FOX held their annual Upfront presentation in New York City yesterday and who should appear other than Minka Kelly? Turns out she actually does star in a new series on FOX calledAlmost Human premiering in October.
If you’re wondering why it sort of looks likeFringe mixed with a buddy cop show, it’s because the show is produced by J.J. Abrams and created byFringe’s J.H. Wyman. These guys must have really lovedMinority Report.
Hopefully Minka doesn’t turn out to be a robot in this show. I’d hate to have her malfunction when I get her wet. Giggity.

Letting her guard down during the interview, the 30-year-old country crooner looked darling in a floral dress for the front page shoot while opening up about her family's reaction to her stardom and her unusual personality traits.

For the people that don’t know who Arianny Celeste is, she broke onto the scene in 2006 when she debuted as a ring girl for UFC. When UFC became more mainstream, Arianny ended up being the most well-known ring girl in sports. Some may even call her iconic while others aren’t allowed to call her at all because of those pesky restraining orders. Aside from strutting along the side of the cage at a UFC event, you can see her in the pages of Maxim, FHM, Sports Illustrated and more.
Luckily, Arianny found time to answer a few questions. I realize the questions are a little schizophrenic, but in my defense, all the blood was rushing out of my head.
How did you first get into this UFC ring girl thing?
I was paying my way through college modeling on the side and got the call to audition to be a UFC octagon girl. From there it just took off and I’ve been enjoying the ride ever since!
Sure there was Rachelle Leah, but I sort of see you as the MMA ring girl pioneer. Have you ever felt like Lewis and Clark leading other ring girls to glory?
Yes, I do. I feel like I’ve turned a fun job into a career. I’m very business savvy . I have my mom to thank for that. She took care of me the first 3 years of my life all alone balancing a 9-5 and nursing school. She is my hero.
When Brittney Palmer came over from WEC and joined you, the UFC felt complete. Like when Voltron forms. Did you feel the same way?
Yes, it’s the perfect combo – brunette/blonde.
When you first started out, did you ever get nervous that you would trip and fall off theoctagon? Has that ever come close to happening?
I was so nervous that Dana White actually came octagon side and told me to slow down and relax. I’m a naturally shy person so I was completely out of my element.
If you were a MMA fighter, what would your nickname be?Arianny “The Kitten Smasher” Celeste sounds like it would instill a lot of fear in people.

Has blood ever splattered on you while sitting cage side?
It’s gotten close and I have gotten grossed out so many times!!

Forest Griffin vs Stephan Bonner. It was one of the bloodiest classic fights ever. The list goes on!

I was at a very liberating time in my life. I was becoming a woman and I felt completely comfortable in my own skin for the first time. I love my feature and think it?s very classy. Plus I got the blessing from my mom. :)
You obviously need to be in good shape for your job but do you ever get a chance to pig out? Like, do you ever just go to the buffet and try and stuff as many crab legs and prime rib into your mouth as you can?
I definitely pig out! I’m not a big dieter, but I believe in making healthy food choices and moderation. One of my favorite cheat meals is PIZZA!!

Little do people know, I also hold a degree in Nutrition and Fitness. I?ve been exploring the fitness side of the business more and more and have really been enjoying that.

During her recent interview on ?Good Morning America,? Reese discussed the aftermath of her embarrassing arrest in Georgia after Jim was pulled over for DUI, especially with regard to their kiddos.
Ms. Witherspoon explained, ?You have to say when you make a mistake, you have to take responsibility. And we are taking responsibility and doing everything in our power to make it right. You just have to be honest with them. That was definitely the hardest part.?

This is for all of the people who love (to hate) Elsa Pataky, otherwise known as Chris Hemsworth?s wife and mother of their daughter India Rose. Elsa has ? from what I can see ? a supporting part in Fast & Furious 6. That?s not what I would consider a major role or a major career-maker, but that role taken with the fact that she?s Mrs. Hemsworth means that Elsa is somehow important enough to cover multiple international issues of Women?s Health Mag. I?m including an English and a Spanish cover version ? both feature Elsa?s butt rather prominently. It helps that she?s got a really nice ass. Damn. Her body is pretty great, if truth be told. She looks athletic and healthy.
Elsa told Women?s Health: ?Exercise is like an addiction. Once you?re in it, you feel like your body needs it.? She says that to stay in shape, she does strength training twice a week, and then yoga or Pilates three or four times a week and then some boxing too. Incidentally, Elsa recently commented on the Miley Cyrus-Liam Hemsworth situation too ? despite wide reports that Elsa was and is anti-Miley, Elsa told E! News, ?We don’t want to get too much into their personal life; we just want them to be happy.?
The paparazzi also managed to find Elsa, India Rose and Elsa?s mom in Brentwood yesterday. I know, how absolutely shocking! I?m surprised Chris wasn?t talked into a pap session too, after all Fast & Furious 6 isn?t going to promote itself. India is such a cutie but I really worry that her mom has posed her so obviously on the sidewalk. Hm.

