Gerard Butler wants his female fans to talk dirty to him. Thank the lord. Gerry?s in Philadelphia filming Law Abiding Citizen with Jamie Foxx. This weekend, Philadelphia?s Mayor Nutter presented Butler, Foxx and director F. Gary Gray with the Liberty Bell statue, and Butler made his dirty comments then.
According to Cinematical, in the film ?Butler will play a successful assistant D.A., who finds himself in the middle of a vigilante plot hatched by Foxx, who has been screwed over by the legal system and discovers that one of the men responsible for killing his wife and daughter is about to be set free. All who participated in the deal and the killings are fair game for his revenge.?
Gerard Butler says that most women that he’s met in town have been nothing but polite to his face, but he does enjoy hearing their more-risque remarks second-hand.
The “300? and “PS, I Love You” star drove women wild at City Hall Friday when Mayor Nutter presented a Liberty Bell statue to Butler, his “Law Abiding Citizen” co-star Jamie Foxx and the film’s director, F. Gary Gray.
“Everyone’s very polite. Usually something dirty or sexy or provocative comes through someone else, but I wish they would say it to me, you know. Bring it on,” Butler dares his female Philly fans.

The dirty things I would say to Gerry Butler… things that can?t even be written here. But first up, I would ask him about those Paris Hilton rumors. Then, if I liked his answer, I would talk dirty. This Law Abiding Citizen movie sounds pretty good too! When I first heard about it, I thought it was a period film about Prohibition or something, but as it turns out, it?s a modern tale. Great news, because Gerry Butler should stick to drama rather than those horrible romantic comedies he?s been making. I?m crossing my fingers that from here on out, Butler only appears in films with lots of nudity. And dirty talk.

Paula Abdul is easily one of my five favorite crazy celebs. Maybe she?s still heavily medicated for her chronic pain issues ? but she?s still saying some delusional things. Paula claims that her cheesy late 80s/early 90s pop career was so influential that she?s truly inspired Rihanna and Beyonce. Sadly, neither of them have sung with M.C. Skat Cat.
American Idol judge Paula Abdul is taking the credit for inspiring modern pop stars including Rihanna and Beyonce.
The singer rose to fame in the 1980s, selling over 23 million records worldwide and topping the American charts six times before taking a musical hiatus in 2000. She subsequently re-launched her career as a judge on the hit TV talent show and returned to the pop charts in 2008. And Abdul is convinced her long running career and her forward thinking music videos have paved the way for the music stars of today.
She says, “My videos stand the test of time. They are like the almanac for every performer. Even Rhianna has come up to me and said ‘I hope you don’t mind.’ And Beyonce. You can see the influence of what I’ve done. It’s really fun to see that I’ve left a mark. It was my idea to create an animated character. It takes a lot of focus, a lot time, and a lot of money.”

Boy, there are some nice little exaggerations in that article. Most notably that Paula had a music career until 2000. Maybe she kept putting out CDs, but that doesn?t mean anyone was listening to them. I don?t remember her getting any airplay after 1994. Though I will sadly admit that I still have ?Rush, Rush? on my iPod. For shame.
Paula honey, you were not the first person to interact with an animated character. Maybe you came up with the idea for M.C. Skat Cat (though I find that claim a little dubious at best), and it was cool at the time, I?ll give you that. But I really don?t see a whole lot of Skat Cat?s influence in Rihanna?s videos, unless I?m missing something. You were an okay pop star, but I wouldn?t say innovative. But keep up with the self-congratulatory statements. They?re almost as entertaining as watching a cartoon cat dance.

The Nederlander Organization aquired the rigths to the musical based on Michael Jackson's Thriller that will include music from that album and Off The Wall!
Michael Jackson, through his spokesperson, Dr. Tohme Tohme, "The Nederlanders and Michael Jackson represent live theater and musical excellence, so let the music begin."
"I love the idea of making Thriller a musical. Girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy has big secret, now what…" says Nederlander.
Hopefully the musical will be done right because say what you want about him, his music from that era deserves respect! I know if it is done right I would go see it on Broadway, will you too?

Bijou is a Scientologist, which means she doesn’t believe in psychiatrists or psychiatric medication. In fact they don’t just “not believe” in it, they’ve waged an all-out war on the evils of psychiatry. Unfortunately for her, it sounds like Bijou could use a little of it herself.
Scientologist model Bijou Phillips went off on a tangent about the dangers of psychiatrists medicating depression during a recent interview with Paper Magazine.
“My grandparents didn’t take any pills, and they were fine,” Phillips said in the February issue of Paper. “Just buck up and get over it. Stop being such a f—king pansy.”
The budding actress frequents Scientology-sponsored events and spoke out against psychiatry and prescribing patients with medication for such mental illnesses as depression or anxiety.
Phillips, 28, lived alone in New York City after legally emancipating herself from her parents — her father, John Phillips, was in the Mamas and the Papas — when she was 14 years old. After several years on her own, she went to rehab.

