I know True Blood was trash the last few seasons, but I watched that entire series twice I loved it so much. It?s devastating that the actor who played Lafayette, Nelsan Ellis, passed away in 2017 at just 39. He was so talented and I loved his character. I also liked Sookie and Bill, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, who are married in real life with two children, and of course Erik and Pam, Alex Skarsgard and Kristin Bauer. We know what Alex is doing and Kristin hasn?t hit it as big which is a shame, but she was on Once Upon a Time and is working steadily. I follow her on Instagram and she?s amazing. She?s an outspoken activist and she loves her pets.
That?s all to say that I would watch the hell out of a True Blood movie. Anna Paquin is in a new series where she plays a publicist fixer. It?s called Flack, it airs on Pop in the US, and I read a review on Pajiba that says it?s highly bingeable but that the dialogue is not natural. Supposedly they get the world of gossip and celebrity publicity right so I?m interested to watch it.
Anna was on Access Live promoting Flack when she was asked about whether a True Blood movie is happening. She said that it?s been 11 years (it hasn?t! It?s only been 4.5 years since the show ended) and that actors get old and can?t play ageless vampires so probably not.
Will there ever be a True Blood movie?
Probably not with the same cast. You know the thing with the vampires and theyre not supposed to age. Its been 11 years. I mean my husbands cute but hes not actually immortal.

Again, True Blood ended in mid 2014, not that long ago for fans or for the way these actors age. They still look awesome and there are still so many of us who would watch this. I really think it should happen and that Alan Ball should write it. Also, why the hell has Ball not written another original movie since American Beauty? That?s one of the best films of all time.
There may be another reason why we?re not getting a True Blood movie. A musical is in the works! This news came out last fall but I totally forgot about it. I get it, the show was campy and it lends itself to that, but I want to see all the actors together again on the big screen or even in an HBO or Netflix movie. I?ll take whatever I can get.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have twins Charlie and Poppy, a boy and a girl, who will turn six next month. The family keeps a low profile and while Anna and Stephen are somewhat active on social media they dont post photos of their children and arent attention-seeking. So when Anna shared a story recently about being yelled at by a TSA agent at the airport it seemed genuine and not like she was exaggerating at all. She wrote on Instagram that the signs at security were confusing and when she asked an agent where she should go the agent got rude and loudly told her to read the signs. Anna was traveling alone with the twins. She later clarified that she was traveling coach and that her luggage is not designer or even matching, not that it matters. Heres what she wrote in a follow-up post, I believe her original post was an Instagram story. In the story she wrote that she was crying uncontrollably after this.
The kids and I had just done our goodbyes with Steven for the next several months (I?m aware we play make believe for a living it?s not life and death but it?s sad being apart regardless.)
Arrive at airport got checked in (and no yahoo.com I do not own a ?full set of brand new Louis Vuitton luggage, the words best travel pillow or have a personal valet?)
I do however have one nylon backpack and one rolling carry on, some reusable water bottles to fill after clearing security and comedically miss matched checked in bags.
There were two signs pointing in different directions with what looked to me like the same info on them so I asked a TSA agent (who was not attending to anyone else at the time) which line I should be in and tried to show our boarding passes. To which she snapped/yelled ?lady you need to read the sign? so I tried to explain that the signs weren?t clear to me to which I got an even louder and angrier repeat of ?read the sign? ?help?. Honestly it was less the words used than the volume and tone that caught me off guard. I never raised my voice, I said please and excuse me.
I?m not saying this is the worst thing in the world and I?m sure as heck not asking for anything special. I just wanted to make sure I wasn?t going to cause a problem by being in the wrong place because I?m not familiar with that airport. And when you?re traveling with twins I feel like everyone already feels like you are in the way even if you aren?t and I?m used to it.?

Anna is referring to Yahoo?s initial coverage of this story, I think they were covering her Instagram story which I missed, where they opened with the caveat that ?even if you have a brand new set of LV luggage? commercial plan travel is a drag.? They werent saying that Anna definitely has LV luggage, but shes clarifying that she doesnt and that she travels coach. In her original post she wrote Makes ya feel super dignified walking through the airport with kids and gear unable to stop crying. Aw, I feel her.
I used to travel overseas all the time and have lost my sh-t in airports twice. Once I burst into tears and another time I climbed over a divide to look for my luggage. (No one was there, I?d been waiting twenty minutes for my luggage after traveling over a day and a half with a six hour delay for my last layover and it was a small airport!) Both were after I?d been traveling at least 24 hours and was told my luggage was lost when I got to my destination. Some of the toughest times Ive had have been at airports, which I?m sure shows what a sheltered life Ive lived. Plus I haven?t had to face consequences for flipping out. I?m a white lady and get a lot more chances and breaks than most people. Traveling while black or brown can be so much worse.
How hard would it have been for that worker to say If youre in coach, go to the left and if youre in business class its to the right? Do you think the agent would have barked at Anna like that if she was traveling with Stephen? I dont.
Oh and I checked Stephens Instagram and he had to be treated in the emergency room yesterday after he broke up a dog fight at the dog park! That post is below. Crazy.
This reminds me how much I miss True Blood. Ive seen the first two seasons twice and I think Ill start at season three and rewatch the rest. Anna is about to start working on the TV show Flack, on the Pop Network, which is out next year. Stephen is currently on The Gifted, on Fox.
Just to clarify. this is boring and long but apparently my insta posts took on a life of their own and needed some further explanation. So here goes. #travellingwithkids ps, we fly economy not first, business or whatever not that it matters, so I was also trying to make sure I didn?t wander into the ?priority? lane by accident.

