In an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" airing on Friday afternoon (September 25), Bijou Phillips responded to her half-sister Mackenzie's allegation that she had a decade-long incestuous relationship with their father, John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas, according to a report from The Associated Press.
In statement read by Winfrey on the show, Bijou said she was 13 when Mackenzie first told her about the relationship. Bijou, now 29, said she was angered by the revelation.
Mackenzie returned to "Oprah" on Friday, following her Wednesday interview with the talk show host, during which she said her father raped her and gave her drugs when she was 18.
Bijou also gave a statement to Us Weekly. "Mackenzie's history with our father is hers, but also clouded with 30 years of drug abuse. ... I hope she can come to terms with this and find peace," the actress said. "The life I had with my father was very different. He was Mr. Mom, encouraging and loving. The man that raised me would never be capable of doing such things, and if he was, it is heartbreaking to me to think that my family would leave me alone with him.
"I understand Mackenzie's need to come clean with a history she feels will help others, but it's devastating to have the world watch as we try and mend broken fences, especially when the man in question isn't here to defend himself," the statement continued.
Genevieve Waite Phillips, who was married to John when the abuse allegedly occurred, disputed the Mackenzie's account in a statement on Wednesday's episode of "Oprah." "John was a good man, who had the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction," the statement said. "He was incapable, no matter how drunk or drugged he was, of having such a relationship with his own child."

The “Melrose Place” hottie told press that she and husband Pete Wentz are just getting started on their brood, and she’s hoping to have another baby in the not-too-distant future.
She explained, “Oh gosh-we definitely want a big family. We’re young-we’ll see. I would love to have a big family and I know Pete would, too.”
And it sounds like she’s very happy with Wentz as a husband, as well as a father. “He’s amazing - he’s my best friend and my husband.”
As for any future albums, Ashlee said, “Right now I’ve got my hands full with Bronx and the show, so nothing at the moment. Whenever I get inspired by it and I’m ready to write again I will, but right now, I’m good.”

Dressed as a paramedic, the “Good Will Hunting” hunk has taken on dual responsibilities for the new movie – acting as both a character and the director.
Meanwhile, Ben recently spoke with press of his ambitions of doing more work behind the camera, telling, “I wanted to change how my life was going in terms of the quality of it. It was a little crazy and I wanted to flush some stuff away, and I thought it would be smart to walk away and take a break and that was a good opportunity for me to direct.”
He continued: “It was about two years I wasn’t in any movies and that was the best thing for me artistically and personally. It got me back centered and grounded, and made me realize what I love doing, making movies, the art of making movies and it’s not about me being on the poster. I want to do things I’m really proud of.”

I?m not sure why I didn?t predict this. I apologize, because this one caught me slightly off-guard - and now I think there might be something to it. Last week, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their six kids went off on a little working holiday to Africa. While Brad and the kids stayed somewhere in Kenya, Angelina spent one day at a refugee camp on the Somalia-Kenya border. When she came back to her family, she picked up Zahara and Shiloh, and took them to Ethiopia to scout locations for an official Zahara Jolie-Pitt malaria and HIV/AIDS clinic. Or so the story played out last week.
This week, it seems like the whole ?scouting clinic locales? was nothing but an excuse for a good ol? fashioned baby-adoptin?. So Star Magazine says - they?re claiming that Angelina visited an orphanage in Ethiopia, and now she?s ready to add to the Jolie-Pitt clan:
?Angelina really bonded with this one little girl,? says an insider, explaining that Angelina first laid eyes on the 3-year-old during last week?s visit. ?There were actually three kids who tugged at her heartstrings, but she absolutely fell in love with this child.?
Angelina?s not the only one smitten. ?Shiloh and Zahara hugged the little girl as they were leaving? Angie said it was so sweet, and she?s determined to make her part of the family.?
Unfortunately, Brad Pitt is the major obstacle. ?He?s dead set against another adoption right now and really flipped out on Angie when she told him? he thinks she isn?t being practical.?
But a second source tells Star, ?Angelina isn?t asking Brad if they should adopt again, she?s telling him.?
The fight turned especially nasty when Brad accused her of being ?like a kid in a pet store, wanting all the cute puppies? She screamed at him that these weren?t dogs that needed a place to live, they were children. She was livid!?
A few days later, when Brad was headed out to Spain, Angelina backed out of the trip to retaliate. ?She flat-out refused to go along. Angie doesn?t want to support him if he won?t support her.?
?Brad is exhausted and just can?t handle it right now? he begged Angie to reconsider and revisit adopting in a year or so.?
?Angelina made it absolutely clear this is going to happen as soon as possible,? continues the insider. Why the rush? Angelina made a promise to Zahara that they would find her another sister from Africa, reveals the pal. ?She intends to keep her word.?
?Angelina has already started the paperwork, and everything?s moving forward. She?s going to get this child, with or without Brad?s help.?