Bijou was going off in the Paper magazine article, which was an interview with her and equally Scientologist-y (a word I just made up) longterm boyfriend Danny Masterson. Phillips is not necessarily a model of mental health herself. Filmmaker James Toback had a few interesting things to say about the model/actress, who sounds like she?s all kinds of crazy. Luckily for him, Toback seems to have enjoyed her loose mental health. He called her a ?genuine psychopath,? and said she didn?t understand the line between thinking and saying things.
Bijou Phillips — you never knew what the fuck she would say or do next. There is no line between her unconscious and her articulation of it and her behavior. She is a genuine psychopath. I say that with affection and admiration, because she’s also incredibly smart and talented, so she knows how to amuse and how to get and hold attention. If she were just a psychopath, you wouldn’t want to use her; you’d just be bored. But she is always kind of amusing and interesting, and if one thing isn’t working she has a good sense of it, and she just starts on something else.

I really get annoyed with anyone who tells someone else how they should deal with their emotions. Especially in Phillips? case, when she?s essentially saying that she has a better way of dealing with things than everyone else. It shows how limited her understanding of complex emotions really is. Perhaps she was able to just get over things, but maybe that means things just don?t affect her as deeply as they do others. Perhaps the answer is empathy instead of cold judgment.

Promoter, Kyodo Yokohama, blamed the recession for the cancellation of the Japanese leg of Janet Jackson’s Rock Witchu tour. The concerts will be rescheduled later in the year for the market to pick back up. Earlier, Janet had to cancel a few dates in the US due to “vertigo”.
Of course, the other, much bigger, reason is that concerts are decidedly less fun when the words from your favorite songs are replaced by loud wheezing and requests for more cupcakes.

One of the things I?ve noticed about Brangelina news is that they could have just made some throw-away comment on a random red carpet, and nearly every celebrity news site covers it like it?s gold. So it goes with these two little nuggets of Brangelina gossip, condensed for your reading pleasure. OK! has quotes from Angelina about their film-promoting duties in Japan, and People has information about Angelina?s SAG card.
[Brangelina] ? and their six children ? are jetting off to Japan Monday morning, only hours after Brad and Angie put in appearances at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night.
“Our kids are always packing,” Angelina told Entertainment Tonight about globetrotting with six young children. “They like to pack; it’s a game in our house.”
However, all that back and forth across time zones can wreak havoc with a family’s daily routine. “It can get very hard trying to find 20 minutes to close your eyes if you’ve been up since four in the morning,” revealed Angie. But rather than trying to use sleep to make up for all the time differences they experience, she says, “We travel so much, we never have to adjust. We change school time to four in the afternoon in we have to!”

Oh, Angelina. I wish I was her publicist, I would make her stop saying this stuff that freaks people out. She should have started her sentence with ?lately?, as in ?Lately, our kids are always packing…? because they have been moving around a lot lately. I bet those kids are looking forward to a long film shoot with Salt, though. Angelina also talked to People magazine last night about her mom and her SAG card.
Angelina Jolie likes to please her fans, but respect from her peers is just as important, she says.
“It means a great deal,” the actress told PEOPLE Sunday night of the SAG Awards, “especially because it is the people you respect and your fellow actors. You know they really understand your work when they watch it. They don’t look at it just as a movie. They understand the technique behind performance.”
Jolie was nominated for her leading role performance in Changeling, but Meryl Streep took home the Actor for Doubt.
The actress has an almost wistful devotion to her Screen Actors Guild card, she adds, because of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who passes away two years ago from ovarian cancer.
“My mother was an actress and didn’t get to have a big career, but she was so proud to be a member of SAG and so proud of her card and her union.”
As a young actress starting out, she recalls, “I was so happy when I finally got my card!”

That?s actually one of my favorite parts of the SAG awards, getting to hear actors talking about the start of their careers and how they got their union cards. Most of red carpet interviewers asked that question, and it?s fun to watch respected actors pretend they can?t remember that they got their cards on a Doritos commercial, or doing some guest spot appearance on some basic-cable soft-porn show. I believe Angie?s first movie was Cyborg 2, in case anyone?s interested. So she probably got her card by playing a robot. Classic.

