Fresh from a short break from work, Ashley Tisdale was spotted earlier today (October 21) being dropped off at the Burbank Airport in Burbank, California.
The “High School Musical” babe looked cute in a hobo-style top, short jeans shorts and some brown moccasins as she said goodbye to her mother.
Ms Tisdale is heading off to Arizona, where she’ll performing at tomorrow’s grand opening of the first ever Microsoft store in Scottsdale.
Following in her footsteps is singer, Justin Bieber, who will be performing at the grand opening of the second store in Mission Viejo, CA on October 29th.

Stepping out to tend to the day’s agenda, Rachel Bilson was spotted feeding a parking meter in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning (October 21).
The “Jumper” actress looked cute in a fashionable fall ensemble consisting of a pair of snug, cuff-rolled jeans with a colorful buttondown top and black jacket as she headed into a nearby office building.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Bilson spent the previous evening at the Madewell 2009 Denim Tour held at Bar Marmont.
And coming up this season, Rachel will be making a guest appearance on “How I Met Your Mother” for the show’s 100th episode.

Suzanne Somers is promoting an incredibly dangerous message according to many medical professionals and the American Cancer Society. In her latest book she argues that chemotherapy does not work for most cancers and that patients should turn to alternative medicine instead. This is something she?s believed for a long time ? when she had breast cancer ten years ago, she chose to undergo radiation along with a lumpectomy. Since she?s doing okay, that?s evidence to Somers that chemotherapy is unnecessary for breast cancer. She also recently said that chemo killed Patrick Swayze, not pancreatic cancer.
Somers has some very extreme views on the lengths she?ll go to in order to remain looking and feeling young and healthy. She messes around with complex bioidentical hormones and pops over 60 pills a day. In January she was on Oprah espousing her ideals, and frankly she came off as a whack job. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt at the time, but in hindsight I should not have. She?s careful about phrasing things in terms of ?this is just what I think I should do, you have to make your own choice,? but saying things like chemo kills, not cancer, shows that?s not what she really believes.
And health professionals are saying she?s downright dangerous. Here are some excerpts from the Huffington Post?s article about Somers? medical advice.
Suzanne Somers is at it again. Less than a year after the former sitcom actress frustrated mainstream doctors (and cheered some fans) by touting bioidentical hormones on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” she’s back with a new book. This one’s on an even more emotional topic: Cancer treatment. Specifically, she argues against what she sees as the vast and often pointless use of chemotherapy.
Somers, who has rejected chemo herself, seems to relish the fight. “Cancer’s an epidemic,” said the 63-year-old actress in an interview in a Manhattan hotel a day before Tuesday’s release of “Knockout,” her 19th book. “And yet we keep going back to the same old pot, because it’s all we’ve got. Well, this is a book about options. “I’m ‘us’,” Somers adds. “I’m not them. I’ve been on the other side of the bed. And it’s powerful to have information.” The American Cancer Society is concerned.
“I am very afraid that people are going to listen to her message and follow what she says and be harmed by it,” says Dr. Otis Brawley, the organization’s chief medical officer. “We use current treatments because they’ve been proven to prolong life. They’ve gone through a logical, scientific method of evaluation. I don’t know if Suzanne Somers even knows there IS a logical, scientific method.”
More broadly, Brawley is concerned that in the United States, celebrities or sports stars feel they can use their fame to dispense medical advice. “There’s a tendency to oversimplify medical messages,” he says. “Well, oversimplification can kill.”
?Somers is now hoping for a return invitation to Winfrey’s hugely influential stage to discuss her cancer book. Her theories on chemotherapy did get one bit of attention she could have done without, though: The actress had to apologize recently when her offhand comment that chemo had likely killed actor Patrick Swayze, rather than his pancreatic cancer, made tabloid headlines. “I shouldn’t have said anything,” Somers says now. “I apologized to his family. But she adds: “We all know that chemotherapy does nothing for pancreatic cancer.”
?One criticism sure to come up with Somers’ cancer book is its reliance on several doctors who have controversial histories, including Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski in Houston, who has devised his own alternative cancer treatments and has had protracted legal battles with the FDA. But Somers defends him passionately, as she does the other doctors interviewed in her book. As for herself, she says, she is at ease with her role as celebrity health guru? “Celebrities are easy to pick on,” Somers says. “But I don’t have an agenda. I’m just a passionate lay person. And I’m using my celebrity to do something good for people.”

