Accompanied by her grandmother Ruth, the “Hannah Montana” starlet chatted with a few on-set workers, cracking a smile as she readied for a day behind the cameras.

Lindsay Lohan?s ?younger? sister Ali is 15 years old. Or at least that?s what we?ve been told for the last couple years. The problem is that Ali has a certain kind of bone structure that makes her look much older than she is. And not in a sophisticated way, like Elizabeth Taylor or Brooke Shields did when they were younger. There?s something creepier about the way Ali looks old.
Somehow, photographer Jonathan Ressler decided Ali should be included in his ?Extraordinary Women? exhibit. This is confusing on a number of levels. First off, Ali is very much not a woman. Secondly, she has done nothing extraordinary. And that?s not an insult ? she?s 15, she hasn?t saved the world yet. I mean she?s a Lohan so I don?t expect she?ll ever do much more than spend too much time in rehab, but it?s not fair to hold Ali accountable for what she?s going to do in the future. And last? actually, just her being a Lohan is a good enough reason why she shouldn?t be included as an ?extraordinary woman.?
What in the world were the prerequisites? ?Must look 45. Must give vague but unavoidable impression of sadness, desperation, and whiskey. Must be able to give camera empty, vacant, chilly stare.? Obviously Dina Lohan?s prints are all over this crime. I have no idea how, but somehow Dina made a photographer go blind.

It still sounds completely unwatchable. Charlie and Denise have so much vitriol for each other that it was always hard to tell who the crazy one was. Clarification: crazier one. But it seems to me it?s probably Denise. Their kids always look so miserable in photos. It was a big deal the one time a photographer caught them smiling. The last thing they need is the pressure of performing on camera. Yeah it?s a reality show, but let?s be real ? most of it is staged. Those two little girls need as much privacy and normalcy as they can get. And I really doubt their absence will make the show noticeably worse. Mostly because it was impossibly bad to begin with. Why drag little kids into that mess?

Rarely do I defend Jessica Simpson, but the controversy over her weight gain is way out of proportion. And though I never thought I?d use the word ?classy? to describe her, that?s exactly what she?s been. Simpson would have been perfectly in line if she?d yelled and screamed and railed at the press for making such a big deal about what I?m guessing is maybe 10 pounds. But instead she kept quiet and just went about her business.
Last night Jessica performed for the first time since the supposed ?fat? photos were leaked. While she didn?t address them directly, she talked about staying positive and reminding yourself there?s bigger issues out there.
Jessica Simpson made no mention of her controversial new curves at a concert Thursday night in Virginia, but she thanked fans for standing by her.
Clad in black leather pants, a hip-length black blazer and silver go-go heels, Simpson, 28, hit the stage promptly at 8:01 p.m. and performed a 40-minute set, opening with “These Boots” before introducing the tune, “Still Beautiful.”
“This song is off my new record… and it’s about finding the beauty in life, no matter what happens,” she told the audience at the University of Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena, where she performed with Rascal Flatts. Simpson later added, “Always remember that someone out there has it worse than you.”
And prior to singing “Pray Out Loud,” she told the audience, “I feel like in our world, we focus on so many things that are unimportant. And I really just wanted to say this.”
Throughout the show, Simpson — who struggled all night with her ear piece — was upbeat. Before leaving the stage, Simpson told fans, “Stay positive, pray out loud, give it up for my band … I love you guys. Good night!”

Jessica normally talks about passing gas and her love life during her concert chit chat, so what she said was a step up no matter what. But she certainly could have used last night as an opportunity to respond to the haters, but instead she took the high road. Jessica may be a lot of things ? not all of them necessarily good ? but she?s always struck me as a fundamentally nice person.
Most of us go through times when we put on some weight, for whatever reason. My body likes to add an unnecessary 7 pounds every winter, apparently thinking I’m part bear. It always goes away early in the spring once I?m out and about more. Jessica may very well be the same.
And while her outfit didn?t help any, I think the biggest issue was the unflattering camera angle while she was performing. No one looks good when shot from below. I?m not saying the camera was solely responsible, but it definitely didn?t help. I don?t know how celebrities manage to deal with so much body criticism, but publicly Jessica has handled it with grace.

