jayden, two, fast approaching their birthdays next month, it looks like their parents Britney and Kevin Federline may have decided it was time to update their look.
The lookalike siblings, who are exactly a year apart in age, looked even blonder than usual without their formerly heavy fringes covering their delicate features. Fortunately it was only the boys getting their heads shaved this time, after their mother previously shorn off her blonde locks during her high-profile meltdown in February 2007. Despite not having reached nursery age, it appears the young boys are growing up to be quite the cool pair as they wore sunglasses and baseball caps to protect themselves from the sun.
Older brother Sean was wearing a pair of orange swimming trunks, while his younger sibling looked more colourful in a pair of navy, orange and green trunks. They also wore silver chains with pendants of their initials on, to help people tell them apart. Clearly revelling in spending time with her beloved boys, Britney spent the day playing in the pool with Sean and Jayden.
The 27-year-old singer looked determined on catching maximum sun as she showed off her curvy figure in a green bikini. Still learning to swim, both boys were wearing arm bands to keep them afloat at the pool at the five star Ritz Carlton Hotel in the LA seaside suburb of Marina Del Rey. Clearly taking after their mother, both boys have grown up comfortable in the spotlight? It was the second day in a row Britney spent relaxing at the Ritz Carlton. On Saturday, she and a female friend spent the afternoon drinking cocktails at the resort and chilling out in the jacuzzi. Her choice of swimwear was a lot more eye-catching too - she wore a hot Pink bikini to complement her light golden tan.

You?ve got to give Britney credit for how great she looks. The boys look cute too, though I did sort of adore their little bowl cuts. The close-cropped hair and quasi-bling reminds me of their dad a bit. K-Fed?s sort of this gentler, wider version of his former self, which is endearing in a way. But old K-Fed was super annoying with his ridiculous outfits and man-bling. There was something so charming about Sean and Jayden?s bowl cuts. They?re cute either way, especially with their water wings and pool toys. It looks like Britney genuinely enjoys spending time with them, and is at a great point in her life.

Jennifer Garner took her oldest daughter Violet to Starbucks yesterday in Los Angeles. It must have been early in the morning, because Jennifer didn?t even bother to make Violet change out of her pajamas. Violet?s always been a cute little girl, but as she gets older, she looks less like her mom and more like her dad, don?t you think? Except when she smiles - then she looks just like her mom. When they exited the Starbucks, it looks like Violet managed to talk her mom into getting her some kind of treat too. Perhaps a scone?
Anyway, Jennifer?s publicity tour for The Invention of Lying will be starting up soon. To promote the film, Jennifer contributed an essay for Oprah Winfrey?s O Magazine, in the section called ?Books That Made a Difference to?? Jennifer?s five book pics are: Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley; Possession by A.S. Byatt (which is a really good book, and a sucky movie adaptation); The Razor’s Edge by W. Somerset Maugham (I read that years ago, and I?m struggling to remember the plot); John Adams by David McCullough (which was used as the primary source material for the HBO miniseries) and The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook by Ina Garten (Team Ina, I LOVE her). Before Jennifer lists and describes her five books, she gives us this funny, touching little story about how, when she was a kid, she dreamt of becoming a librarian. At first I was like ?Oh, Jennifer, stop trying to be boring? but I ended up liking the story about one of her first mentors:
As a kid in West Virginia, I had a very rich imaginary world. And my dream was to grow up to be a librarian, because I had a librarian named Mrs. McCann who I thought was the most magical woman on the planet. She used to publish little versions of my stories, typing them on manila folders and illustrating them with pictures of me and my teddy bear: T-Bear Goes to Mars and T-Bear’s Trip to the Moon. She was my first mentor?the first person who really took an interest in me for me, which when you’re a kid is a major deal. I’ve had other mentors, and those relationships were based on reading. They gave me a sense of who I was.
My mom grew up in poverty in dust bowl Oklahoma, and the thing that got her out was education. She had three daughters, and she did all the housekeeping, all the cooking, all the driving?just like moms do?and was also a teacher. But somehow, at night, she was in my room and we read to each other. I would read a page and she would read a page. And I felt like a different person because of that. Once I had kids, I looked at my baby and thought, “What am I supposed to do with you?” Nobody tells you how you need to play with them to help their brains develop. Mothers all over the country want what’s best for their kids, but they might not have had a mom or dad like mine who took a keen interest in the way their minds worked. Yet they don’t love their kids any less than I love mine. That’s what made me become a Save the Children ambassador, and it’s why I’m so passionate about early education in particular. I know that it was reading that helped me define myself.