Obviously, I realize Star did this story a certain way because they wanted it to really be about ?Brad and Angelina have been fighting non-stop for four-and-a-half years, why did they ever get together? stuff. But I think Star missed the point on something that may have a grain of truth - that Angelina probably wants to adopt again, and is probably already visiting orphanages. I think that may be true because it seems to be her (and Brad?s) m.o. About a year after adopting Zahara, she gave birth to Shiloh. A year after Shiloh, they adopted Pax. A year after Pax, Angelina had the twins. The twins are more than a year old - so it seems reasonable to me, time-wise, that they are considering it. She and Brad could have even visited orphanages while they were in Kenya, for all we know.
As for the idea that Brad?s the one holding back - he?s the one that spent the last year talking about how he wants even more kids. Also - for the alleged quote attributed to Brad saying Angelina wanted all of the ?cute puppies? - all I could think about was ?all of the cute gerbils?. In Star?s next story, they should have Brad screaming at Angelina, ?No more babies - from now on, we?ll just adopt gerbils, you bitch!?

I?ve never found Kirsten Dunst very impressive. She?s there and that?s fine, but for the life of me I can?t figure out why she?s famous. She?s not the worst actress ever but there?s nothing noteworthy about her. Except her consistently messy appearance. Kirsten?s never struck me as particularly bright or self-aware, and now there?s a court record to confirm it. Yesterday she testified against the man who stole her purse from a hotel suite two years ago. The New York Post referred to her as ?Kirsten Dunce? (snicker). She didn?t have the slightest idea how to present herself in a court of law and came off as a complete airhead; giggling and interrupting herself and saying ?like? a lot.
Maybe Spider-Man could have saved her — from herself. Actress Kirsten Dunst giggled her way through a half-hour on a Manhattan witness stand yesterday, apparently at sea when it comes to speaking in public without the help of a Hollywood script. Dunst, 27, who plays love interest Mary Jane in all three “Spider-Man” movies, was in court to do the kind of serious work usually left to her on-screen superhero sweetie — nailing a thief, in this case the Brooklyn car mechanic accused of swiping her handbag in 2007.
But the ditzy Dunst virtually fluttered into court in a black blouse, tight black pants and black stilettos, flipping her long blond hair and giving the judge a perky “Hi, how ya doin’?” even before sitting down in the witness chair.
Then — in oddly cheerful testimony punctuated by girlish chirps of “I mean,” and “OK,” and “Like,” and “Yeah!” — the actress de scribed how, two years ago, she returned to her swanky penthouse suite at the Soho Grand to find her $2,000 Balenciaga purse had vanished from where she’d left it on a bed.
“We realized — yeah! — somebody had taken it,” the ac tress told jurors, de scribing the moment she and British co- star Simon Pegg re turned to the pent house to find their “things” had vanished. The $3,500-a-night suite was being used as a green room as they filmed scenes for “How to Lose Friends & Alienate People” in the hotel lobby and on West Broadway.
“Like, it could have been five times, I can’t really remember,” the star laughed when prosecutor Patricia Stolfi asked how many times she’d been in and out of the penthouse that night. Asked the approximate time, she giggled again, “The sun was setting. I mean rising! Excuse me!”
For all her giggles, Dunst did what prosecutors needed — tell jurors that [defendant] Jimenez did not have permission or authority to either enter her suite or possess her handbag.