It involves rubbing a syringe of estrogen on one arm every day, rubbing a syringe of progesterone on the other arm for two weeks of every month and vaginal injections of estriol.
Also, every morning she’ll take 40 pills, 15 of which are mixed in with a thick, yellow smoothie. Before bed, she takes another 20.
While she admits the routine makes her seem ?like some kind of fanatic,? she says it has helped her beat the ?Seven Dwarfs of Menopause: Itchy, B**chy, Sleepy, Sweaty, Bloated, Forgetful and All Dried Up.?
?I wanna be there,? she said, pointing to her head. ?Until I?m 110. And I’m going to do what I have to do to get there.?
Holy crap. A cancer patient doesn’t even take that many pills or injections. This bitch is insane. There’s no way I would even bring a needle within five feet of my crotch. If you told me that if I stabbed my penis every day with testosterone, my dick would grow four inches and sex would last longer than two minutes, I’d say no thanks. The laughter, embarrassment and endless crying isn’t that bad.

And the hits keep on coming for troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. Last year, her guest spot on ABC’s “Ugly Betty” was cut short, her film “Dare to Love Me” was indefinitely shelved, with a possible release date of 2010, and her other movie, “Labor Pains” is also in limbo after test screenings didn’t go so well. She was rumored to be starring in a new comedy with Jack Black, but that seems to have disappeared, too. Seems like the only work she can get these days is modeling for ad campaigns and playing sidekick to her girlfriend’s DJ gigs. Now, reports are surfacing that “Big Love” and “Mamma Mia” star Amanda Seyfried has beat Lohan out for a role in the much-anticipated adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s “A Woman of No Importance,” co-starring Annette Bening.
Mamma Mia! star Amanda Seyfried has beaten Lindsay Lohan to the lead role in a big-screen adaptation of Oscar Wilde play A Woman Of No Importance. Mean Girls star Lohan was first linked to the part in 2006, but she appears to have lost out to Seyfried, who will step back in time for the upper-class dark comedy, set in Britain’s Victorian era.
She will star opposite Sean Bean, who will portray womaniser Lord Illingworth, and Annette Bening will play his mother, according to Variety.

It certainly isn’t a big surprise - with questions swirling about Lindsay’s sobriety, and rumors about her on-set antics at “Ugly Betty,” casting her in a major role would be a huge risk that not many studios would be willing to take until she proves herself to be reliable. And Seyfried is a hot commodity right now, winning critical reviews for her role as the daughter of a Mormon polygamist family on the HBO drama “Big Love,” and gaining even more visibility as Meryl Streep’s daughter in “Mamma Mia.” As a veteran of the business, Lindsay should know all too well that there is always another pretty, talented young actress waiting in the wings if you should stumble.

Pete Wentz is the latest celebrity to defend Jessica Simpson against everyone calling her a fatty. Pete offered up a perfect Hallmark moment.
“I think that the media puts too harsh of a spotlight on women in general, and I think it’s a bummer,” the Fall Out Boy told Extra from the NFL Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash in Tampa, Florida Thursday, when asked about Simpson’s new curves.
“It’s bad for young women,” Wentz added. “I see it affecting young girls who come to our shows, and that’s a bummer.”
The bassist continued: “Real beauty is on the inside, man.”
Pete should tell Ashlee that “real beauty is on the inside” since she’s the same girl who got her nose done because everyone kept making fun of her. Plus, when was the last time you saw a celebrity dating a “full figure” chick. Never. Does that mean only celebrities think fat girls are ugly inside and out? Sounds like it. Wow, that Pete is a real asshole.

The final chapter in the ugly Madonna-Guy Ritchie divorce seems to be winding down. Aside from the numerous allegations from both sides, including rumors of cheating with a certain high-profile baseball player, this split has really been about two things: the divorce settlement and the children. Madonna was reportedly pissed as hell that she had to hand over $76 million to Ritchie in the settlement, but as far as custody of the children, it appears that Madge fared well. Her request to establish U.S. residency with the children has been given preliminary approval - which means that Lourdes’ two little brothers, Rocco and David, will be able to stay in the States.
Madonna has won her residency battle with GUY RITCHIE and will move their two sons to America, according to a new report.
ROCCO, eight, and three-year-old adopted tot DAVID will join sister LOURDES, 12, in New York.
Madonna is understood to have been given temporary permission to remove the two boys from Britain ? with the move expected to be made permanent shortly.
A source close to the negotiations told a newspaper: ?Everything is going to be resolved in the next couple of weeks.

Madonna?s spokeswoman refused to comment on her post-divorce plans.

I have to say, I’m surprised that Guy allowed the kids to be moved so far away. I hope there is a liberal visitation agreement in place, giving him lots of access to the kids. But given that Madonna is the mother of all control freaks, who knows? This is a woman who sends along a lengthy list of rules and instructions when the kids visit their father, for everything from what they eat to what they wear, listen to and touch. I also wonder how much privacy the kids are going to have living in NYC with their famous mom. I can’t help but think that Guy would have kept them more sheltered from media and paparazzi if they remained in the UK. How many shots of Madonna and the kids leaving that NYC Kabbalah center have we seen since the split?