What?s weird is that Jennifer refers to her mother?s childhood as ?dust bowl Oklahoma?. The Oklahoma/mid-West Dust Bowl is generally considered to be through the 1930s, and perhaps, if you?re stretching it, into the first half of the 1940s. So if her mother grew up in ?dust bowl Oklahoma?, the youngest age I can come up with for her mother is in her early seventies, but probably older. With Jennifer at 37 years old? well, maybe the timeline isn?t off. But it would mean Jennifer?s mother probably started her family a lot later than other women of that generation.
As I was reading Jennifer?s book selections, I noticed something amazing. Mad Men?s Jon Hamm contributed an essay to ??Books That Made a Difference to?? too! By the way, no one tell Jaybird what happened on Mad Men - she hasn?t seen it yet. Anyhoodle, Hamm says that he loves ?my generation of novelists?Michael Chabon, Jonathan Lethem, and Jonathan Franzen?and the way they can tell a story and make it interesting, make it deep, make it funny and yet incredibly touching.? He also admits to being something of math and science geek. His favorites book picks are: Arcadia by Tom Stoppard (it?s a very good play); Cruel Shoes by Steve Martin; Wonder Boys by Michael Chabon (excellent choice) ; The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene (my dad loves that one); Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco (I?ve never been able to get past page two on that one).

Britney Spears also squeezed her ass into a bright Pink bikini while at the Marina Del Ray over the weekend. These photos look much like the ones of Britney in the white bikini except now she’s in Pink and there aren’t any shots of her cowering in fear. So… yea. Fascinating.

She’s practically an American institution like baseball and apple pie, and this past Friday (August 14) Carrie Underwood showed her love for US troops.
The “Before He Cheats” songstress gave a rousing performance at the Salute to the Troops! concert, held at the Division Parade Field at Fr. Campbell, Kentucky.
Miss Underwood looked lovely in a white and brown sleeveless dress with a thick leather belt and a big smile as she took the stage to sing to our nation’s servicemen and women.
And Carrie wasn’t the only country superstar in the house- Hank Williams Jr. also showed up and rocked out for the troops.

We’ve seen plenty of photos of Madonna and Jesus out together, but usually it looks like Jesus is there in some sort of official capacity - like to make Madonna seem much younger and more relevant. He could also be hanging around as some kind of glorified assistant - he’s been seen carrying Madonna’s bags and it’s rumored that he often babysits her kids. Maybe I’m in denial because the thought of 22 year-old Jesus having athletic sex with 51 year-old Madge just skeeves me out and I was hoping it wasn’t true.
It could be, though, as Jesus and Madonna were finally photographed looking intimate. Jesus was seen kissing Madonna’s well-preserved neck at dinner for her 51st birthday. If the situation was reversed I would speculate that Madonna was getting some life essence like the succubus she is. Instead, it looks like true love or at least like they’re legitimately having sex. *shiver* There’s also another picture of the two kissing over breakfast on their hotel patio in Italy. We can’t post the photos here, but Radar Online has them.
Madonna — along with her gorgeous boy toy/model Jesus Luz — is in the Italian Riviera resort of Portofino Monday to celebrate her birthday in true star style.
The superstar singer — who turned 51 Sunday — booked an entire floor of the town’s Splendido Hotel for her stay. The Material Mom (sans kids) was snapped Sunday sharing breakfast (and a kiss!) with Jesus before joining the rest of her entourage later for dinner and cake.
Famed Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are expected to host a star studded birthday party for the Material Mom during her trip.
But where there’s Madonna, there’s always controversy. The ‘Like A Virgin’ Singer caused a flap on Saturday when her Sticky and Sweet tour concert in Poland happened on the same day as the Feast of the Assumption, a high point of the Catholic calendar marking the traditional belief that Mary, the mother of Jesus also known as the Madonna, was taken up into heaven.
She may have been branded a “Satanist” by the religious leaders of Poland, but Madonna seemed genuinely touched when the 80,000 strong crowd at her concert in Warsaw surprised her by singing a traditional Polish birthday song, ‘May You Live A Hundred Years’.
“I feel your love. I love what I do, but you regenerate me,” said a beaming Madonna.
Many of the fans near the stage also held up paper hearts. One said: “Adopt Me.”
During the concert, Madonna paid tribute to fellow pop icon Michael Jackson, who died June 25 in Los Angeles, CA.
A Jackson impersonator did the King of Pop’s signature moonwalk dance move on stage while wearing a sequined jacket, white T-shirt, white glove and white socks, while a large photograph of him as a boy appeared on stage.