I would totally be cheerful and too excited to remember the difference between a setting and rising sun if I were testifying against a thief. Talk about flighty. I actually think it?s good Kirsten?s an actress. If her career depending on coming up with words on her own and putting them together in a coherent manner, she might not get far. She?s good at mastering the flip of the hair and confused giggle. And being rescued by spiders and whatnot. The Post noted that Dunst did get her purse back ? minus the $2,000. The robber left it in a dumpster in Brooklyn. Clearly no lasting psychological harm was done, and I?m assuming it?s safe to say he?ll be convicted. All thanks to Kirsten?s edge-of-your-seat testimony.

Last week after Jessica Simpson?s dog Daisy was snatched by a coyote right in front of her, she received an outpouring of sympathy, but also a little bit of criticism. Jess wasn?t able to accept that Daisy was really gone, and while that?s a natural reaction, she unfortunately chose to tweet about it. Naturally that meant lots of celebrities were responding to Jessica?s loss, and Martha Stewart ? being Martha Stewart and thus a corrector ? said that Jessica should have been watching Daisy more closely. Now Martha?s corrected herself (possibly a first!) and offered a more appropriately empathic response.
Martha Stewart made a public apology to Jessica Simpson Thursday over the loss of the singer’s beloved dog, Daisy.
“I said that she should have been watching her dog more closely, but I feel very, very sorry for anybody that loses a pet,” the master homemaker said on The Martha Stewart Show.
Earlier this month, Stewart seemed to chastise Simpson for not looking out for her dog more carefully after Daisy was snatched by a coyote in front of Simpson’s eyes. But now Stewart has turned more sympathetic.
“Jessica, I hope you find your pet, but if you don’t, I’m really sorry that you lost one,” she added.
The loss of her dog has been hard for Simpson, who thought of Daisy almost as her child, according to friends. “Daisy was her baby,” one pal tells PEOPLE. “It’s going to put her into a tailspin.”
Another source says the singer is “really upset,” but is “focusing on work and spending time with her family and friends.”

Martha lost two of her beloved Chow Chows within a year of each other. The first, Paw-Paw, seems to have died of natural causes. Martha displayed some sweet photos of her dog on her blog, including a photo of him wrapped in a white sheet tied with a silver bow before his burial. The second dog, Genghis Khan, died in a freak accident while being boarded in a kennel this past March. There was a propane explosion at the kennel which killed many of the dogs, and many police and the propane deliveryman were badly burned trying to rescue them. It?s a very sad story that reminds us just how dearly our pets matter, that people were willing to risk their lives like that.
I?m a little surprised that Martha ever made her original comment, considering she?s lost two dogs recently. It would have been nice if she?d said she was sorry for her insensitive comment ? her ?sorry? was that Jessica lost Daisy ? but at least it?s something.

The news made me wonder if Lindsay, in her own mind, might think that if she?s functioning enough to take a gig, that maybe she?s still keeping it together. I have news for Lindsay - she?s not.
In Touch Weekly has an article this week about how everyone in Lindsay?s life thinks she?s a loser, especially the drama-muse herself, Sam Ronson. It starts with a story about how Samantha Ronson specifically had to ensure that Lindsay did not show up at Charlotte Ronson?s (Sam?s sister) fashion show in New York. The Ronson family thinks Sam?s relationship with LiLo is ?volatile? and they took ?extreme measures? to make sure Lindsay wouldn?t make a scene:
?Lindsay has ruined too many family events and we couldn?t let Charlotte?s night be about Lindsay,? a friend tells In Touch. ?Sam?s whole family hates her.?
Lindsay wasn?t at the after-party either. Instead, Sam kept busy chatting with Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst, who, according to the friend, ?doesn?t like Lindsay.?
One sympathetic pal of Lindsay?s think she?s at the breaking point: ?It?s sad that the Ronsons used Lindsay when she was at the height of her fame and now they talk badly of her.?
While Sam partied without her, Lindsay ?was trying to get her friends to go out, but they were sleeping and didn?t want to go? So she flipped out.?
Though Lindsay has denied them, there have been reports that she had a meltdown at the Bowery Hotel the same night as Charlotte Ronson?s show. Lindsay believed Sam was staying there. ?She arrived in the early morning? she looked drunk and was covered in bruises.?
Once inside the hotel, the witness claims, Lindsay unleashed her fury.
?She threw a room service tray at what she thought was Sam?s door,? says the witness. When it turned out to be the room of another guest, Lindsay was unrepentant - and continued her tirade.
?She was screaming at the guest in the hallway. She said that someone had beaten her up.? The witness claims that eventually, police escorted her out of the building.
?Poor Lindsay has no one to take care of her,? says one former pal.

