Jamie Lynn Spears has been promoting her new memoir, which is called Things I Should Have Said. It was originally titled I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out, but she changed it after backlash for using a line from her sister Britneys lyrics. Jamie Lynn has seemed unprepared to answer questions about Britneys forced conservatorship and comes across as defensive. In an interview with Good Morning America, Jamie Lynn claimed that she tried to help Britney, but that Britney didnt take the steps to end the conservatorship after she reached out. Britney has previously stated that Jamie Lynn did not try to help her and that she sees her sister as complicit. Following her sisters GMA interview, Britney released a long statement on Twitter putting Jamie Lynn on blast. She used a lot of emojis and it reads like a friend texting her thoughts. Heres some of what she wrote [via Huffington Post] and you can see the statement below. Unfortunately Britney is sick with a high fever, but is feeling a little better with some Aleve.
Britney Spears slammed Jamie Lynn Spears in a lengthy Twitter statement Thursday, accusing her younger sister of trying to sell a book at her expense.
The pop star said she watched Jamie Lynn?s ?Good Morning America? interview and was bothered by the comment that her behavior was out of control.
?[Jamie Lynn] was never around me much 15 years ago at that time,? Britney said. ?So why are they even talking about that unless she wants to sell a book at my expense??
Addressing an alleged rift between the sisters, Jamie Lynn told the talk show that she had ?only ever loved and supported? Britney, ?so I don?t know why we?re in this position right now.?
She was apparently referring to Britney?s unhappy reaction after Jamie Lynn performed a medley of remixed Britney songs at the 2017 Radio Disney Awards.
?I know it may sound like a silly thing to most people but I wrote a lot of my songs and my sister was the baby,? Britney said in her statement. ?She never had to work for anything. Everything was always given to her!!!!?

As for Jamie Lynn, shes always seemed like a little brat when it comes to her sister. From performing her sisters songs to bragging that she stays at the Ritz instead of her sisters condo in Florida, she just seems rude. I understand that her family is massively dysfunctional and that she was just a teen mom when her sister was put under a conservatorship. Shes 30 now and a grown woman. At the very least she should have more diplomatic answers to these questions about her sister. Jamie Lynn sounded like she was blaming Britney for the conservatorship. At least Britney is out of it now and can respond to her family, but shes lost so much over the years. I hope she sues the crap out of her father.

According to Jamie Lynn?s promo tour, she?s been writing this book since 2017, when her 17-year-old daughter Maddie was almost killed in an ATV accident. But I wonder if that title was decided recently. It seems a bit convenient now especially given that?s Jamie Lynn?s promo tour theme. And what she should have said, according to Jaime Lynn, is that she?s been supporting her older sister Britney this entire time, but she just never told us. Now that Britney is free and saying the opposite of what Jamie Lynn is trying to sell, Jamie Lynn has to ?separate herself from her family? even though she?s only ever ?love(d) and support(ed)? Britney.
Jamie Lynn Spears is opening up about her complicated family dynamic.
Ahead of the Jan. 18 release of her memoir Things I Should Have Said, the actress and country singer-songwriter, 30, addresses her relationship with her older sister Britney in the new issue of PEOPLE.
Ive only ever tried to be helpful, so any notion that says the contrary is just completely ridiculous, Jamie Lynn, 30, says of her strained relationship with her sister, 40, who has repeatedly criticized her family on social media over the last six months.
For Jamie Lynn, it was really important for me to separate myself from my family to focus on the family Ive created, which is me, my husband and my daughters. Setting those boundaries in place was really important, says the Sweet Magnolias actress, who is raising daughters Maddie, 13, and Ivey, 3, with husband Jamie Watson, 40. I am not my family. I am my own person. I fought very hard and worked very hard to establish myself and to build the life that I have today.
After years of trying to keep up appearances, Jamie Lynn is now quick to admit no family is perfect.