I’m sure it’s no coincidence that Madonna timed her tour so that she was performing in a predominantly Catholic country on one of most holy days of the year. It’s a little more subtle than hanging herself on a cross with a crown of thorns on her head, but just as purposeful. That was Madonna’s little pre-birthday present to herself. There’s nothing she likes more than a good old fashioned feud with the Catholics. She also apparently still has that doe-eyed young model on the hook. Damn her.

I still have no idea how Tori Spelling got such adorable children - little Stella doesn?t even look like either of her parents. Stella does seem to have inherited her grandmother Candy?s diva attitude, though, because this baby is not happy to be on the Malibu beach. These photos are from a little visit Tori and her family had over the weekend - Tori looks good (for her) and seems happy in the photos. Stella, not so much. Looks like Stella?s having herself a Malibu tantrum on the sand. The baby needs a little hat, perhaps? Her little scalp is going to get sunburned. I bet that sand is hot too.
Tori has really grown on me the past year - I really like the way she handles herself in the press, and I do think she?s trying to be good, low-maintenance mother and wife. As Tori?s mom Candy goes on a daughter-bashing tour, writing open letters and complaining to every media outlet, Tori lets most of the criticisms pass her by. When Tori does speak up, her tone is usually conciliatory and good-humored. Such is the case with Tori?s latest interview. Tori spoke to OK! over the weekend about her mom?s latest anit-Tori publicity tour, and she even spoke out about her mom calling her ?middle-aged?:
Refreshed from a recent trip to the Four Season?s Puta Mita Resort in Mexico, Tori Spelling, accompanied by hubby Dean McDermott, opened up to OK! about her delicate relationship with estranged mother Candy Spelling in an exclusive interview.
?I definitely want to reconcile with my mother, but that?s the wrong word,? Tori confessed to OK!. ?There?s nothing that really happened that made us fight. It?s just time, distance and media that have come between my mom and me.?
Speaking to OK! at the grand opening of A Hollywood Spectacle earlier this week, Tori explained, ?I just think that as long as we both keep it private from here on out, reconciliation is imminent. It will totally happen and I hope that she wants that.?
Candy claimed to have e-mailed prior to missing Stella?s first birthday party, but Tori was almost brought to tears as she discussed how she holds out hope for her mom to come around for her own children.
?I am proud of my kids, but I also want to make my mom proud of me. I?m still a momma?s girl at the heart of the situation,? Tori dished to OK!. ?I look forward to the relationship that Liam and Stella will have with their grandmother one day and I?m confident that it will happen.?
And if Candy calling her daughter a ?middle-aged woman? was meant as a put-down, Tori doesn?t seem to be taking the comment too seriously. ?When you?re in your twenties, you can still wear things like this and then I become a mother of two and wear these six-inch Fendi heels and I?m falling all over the place,? she joked to OK!.
All kidding aside, husband Dean spoke candidly about his own relationship with his now-deceased father and how he can relate to his wife?s heartbreaking situation.
?I know the hurt because I have gone through it,? Dean revealed. ?I know what it?s like to hold out hope and for it to not pan out and to get your feelings hurt again and again. After a while, at the end of the day, you really have to protect yourself and see that it?s not healthy for us? Your family can cause you a lot of pain and heartache.?

See, I just think Tori handles herself well. She never ?goes on the attack?. She?s never an outright bitch about anything. I?m not sure if this is Tori?s natural state, or if this is the image she?s concocted, or whatever. I know some people think that Candy and Tori are playing some kind of joke on us, just play-fighting as a way for both of them to get attention. It doesn?t strike me that way - I think Candy really is that much of a harpie, and Tori is really trying to be the opposite of her mother in every possible way.