Suzanne Somers obviously has the right to choose her own medical care, and she?s got the right to say whatever she wants about her beliefs. But because they?re potentially dangerous, it?s just as important to remember that the American Cancer Society and doctors and journalists have just as much of a right and responsibility to point out that experts disagree. They?re not calling for her silence. They?re saying she?s wrong, and that she?s putting out confusing information. We all know Suzanne Somers is not a doctor. But holy hell, I even felt myself someone swayed when watching her Oprah interview.
I have an aunt who was diagnosed with untreatable breast cancer two and a half years ago. The doctors said there was no point in giving her any sort of treatment and she had a month or two left to live. Because she had no other options, she started seeing a well-respected naturopath. Not because she chose to forgo traditional treatment options, but because she was told by every professional she saw that those options would not work for her. And she?s still alive today. There are two sides to the debate, but stories like this are beautiful miracles ? and rare. Suzanne should consider herself lucky, but not necessarily consider herself science.

If you're holding out hope that Miley Cyrus will return to Twitter, it's time to focus your energy elsewhere. The singer, who quit the site earlier this month, said that she's much happier now that she's not focused on sharing every minute detail of her life with the world.
"I really haven't missed it," the singer said on 104.7 FM's Johnjay and Rich Show in Arizona Tuesday, US Weekly reported. "I thought I was going to miss it a lot more than I do, but I haven't even really looked at other people's, which is really weird. I don't really miss it. It's kind of odd."
Despite earlier reports that she left Twitter at the request of her rumored beau and "The Last Song" co-star, Liam Hemsworth, she says she decided to leave when she realized how much it was affecting the way she lived her life. "It was 3:30 or 4 in the morning. I couldn't sleep," she explained. "[I thought], 'Maybe I could sleep if I wasn't so friggin' busy twittering about not being able to sleep.' "
Her last tweet read: "FYI Liam doesn't have a twttr & he wants ME 2 delete mine w/ gd reason," but since then the "Hannah Montana" star has not only gone on the radio to explain her reasons for leaving, but also released a statement and a rap song about it days after she left.
In the statement, she said, "Rumors have been started that Liam is the reason that I deleted my Twitter. I hope my true fans know how stupid that is. I had mentioned to him that someone made a fake Twitter with his name and we both starting chatting about how ridiculous it is." She added, "Liam is a wonderful friend and he did not try to make me delete my page, he just helped me realize how much time I was wasting on that site."

Despite the rumors floating around the gossip mill (thanks to another Star magazine mishap), Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have not tied the knot.
The Good Charlotte frontman set out to set the record straight after receiving all kinds of messages congratulating him on the supposed nuptials.
And Madden took to his blog to clear things up. He wrote, “I keep getting emails from old friends and family asking me about a wedding. NO we didn’t get married.”
During an interview with Larry King, Nicole Richie explained, “I think for both of us, we are going to do it because we want to, not because that’s what you do. We’re going to do it when the time’s right.”
Joel added, “We’re really focused on our family, and we feel like — we already feel kind of married, you know? Our family system that we have down, we feel like this is a real family and marriage, one day it will come.”

Decked out in black, a stylish-looking Madonna was spotted making her way around London, England on Wednesday (October 21).
Sporting a sexy straight hairdo, the Material Girl was chauffeured off from her home to a nearby hotel with the company of security staffers.
The sighting comes as a woman filed a complaint to the New York State Supreme Court about the pop star rehearsing too loudly while at her Manhattan apartment.
In the court filing, Karen George accuses Madge and her invited guests of “repeatedly dancing and/or training to unreasonable high decibel amplified music.”
She is seeking reparations from the management company of the Manhattan building after they failed to act on previous complaints.