Looks like Jay-Z may have opened the floodgates to baby town as sources are telling Page Six he’s finagled another baby into Beyonce.
Bey wore a Givenchy gown with a high, belted waist that carefully camouflaged her midsection, but pictures have emerged on blogs of what looks like a baby bump from recent tour dates. Last week Beyonc, who gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012, gave an interview to ABC?s ?GMA,? where she said, ?I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister.? But she came short of saying when that would occur: ?At some point, when it?s supposed to happen,? she told ABC?s Amy Robach.

Carrie Underwood covers the June issue of Marie Claire, and good God I think Marie Claire?s editors kind of hate her. While I usually don?t think much of Carrie?s red-carpet styling (her default is ?pageant girl?), I do think Carrie is a beautiful woman with gorgeous skin and big blonde hair that she could do so much with. I guess Marie Claire was trying to tone down the pageant-qualities and do, like, a sophisticated bedhead look? But it just looks like a big blonde rat?s nest. It?s terrible. I guess it was always the plan to have Christina Aguilera back on The Voice after her hiatus this season, and it’s happening. The Wrap reports that Christina has inked a $12.5 million deal to return to the show as a coach, and that Cee Lo Green is returning as well for substantially less. In comparison, XTina earned a whopping $17 million for the same gig last year. So she’s taking a pay cut, but she’s still raking it in. The Wrap reminds us that Britney made $15 million for X Factor and Mariah’s salary on Idol was $18 million. So there’s some kind of benchmark for overpaid divas on reality judging shows.
Cee Lo Green is in advanced negotiations to return to Season 5 of “The Voice” alongside Christina Aguilera, according to an NBC executive with knowledge of the situation.
“We are not there yet, but working toward it,” said the executive.
As TheWrap reported earlier on Monday, Aguilera is already set to return next season as a coach on NBC’s hit singing competition.
Aguilera has signed her contract to return to the NBC talent competition, an individual with knowledge of the deal has told TheWrap. According to the insider, Aguilera’s return has been kept under wraps for a couple of months.
The pop diva will be paid $12.5 million for Season 5, said the executive with knowledge of the deal.
Another insider close to the negotiations said Aguilera made about $17 million when she was a coach on Season 3, which made her one of the highest paid women on reality TV. The insider said she could earn a figure as high as that again, depending on the number of hours she appeared. (Believe it or not, “Voice” coaches are paid by the hour.)
Green would not make anywhere near Aguilera’s salary. Negotiations are still underway for coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who are also expected to return, the insider said.
For comparison, Mariah Carey currently makes a reported $18 million on Fox’s “American Idol” and Britney Spears made a reported $15 million on “The X Factor.”
Aguilera announced that she was leaving “The Voice” last December to promote her “Lotus” album and tour. Cee Lo Green also announced his exit at the same time. Shakira and Usher replaced them on the current season.
At the time, executive producer Mark Burnett played down the departures, saying that he expected that his coaches would rotate in and out as they are working artists. He also said they were always welcome to return. Shakira is likely to return in a future season.

This must mean that Usher and Shakira are off The Voice for now. I haven’t been paying attention to the show this season but Shakira has been spouting a lot of crap recently about how hard it is to be a working mom and lose the baby weight. She sounds like Goop lately, and there’s a good reason for that. Shakira also trains with fraudster Tracy Anderson. Shakira just claimed that she looked like a “Shar Pei” after she gave birth. You know this is the exact same thing that Gwyneth Paltrow said about her post-partum figure. Does Tracy encourage these women to sound clueless or are they drawn to her because she justifies their narcissism? Unknown.
Getting back to XTina, I hope this means that she’s going to stay somewhat sober and coherent. She had issues during her last stint on The Voice but she seems to have cleaned up recently and I hope that sticks for her. Not that I’m too invested in her well being. Drunk diva XTina is fun. Plus she wears the best outfits.