Jaybird reported the story about Lindsay getting a police escort out of the Bowery last week. It?s still pretty f-cking deranged this week. But it’s interesting backstory to hear that Lindsay?s freakout might have been the result of not being invited to bring her cracked-out diva act to Sam?s sister?s fashion show. I wonder whether or not Sam is even putting out the effort to enable Lindsay at this point. Lindsay is caught in her own neverending cycle of drama, I don?t think Sam really has to do or say anything. Whatever happens, Lindsay is going to freak out and act like the crazed bitch that she is.

But Vince wants us to know - in time for his new film Couples Retreat - that he?s finally ready, at the age of 39, to settle down. Yes, it seems Vince is experiencing ?the first time? he ever felt like being a dad. But is he ready to actually settle down with one woman, and not the neverending stream of bar-girls and college students?
Vince Vaughn swings no more.
Now engaged to Canadian real estate agent Kyla Weber, Vaughn, 39, says he wants to start a family and settle down.
The funny guy even says he’s ready for diaper duty. “It’s the first time that I really want to have kids,” he told PEOPLE while promoting his new comedy Couples Retreat.
“I’ve been very fortunate in my career, and my life has been about that for so long that you get bored of it. You’re ready for your life to be about other people and other things,” Vaughn said.
While filming the movie ? costarring his longtime pal Jon Favreau and directed by another friend, Peter Billingsley ? Vaughn spent time in exotic Bora Bora with his soon-to-be wife and members of his family. “We had a lot of fun, which was good, and my sister was there and my nephew was there,” he says.
And his buddies have given their approval.
“I’m very happy for Vince. He’s marrying an amazing girl,” says Billingsley, the former child star of A Christmas Story. “It’s a natural cycle of life that we all go in.”
But Billingsley admits one thing is dramatically different from the days when Vaughn and Favreau ? who starred in the 1996 Swingers ? were making the Hollywood scene.
“The parties are a lot different than they used to be ? that’s for sure!” Billingsley says. “I still come with the point of view to have a great time, but it’s kids and strollers and babies and clowns.”

Maybe he has changed and I?m just giving the guy a hard time. Could be. It?s just that Vince incites a bit of rage in me. I used to love the big lug, many, many years ago. But now I look at him and I just think he?s pissed away his talent and he?s pissed away his good looks. Maybe he?s happy doing comedies - obviously, there?s a lot of money there. But he was once a really good actor, and now it feels like he only gets the ?buffoon? roles. As for his personal life, I think Vince, much like George Clooney, has started looking around the room at his friends, and he?s just realized he?s the last unmarried guy, the only guy without kids. My guess is that he wants to get married and be a dad because he thinks he?s at that age, but really he still wants to hang out in bars and be skeevy.
The other night, Vince appeared on Jay Leno?s show for a short interview to promote Couples Retreat. Jay made him do the segment ?Earn Your Plug?. Jay made Vince workout with 95-year-old Jack LaLanne. LaLanne made Vince do dips in a chair, which Vince did with little effort and good humor. After Vince finished, he gave LaLanne a big kiss, which was really sweet.