The more Anna Paquin talks, the more I respect her. (Although unlike Bedhead I’m not a fan of her new multicolored hair.) She’s been open and honest for years about the fact that she’s bisexual, and about the fact that she’s happily married to a man. Anna was a guest on Huffpo live, where she was asked about her recent tweet declaring that she’s “proud to be a happily married bisexual mother.” She got a little nervous and stammered at first, but she recovered quickly and explained herself very well. On why she tweeted about it
It was Pride Month… It’s something I feel very strongly about and it’s as good as I can do within the Twitter [character limit].
On the stigma bisexual people face
There’s people that are going to go to their grave thinking what they think about the LGBT community. That’s their problem not mine. And there’s people that think that monogamy and bisexuality are mutually exclusive. Again, their problem not mine. The reason I feel like it’s important to talk about this stuff is that the more normal and, frankly, mundane and boring this stuff becomes the better it’s going to be for everybody who is part of our community.
On if negative reactions surprised her
There’s a lot of hateful people out in the world who have very strong opinions. You know when you stick your neck out on certain topics that some people are going to go ‘yay’ and some people are going to say some of the most vile things… nothing surprised me.

That was very well said and I agree with her. It’s ridiculous to me that people think that bisexuality has anything to do with promiscuity, or that they assume that bisexual people cannot be monogamous. Those two things have nothing to do with one another. Sexual orientation falls on a spectrum, and people who are in the middle have been ostracized and misunderstood for too long. Anna is sticking her neck out as she mentioned and good for her.
Mild spoilers for last night’s True Blood follow
Let’s switch gears so we can talk about True Blood. We’re halfway through the final season and last night’s episode was somewhat of a departure from the scary, dangerous Bon Temps we’re used to. (Yes there was a bloodbath at the end, but it was a bunch of random people we’re not attached to.) The majority of the episode took place at a party at Sookie’s house, which also served as a memorial service for Alcide and Tara. The show skipped around much less than we’re used to, and had a different, more relaxed feel. We got to learn more about Bill’s backstory as an objector to the Civil War. Lafayette and James hooked up, leading a jilted Jessica and Jason to hook up. There were also some excellent one-liners as we’ve come to expect. (“I look like a Republi-cunt”). It turns out that the episode was penned by a new writer, Craig Chester, who hasn’t been credited with a True Blood episode until now. I really enjoyed this change of pace. E! Now that she?s all finished filming ?True Blood,? Anna Paquin is taking some liberties with her appearance that she previously was not afforded.
On Wednesday (July 16) the ?Piano? starlet took to her Twitter account to show off her newly-dyed purple hair.
Paquin uploaded a photo along with the caption, ?@Auracolorist just fulfilled my teen dream of being a mermaid. @_smoyer whatcha think??

Anna Paquin just finished taping a seven-season run on HBO’s True Blood, and she’s celebrating in grand style with a new hair color. Make that three new hair colors. Anna had to keep her hair blonde for so long, and now she’s having some fun. Anna made her big reveal on her Twitter page with the following caption: “Just fulfilled my teen dream of being a mermaid” The main color is a very vibrant purple, and she has streaks of turquoise and green flowing throughout. It’s a deep-sea ombre, and it looks so cool, right?
Anna’s purple is so much bolder than that of recent stars who have gone lavender. Kelly Osbourne’s been a light purple for years. Ireland Baldwin and Nicole Richie briefly joined the club (Nic has recently switched to solid blue hair). I think Anna’s transformation is the boldest of them all. Her husband, Steven Moyer, is in favor of this change and tweeted his support.

They make quite the cute couple both on and off screen, and last night (July 15) Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer teamed up for a special ?Meet the Cast? event in New York City.
Both in good spirits, the ?Almost Famous? babe and her ?Priest? hubby fielded questions at the Apple Store in SoHo to plug the new season of ?True Blood.?
Viewers were shocked when Anna?s character Sookie?s love interest Alcide, played by Joe Manganiello, was killed off earlier this season.
Mr. Manganiello told press, ?I called it as soon as [Sookie and Alcide] got together [in the Season 6 finale]. As soon as I read that they were together, the first thing I thought was, ?They're going to kill him?... As soon as that happened, I went, ?Aw man, this is not going to last long.??