Always in high demand, Brad Pitt has opted to take on a leading role in Guy Ritchie’s latest movie, “Sherlock Holmes”.
According to Us magazine reports, the “Fight Club” stud will be making his way to London to begin filming his character, Holmes’ nemesis Moriarty, tomorrow (August 18).
The Us report tells: “He (Pitt) is expected to shoot all over the city, including the Royal Victoria Dock, Pontoon Docks, Pinewood and Chatham Docks in Kent.”
“This is all such mad rush now, having such little time to get everything done,” a source tells of the film, which has been pushed back to a 2010 release date. “There’s just a week to get this done and everyone is just praying the weather stays clear and time doesn’t run out too soon.”

Britney Spears took her son and her janky weave to the Ritz Carlton in the Marina Del Ray over the weekend to spend a day frolicking in the shallow end of the pool and freaking out when balls flew at her face. Odd. She should be used to that by now.
Anyway, she doesn’t look too bad except for when she sits down. Which is too bad because sitting is my favorite activity. Maybe Britney can find a way to stand up forever. I propose we fuse a metal rod to her spine. You’d think that’d be cruel and unusual, but may I remind you the alternative is looking at Britney’s fat fold over on itself like an accordion.

Getting down to work on their new movie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page were spotted on the set of “Inception” at the Pont de Bir-Hakeim bridge in Paris, France yesterday (August 16).
The “Titanic” stud and his “Juno” costar looked intense as they filmed scenes together on the closed-off set, with the paparazzi looming off in the distance.
Though much of “Inception” is being kept under wraps, an industry insider described the story as a contemporary sci-fi action thriller set within “the architecture of the mind.”
Along with DiCaprio and Page, prolific French actress Marion Cotillard also stars in the flick, which is due to hit theaters July 16th, 2010.

The “Like a Virgin” songstress looked to be enjoying herself as she spent some quality time with her kids Lourdes, Rocco, David Banda, and Mercy James as well as her boyfriend Jesus Luz.
Yesterday the Material Girl celebrated her 51st birthday in the picturesque Italian town with breakfast on her hotel room balcony and dinner out with her entourage.
Prior to that, Madge stirred up some controversy in Warsaw, Poland where she drew criticism from a local Catholic organization for performing on the same day as their Virgin Mary holiday.

The “Cry Me a River” hitmaker looked cool and casual as he chilled out with a guy pal, sporting a light blue Polo shirt with plaid shorts and white golf shoes.
And it looks like JT had a good score by the end of the round, as he looked pleased with himself as he strolled past the paparazzi.

Yikes. Jennifer Lopez is the cover girl for InStyle?s enormous September issue, which also happens to be the magazine?s 15th anniversary issue. I do not care for any part of the styling of this cover. The Jil Sander dress is strange - yes, it makes Jennifer look thin, and yet the faux-space-age design doesn?t really compliment her curvy body. Also, Jennifer?s hair and make-up is horrible. Her hair looks like it?s pulled too tight, and now all I can see is Jennifer?s little elf-like ears. And is it just me, or does Jennifer?s skin look artificially lightened too? Her natural skin tone is about two shades up.
People Magazine has some of the early quotes from the cover interview. Mostly, Jennifer talks about her life as a wife and mother, and how much having twins Emme and Max has changed her. Jenny pays some lip service to caring more about her kids than she cares about herself, which I?m not sure I buy. I like that J.Lo has toned it down the past few years, but I still see the diva glint in her eye. She wants to be ber-famous again.
Jennifer Lopez may look the same as she always has, but the star says she’s been transformed since becoming a mother to her twins, 18-month-old Max and Emme.
“There’s nothing as huge as giving birth to another human being and having to be responsible for another life,” Lopez tells InStyle, for its September, 15th-Anniversary issue. “There’s you before kids, and there’s you after kids ? and they’re not the same you.”
The singer-actress, who celebrated turning 40 with a blowout bash in July, says her outlook on all aspects of life ? from her music to relationships and business ventures ? has shifted gears.
“[Parenthood] totally changes your perspective on everything,” says Lopez. “You don’t come first anymore. There’s somebody else you care more about than yourself.”
For the active entrepreneur, that means cutting down on work and stepping down from the “hamster wheel,” a previous lifestyle that was all about deadlines ? a whirl in which she “felt like I couldn’t say no.”
“I’m at a point in my life when I just don’t feel the need to put out anything unless I totally, absolutely feel it says what I want to say,” Lopez says about her music career. She has, however, received inspiration from her twins ? especially Max, whose first few steps inspired the proud mom to write a song.
When it comes to marriage, Lopez, who’s been wed to Marc Anthony for five years, admits she’s “still figuring it out as I go along,” and she’s had her share of “hard experiences and a lot of ups and downs and a lot of mistakes.”
One way she’s figuring it all out is by reading books about relationships. “It’s the never-ending question ? what is the key to love?”
As for what she’s gleaned, “I believe that in life you learn through experience,” she says. “I’m old enough to know now that relationships take work. That’s it’s not an easy thing.”