If I were a producer for the Oscars, I’d make Aniston talk about the fact that Brad and Angelina’s movies made less than one about a dog and then have the camera pan to Angelina just in time to catch that huge throbbing vein on her forehead. Then I’ll roll out a tub of pudding and make them wrestle in it. But I’ll have Jennifer wear a bag over her head because I don’t like watching ugly people do sexy things.

Jessica Simpson performed at a Chili Cook Off in Pembroke Pines, Florida on Sunday. The 28 year-old country singer has put on some weight, and she’s making a non issue much worse with her terrible outfit. She donned a pair of very unflattering high-waisted jeans, similar to the infamous diaper jeans she wore in 2007, along with a bizarre stacked leopard print belt and a black tank top. Expect to see some of these photos of Simpson on the covers of the tabloids next week, although she’ll probably just be one of the stories off to the side column as her profile isn’t as high as it once was.
Many of us face the same issues as Jessica Simpson, we just don’t do it in the public eye. She’s not my favorite person and I still think she’s an idiot, but it’s not hard to anticipate the way that she’ll get torn apart in the press for gaining weight. Maybe if she picked a better outfit it wouldn’t be as obvious.
The National Enquirer reports this week that Jessica’s boyfriend, Tony Romo, is waiting to propose because he’s not happy with the way that she’s going out partying in LA and drinking too much. That could definitely be taking a toll on her figure, too. I doubt she’s pregnant as has been rumored, especially if she’s drinking to excess like that.

As reports go, this one is pretty juicy. Jennifer Aniston might be a presenter at the Oscars, showing up on the night when her ex-husband Brad Pitt is nominated for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and her ?uncool? arch-nemesis Angelina Jolie is nominated for Changeling. Star magazine?s report is filled with assumptions, but I still think the basic premise - that Aniston has been invited to be an Oscar presenter - might have merit.
Aniston had a big hit with Marley & Me, and she?ll be out promoting ensemble-comedy He?s Just Not That Into You beginning in mid-February. Typically, Oscar presenters are rewarded because they?ve had a big year, or a particularly good movie, or have a movie just about to come out. One could make the argument that the dog is the biggest star of Marley & Me, and perhaps the Oscar producers should invite one of the stunt dogs on too. But that might open the door for Beverly Hills Chihuahua instead:

According to sources, Jen has been asked to present at the Oscars, which is Brad and Angie’s big night as they’re both nominees (for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Changeling). Not only was Jen in the hugely grossing Marley & Me, but she also has to promote her next film, the star-studded He?s Just Not That Into You.
“She was a good girl and pulled back during the Golden Globes even though she had the hottest movie out,” says a friend. Now with HJNTIY coming out Feb. 6, which is expected to be a huge hit, she’ll be even more red hot on Oscar night, Feb. 22.
“The movie will likely still be near the top of the box office,” says the friend. “Jen will own the night. Brad and Angie might be nominated, but Los Angeles is Jen’s town.”
And if that weren’t enough to steal the spotlight from Brangie, Jen also plans to bring an extra-special publicity-grabbing accessory: her boyfriend John Mayer. In fact, it was he who encouraged her to accept the offer to present, according to an insider close to John.
“You’ve got to go,” John told Jen. “Why do you hide in this town? You have every reason to be there. By presenting at the Oscars, you’ll tell the world: ‘I don?t care about Brad and Angie. I belong here, too.’ Jen is taking back ownership of her life. She’s gotta move on from this Brad and Angie thing. This is the perfect time, and I’ll be there to protect her.”
John also hinted to his friend, “Trust me, even if Brad and Angie both win Oscars, that won’t be the story of the night.”
So then what will be? Maybe Jen will debut her engagement ring. As Star has reported John plans to propose on Feb. 11 — Jen’s 40th birthday. When John?s friend asked if his girl will be wearing the ring, John laughed and replied, “There will be a big story coming out of the Oscars that night — and it won’t be about the winners.”

Ugh, that Star article is an insult to all involved. First, by making such a big deal about Aniston maybe being an Oscar presenter to show up Brangelina, that are basically saying that Aniston still makes major decisions based on her four-year old divorce. Which may be true, but in which case a supposed insult to Brangelina has backfired. And I?m still not buying that Aniston and John Mayer are engaged or are about to get engaged - I think he?s ?just not into? settling down, period.
I?m also not buying that Aniston would bring John Mayer as her date, if she is presenting. Truly, that boy doesn?t photograph well, and the comparative optics would backfire on Aniston too. Aniston and John Mayer versus Brangelina and their lead role Oscar nominations? Despite what I think of Aniston, she is very conscious of and astute about her image, and showing up with Mayer wouldn’t be the best move.