Twenty-three-year-old Bar is reported to have a signed a deal worth six figures to promote the High Street chain’s underwear, which retails for between 11 and 22.
The blue-eyed beauty, who began modelling when she was only eight months old, will also appear in ads for the firm’s swimwear in the summer.

Leonardo DiCaprio?s model girlfriend Bar Refaeli has been tipped to front a revival of the U.S. TV series HOUSE OF STYLE. The popular show, which ran from 1989 to 2000, focused on fashion and design and was originally hosted by supermodel Cindy Crawford.
Now MTV is planning to bring the show back to the small screen - and producers hope to land the Titanic star’s lover or catwalk stunner Chanel Iman to take over presenting duties, according to New York gossip column PageSix.
Neither of the beauties has officially signed on to the project.

While Amy Winehouse was making everyone in St. Lucia uncomfortable with her unsolicited nudity, two men ransacked her vacated London apartment stealing $21,000 worth of property. The robbers reportedly made off with recording equipment, a flat screen TV and five “irreplaceable” guitars.
Police showed up at Amy’s residence at 4 a.m. when they received a call about a possible disturbance. They discovered the lock on her door had been kicked in and recovered a few items that the thieves dropped on the street.
Amy wasn’t too distressed when they called her. She found solace in the fact that she brought her favorite guitar with her which kept it from being lifted.
I’m worried. For the criminals. Do you think they’re alright? What sort of disease do you think they got? It must be weird contracting gonorrhea from a guitar. Considering you haven’t even stuck it in your ass yet.

I had to Google how old Ali Lohan is. I thought she was 27, but turns out she’s 15. Jesus. It’s like she has that disease that makes you age faster than everyone else. By the time she’s 18, her breasts will be swinging down by her knees and she’ll be sitting in a rocking chair telling kids three years her younger to get off her lawn. While other kids consider their 18th birthday a milestone because they get to go to strip clubs, Ali will consider hers a milestone because she’ll finally get her AARP card.

Mama needs to pay off her ex-husband. After a six-month touring break, Madonna has announced that she will be resuming her massively successful ?Sticky & Sweet? tour in Britain and Europe. The dates will be announced on January 30. This tour is the first tour under her $120 million Live Nation deal. ?Sticky & Sweet? is already one of the most financially successful tours in the history of music, and there?s talk of adding even more cities and dates to the roster.
Madonna will crank up her Sticky & Sweet tour again this summer with about 25 more shows in the U.K. and Europe. The initial trek wrapped December 21 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The final leg of the tour — already the top-grossing tour ever by a female or solo artist — will start in London at the O2 Arena on July 4. Madonna also will play the Manchester (U.K.) Evening News Arena. The rest of the shows on the tour will be at stadiums in European markets that Madonna has never played or hasn’t played in several years, according to tour producer Arthur Fogel, chairman of global music for Live Nation. The complete route and list of venues will be released Friday (January 30).
Adding another leg to a tour is a highly unusual move for Madonna. “It absolutely has not happened in the four tours I’ve been involved with,” Fogel told Billboard.com. “There has been talk (of extending) during each one, but it has never come to be. But with this one, she loves the show, she’s had a great time and she’s excited about playing new markets.”
The extension will take Sticky & Sweet to around 80 shows, and boost it well into the top five grossing tours of all time. Despite the more than six-month break, the tour will feature the same production and performers as in 2008.
The Sticky & Sweet tour was the first under a 10-year multi-rights agreement between Madonna and Live Nation, valued in some reports at about $120 million.

I wonder what those performers and production people did for six months? Just waited around, wondering what Madonna was up to? I?ve never seen one of Madonna?s tours, but they?re supposed to pretty weird. On this one, she employs a lot of visual effects, costume changes, and very few of her old songs. Don?t her fans get pissed at that? You go to see her perform ?Like a Virgin? and ?Vogue? and you end up hearing a ten-minute version of her ?rap? song.

During a recent interview, Ang gushed about her partner/babydaddy and his fatherly skills, noting that he has made all of her dreams come true.
She said, ?Brad can?t be described using words but to wake up and see him with our kids, taking care of us or to wake up in his arms and look in his eyes makes me the proudest woman in the world. He is the man that made all my dreams come true, and making him and my little kids happy everyday is my number one priority.?