Tori Spelling is a homewrecker. Just thought I?d get that out there, because I have been accused of bias about some of my favorite homewrecking girls. Tori ?stole? Dean McDermott from his wife, son and newly adopted daughter back in 2006. Tori ?stole? him even though Dean is an adult man, not a tube of lipstick. It is all Tori?s fault. Meh. What I really think is that people fall in and out of love, that sh-t gets complicated, and that you should try to be as honest as possible.
CB and MSat have different views on this- they think both Tori and Dean are selfish asses, which is totally legit. I get why some people hate them. I?m just saying this - I watch their show sometimes, and I think they?re in love. I think it?s for real. Whether or not Dean has ulterior motives for being with Tori (money, fame and horses), I think he and Tori handled the ?homewrecking? the right way - namely, they met, fell in love, and immediately split from their respective spouses, instead of dragging it out for months and lying to everybody.
Dean?s ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace obviously has a different view about the situation. She?s written a new book detailing her side of the story, Divorce Sucks: What to do when irreconcilable differences, lawyer fees, and your ex’s Hollywood wife make you miserable. Gatecrasher has an excerpt from the book, in which Mary Jo details how the producers of Dean and Tori?s reality show wanted Mary Jo to make an ?appearance?.
Tori Spelling should thank her lucky stars ? her hubby’s ex passed up the chance to turn “Tori and Dean” into “Three’s Company.”
In her book “Divorce Sucks,” Dean McDermott’s ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, reveals that a producer approached her to appear on the reality show ? and cause as much controversy as she could.
The Canadian TV chef couldn’t be blamed for wanting to stir things up: Her then-husband had an affair with the “90210? actress, then divorced her and married Spelling in 2006.
In the tome ? due Oct. 19 from Adams Media ? the abandoned Eustace says she considered hitting the small screen to portray herself as a broken woman and gain public sympathy. She even toyed with how she would fit into the show: She could move in next door and make Dean’s life a living hell. Or, she could take the “organic” route, as producers suggested, and “casually” confront Tori ? for two to three hours.
Eustace did end up meeting with the reality show’s honchos, but decided that ? although appreciative of the chance to air her dirty laundry ? she’d leave that to Tori and Dean, thanks. Instead, she took on a different role: Protective mama. Eustace says that, at the very same meeting where she declined the TV offer, she threatened producers that if her son Jack ever appeared on the program again, there’d be trouble.
“I said, ‘If I ever again see my son with a black X across his face on the show without my permission, we’ll be having a whole different type of conversation,’” she writes. She got her wish: Jack has not appeared on the show since.
“I have managed to keep my son off the reality show and cast him in his very own and wonderfully private life,” says Eustace, who’s mostly glad she helped Jack avoid the pitfalls of child stardom. “I mean, seriously ? remember the ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ kids? Enough said.”

Mary Jo sounds very mature, although I still think she has an axe to grind if she?s writing a book discussing all of this crap. But the producers sound like idiots. I thought Tori and Dean were producers on the show too? Yeah, they are. At some point, the manufactured drama has to end, for the love of all that is holy. What would happen if Mary Jo actually made an ?appearance? on Tori and Dean?s show? Would the world end? Not really. They would probably sit down and talk about their bullsh-t like adults. Scandal!

I live in a large suburban area, with neighborhoods stretched out in-between farms, historical sites and random undeveloped land. I mention this because my neighborhood is quite nice in some respects - I have a great view of mountains, there?s lots of undeveloped land that abuts a historical property, so there?s lots of wildlife around. There?s a family of deer that come to visit and scare the hell out of my dog. There were also, as it turns out, quite a lot of groundhogs that were destroying all of my neighbors? veggie gardens. The groundhogs have been taken care of my dog, who has been on a two-year crusade to decimate the groundhog population. It?s some kind of blood feud.
In one respect, my neighborhood isn?t so great. My neighbors can be quite noisy at times. Just one door over, one neighbor keeps really strange hours, and puts out her yappy, hyperactive Chihuahua at random times, like after midnight, or five a.m. The Chihuahua thinks it?s his duty to wake everyone up to let us know he?s on patrol. There?s also some kind of motorcycle/car enthusiast two doors down, who likes to spend every weekend revving various loud engines over and over ad infinitum.
I mention this because if this report from the Enquirer has any truth, Shia Labeouf is an annoying neighbor, but he?s trying to make up for it. It seems that Shia might have a big, loud motorcycle he likes to late at night - and his neighbors are pissed:

Showing class, Shia went knocking on doors and apologized personally to neighbors, promising he?d never blip his throttle until he was clear of the ?hood.