In a renewed effort to get some attention for their cause, it looks like anti-fur activists are resorting to vandalism to get their point across. The Hollywood Walk of Fame has recently had two stars defaced, including the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen star and the Sharon Stone star.
We all know that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are fond of a mink or two.
But there’s a price to pay in Hollywood if you’re a fur-loving celeb.
And it ain’t pretty folks…
The twins have been targeted by anti-fur campaigners in a major way, with their star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame being vandalised.
…The girls’ star has been defaced with the scathing words “Fur Hags”.
And it seems that MK and Ash aren’t the only ones copping some flack.
Sharon Stone’s star was also attacked with the words “Old Fur Hag”.
We wonder if Sharon was more offended by the word hag or the word old?

Wow, how old are these anti-fur crusaders — eight? Maybe next they will release a “slam book” to the public, where they write all kind of mean things about celebrities who wear fur. Because they are at about that same maturity level right now. Are they really expecting to win over any converts with this behavior?
I think it may be time for PETA and the rest of the crew to hire a new PR firm, because their recent antics make them look even worse than the people who are buying and wearing fur. I also read that the Hollywood Walk of Fame Committee has installed surveillance cameras recently to monitor any kind of vandalism of the stars - so watch out, boneheads!

It seems like a weird time to put a multi-million dollar property on the market, but that?s just what the Jolie-Pitts are doing. Brad Pitt admitted to Newsweek, and The Scoop?s Courtney Hazlett confirmed, that the spacious Malibu compound that Brad bought immediately after his separation from Jennifer Aniston in 2005 will be sold. Perhaps the market for those large properties isn?t as bad as the market for regular homes.
After Brad bought the home, he spent years renovating it to his liking, adding rooms and more family-friendly details. I?ve seen pictures of the Malibu compound at various times, and it seems like a weird place to call a family home. It?s precariously situated on the Malibu cliffs, not right on the beach. If I was a parent, I would have reoccurring nightmares about one of kids wandering off the cliff.
At Newsweek?s Oscar roundtable Brad Pitt mentioned that he and Angelina Jolie are putting their Malibu house up for sale. (Robert Downey Jr., citing his ?pretty good year,? seemed interested in buying it.)
The bigger story: The Jolie-Pitts might not just be decamping from Hollywood, but they might go abroad to get away from the publicity machine.
?The publicity machine is out of control. It’s everything we didn’t sign up for,? Pitt told Newsweek. ?There’s this whole other entity that you get sucked into. You have to go and sell your wares. It’s something I never made my peace with. Somehow you’re not supporting your film if you don’t get on a show and talk about your personal life. It has nothing to do with why I do this.?
A source close to the family says that the French estate where they lived after the twins were born is a front-runner as a place to put down more permanent roots.
?They love France, and the laws targeted at paparazzi make it difficult to photograph the kids,? says the source.
In the meantime, the family will soon be heading to the North Shore of Long Island where they?ve rented a waterfront estate to live in while Jolie films ?Edwin A. Salt.? With any luck, the two helipads on the property will make their comings and goings harder for the paparazzi to follow.

The French estate that they rent does seem very secure. Over the summer, there was that highly charged incident between paparazzi and security guards, right after Angelina gave birth. Other than that, nada. The Paparazzi get so bored covering the chateau, they resorted to taking pictures of the wild boar.
The Jolie-Pitts are, by all accounts, very close to the Long Island move. Allegedly, they are to rent the famous 11-bedroom Sassafras property. We’ll have to see if the paparazzi will be able to get to them there.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had tongues wagging as usual at the Golden Globes two weeks ago when they actively ignored E! correspondent Ryan Seacrest’s attempts to interview them. Seacrest had an awkward interview with the couple at the 2007 Globes in which he asked kind of pointless personal questions. On his radio show the next day, he was critical of Brad and Angelina’s responses and called Angelina “cold.” Angelina did seem a little out of it, but she was nice enough. Seacrest should have realized at least by that next day that her mother was very sick at the time. Angelina’s mom passed away from cancer just two weeks later.
At the SAG Awards on Sunday, E! avoided another Seacrest debacle by using celeb-friendly correspondents Giuliana Rancic and Debbie Matenopoulos instead. They were positive and upbeat with the attendees, peppering them with compliments and asking appropriate, informed questions about their hair, makeup, families and work. They basically did their job, which is more than you can say for Seacrest’s red carpet behavior at multiple awards ceremonies.
Brad and Angelina responded well in separate interviews with Rancic. They both deferred giving in depth answers to a specific personal question, though, which is particularly telling considering that they were being interviewed separately. It’s possible Brad overheard Angelina’s response first, it’s hard to tell because he’s off camera. He’s usually more reticent with the press anyway:

Asked if she likes having Pitt as her date at award shows, Jolie told E!’s Giuliana Rancic, “We’ve been doing it together for four years - it’s aways nice. I don’t think I’d want to be doing it alone. It’s nice to be doing it with your best friend … and have a laugh in the middle of the show.”
She declined to answer a question about how Pitt has changed her. “It seems like a really odd moment for all of that. I’m sorry,” she said. Later, she added that Pitt “is a wonderful man … the person I admire the most in the world. I think he is extraordinary.”
Jolie wore a Max Azria dress, Tiffany earrings and ring and Christian Louboutin shoes.
“I just like to be comfortable,” she said of getting ready. “I see what comfortable options are out there.”
Do the kids help her prep?
“They play, they get their nails done, they run around,” she said. “Most of the time, they’re a bit bored…. They don’t find it that interesting.”
Pitt did a separate interview. When told by Rancic that Jolie’s beauty never gets old, he said, “No, it never gets old - I am here to testify.”
The actor also called Jolie “amazing … a fantastic mother.”
Like Jolie, he declined to answer a question about how the actress has changed him.
“I don’t want to get into it,” he said. “We’re happy to be here.”

Rancic was more formal with Brad and Angelina and probed a little deeper with them than she did with other celebrities. She explained that “You’re kind of like America’s favorite couple, and one of the favorite couples in the world, and I think that’s why people like to know about you guys.”
Maybe people should put away the preconceived notions with Brad and Angelina and treat them like they do the other celebrities and mainly focus on their work and what they’re wearing. They’re obviously uncomfortable talking about personal stuff at that kind of chaotic event. It’s hard not to ask them about it when we think we know so much about them, though.
Hopefully E! learned their lesson with Seacrest and will keep him away from the Oscars too.

A man who works for the storage and production facility in Brooklyn used by Brooke Shields’ show Lipstick Jungle was caught stealing $30,000 of designer merchandise from the show and selling it on eBay. Police set up a Sting after a fashion designer’s employee saw one of her boss’ purses being sold online for a discounted price.
Arthur Moreira, 27, was arrested Friday after investigators posing as buyers found missing items at his apartment. The haul included 16 coats, bags and suits by Prada, Gucci, Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office said prosecutors investigated after an employee of Paris fashion designer Sylvia Toledano saw a crystal-encrusted clutch that had been loaned to the show for sale on the Internet.
Prosecutors said Moreira offered to sell the bag and a Burberry coat for less than retail value by explaining that “they fell off the back of a truck.”

Do you think this happens more often than we hear about? There are stories about celebrities hoarding loot every once in a while; though when stars do it, they’re a (practically) free walking advertisement for the fashion house. $30,000 worth of stuff is an awful lot to steal outright from the set of a TV show. How did he think he was going to get away with it while auctioning everything on eBay? A heads up to online shoppers: anyone who says their merchandise “fell off the back of a truck” is probably lying.

Paul McCartney may be ready to walk down the aisle a third time. This time, it’s to his current girlfriend, Nancy Shevell. Though they have only been dating for a year, Nancy and Paul have known each other for over 30 years, and his children adore her. Even Paul’s daughter Stella McCartney, who was highly vocal about her dislike of Heather Mills, approves. Nancy separated from her husband of over 20 years in 2007, and their divorce became final last month, leaving the couple free to get married. Sources close to the couple say that it might happen very soon.
Sir Paul and Linda were friends of Nancy and her ex Bruce on the dinner-party circuit in the exclusive US East Coast holiday retreat of The Hamptons, Long Island. The families developed a closer bond when Nancy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996, a year after Linda.
Maccas?s friends and family view Nancy as much closer in spirit to Linda than former model Heather, whose murky past caused Sir Paul huge embarrassment before to their 24million divorce.
The source added: ?Nancy has been through a lot ? not least overcoming breast cancer. She also comes from a similar wealthy East Coast background to Linda. They shared a similar outlook on life. The friend said: ?Paul is a big believer in the institution of marriage, and his friends are in absolutely no doubt he will propose to Nancy in time.
?Her divorce has been hanging over them ? with all the baggage from the past that it represents. So it feels like a great relief to have it all sorted.?
Nancy, whose family freight business is worth around 250million, legally separated from Bruce in November 2007 after 23 years.

I’m not convinced that Heather Mills’ recent comments on her desirability and the finalization of Paul McCartney’s girlfriend’s divorce are purely coincidental. Heather may never be likeable, but she does have a knack for getting noticed in the press at just the right moment. Just not for the right kinds of things.
If the reports are true, congratulations to the couple and hopefully the marriage will go more smoothly than Sir Paul’s last.