It’s no secret that she’s one of the hottest leading ladies in Hollywood and Angelina Jolie has been recruited for the upcoming “Gucci” drama.
According to a report, director Ridley Scott has sought out the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress to play the role of Patrizia Reggiano, the ex-wife of the late Gucci head Maurizio Gucci.
And interestingly enough, Reggiano was sentenced to 29 years in prison for hiring a hitman to kill her husband back in 1995.
The movie will focus on the “glamorous days” of the 1970s and 80s when the “Gucci Family Dynasty” was at its peak. Stay linked to the Gossip Center for more details on this exciting project.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden debuted their beautiful new son Sparrow James Midnight Madden on the cover of People. Siblings often look the same as babies (duh statement of the day right there) but Sparrow and Harlow don?t look all that similar to me. Here?s Nicole?s People cover with Harlow a year and a half ago. She had bigger eyes (though she?s a little older in her People cover) than Sparrow. They?re both cute as a bug?s ear ? and talking about babies is really the best time to use that phrase.
According to People, Nicole and Joel are incredibly happy, and Sparrow and Harlow are bonding wonderfully.
Six weeks after welcoming their first son, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden ? along with their 21-month-old daughter Harlow ? are showing off the latest addition to their family, Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
“I couldn’t be happier,” Richie tells PEOPLE. “The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I’m right where I belong.”
In an interview at their home in Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, Richie, 28, and Madden, 30, her boyfriend and front man of the band Good Charlotte, say they are deprived of sleep, but grateful their daughter Harlow is now fawning over a baby brother.
“I’m glad I had a girl before I had a boy,” says Richie. “She just loves him so much.” Adds the children’s proud papa, “She’s very gentle with him.”

As with all unusual celebrity baby names, there?s a wide range of opinions on Sparrow. I like his name, were it not for the ?Midnight.? I think just one standout name is best, otherwise you end up with a Pilot Inspektor situation. There have been rumors floating around since Monday that Joel and Nicole either have secretly gotten married or are about to. According to Radar, they?ve taken out a marriage license, though they certainly haven?t made any announcement. And Nicole?s father Lionel Richie made a comment about welcoming Joel into the family. They certainly haven?t rushed to the altar, but it would be sweet if they did.

It?s pretty much a sure thing that Angelina Jolie?s next film will be The Tourist, where she will be playing yet another gun-toting badass. She?s been ?in talks? for the film for a few weeks, ever since Charlize officially dropped out. This week, it was announced that Angelina would sign onto the role if and when German director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck signed on. Von Donnersmarck directed The Lives of Others, which earned him the 2007 Best Foreign Language Film Oscar. It?s a great movie too - I would highly recommend it to anyone, it?s one of my favorite films of the last decade.
Anyway, The Tourist will likely start filming maybe January or February of next year. Lately it seems like that would be enough work for Angelina for a whole year, considering everyone freaked out when she did Salt earlier this year, her first film in 14 months. But Angelina is in talks to sign on for yet another role, which would probably start filming immediately after The Tourist. The film is called Gucci, based on the true story of the 1995 murder of Maurizio Gucci. Angelina would be playing Patrizia Reggiano, the murderess femme fatale ex-wife of the Gucci heir. Oscar winner Ridley Scott is attached to direct and produce, and he wants Leonardo DiCaprio to play Maurizio:
Ridley Scott is in discussions with Angelina Jolie for a femme fatale role in “Gucci,” a drama about murder and decadence in the Gucci fashion dynasty.
Fox 2000 is fashioning a 2010 start date for the film, and Scott is talking with Jolie to play Patrizia Reggiano, who was sentenced to 29 years in jail for plotting the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci.
Pic is a priority for Fox 2000’s Elizabeth Gabler and Carla Hacken, with Scott Free and Giannina Facio producing.
The studio is about to hire a scribe to rewrite the drama that recaptures the glamorous days of the Gucci family dynasty in the 1970s and ’80s, when the family was selling $500 million in product annually. Squabbles hobbled the clan until Maurizio, the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci, came out on top of a power struggle to run the family business.
Just when he was about to reestablish the brand name by debuting a line designed by newcomer — and now film director — Tom Ford, Maurizio was gunned down in front of his Milan apartment in 1995.
There are moving pieces in the film, as the script is still being developed and Scott needs to lock down an actor to play Maurizio. The director has approached his “Body of Lies” star Leonardo DiCaprio, but he is not attached at this point.
“Gucci” becomes the second big project at Fox 2000 for Jolie. The studio is developing the Patricia Cornwell novel series about medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta for Jolie to play the lead role in a film produced by Mark Gordon and Geyer Kosinski.
As for Jolie, she is likely to next star with Sam Worthington in “The Tourist,” the Spyglass thriller that has Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck in line to direct. Pending a deal with the director, the hope is to begin production early next year.
Scott is in post-production with the Russell Crowe-Cate Blanchett starrer “Robin Hood” for Universal Pictures and Imagine.