I do believe there was little Jamie Lynn could do to help Britney when this all began. She was too young and too occupied with her newborn baby to know or do anything. However, Britney is intent on refuting Jamie Lynn?s claims that she has always been there for her sister. Maybe Britney sees anything short of actively fighting her father Jamie as a sign of aligning with him, but it seems like Britney has a specific complaint about each family member. It?s a hard call because Jamie Lynn?s admissions seem convenient now that she has a book to sell. But at the same time, this is when the conservatorship ended, and the claims were made so she has to address them.
It doesn?t help that Jaime Lynn?s comments about the conservatorship have been odd as well. She said she was asked to be a part of the conservatorship as an adult but that she ?declined it nicely.? However, court documents show she was appointed trustee of Britney?s estate in 2018 even though People noted she ?never filled the role.? So did Britney see Jamie Lynn?s name and assume she was profiting off her? Or is Jamie Lynn leaving something out? Jaime Lynn also claims she spoke to Britney?s old legal team about ending the conservatorship but that that discussion ?did not go well.? If she was truly trying to end the conservatorship, working from the inside out would make sense. But that?s not the argument she?s making. She?s saying she was only a figurehead who didn?t know anything. Jamie Lynn?s latest claim is that she set up ways for Britney to get out of the conservatorship throughout the years. But she lays the blame for it not ending at Britney?s feet, saying, I did take the steps to help, but how many times can I take the steps without ? you know, she has to walk through the door. If all that?s true, then she clearly knew there was something wrong with the conservatorship and never spoke out in Britney?s defense. I can?t decide whether Jamie Lynn is complicit or just really bad at defending her innocence.

Thirteen years later, and Britney?s new lawyer is basically confirming all of my theories about Jamie. Mathew Rosengart has already called for a comprehensive audit of Britney?s finances because he believes Jamie Spears has been taking her money for more than a decade. This is a huge reason why Jamie doesn?t want to step down as conservator too: not only will he not have access to Britney?s money anymore, an independent audit will reveal the extent of Jamie?s financial crimes. Speaking of, Rosengart claims Jamie is attempting to extort Britney for her nominal ?freedom.?
Britney Spears? lawyer is keeping up his blistering attacks on her father, accusing Jamie Spears of trying to ?extort? $2 million in payments in exchange for stepping down from her conservatorship.
The attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has been seeking since July to have Jamie Spears removed from his position of control over her finances. Earlier this month, Jamie Spears agreed that it would be best for him step down from the conservatorship, saying he did not want a public fight with his daughter. However, he did not provide a timetable for his resignation, and appeared to open the door to a negotiated resolution.
In a filing on Monday, Rosengart argued that Jamie Spears is seeking to use his leverage to compel his daughter?s estate to pay $1.3 million in attorneys? fees, $500,000 to Spears? former management company, as well as additional payments to Jamie Spears himself. Rosengart?s filing makes it clear that he has no interest in negotiating Jamie Spears? departure, and is looking instead to Judge Brenda Penny to order his removal at the next court hearing, on Sept. 29.
?The status quo is no longer tolerable, and Britney Spears will not be extorted,? Rosengart wrote. ?Mr. Spears?s blatant attempt to barter suspension and removal in exchange for approximately $2 million in payments, on top of the millions already reaped from Ms. Spears?s estate by Mr. Spears and his associates, is a non-starter.?
Rosengart had earlier accused Jamie Spears of enriching himself at the expense of his daughter?s estate, and of ?dissipating? her fortune. Jamie Spears has denied wrongdoing and defended his handling of her financial affairs.
?Having finally acknowledged that his time as Conservator should end, Mr. Spears is obligated to step down without condition and without seeking to extract anything further from his daughter,? Rosengart argued.
He has asked the court to appoint an accountant to replace Spears? father as the conservator of her estate.

Again, while I have no doubt that Jamie Spears gets off on physically and emotionally controlling Britney, the biggest ?prize? of the conservatorship was always Jamie?s plundering of Britney?s fortune. I?m thinking back to Kevin Federline filing for an increase in child support payments in 2018 and basing the request on Britney?s increased income from her Vegas residency. Jamie was so mad and he tried to smear K-Fed ten different ways. K-Fed and his lawyer calmly asked the court for an audit of Britney?s recent finances and suddenly Jamie shut the hell up and negotiated everything quietly. Kevin ended up getting more than he asked for. That?s how badly Jamie wanted to avoid any kind of audit. All that to say, it doesn?t surprise me that Jamie is trying to extort Britney and get paid on his way out the door.