Shia has been in New York for the past month, filming Wall Street 2. It was in New York, for the movie, that Shia was photographed on a motorcycle, and looking so snazzy in his leather jacket. So basically I?m just using this as an excuse to look at cute pictures of Shia. Sigh. He?s such a cutie. Love that he?s clean-shaven now. It makes him look younger, but I?d still hit it.

It seems like there might be more to the Avril Lagigne-Deryck Whibley divorce drama. Previously, we?ve heard random excuses for their split, stuff about Avril?s drinking and partying, Deryck wanting babies, Avril cheating, Deryck cheating, both of them being too young and immature, and how basically both of them are ridiculous, stupid, ignorant wastes of space (I made that one up as one of ?reasons? for their split, but it still works). Now we?re hearing a new ?reason? and it involves Brandon ?Greasy Bear? Davis.
Avril and Greasy Bear have a somewhat well-documented friendship. ?Friendship? being ?they hang out occasionally and get drunk, maybe do some drugs?. There were rumors last month that they may be romantically involved. And that?s where In Touch is taking us - they claim that Brandon is ?in love? with Avril, and asked her to divorce Deryck so they could be together. Sounds like someone?s getting punk?d, doesn?t it?
Avril Lavigne is telling friends that her three-year marriage to Deryck Whibley is ending because she tied the knot too young. But apparently it was really her close friendship with oil heir Brandon Davis that doomed the relationship.
Previously, In Touch reported that Deryck texted Brandon and told him to stay away from his wife after Avril and Brandon dined together, but her rep denied the incident. This time, according to an insider, it was Brandon who gave the ultimatum.
In early September, he told Avril to choose between him and her husband. ?Brandon really likes Avril, but he?s not keen on dating a married woman? Ever since they first met, they?ve had a connection. But Avril was married to Deryck, so Brandon kept it casual.?
Now that she and Deryck have separated, the insider reveal that Avril and Brandon are planning to go public with their romance.
?They have major chemistry. They could wind up getting married,? says the pal, adding that the pair have been meeting at his mother?s Bel Air estate to avoid being photographed together.
They also had a rendezvous on a yacht in St. Tropez this summer, and Avril celebrated Brandon?s 30th birthday with him at Koi in LA on September 2, giving him an expensive art book as a present.

Eh, I tend to think Avril deserves whatever she gets, she?s such a little pill. But I did feel a very, very small twinge of sympathy for her because Brandon Davis is one sketchy, gross, disgusting piece of trash. His bigotry, nastiness, creepiness, drunkenness, and general sketchiness is rather legendary. My guess is that if any part of this is true, Brandon is just doing this as a joke, to see if he could get her to dump Deryck. But here?s the part I don?t think is true - that Avril would move from Deryck to any kind of real relationship with Brandon, or anyone else. That girl wants to party. She wants to get drunk and sleep with whoever she wants. You know, the same stuff she did while she was married.

