Fueling up for a busy day, Amanda Seyfried stopped by the Health Food Bar for a morning fruit smoothie in Los Angeles on Tuesday (October 23).
The "Red Riding Hood" actress wore a red and white t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and black boots as she headed back to her car.
On Monday (October 22), the 26-year-old actress attended the 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala in Beverly Hills.
The event, traditionally known as the official launch of the awards season honored Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Robert De Niro, among others.

Taking a break from her busy schedule, Liv Tyler scored herself a feature in the November 2012 issue of Vs magazine.
The 35-year-old actress adorned herself in Givenchy garb while accessorizing with Ole Lynggaard jewelry for the hot Helena Christensen shot spread. During the shoot, she dished about topics including her childhood, family and career.

On portraying a character for a movie or photo shoot:
"When I?m making a movie or thinking of a woman I?m going to play it starts with a feeling and a connection; it just happens and it grows. It can be quite powerful sometimes, like I have two people living inside of me. For a photo shoot, it?s very immediate, spontaneous, heightened creativity. I gather a lot of inspiration from my surroundings and I really enjoyed the wild energy that exists at your house upstate."
On how her childhood defined the woman she is today:
"Well, I moved around a lot between Maine and New York, my family was sort of spread out. I was raised by my mom, my aunt Annie, my grandmother, [my stepfather] Todd and then, when I was 11, I found out Steven [Tyler, ed.] was my dad. I think the definition of what a ?normal? family is never was normal to me."
On her love for music:
"I sing morning, noon and night to myself, and a lot of the times out loud ? I can?t help it! I even think in song, everything relates in music to me. I have always dreamed of doing a musical like Sweet Charity, High Society or Cabaret. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era of movie making. I would have loved to have been owned by a studio and had one picture after the next filled with beautiful sets, incredible costumes, singing and dancing. I?m learning how to tap dance this summer out in my farmhouse in the country."

The owner of the shop told press, ?Sarah was so nice and so pleasant to be around- very humble and very down-to-earth. She told me she couldn't wait to come back and shop again.?

Stocking up to feed her growing baby bump, Malin Akerman went to Whole Foods in West Hollywood on Monday (October 22).
The "Rock of Ages" star looked ready for a workout in a black and Pink jacket, black leggings, and matching tennis shoes as she lugged her bags of groceries.
On Thursday, the mommy-to-be spoke to US Weekly about her pregnancy. After revealing that she is expecting with husband Roberto Zincone in April, she assured fans, "I feel great!"
Malin continued, "They say that your second trimester is when you get most of your energy and it's the 'easiest' part of the pregnancy. Now I kind of feel like my body has acclimated a little bit. The last three months, I think it must feel heavy. That's what I?m guessing."

Giving her loyal fans an extra special treat, Taylor Swift performed a mini-concert on ?Good Morning America? today(October 23).
The ?I Knew You Were Trouble? songstress looked fabulous in a black dress as she worked her musical magic for the packed Times Square crowd.
Among her selections were ?We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,? ?Red,? and ?Love Story,? and Taylor rocked a red guitar and sang into a red microphone in keeping with the motif.
Of her new album Red, Swift told press, "This album is interesting because each song stands on its own. It's this patchwork quilt of different sounds and different emotions, and I don't think anything on the record sounds like 'Never Ever,' and I'm really happy about that because each song is its own approach to what that particular emotion sounds like, and it's a really, really different record from anything else I've ever done before."

Here are some new photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at last night?s Angel Ball 2012 in New York City last night. Kanye took his girl to Italy for her 32nd birthday last week, and now they?re so ?official? as a couple that they?re posing together on a red carpet. Is this the first time that?s happened? I think it might be. Although they?ve posed together outside of events before, obviously, I think this is the first time where they?ve gone to an event together and walked the red carpet as a couple at the same time. Which is notable, I suppose. Kanye loves that ass. Truly!
Should we talk about Kim?s dress? It?s awful. I hate nearly everything about this total look. The one thing I guess I?ll give her is that the blue looks nice with her coloring, but even then? I?m not a huge fan of cobalt blue. I love shades of blue, and if you want to rock some navy or turquoise or cornflower or sky blue, go ahead. But cobalt can often look very ?cheap? I think. You have to know what you?re doing with cobalt. And I don?t think Kim knows what she?s doing. This dress has too much material and it adds weight on Kim. The sleeves are horrible. The plunging v-neck makes her bolt-ons look rigid, and the front slit is much too high. Add to all of that the horrible styling?ugh. That hairstyle is awful. I will say this, though: ?Ye looks good in his tux!
Back to Kanye and how he feels about Kim? there are lots of rumors about Kanye perhaps proposing to Kim on or around her 32nd birthday. Even Ryan Seacrest suggested that Kim was ?demanding? an engagement ring from Kanye, and that Kanye was going to propose for sure. While I don?t think Seacrest has any intuition when it comes to Kanye, Seacrest must be getting his tips from the Kardashians, and that means Team Kardashian is gearing up for another engagement.