Living it up in Sin City, Jamie Lynn Spears took a break from his/her busy schedule to make time for the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards earlier tonight (April 6).
The "How Could I Want More" songstress couldn?t wait to mingle with fellow famous folks outside the MGM Grand Garden Arena before checking out all the action inside.
Tonight, the biggest and brightest stars of Country Music will get their due respect, but only the top artists will walk away with a trophy.
The nominees for the coveted Entertainer of the Year title include Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, George Strait and Taylor Swift.

She was quite the blushing bride, and now The Knot has an exclusive photo of Jamie Lynn Spears moments after she became Mrs. Jamie Watson.
The ?Zooey 101? starlet got hitched to her handsome husband on Friday (March 14) at the Audubon Tea Room Garden in New Orleans, Louisiana at 7pm, and of course her uber-famous older sister Britney Spears was in the house.
Jamie Lynn wore a lace Liancarlo mermaid wedding dress with a plunging neckline and a cathedral-length lace veil while her daughter Maddie was gorgeous in a white flower girl gown.
Trying not to outshine her little sis, the ?Toxic? songstress donned a silver Herve Leger dress and her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James looked dapper in their black tuxedos and white bow ties.
An eyewitness told Us Weekly, "It was a beautiful ceremony and very emotional. Jamie Lynn was crying during the vows and Jamie looked like the happiest guy I've ever seen get married. After they were pronounced husband and wife, he turned to the audience and said, 'Yeah!' He was so excited and everyone was cheering."

Almost a year ago exactly, Britney Spears? little sister Jamie Lynn Spears announced her second engagement. She was only 21 years old then, and a single mother of daughter Maddie. One year later, Jamie Lynn got hitched. Maddie, just five-and-a-half years old, was her flower girl/bridesmaid, I think. Jamie Lynn married a man named Jamie Watson, who is nine years older than her. He looks older than that, I know. But they?ve apparently been together for a while and judging solely from JLS?s Instagram, he seems like a nice, normal dude and he spends a lot of time with Maddie, which is nice.
She’s a Southern bride ? and couldn’t be more glowing. Jamie Lynn Spears wed businessman Jamie Watson on Friday in New Orleans. Celebrating at a reception at the Audubon Tea Room, the newlyweds ? he in a dark suit with a silky tie, she in a v-neck Liancarlo gown ? cut into a five-tiered cake dotted with sugared roses. Jamie Lynn’s 5-year-old daughter Maddie stood next to the couple in her own white dress.
Guests ? including NASCAR’s Ricky Carmichael and Fox Racing President and CEO Pete Fox ? were gifted beer cozies emblazoned with “Jamie Lynn & Jamie March 14, 2014? as favors. A colorful assortment of roses decorated the tables, which were also glowing with candles from glass votives.
The 22-year-old bride’s gown was purchased at I Do Bridal Couture in Baton Rogue, the store confirmed on Instagram in January.
“Finally found my perfect dress,” she shared on Instagram in January along with a photo of herself holding both Maddie and a bag from the store as she stood next to mom Lynne. The wedding comes a year after Jamie Lynn excitedly shared her engagement news on Instagram. The duo had been dating on and off for three years, Watson, 31, told the New York Post last year.
The younger Spears sister made her mark as a teenager when she starred on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101, but left the show after it was revealed she was pregnant at 16. She moved in and became engaged to Maddie’s father, Casey Aldridge, although the duo split in 2010 ? the same year she began dating Watson.

Us Weekly says Britney and David Lucado were there and that Britney wore silver. The wedding was ?intimate?. Oh, and Jamie included her nephews Sean Preston and Jayden James in the wedding party too, they followed Maddie down the aisle. Jamie Lynn carried a bouquet of white and Pink peonies. I would imagine that Papa Spears would have given her away, but Us Weekly makes no mention of that, so I don?t know. Jamie Lynn cried during the vows and at the reception, there was a REAL CAKE. With five tiers and lots of sugar. HUZZAH.
Basically, I?m completely fine with all of this. I wish Jamie Lynn well, and all the happiness in the world. I think the Spears family sort of dealt with Jamie Lynn?s 16-and-pregnant stuff the right way: they took her home to Louisiana and let her figure it out in privacy. She seems to adore her daughter and she found a nice, steady man who will probably be a great stepfather to Maddie. This is as close as we’re going to come to a Southern fairy-tale ending. My only ?WTF?? is that they?re both named Jamie. Not to mention Papa Spears is named Jamie too. THREE JAMIES.