Brad Pitt showed up at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in New York early Thursday evening. Before he came out on stage for the panel discussion, they showed a really great short documentary with Brad, and interviews with people from New Orleans. It was a lovely profile of Make It Right and the devastation and regeneration of the Lower Ninth Ward. Brad and the interviewees, all NOLA residents, talked about the improvements being made in the past four years since Katrina. Then President Clinton came on to introduce the Make It Right panel. Clinton was at his wonkish best, reinforcing the theme that good environmentally-friendly projects are good for the economy. He talked a lot about all of the jobs being created in New Orleans because of the all of the projects CGI had helped finance and shepherd through.
When the panel finally came out, Brad ended up sitting next to Bubba. Brad didn?t shave, but he did look like he showered, so that?s a blessing. After Bubba?s introductory speech, Brad was given the floor (sort of, they were all seated). Brad started out by thanking Bubba for creating ?a forum where we can share our ideas? since the creation of CGI, $46 billion has been committed? to projects around the world. Brad asks for a round of applause for Bubba.
After the presidential ass-kissing, Brad describes his process in starting Make It Right, saying he got ?no love? when first fundraising in 2005, and how he came to Bubba for advice. Brad says that Bubba basically told him ?calm down, it?s a good idea, just stick with it.? Brad singles out Bill and Melinda Gates, and Steve Bing as big donors. Brad?s voice sounds shaky, nervous and emotional. He says Make It Right has exceeded his expectations. His goals for the homes were about affordability, aesthetics, sustainability, and resiliency. ?We can no longer tell ourselves that this technology cannot be implemented in a larger way.? Brad also makes a plea for funding to take the Make It Right model and expanding it globally - ?we want to take this out to a wider area? we are just scratching the surface.?
The next panelist was a woman who actually lives in one of the Make It Right NOLA homes - she actually lives in one of the first home, a ?prototype? home. She was funny as she talked about skipping to the computer to pay her $50 electricity bill. She kept saying, ?this is real, I?m not an actor? which made Bubba and Brad crack up, and Bubba actually touched Brad affectionately. Christ, Bubba probably tried to get Brad to go out with him to a strip club. This woman is so sweet as she talks about her ?beautiful home? with all of these gadgets.? She described the ?awesome? lighting system, the stove and the dual-mode toilet.
After that, Brad and his partners received a pretty award made of glass. It looked totally heavy. I had to look it up to see exactly what kind of award it was - Make It Right received a US Green Building Council award, the LEED plaque for the ?biggest green neighborhood in the world.? Make It Right has built 13 LEED Platinum certified, storm-resistant homes and are planning another 150 more in the Lower 9th Ward.
This was a really great appearance by Brad, and he managed to both have star power amongst the wonks, while still giving due credit to all of his partners and all of the groups Make It Right NOLA works with. This was actually the most intelligent, passionate and interesting speech and interview I?ve ever heard from Brad - so what does that mean? Has he just been playing dumb all along? Or does he only shine when he gets to talk about environmental architecture?

Earlier in the day, Brad gave a speech at the Fifth Annual Meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative at the Sheraton Hotel, updating everyone on the Make It Right Foundation’s rebuilding progress in New Orleans.
Pitt said, “I don’t know how we build any other way anywhere else. We can no longer tell ourselves that implementing this technology is too complex a problem because it’s just been proven on this little spot on the map.”

Stepping out for the day’s agenda, Jessica Alba was back for more of the Clinton Global Initiative festivities in New York City on Thursday (September 24).
Teaming up with U2 frontman Bono on the stage, Jess looked cute in a purple dress to go with her stylish blonde hairdo as she participated in the afternoon discussions.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, the Fifth Annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative gathers prominent individuals in politics, theater, business, science, academics and religion to discuss global issues such as climate change and peace in the Middle East.
The event, which was founded by former president Bill Clinton after he left office, is held the same week as the General Assembly at the United Nations while most world leaders are in New York City.

Taking care of her day’s duties, Halle Berry was spotted making her way around town in Los Angeles on Thursday (September 24).
Joined by a gentleman staffer, the “Swordfish” sweetie first dropped by a studio in West Hollywood before heading to her friend’s house in the Hollywood Hills.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Berry recently chatted with press about her boyfriend of four years, Gabriel Aubry, saying that she first laid eyes on the hunky model on a bus.
“He wasn’t riding on the bus, he was on the side of the bus, you know, he’s a model,” Halle said. “I saw the picture and I just thought, hmm. I just remember making a mental note of, ‘Wow, that’s a good-looking man,’ and then three days later, bam, there’s that good-looking man!”
While still not mentioning any plans of getting married, Berry tells of the long romance, “Four years. The longest relationship I’ve ever had, yes, yes the longest one. For me, that’s good!”