I?ve always wondered if Leonardo and Angelina would ever get the chance to work together. They seem like an interesting pairing, and my guess is that they would get along well. That being said, if both of them choose to do the film, I hope Ridley decides to do the movie as an accent-free zone. Considering he wants to hire two Americans to play two Italians, it might simply be easier. Though I have affection for both Angelina and Leo as actors, neither one of them is amazing at accents. Leo did do a decent job with some kind of vague South African accent (that can and went) in Blood Diamond, and an okay job with the Boston accent in The Departed. But if both of them attempt Italian accents, it?s going to sound like auditions to replace Chef Boyardee.

An inside source told press, “Lynne said, ‘He’s the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying. The kids love him, and he’s stable.’”
And it sounds like Britney and Jason have an open and honest relationship, allowing them to support one another. “She has been honest with Jason about what she’s been through in a way that I don’t think she’s been with other people, and he always preferred to not sugarcoat the harsh reality of what happened to her. He tells her when she should take responsibility for her own actions.”

Former NSync-er Chris Kirkpatrick told press that the breakup rumors are all bunk. “They’re awesome. She’s amazing. She’s a real sweetheart. He really cares about her. It’s nice to see him happy.”

As I was saying in yesterday?s Cheeto-soaked Britney Spears post, I think Britney is looking really good and she seems healthier than ever. Us Weekly put this brand new Britney on their cover this week, but they seem to be giving all of the credit to Britney?s on-again-off-again agent boyfriend Jason Trawick. The piece is called ?How Love Saved Britney? and it kind of sucks.
Here?s the thing - I think it?s perfectly possible that Britney is in love with Jason and that she?s very happy and healthy now. My problem is that I don?t really think ?falling in love? had anything to do with how well she seems to be doing. I give most of the credit to her dad?s involvement, and to Britney?s own hard work. Now, I will say this - I think Jason seems like a pretty nice guy, and it probably helps her a great deal to be with a guy who isn?t just some gross user. Us Weekly is selling this relationship hard - they even have quotes from Britney?s mom, who seems hellbent on getting Jason and Britney married off.
After a rocky romance with paparazzo Adnan Ghalib and a devastating marriage to Kevin Federline, Britney Spears has found love with agent Jason Trawick — and her mother, Lynne, thinks he is The One, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue (on newsstands now).
“Lynne said, ‘He’s the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying. The kids love him, and he’s stable,’” a friend tells Us Weekly.
Trawick, 37, stood by Spears, 27, during her darkest moments (she was involuntarily committed twice to a psychiatric hospital in 2008 and lost custody of sons Sean, 4, and Jayden, 3, the year before).
“Most everyone else abandoned her, but Jason refused to be completely cut out of Britney’s life,” says a source. “He’s very protective of her.”
Besides his quick wit and ability to make her laugh in any situation, sources tell Us Trawick accepts Britney - drama and all.
“She has been honest with Jason about what she?s been through in a way that I don?t think she?s been with other people, and he always preferred to not sugarcoat the harsh reality of what happened to her,” says a pal. “He tells her when she should take responsibility for her own actions.”