The part where she talks about marriage being difficult, and taking work does ring true - I think she and Marc have their struggles as a couple. But I also think that when they disagree, Marc just stops what he?s doing and does whatever Jennifer wants him to do.
Jennifer just finished filming The Back-Up Plan, which is a film about a woman who hits forty and decides to have a baby on her own, so she goes in and gets artificially inseminated. Of course, right after she knocks herself up, she meets the man of her dreams, and everyone lives happily ever after. Oops, was that a spoiler? Don?t worry - you?ll be able to see a different version of the movie starring Jennifer Aniston, called The Baster, which will come out first. Too bad for J.Lo - this is her first film in four years.

If it was anyone else, I would be rolling my eyes until they fell out of my sockets. But since it?s Hugh Grant, I?m willing to give him a pass. Hugh is talking about quitting the biz after fifteen years - and it?s not the first time Hugh?s threatened to pick up his toys and go home. He?s been talking about quitting since he first became a star, in Four Weddings and a Funeral (which is one of those rare rom-coms that stands the test of time, I just watched it a few weeks ago).
Hugh told Entertainment Weekly (via the Daily Mail) all about his constant ?stage-fright? and his panic attacks at having to perform on camera. Considering he?s said this stuff again and again over the course of fifteen years, should we even take him seriously?
He said he had been on the verge of quitting acting before his life-changing audition for Four Weddings and a Funeral.
He has since described his job as a ?miserable experience? and threatened to retire at least twice. And now, just months after completing work on yet another movie, Hugh Grant is talking about throwing the towel in yet again.
Blaming a string of stage fright attacks, the 48-year-old actor insists he is ready to give up his day job at last.
?I like everything about filming except the acting,? he told US magazine Entertainment Weekly. ?I?m wonderful in rehearsals, but I have never been very good when they actually switch the cameras on. In recent years I?ve had really bad attacks where I totally froze up. I though ?Well, if I am going to get stage fright, then I am packing it in?.?
Despite being best-known for hit films like Four Weddings, Love Actually and Notting Hill, Grant said it was filming roles in comedies which made him ?particularly nervous?. But the actor?s habit of threatening to quit - and then signing up for another movie - will have people wondering if he really is ready for retirement.
He claimed his Four Weddings audition would have been his last if he hadn?t landed the role in the 1994 film, which subsequently propelled him to international stardom. He then announced plans to retire after spending 10 years in the business, saying fear was beginning to get the better of him when he stepped in front of the cameras.
When 2004 came around he still seemed set on the idea, claiming film acting was a ?miserable experience? and ?so difficult to get right?. But despite describing himself as ?semi-retired? after filming the sequel to Bridget Jones, he went on to make American Dreamz and Music and Lyrics.
Grants has admitted that he feels slightly embarrassed for threatening to quit acting and then signing on for new films.
?I realise how ridiculous that makes me look,? he told Entertainment Weekly. And this time it remains to be seen if he will stay true to his word.
His latest mutterings about retirement come just months after completing work on Did You Hear About The Morgans?, his first film in two years.
The movie, which also stars Sex and The City actress Sarah Jessica Parker, 44, tells the tale of a rich New York couple who witness a murder and are re-located to Wyoming. Despite his stage fright, Grant said he enjoyed filming in New Mexico and, as a result, had become a fan of country and western music.
?I’m horrifying all my chic London friends,? he said. ?The only one I’m allowed to listen to is Johnny Cash. Apparently he’s okay. But I like hillbilly - beat that for uncool.?
Perhaps a potential role in the third Bridget Jones movie will be the next project to persuade Grant to do an about-turn on his retirement plan. Renee Zellweger, 40, has already signed up to play the hapless singleton in the third installment of the popular franchise. Production is expected to start late next year.