On Sunday, we discussed the hilarious news (?hilarious? might be offensive to some of you but I think it?s completely appropriate) that the Betty Ford Clinic had taken away Lindsay Lohan?s Adderall. LL has been on Adderall for years ? she claims she has ADHD, although it?s pretty well documented that she just goes doctor-shopping for prescriptions and Adderall is just her base-line addiction, and she piles on gallons of vodka and endless lines of cocaine in addition to Adderall. Well, LL?s Betty Ford stay is looking to be a bit more hardcore this time around, and the Cracken is not pleased about these turn of events at all. The Cracken wants OUT! Because she doesn?t realize that a mandatory 90-day court-ordered rehab sentence is actually not about her particular brand of crack shenanigans.
Lindsay Lohan is determined to leave The Betty Ford Center for greener pastures … but TMZ has learned prosecutors are having none of it.
TMZ broke the story … Betty Ford doctors have cut Lindsay off from her Adderall, which she has always said was a deal breaker. Sources connected to Lindsay tell us she’s going “crazy” and is desperate to move to another facility.
We’re told Lindsay has researched other facilities and found one on the west coast which she believes is suitable to complete her 90 days. She wants to move ASAP.
Lindsay is saying she believes Betty Ford is “old school” and is not sensitive to the problems of young people.
But law enforcement sources tell us … prosecutors are “unbending” — they will NOT approve any move. As one source put it, “She had 45 days to find a suitable place. She didn’t listen to her people and just did what she wanted so it’s her problem now.” The source adds, “Not gonna happen.”

Haha. This is just the feel-good story of the week. I?m sure things will change in a few days ? Shawn Holley will get on it and suddenly Lindsay will be moved to some shenanigan-friendly Hawaiian rehab or something. But for now, just enjoy the fact that Lindsay is actually being punished to some degree. It?s amazing.
A few days ago, Radar had a story about Lindsay ?threatening to quit? Betty Ford too, and they said that if Lindsay tries to leave Betty Ford whatsoever, she will be ?hauled? in front of the judge and she?ll be going to jail. ?People perceive that I have too much. I understand that, but I also feel like I’ve suffered so much.? I don?t really understand her thought process here. She does have ?too much?. She worked for it (of sorts) and if she was just living her elite life with her five homes and $500,00 worth of clothes for each season, I think we would just accept it and roll our eyes, which is what we do when we hear of conspicuous consumption from other celebrities. It?s like she doesn?t understand that by making ?recommendations? and encouraging people to ?live like Goop? that she?s engaging us to accept her as the ideal we should have ? and that?s what many people have a problem with. As for her ?suffering? comment? I don?t understand? In Goop?s mind, she deserves to have all of this wonderful because she?s ?suffered??

She?s been laying low as of late, and it turns out Angelina Jolie has been recovering from a double mastectomy she underwent earlier this year.
The ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? star explained in a New York Times op-ed that there wasn?t anything medically pressing that led to the decision, but rather her genetic predisposition to developing breast cancer.
Jolie shared, "My mother fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was."
"I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy that I made. Miranda Kerr covers the June issue of Marie Claire Australia in what I?m assuming is a completely new photoshoot. Whenever Miranda covers an Aussie publication, I always assume she took the time to pose for something new, out of patriotic pride or whatever. Can we discuss this image? Because there?s a lot to say and there are literally no excerpts I can find from the interview.
First off, did they just Photoshop her head onto someone else body? No, right? But the Photoshoppers did go WAY overboard with the work on her chest, bust and neck. And I don?t really understand why ? if you?re putting a (former!) Victoria?s Secret model in what amounts to a dress made out of striped hosiery, why play the modesty game with her cleavage? Why make it seem like we?re seeing her neck through a soft Golden Girls-filter? Eh. As for the hint of Kerr Crotch that we can see in the dress? I guess Goop isn?t the only one trimming her bush to wear certain dresses. Yikes.
There?s a surprising dearth of Miranda stories right now, and I don?t know why. Surely someone is following up on that suspicious story about Miranda and Gerard Butler? You know what? If Gerry and Miranda got it on? I would be into it. I mean, I feel bad for Orlando and everything, but Gerard and Miranda would definitely be interesting.
If you look at Miranda?s Instagram, you can see that she was posting some photos of Flynn for Mother?s Day, and then on Monday she was showing off some shots from an upcoming shoot with V Magazine. In these photos, Jennifer and Justin made a trip to ?the Interior Design Building to shop at O’Brien New York.? Then the photos of Justin solo are from later on in the day, I guess, and according to Fame/Flynet, ?Justin Theroux returning to his apartment in New York City?His fiance Jennifer Aniston rode along with him but dropped him off a block away from his apt.? LOL. Was Jennifer like, ?Dude, get out of the car and walk the rest of the way?? Because if that had happened with Brad and Angelina, it would be getting the full tabloid treatment. ?Brad abandons Angelina in traffic, Brad runs home with tears streaming down his face after The Villainess Jolie yells at him!?
Can we talk about how Jennifer?s once-casual-cute beach style is turning very old-lady-ish lately? It?s too much ? too many layers, too much unnecessary bulk. I guess it?s on the cool-ish side in Manhattan this week (low 60s), but why the super-casual sandals WITH the bulky sweater?
As for why JustJen is currently in New York, I have no idea. I don?t think they?re working, although I guess Jennifer might have some stuff to do with Living Proof. I think they?re really just hanging out, going out to eat, going shopping, spending time with friends and going to see some shows. People Magazine has an exhaustive story about their weekend activities here ? they browsed swimsuits at Barney?s, Jennifer went to Bette Midler?s show I?ll Eat You Last, etc. Oh, and People?s sources note that Jennifer was boozing it up with martinis, so seriously, she?s NOT PREGNANT.
PS? somebody got some shiny new boots! I?m glad. I was so tired of those scruffy things he wore with everything. I bet Jennifer was tired of it too.