These are photos from the premiere for “True Blood” Season 7. It’s coming back on Sunday and I can’t wait! The last we saw of Bon Temps, Hep-V infected vamps were about to take over like zombie-vamp hybrids feeding on humans. This season is probably going to be cheesier than we’ve come to expect, but I don’t care. I’m hanging in until the bitter end as I really want to know what happens to these characters. (I read the books up until Dead Reckoning, the third to last, which was just too boring for me to finish. The TV series doesn’t strictly follow the book series, though.)
HBO aired a roundtable discussion with some of the “True Blood” actors on Sunday. It came on right before the premiere of the “Game of Thrones” finale, and I caught the tail end of it. Anna Paquin and the other actors were saying how hard it would be to say goodbye to the show and to their workplace. They seemed to genuinely love their work and their co-workers. I’ll have to check it out on demand soon. I particularly loved hearing Ryan Kwanten and Stephen Moyer speak in their original accents. Hot.
Here’s Anna Paquin in a Thakoon LBD with lots of gold accessories. I agree with Red Carpet Fashion Awards, the jewelry makes this look, which would be too plain without the stacked necklaces and the bangles. I like it, though, and think Anna pulls it off. I especially like how happy she looks with her husband, Stephen Moyer. They do the “Blue Steel” look too often and I like how playful they are here.
This is Kristin Bauer (Pam) and her husband, Abri van Straten, with his fabulous hair. I’ll be damned if I kind of like this dress. The print is busy, but as a flat print, it works. If all of that gold was embroidery it would be too busy. I don’t have a designer ID on this, but I’ll assume it’s Dolce & Gabbana.
Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica) was striking, if a bit cutesy, in a strapless a-line dress with a gold and silver diamond print. I love her hair and makeup, she’s just so damn pretty.
Anna Camp was in a Pink Azarro sheath dress with circular silver cutouts at the bust and sides. This look is a little too “sweet” for me, but that could just be due to the color.
Rutina Wesley wore a tuxedo jacket and forgot her shirt. Maybe this would look ok at the club late at night, but it’s very “look at me” on the red carpet. I hope she has some double sided tape under there.
Sam Trammell (Merlotte) looking dapper in a gray suit and print shirt. Unfortunately Alexander Skarsgard was not there, boo!

True Blood comes back for its seventh and final season on June 22. I wasn’t impressed with the way that season six ended, but you know that I’ll keep watching it until the bitter end. I can’t get enough of that campy show.
Star Anna Paquin came out as bisexual in 2010. She later clarified why she went public. “There is a lot of prejudice against us but the more people talk about it, the less of a deal it will be.” She was right. Since Anna came out, Evan Rachel Wood, Amber Heard and Maria Bello have all come out as bisexual.

Just yesterday I heard an interview on the Diane Rehm show on NPR with Piper Kerman, the woman who wrote Orange is The New Black based on her experience in women’s prison. (She’s portrayed by Taylor Schilling on the Netflix series.) Diane specifically asked Piper about her sexuality (she’s bisexual). Piper said that times have changed dramatically in the 20 years since she came out and said that “I think we’ve come so far that it’s amazing.” (You can hear her comments at 42:00 into the last video on this page.)
Piper is right. There used to be a huge stigma around bisexuality, as if it was a choice and as if people don’t fall on a spectrum of sexuality. Not everyone is on one side or the other and there have been great gains in public awareness. Celebrities like Anna have helped.
Getting back to True Blood, I have a very mild spoiler to share. Stop reading now if you’re spoiler averse. Alex Skarsgard (Eric Northman) recently told TV Guide that his vampire character has a sexy dream sequence with human Jason Stackhouse, played by Ryan Kwanten. Yes! It’s one of those homoerotic sex dreams that the humans have about vamps when they’ve ingested their blood. (Remember the shower scene between vampire Bill and Sam Merlotte?) Alex said that the scene “was written like an Argentinean telenovela, totally over the top. It was tough because Ryan is incredibly funny. I couldn?t stop laughing.” I hope we get to see that soon! Celebrating LGBT Pride Month, Anna Paquin took to Twitter to share her support for the gay community.
On Monday (June 8), the 31-year-old actress tweeted, ?Proud to be a happily married bisexual mother? adding in mentions to Equality California, the It Gets Better Project and the NOH8 Campaign.
After her first tweet, Anna shared, "Marriage is about love not gender."
The ?True Blood? star married her co-star Stephen Moyer in 2010 and the pair shares twins Charlie and Poppy, 2.
Anna revealed her bisexual status shortly before tying the knot in a statement for the Give a Damn campaign.
Over the weekend, she praised her hubby Stephen for his participation in the Soccer Aid charity match in Great Britain.