She turned 51 over the weekend, and Madonna enjoyed a romantic birthday in Portofino, Italy with her boytoy Jesus Luz.
The Material Girl was spotted with her Brazilian beau at the Splendido Hotel yesterday (August 16), chatting on the balcony and having a special birthday breakfast while a bouquet of flowers was delivered.
Later on Madge and Jesus joined up with the rest of the entourage to grab some dinner and celebrate some more with birthday cake.
The night before, Madonna played a concert in Warsaw, Poland where she was protested by a Catholic organization for her religious views, as it was also a church holiday celebrating the heavenly assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Miss Anderson explained, “It’s a one-room mobile home that I bought as a guest house, then we moved in temporarily. I moved there because I was waiting for this damn house to be built in this posh part of Malibu. And then I realized I was so much happier and the kids were also happy. I fell in love there - it’s where my boyfriend lives, too. He’s an electrician and we met on our way to the beach.”

We’ve seen plenty of photos of Madonna and Jesus out together, but usually it looks like Jesus is there in some sort of official capacity - like to make Madonna seem much younger and more relevant. He could also be hanging around as some kind of glorified assistant - he’s been seen carrying Madonna’s bags and it’s rumored that he often babysits her kids. Maybe I’m in denial because the thought of 22 year-old Jesus having athletic sex with 51 year-old Madge just skeeves me out and I was hoping it wasn’t true.
It could be, though, as Jesus and Madonna were finally photographed looking intimate. Jesus was seen kissing Madonna’s well-preserved neck at dinner for her 51st birthday. If the situation was reversed I would speculate that Madonna was getting some life essence like the succubus she is. Instead, it looks like true love or at least like they’re legitimately having sex. *shiver* There’s also another picture of the two kissing over breakfast on their hotel patio in Italy. Madonna — along with her gorgeous boy toy/model Jesus Luz — is in the Italian Riviera resort of Portofino Monday to celebrate her birthday in true star style.
The superstar singer — who turned 51 Sunday — booked an entire floor of the town’s Splendido Hotel for her stay. The Material Mom (sans kids) was snapped Sunday sharing breakfast (and a kiss!) with Jesus before joining the rest of her entourage later for dinner and cake.
Famed Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are expected to host a star studded birthday party for the Material Mom during her trip.
But where there’s Madonna, there’s always controversy. The ‘Like A Virgin’ Singer caused a flap on Saturday when her Sticky and Sweet tour concert in Poland happened on the same day as the Feast of the Assumption, a high point of the Catholic calendar marking the traditional belief that Mary, the mother of Jesus also known as the Madonna, was taken up into heaven.
She may have been branded a “Satanist” by the religious leaders of Poland, but Madonna seemed genuinely touched when the 80,000 strong crowd at her concert in Warsaw surprised her by singing a traditional Polish birthday song, ‘May You Live A Hundred Years’.
“I feel your love. I love what I do, but you regenerate me,” said a beaming Madonna.
Many of the fans near the stage also held up paper hearts. One said: “Adopt Me.”
During the concert, Madonna paid tribute to fellow pop icon Michael Jackson, who died June 25 in Los Angeles, CA.
A Jackson impersonator did the King of Pop’s signature moonwalk dance move on stage while wearing a sequined jacket, white T-shirt, white glove and white socks, while a large photograph of him as a boy appeared on stage.

I’m sure it’s no coincidence that Madonna timed her tour so that she was performing in a predominantly Catholic country on one of most holy days of the year. It’s a little more subtle than hanging herself on a cross with a crown of thorns on her head, but just as purposeful. That was Madonna’s little pre-birthday present to herself. There’s nothing she likes more than a good old fashioned feud with the Catholics. She also apparently still has that doe-eyed young model on the hook. Damn her.