If Britney wants to marry Jason and do the whole song and dance, then God bless. I think Britney is an old-fashioned girl who believes in getting married and all of that, so she probably does want it to some degree. My problem is that she and Jason have only been dating for about six or seven months, and they might have broken up a few times here and there. Plus, Britney might still have feelings for douchebag Adnan Ghalib. My point? She?s nowhere near ready to settle down into another marriage, and I hope her parents aren?t trying to force her into this stuff.

I think quite a bit of Blake Lively?s beauty. Honestly, I find her to be one of the prettiest girls in the current crop of Young Hollywood. I am aware, however, that her beauty has a slightly manufactured feel. I?m pretty sure she had a nose job a few years ago, and if those are her natural breasts, my day just got worse. If she did get this work done, it was done well and she looks gorgeous. We get to see a lot of her too - she usually goes to any New York red carpet event, and she almost always looks interesting and flawless. Not so much for last night?s appearance at the 2009 Angel Ball in New York.
Blake wore a black Victoria Beckham dress that I find kind of ?meh?, but taken with Blake?s styling, it looks really good. However, Blake had what I can only describe as a makeup malfunction. The makeup on her face looks fine, of course - flawless, really. But she seems to have used her foundation to try to cover up something on her chest. The result was some weird, discolored blotches on her chest that would have looked at home on Lindsay Lohan. On my Blake? Not so much. Get it together, girl.
When Blake Lively arrived in a short, sexy dress at a charity ball last night, she must have been delighted with her understated and elegant look.
But the Gossip Girl actress fell foul of the bright lights on the red carpet which showed up a collection of strange blotchy marks on her chest. The 22-year-old, who until now has had immaculate fashion credentials, looked as if she had tried to cover spots on her chest with foundation or concealer.
The odd patches were the same colour as her foundation, but not the skin on her body.
They drew attention away from her otherwise flirtatious and fun Victoria Beckham mini dress from Spring/Summer 2010 collection.
She teamed it with the diamond yin and yang earrings and blue-toed heels.
Blake is said to have become firm friends with the former Spice Girl-turned-designer and Posh is rumoured to be filming a cameo role in Gossip Girl this week.
The actress has already worn Beckham’s designs on the show, so it was no suprise she chose the designer’s dress for the Angel Ball for The Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for cancer research, in New York.
Blake, who is currently filming season three of Gossip Girl, has been dating her co-star Penn Badgley for two years. He admits in the November issue of Men’s Health magazine that mixing business and pleasure can get messy.
‘Having a relationship with someone you work with might not always be the smartest move,’ he said. ‘But it’s been wonderful to be in a relationship where we can both identify with what the other is experiencing.’

Is this the worst thing in the world? Of course not. Especially when we have celebrities walking the red carpet looking like hot death. My guess is that Blake?s makeup person thought Blake had a few ?imperfections? on her chest, and just dabbed a foundation-soaked makeup sponge on the ?problem areas?. It?s likely that the blotches didn?t even stand out in normal lighting, and only became more prominent with camera flashes. Still, let this be a lesson to Blake and everyone out there - do not use your normal foundation to cover up skin imperfections on the rest of your body. People will notice. And they will judge!

Continuing to expand her presence in the fashion industry, Lauren Conrad was spotted at the Fall 2009 Denim Tour with Lucky Magazine last night (October 20).
The “L.A. Candy” bestselling author looked to be in good spirits as she arrived at the Bar Marmont located inside the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.
And of course Miss Conrad was looking top-notch, sporting a black blazer with a white blouse, grey skirt, and black and white strappy heels.

She’s already receiving overwhelming praise for her role in “Ameila” and last night (October 20) Hilary Swank was spotted at the New York City premiere.
The “Million Dollar Baby” actress was all smiles as she arrived at the Paris Theatre amidst a sea of fans and paparazzi.
Ms. Swank gave the boys plenty to drool over in her long blue v-neck dress as she posed with costars Richard Gere, Ewan Mcgregor, and Virginia Madsen.
Of her experience with the film, Hilary told press, “It’s a responsibility to play someone who really lived. And it’s a big responsibility to play someone as iconic as Amelia. I mean, we all have such a great idea of who she was and what she looked like, so there wasn’t a lot of room for fictional license, and we just had to do the best we could to bring honor to that person. Under (director) Mira [Nair]’s guidance and keen eye — she’s an incredible visionary — we just tried to navigate the best we could, and that is hopefully onscreen.”