Jumping back into the spotlight, Jamie Lynn Spears, who has kept a low profile since the birth of her daughter Maddie in 2008, is going to be featured on big sister Britney Spears' latest studio album.
In an interview with E! News, the 22-year-old reflected on her pregnancy, saying, "One day, me and my friend were riding around in my mom's little convertible and I had not been feeling well. I thought it was just stress with work and all kinds of different things. My friend was like, 'Why don't you just take a test?' I was like, 'OK, I will.'
"We were filling up with gas, so I went in the gas station and took the test and it was positive," she said. "So that is the glamorous way that I found out I was going to have my little nugget!"
"I thought my next step was moving in the next part of my career," Jamie said, unsure about the prospect of becoming a mother at age 17. "That's what I felt I was going to be doing and this made no sense. This made no sense and I didn't understand it and I was young."
The former "Zoey 101" starlet then revealed the musical nature of her rumored "second baby," saying, "I think that now it's like real. It's like being like 'Oh my gosh! I'm going to have a baby.' It's seeing it all here and it's real. It's like, 'Oh my goodness, I'm really gonna do this.' And it is; it is. It's like my second baby."

I had kind of forgotten about Britney Spears? little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Did you know that Jamie is only 21 years old? Crazy, right? It feels like she was a teenage mother a decade ago, but Jamie?s daughter Maddie is only 4 years old right now (I think Maddie turns 5 in a few weeks though). When Jamie got pregnant in 2007, she was the star of a Nickelodeon show and best known for being Brit-Brit?s little sister. The Spears family quickly moved Jamie back to Louisiana to have the baby, and from what little I know about her, I think Jamie has been living quietly in Louisiana all this time. She was with Maddie?s father, Casey Aldridge, until 2010. Since then she?s been with Jamie Watson, who is currently 30 years old. Jamie Lynn just announced her second engagement!
Here comes the bride! It looks like there’s going to be a wedding in the Spears family after all — Britney’s little sister, Jamie Lynn, is engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Jamie Watson.
Spears, 21, announced the happy news on Twitter, with an Instagram picture of herself flashing the ring and hugging her fiance, 30. “Guesssss what??????” she captioned the sweet shot.
Minutes later, she posted another photo: a close-up of the huge, round-cut diamond. “He did good,” she wrote, with a smiley-faced emoticon.
This will be the first marriage for the former Nickelodeon star. She was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, the father of her 4-year-old daughter, Maddie. They split for good in 2010.
Spears’ engagement comes just two months after news of her older sister’s broken engagement. Britney, 31 — married twice before, to pal Jason Alexander and ex Kevin Federline, with whom she has two kids — was set to wed boyfriend Jason Trawick until the couple’s January 2013 split.

My mind is particularly warped right now because I spent the weekend curled up with The Purity Myth by Jessica Valenti ? it?s a book about how damaging and counter-productive all of the ?no sex education? programs are and how fetishizing teenage girls? virginity is simply wrong, and all I can think about now is how different Jamie Lynn?s life could have been. Still, I?m sure she adores her daughter and I think it?s probably a good sign that we rarely hear about her and she?s living a relatively quiet life. My one negative comment: I?m sketched out by the age difference (21 versus 30 is a BIG deal) and by how much older Jamie Watson LOOKS. Also: Jamie and Jamie? And Jamie Lynn?s dad is named Jamie too. I just? can?t.

Jamie Lynn Spears is Britney’s little sister and her claim to fame of course is getting knocked up at 16-years-old effectively ending any career she thought of having in the entertainment industry. One of the original Teen Moms if you will.
Anyway, she posted a water balloon fight she had on Instagram. It looked like a lot of fun. But you know what would have been more fun? If those balloons were filled with wadded up $100 bills that she could have gotten whoring herself out to Disney had her boyfriend only used a condom.