Many people described Elizabeth Gilbert?s bestselling travel/self-help memoir Eat, Pray, Love as good or great, insightful, interesting and funny. Many others described it as silly, narcissistic, hokey, a new-agey piece of trash, neo-colonialist, disastrous, cloying and according to the NY Post, ?the worst in Western fetishization of Eastern thought and culture, assured in its answers to existential dilemmas that have confounded intellects greater than hers.? In case you don?t worship at the Temple of Oprah, Eat, Pray, Love is about Elizabeth Gilbert?s year-long journey to Italy, India and Indonesia after a bitter divorce. She eats in Italy, meditates in India, and has some kind of romantic liaison in Indonesia. The book was released in 2006, and got a huge bump in 2007 (when Oprah selected it for her book club) and remains a big bestseller. The movie rights were snapped up by? Plan B, Brad Pitt?s production company. Julia Roberts quickly signed on to star - and it?s filming right now. The film production is about to make it?s way to India very soon - which is what has people worried.
According to Page Six, it seems the backlash against the book and the film production has already begun in India. Hindu scholars are worried that Julia will attempt to make ancient devotional duties somehow pretty and Hollywood-y, and many fear the whole film will ?incorrectly depict? Hindus and the Hindu faith:
INDIAN yogis and Hindu leaders are in a huff over fears that Julia Roberts’ upcoming movie, “Eat, Pray, Love,” will bastardize their religion and portray yoga as a crock of New Age mumbo jumbo.
Roberts is in New York this month filming scenes for the screen version of Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling memoir, which details the author’s efforts to find spiritual enlightenment in Italy, India and Indonesia after she’d gone through a nasty divorce.
But shooting is scheduled in India for the third week of September, and has sparked concerns about whether the film will portray Hinduism and yoga authentically.
Most prominent among the skeptics is Rajan Zed, the head of the Universal Society of Hinduism, who’s led Hindu prayers in the US Senate. He said in a recent interview, “Hinduism and its belief system are quite often misunderstood and incorrectly depicted outside India.”
Zed added, “The people of India will be anxious to see how perfectly Roberts does her job of cleaning ashram floors as a part of her devotional duty, trying to recite 182- verse Sanskrit chant, and going through grueling hours of meditation, while being feasted on by mosquitoes.”
Producers have already disclosed that they won’t shoot “Eat, Pray, Love” at the same ashram where Gilbert studied, but instead will use one near Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, which is near the hotel where Roberts will stay.
The book was derided by The Post’s Maureen Callahan in December of 2007 as “narcissistic New Age reading” and “the worst in Western fetishization of Eastern thought and culture, assured in its answers to existential dilemmas that have confounded intellects greater than hers.”
Javier Bardem, James Franco and Billy Crudup are also on board to star. A rep for Sony said the studio had no comment.

I didn?t read the book and I have no desire to see the film, so my general feeling is ?meh? on all sides. Do I think Hindu scholars have every right to worry, and to speak publicly about their concerns? Yep. Do I think the film?s portrayal in general of Hinduism (and Julia?s performance specifically) will be offensive? My guess is that if the book offended you, the film will offend you. If you thought the book was amazing, the film will probably be your wet dream (I imagine the Oprah audience, a sea of white, middle-aged, upper-middle-class women, screaming ?JULIA!!?). You know what I mean? If anything?s offensive, it?s the source material, not the film. In any case, by making a big deal about the film, the Hindu scholars are ensuring that the India section will be more watered-down, aiming to offend no one.

Out for another relaxing weekend poolside session, Britney Spears spent the day soaking up the sun at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey with Sean Preston and Jayden James on Sunday (August 16).
Enjoying the summertime sunshine, both boys showed off new buzz cuts as they played with sailboats in the water while their pop star mommy watched on.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, it was recently announced that Jordin Sparks will be Britney’s special guest on the second North American leg of the “Circus” tour.
“Britney’s show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity,” Sparks told press.
As for the tour, Brit Brit gets back on the road on August 20th with her first show taking place in Ontario, Canada.

Suffering a bit of a setback, Mark Wahlberg was reportedly hospitalized after suffering smoke inhalation on the set of his new film “The Fighter” on Friday afternoon.
A source tells, “Mark was working on a scene [Thursday night] where a smoke machine was being used for atmosphere and apparently he breathed in too much smoke.”
The insider adds, “When he woke up Friday morning he was gasping for breath so he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was put on a breathing device that helped clear his lungs.”
Fortunately enough, the tough actor was released the very same day - getting back to work on the action flick, which co-stars Christian Bale.