Katie Holmes attended the Narciso Rodriguez for Kohl’s launch in New York City last night, and she looks fantastic. This little black, ruched dress fits her figure perfectly and highlights her lovely, post-Tom waistline. Katie and Suri are doing well in the big city, and Katie always does the daily school run to Suri’s new school, which is located very close to their Chelsea apartment. Still no sign of Tom after more than ten weeks of absence, but whatever.
As for this look, Katie not only looks good in the dress did very well in the makeup and hair department as well. Those long, loose curls lend her a very youthful appearance, which is also aided by that dewy complexion once again.
Here’s Katie posing with Narciso Rodriguez himself. Now there’s a man who owns his height with no lifts required! Katie should get on that.
Emma Roberts and Julianna Margulies were also at the event, and it looks like they drew the short end of the stick with these color-blocked dresses. To make matters somewhat worse, Julianne got stuck with a black and white “illusion” dress. Oh how I wish Stella McCartney had never started that trend.

These some random photos from the Hollywood Film Awards last night in Beverly Hills. I don’t know much about the Hollywood Film Awards, but I guess they’re like a precursor to awards season and honor films that are likely to be recognized, including some which haven’t even come out yet. Judd Apatow was honored for This is 40, which comes out at Christmas. He joked “No one has seen my movie. This is just based on an assumption that it?s good.” You can learn more about the honorees and the event here. We’re going to focus on the fashion and we’re going to just have this single post about it as there weren’t a lot of big (female) names there.
First off we have the lovely Amy Adams in a simple Oscar de la Renta navy cap sleeve gown with a sheer panel at the neckline. (Amy received the Hollywood Supporting Actress award for The Master.) This dress is perfection. Some of you may find it plain, and it is, but look at how well she wears it. You don’t have to be flashy to look elegant and gorgeous. I love her wavy hair and her makeup is perfection. Amy knows how to bring it to the red carpet, and she does so consistently and well. She’s wearing some crazy nude-colored platform heels, but you can’t really see them beneath this long gown. Also, Amy’s husband, actor Darren Le Gallo, was there with her. In some photos he looks uncomfortable but in others he’s smiling.
In contrast, Amanda Seyfried went for the obvious bombshell look in a a scarlet Prabal Gurung with corset white piping along the bodice. It’s a hot dress and Amanda wears it well, but there’s something cliche about the whole look – the red lips, open mouth, 40s hair, etc. I like that she went with gold pumps, that’s a bold choice.
Here’s Marion Cotillard in black and blue velvet Christian Dior. (Marion received the Hollywood Actress Award for Rust and Bone.) The dress is kind of understated and retro, I really like it. With some better styling it would have worked, but I’m getting stuck on the weird horn-like buns in her hair. It could be worse I guess, but that hair is really ruining the look for me. She also could use some jewelry like a necklace or earrings. Like Amy Adams, Marion opted for some metallic shoes. She’s wearing Dior silver pumps. They’re hot and I like them with this dress.
Kerry Washington worked a Monique Lhuilier strapless black and white splatter print dress. I love this gown and find it flattering yet striking. I usually dislike shoes with bows on them, but she makes those work.
Finally, here’s Helen Hunt looking like a dream in a little silver sheath dress paired with silver strappy heels. I would have liked to have seen different shoes with this dress, but overall this is pretty. I’ve been hearing a lot about Helen’s new film with John Hawkes, The Sessions, in which she plays a sex surrogate to a man who suffers from polio. It’s out in limited release now and is bound to get some nominations.