Denise Richards has been caring for her ex husband, Charlie Sheen’s twin four year-old sons, Max and Bob, while their mother, Brooke Mueller, is in rehab for a reported crystal meth addiction. Brooke was put on a 5150 psychiatric hold a little over a week ago. She went missing for a couple of days afterwards and then went off to rehab. This is Brooke’s 20th stint in rehab, and she made the genius decision to go to the Betty Ford Center because she wanted to hang out with Lindsay Lohan.
Denise is a single mom with five kids at home under 10, but she’s not doing it for the money. She already makes a whopping $55,000 a month from Charlie in child support for their two daughters together, Sam, 9, and Lola, 7. (Denise also has an adopted daughter who is two.) Charlie reportedly offered her more money for caring for the twins and Denise turned him down! She did accept an offer to use his private plane to fly from New York to LA so she could see the kids on Mother’s Day. The kids were spotted out with Denise’s dad, who was presumably caring for them (along with a nanny) while Denise was away.
Meanwhile Brooke is squandering the $55,000 a month she makes from Charlie, she has no money saved at all and she’s afraid that her child support will get cut off now that Denise has temporary custody. She tried to strip guardianship from Denise and give it to her brother so that she can still draw checks from Charlie. Methhead logic. Thankfully this plan failed and the judge upheld the ruling that Denise has temporary guardianship.
Charlie isn’t about to cut Brooke off, and he probably didn’t think that her drug use was a problem until it got so bad she had to be put on a psychiatric hold. TMZ came out yesterday with more details about Brooke’s involuntary hospitalization. They claim that cops were called after she assaulted a man at her house and that she was ranting and raving about Charlie’s connections to the mafia, claiming she would bring him down. Their sources state that she was hopped up on Adderall, but I tend to believe Radar’s reports that she’s a meth addict. Charlie should call Brooke’s bluff and stop the money flowing, but I doubt that will keep her from using.
Oh and Radar reports that Brooke went to rehab twice for crystal meth addiction while she was pregnant with the twins. We’ve heard rumors about that in the past and it’s not surprising.