So remember the story about the stage manager that stole set props from Lipstick Jungle and put them up on eBay? Well Brooke Shields claims the he also stole her wallet according to Gatecrasher.
“[Arthur Moreira] is the same guy who stole my wallet out of my dressing room last season, right out of my purse!” Shields tells us. Last week, reports surfaced that Moreira took more than $30K worth of designer duds.
Says Shields: “He’s not very bright, because the purse was worth more than the wallet.”
Poor Brooke because that totally sucks, but I love her response to it.

This week’s National Enquirer has a somewhat misleading inset cover story that reads “Finally! A Baby For Demi & Ashton. Summer delivery after years of trying.” They may be expecting a baby this summer, but Demi isn’t pregnant with her fourth child. Moore, 46, and Kutcher, 30, are said to be planning to adopt a baby boy. They’ve been together for six years and have been married for three and a pregnancy hasn’t been possible for them even with fertility assistance. The couple is rumored to have been inspired to adopt by new President Obama’s call for service.
Demi… and Ashton are believed to be going through a private adoption agency and hope to be parents by the summer. It’s a well-deserved triumph for the couple who suffered through failed attempts at in vitro fertilization….
“Both Ashton and Demi finally came to terms with the reality that (childbirth) is just not going to happen for them,” an insider told The Enquirer. “They had always resisted adoption because they wanted a baby of their own, but now everything has changed.
“They feel this is the best thing that could happen because they are able to give a child a great, loving start in life.”
The couple are enthusiastic backers of President Obama, and his election made them more optimistic about the future, which led them to get more serious about parenthood, said the insider.
“The couple talked a lot during Obama’s campaign and about his message,” divulged a close friend.
“It hit them that in this new period of hope and change, one of the best things they could do for a child - and for themselves - is to adopt a baby.”

The Enquirer reminds of Ashton and Demi’s star-filled video in which they humorously asked us to volunteer and help make the world a better place now that we have a new administration in Washington. Some of the suggestions in the video included smiling more, using less plastic bags and bottled water, and not flipping people off when we get pissed off in traffic. Ashton just recorded a petulant home video in which he swore and angrily complained about his neighbor’s home construction starting at 7am. If the dude would have followed his own advice, broadcast to the world just a week prior, he would have bitten his tongue and took the matter up with his neighbor and/or the town instead of bitching about it to the world immediately.
Now that Ashton is going to become a new dad, if this story is true, he should learn to deal with things with more maturity. He’s not going to be sleeping in much longer, and some construction next door is going to become a minor issue once he and Demi have a baby to care for.
It is thought that Demi and Ashton will adopt a boy. Demi has three daughters from her marriage to Bruce Willis, and she once mentioned in an interview that she wanted a boy to “balance out the estrogen” in her family.

The National Enquirer has a story this week titled “Tom & Katie’s Ugly Public Showdown.” It’s based on two photos of the pair in Berlin after the premiere of Valkyrie on January 20. Tom looks like he’s yelling and pointing at Katie while she looks down at the ground and seems to be cowering. I found other photos in that series, below, and it’s more like Tom is mad about something else and Katie is just trying to stay out of it. She’s seen smiling and touching him on the back around that same time, so while they’re definitely looking strained it’s not necessarily due to each other and most couples have tense moments like that.
The Enquirer’s piece may be jumping to conclusions based on photos and Katie’s gaunt and tired appearance, but there are some facts in the article that suggest that Katie is continuing to distance herself from her husband for the sake of her career. She will return to New York in February to start filming a comedy and she’s also auditioning for the lead in a musical. At least she’s getting work.
Katie is considering buying a larger permanent home in New York, sources say.
She’ll be back in the Big Apple in February to film “The Extra Man,” a comedy with Kevin Kline and John C. Reilly, and she’s also auditioning for a lead part in the musical version of “Finding Neverland.” But a lengthy New York stay isn’t a lock, said the source.
“Katie still has to persuade Tom to agree to let her go again for an extended period. He hates them being apart, so it won’t be easy,” said the insider.
“And while Katie loves Tom, she’s given up a lot for him - her independence, all her old friends. Despite all that, she’s happy with Tom for the most part. I think she simply yearns for more freedom.”

Katie sang during her guest role on TV’s “Eli Stone,” but whether she has the chops to carry a live musical remains to be seen. It seems like she’s definitely trying to assert her independence if she’s continuing to stay in New York after her stint on Broadway, but maybe she just made contacts in NY and that’s where the opportunities are for her now. These two probably aren’t breaking up anytime soon, but Katie may be seeing that life with her teen idol Tom Cruise is much different from the fairytale she dreamed of as a girl. All that designer clothing and jet setting can’t buy personal fulfillment, happiness, or an Oscar worthy role. If she wants to further her career she’s going to have to do it on her own and on the other coast.