High profile Scientologists Tom Cruise and John Travolta were spotted at a big Scientology shindig in England with their wives on Friday. This might put to rest those rumors that John Travolta was ready to step away from the cult following his admission in court that his deceased son, Jett, suffered from autism. Autism is not recognized by Scientology, which vehemently and irrationally opposes all forms of psychiatry. According to a former Scientology minister quoted by CBS News, Scientology teaches that non-physical disorders stem from connection to “a suppressive person… who is opposed to Scientology.”
The party, a gathering of the “International Association of Scientologists,” was attented by 4,000 people who listened to lectures that lasted almost two hours. The best part of this story, reported exclusively by US Weekly, is Tom Cruise’s nonsensical quote about the protesters outside. He allegedly called them “squirrels” who were “stuck in an electronic incident.” Say what? Doesn’t that sound like something from Minority Report?
Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and daughter Suri reunited with John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston — plus over 4000 other Scientologists — at a massive party in England on Oct. 16, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.
The stars were surprise guests at the 25th anniversary of the International Association of Scientologists held at Saint Hill Manor in East Grinsted, West Sussex. During nearly two hours of speeches, Cruise, 47, briefly addressed the rapturous, fist-pumping crowd: “Because we never took our eyes off the ultimate prize, we stand where we are today,” he intoned, witnesses tells Us. “We are in this together!”
When a choir took to the stage, the Cruise-Holmes family stood up with the rest of the audience. “Tom was swaying and looked like he was in heaven,” an attendee tells Us. “He was really, really into it. Katie was next to him doing her best to look as enthusiastic. She was clapping along with the song, but was totally out of sync. Last week’s OK! featured a deceptive cover that made it seem like it had an interview with Twilight’s golden couple, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Titled “Inside Our Home,” with the fake quote “We’re already like a married couple,” the article inside just had photos of the hotel suites that that stars were staying in while filming in Vancouver along with some thoughts from locals and merchants they’d run into.
This week OK! is a little more straightforward but still seems to promote an interview that won’t be inside. Featuring a photo taken of John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston in December, 2008, OK! promises “all the exclusive details on how Jen got her guitar-slinging loverboy back.” John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston’s on-again relationship, their third try on the reconciliation tilt a whirl, was confirmed by People Magazine on Thursday of last week, which was just too late to hit the tabloid print cycle.

Oh give me a break with the “Jennifer Aniston baby plan” story. We’ve heard that for years. If she’s still with Mayer and he hasn’t bailed yet with some lame complicated excuse then I hope she’s just in it for the sex. She knows better than to get too involved with that cad, but clearly she’s not thinking this through or she never would have gone there again.
I remember seeing an interview with Aniston on The Late Show in which she was promoting He’s Just Not That Into You and admitted that she hadn’t read the book. She disagreed with parts of it that were read out by Jay Leno. She said that she didn’t agree with the statements “He?s just not that into you if he?s not asking you out” because “aren?t men shy sometimes?” and “He?s just not that into you if he?s not calling you” asking “for how long?” She needs to read that book, and many more relationship self help books, and take the advice seriously.
I don’t think she’s as stuck on Mayer as OK! seems to be suggesting to move copies, but she is definitely wasting time if she’s looking for something long term. We won’t be hearing about this much longer, though. I doubt this will be a big seller for OK! and I doubt these two will stay together for more than a couple weeks in this third go-around.

Audrina Patridge attended an MTV event in this short black dress with tall black boots and I’m not at all happy about it. The problem, you see, is not that Audrina’s dress is short or that her boots are tall, but the fact that together they show very little skin. Audrina Patridge has to realize that the bread and butter of her “fame” is her sexy body. If she covers it up, why will we want to waste our time on her. She looks good, but I see lots of room for improvement here.