Angelina Jolie wrote an op-ed, published in today?s New York Times, in which she discusses her medical decision to have a double-mastectomy. Angelina?s mother Marcheline battled cancer for a decade ? Marcheline was diagnosed when Angelina was in her early 20s. I think Marcheline?s cancer battle and death in 2007 was one of the most devastating things that has ever happened to Angelina, and it gave Angelina the sense that she would probably die young like her mother. She?s always said variations of ?The women in my family die young? and that?s why she always said she chose to have so many kids so fast ? she wanted to be able to enjoy motherhood while she could. Well, Angelina?s doctors told her that she has/had a very high risk of developing breast and/or ovarian cancer, so she underwent the double mastectomy over the past three months. Here?s her NYT op-ed:
MY MOTHER fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was.
We often speak of ?Mommy?s mommy,? and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me. I have always told them not to worry, but the truth is I carry a ?faulty? gene, BRCA1, which sharply increases my risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman. Only a fraction of breast cancers result from an inherited gene mutation. Those with a defect in BRCA1 have a 65 percent risk of getting it, on average.
Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy. I started with the breasts, as my risk of breast cancer is higher than my risk of ovarian cancer, and the surgery is more complex.
On April 27, I finished the three months of medical procedures that the mastectomies involved. During that time I have been able to keep this private and to carry on with my work.
But I am writing about it now because I hope that other women can benefit from my experience. Cancer is still a word that strikes fear into people?s hearts, producing a deep sense of powerlessness. But today it is possible to find out through a blood test whether you are highly susceptible to breast and ovarian cancer, and then take action.

Two weeks later I had the major surgery, where the breast tissue is removed and temporary fillers are put in place. The operation can take eight hours. You wake up with drain tubes and expanders in your breasts. It does feel like a scene out of a science-fiction film. But days after surgery you can be back to a normal life.
Nine weeks later, the final surgery is completed with the reconstruction of the breasts with an implant. There have been many advances in this procedure in the last few years, and the results can be beautiful.
I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy that I made. My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don?t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.
It is reassuring that they see nothing that makes them uncomfortable. They can see my small scars and that?s it. Everything else is just Mommy, the same as she always was. And they know that I love them and will do anything to be with them as long as I can. On a personal note, I do not feel any less of a woman. I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.
I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive. So to anyone who has a wife or girlfriend going through this, know that you are a very important part of the transition. Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has.
For any woman reading this, I hope it helps you to know you have options. I want to encourage every woman, especially if you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, to seek out the information and medical experts who can help you through this aspect of your life, and to make your own informed choices.
I acknowledge that there are many wonderful holistic doctors working on alternatives to surgery. My own regimen will be posted in due course on the Web site of the Pink Lotus Breast Center. I hope that this will be helpful to other women.
Breast cancer alone kills some 458,000 people each year, according to the World Health Organization, mainly in low- and middle-income countries. It has got to be a priority to ensure that more women can access gene testing and lifesaving preventive treatment, whatever their means and background, wherever they live. The cost of testing for BRCA1 and BRCA2, at more than $3,000 in the United States, remains an obstacle for many women.
I choose not to keep my story private because there are many women who do not know that they might be living under the shadow of cancer. It is my hope that they, too, will be able to get gene tested, and that if they have a high risk they, too, will know that they have strong options.
Life comes with many challenges. The ones that should not scare us are the ones we can take on and take control of.

Damn, she made me get all teary first thing in the morning. Man. I think this is beautifully written and beautifully thought-out. Angelina has always feared that she would not be around to see her children grow up, and I think this will give her peace of mind for a while. She makes it sound like she?s going to undergo some preventative measures for her ovarian cancer risk as well ? what would that involve? A partial or total hysterectomy? I think it?s lovely that Brad was there to support her every step of the way, and I like how she explained the surgeries (because I didn?t realize that it was such a multi-stage process). Zoe Saldana covers the June issue of Allure Magazine, and I have no idea if this is the ?naked? issue or whatever, but Zoe completely dropped trou for the photoshoot. She also dramatically changed up her hair, and I really like the long, bouncy curls on her. She rarely wears her hair curly on red carpets, and she should start because it makes her look younger and less? drawn. As for the Allure interview? well, I don?t care for Zoe?s personality that much. She reminds me of Rooney Mara with a dash of Goop ? there?s a smugness there, an unearned pretentiousness. Saldana has found a balance of ambition and self-acceptance. “Now, in the last few years of my life, I’m actually claiming what I want and not being afraid that I’m jinxing it, that it might not happen, that I might be disappointed if it doesn’t happen,” she says. “It’s OK to say, ‘This is what I want’?and go after it. And if it doesn’t happen, it’s OK. Be a reasonable person with yourself.”

Is she comparing herself to Elizabeth Taylor?! No, I don?t think she is, I think she?s just saying if Elizabeth Taylor can play an Egyptian queen, Zoe can play Nina Simone?? As for her ?got the t-shirt? comment ? yeah, I doubt there?s much love lost between her and Bradley Cooper. I never really understood their relationship in the first place, and Zoe ended up a lot like Renee Zellweger in that Zoe spent most of the relationship with Bradley?s mother anyway.