Naomi Watts has given an interview to Parade magazine, and rather than refuse to talk about her relationship with Liev Schreiber and the death of her former flame Heath Ledger, she didn?t shy away from the subject at all.
On Heath Ledger:
?I hadn?t really been that familiar with his work,? Watts recalls. ?Then, when I got to the set and did that first scene with him, I was like, ?Wow! This guy is alive.? It was just something deep in his eyes. You could look into them, and they would tell a thousand stories in one glance. There was a wonderful mixture of power and fragility at work in everything he did, which just pulls you in. His strength didn?t scare you. It intrigued you. And his fragility touched you.?
The couple parted amicably in 2004, separated by the distance of two growing careers, but stayed friends until Ledger?s tragic death from an accidental overdose in early 2008 at age 28. ?It?s still incredibly difficult,? Watts says, her voice trailing off.
On her relationship with Liev Schreiber:
In 2005, she connected with Liev Schreiber, a powerful actor in his own right. ?I started out living in L.A., and then I met this guy who hates L.A.!? Watts says, laughing. Her partner?s dark intensity compelled that side of her own personality. ?He?s a complicated man, which I?ve always been drawn toward in men,? she says. ?He?s fiercely intelligent.?
Watts refuses to say when or even if she and Schreiber will conventionalize their relationship. ?It?s not like I?ve grown up having this dream of a fairy-tale wedding,? she says. ?My mother married twice and had two divorces. And Liev comes from the same kind of background. Maybe one day we?ll just wake up and go, ?Hey, let?s do this.? And maybe not. He and I have a family. We?re very much together. We just don?t have that certificate, and that?s okay with both of us. He gave me a beautiful ring, although I?m not wearing it right now.?

To say that Liev Schreiber comes from a similar background of divorced parents is underplaying the truth a little. Liev?s parent?s were involved in a custody dispute, which resulted in his father kidnapping him briefly, before a court battle which saw him returned to his mother. He spent a brief stint of his childhood in a commune, then an ashram, and going by a Hindu name. I don?t think these are the typical experiences of a divorced child.
However, I see Naomi?s point, which is that for some children of divorced parents who couldn?t maintain a friendship, the family unit is more important than the piece of paper.
Naomi talks about her start in Hollywood:
?It was awful,? she says. Her defense was to try to become someone else: ?Be the pretty girl, the funny girl, the sexy girl, be whatever it was they wanted,? Watts recalls. It didn?t take her far. ?You get to a point where you?ve become that person for that day, and you dilute your personality to the point where it?s actually nonexistent. You walk into a room, and you don?t know who you are or who you should be, and they can?t connect with you because it?s not a truth.?
But Kidman, who was starting to get important movie roles, encouraged her. ?I remember many times saying, ?Oh, I just can?t do it. I?m going to wrap it up and call it a day.? And Nicole would say, ?Hang in there.? She told me that it just takes one thing?and she was right in the end.?
In 2000, director David Lynch (Twin Peaks) was searching for the lead actress for his next movie, Mulholland Drive. Lynch was looking through a pile of publicity photos when something about Watts? face stopped him. He called her in.
?I felt he was genuinely interested,? Watts remembers. ?He wanted to know about my family. It was just conversation, and I wasn?t used to having that, and I felt myself relax. I let him get rid of all those faades that I had built up over the years.?
Parade
I love that Naomi and Nicole have maintained a relationship right through their teens to middle age, despite the fact that Nicole married a superstar and went to Hollywood while Naomi stayed home in Australia and did small roles. Parade implies that she was a small fish in a big pond here, but I honestly can?t think of anything I?ve seen her in prior to ‘Mulholland Drive’, even though looking at her IMBD page I have definitely seen some of those Australian films.

Paris Hilton has always maintained that her blonde air-head act is just a TV image she concocted to get laughs and that in real life she’s not actually that big of an idiot. She reiterated this on the British morning show GMTV while promoting her upcoming reality series, Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend.
“For five seasons I was stuck doing this character,” she says. “It was kind of hard always having to play that character when it’s not who I am.”
She adds, “I just say jokes but they think I’m serious, which I think is funny, and I think I kind of play up the image sometimes because ? whatever ? it’s just entertainment.”
Paris should drop it. A kindergartner could outwit. You could put a box over a candybar and a two year old would be the first to figure out that all you had to do was take the box off to get to it. All Paris would do is sit there dumbfounded for an hour wondering how you made it disappear.