Back in August of 2008, Christina Applegate made the difficult decision to have a double mastectomy following a breast cancer diagnosis. She opted for a mastectomy because she didn’t want to worry about making sure the cancer was eradicated, because she had the breast cancer gene (her mother is a two time breast cancer survivor as well) and presumably because she wanted to have children and chemotherapy would have significantly reduced her chances. Following reconstructive surgery, Applegate did have a baby a little over a couple of years later, with her partner, Martin Lenoble. It’s a sweet story of triumph after cancer, although of course there’s more to it. In a new interview with More magazine, Applegate gave some additional details of what she was going through at the time, and it sounds just awful. She says she wasn’t ready to reveal her cancer diagnosis but that she had to, essentially. (A tabloid reported the story before she announced it and forced her hand.) Enjoying a mommy-daughter field trip, Jennifer Garner took Violet Affleck to the La Brea Tar Pits and followed it up with a snack in Los Angeles on Monday.
The "Butter" star looked preppy in a white button-down shirt, navy blue sweater, blue jeans, and brown loafers while her 6-year-old girl happily munched on some goodies in a pale blue dress and tennis shoes.
Like many Americans, the 40-year-old actress has been thinking a lot about politics lately. Though President Obama can be assured he has her vote, her support is not unconditional. She told Politico recently, "My feelings are complicated as well, but I look forward to seeing what he does in the next four years."
A strong supporter of helping children in poverty, she was disappointed in both candidates lack of attention to that issue. The mother-of-three lamented, "There was not one question about the state of children living in poverty in the United States? asked in the first presidential debate, she said. ??You would think that would be at the front of the conversation, not something that?s buried so deeply that it?s never even talked about.?

Upon first glancing these photos, I was almost mortified on Reese Witherspoon’s behalf because the images were captioned “Reese crushes a hot dog.” Then I realized how awesome these photos really are. As most people who read this site are aware, Reese only gave birth to her third child, the questionably named Tennessee James Toth, about a month ago. Oddly enough, Reese is not preening about in skinny jeans but is merely enjoying true picnic food in a casual setting. I know that, like every other Hollywood player, Reese has her own image in mind and probably has her own “game” too, but she just seems so damn normal and like a regular mom who is probably nursing and hoping to hit the gym at some point but hasn’t gotten there just yet.
While Reese looks really great here, it’s clear that she’s not on a mission to appear in some lame, post-baby bikini photoshoot in record time. Instead, she’s hanging with her family (specifically in this instance, her husband Jim Toth) and taking her time in losing weight, which will allow her more time to enjoy her newest child’s first days on planet Earth. Here, she’s shown at Brentwood School Carnival enjoying her lunch — a hot dog! The horror, the horror.
I’ve always admired Reese’s attitude to health and fitness. She’s a jogger, but she doesn’t overdo it, and she presumably enjoys eating on a regular basis. I’d love to characterize her figure as “real,” but that would probably earn me some tsk-ing from those few people who are lucky enough to be naturally thin. What I’m saying is this — Reese obviously accepts her body and indulges within moderation. She generally looks pretty fit, but she also accepts that getting back into shape after pregnancy is a slow process for most women, and she’s not willing to starve herself to get there faster. Damn, I’d love a hot dog too, but I haven’t purposely eaten meat for nearly 18 years; the last time I accidentally ate some hidden bacon in a dish, my body literally rejected it. So I envy Reese and this hot dog, and anyone who says she shouldn’t be “crushing” a hot dog can just suck it. Ahem.
Calista Flockhart was also in attendance at the carnival. She was, uhhhh, not eating a hot dog.

These are some photos of Britney Spears in LA on Friday. I didn?t even glance through these photos before right now, which happens sometimes, even when the celebrity in the pics is noteworthy. Even though I think we need to get used to the fact that Britney is NEVER again going to look like the young naf of the early aughts, I do think Britney has been looking increasingly better over the past year, maybe over the past two years. Maybe that?s why I didn?t pay much attention to these photos ? the Britney with the gross, matted weave is gone, replaced with a young woman who keeps it reasonably together. Sort of.
Anyway, these pics are notable because A) Britney is shopping at Gelson?s (most celebs choose the more pap-friendly Whole Foods) and because B) Britney has NEW BANGS! People Mag notes that the fringe/bangs are ?reminiscent of the early aughts (in fact, it reminded us of her ??Baby One More Time? days).? Now, it?s perfectly possible that Britney has those clip-on, insert-bangs that so many people have these days? God knows, I can?t even remember a time when Britney wore only her own hair and not some extensions, weaves or clip-in pieces. But let?s discuss the bangs in general, shall we?
The truth is, I don?t hate them on Britney. It?s a ?youthful? look on her, perhaps too ?youthful? for a woman of 30, but they also work in the other direction too ? they make her look like a young soccer mom. There are an awful lot of women who look exactly like this in my town. It?s the ?Carrie Underwood style? ? Southern prom queen, etc. They?re also Mom Bangs. Except? all of the moms that I see wear bras. Why does Brit-Brit hate foundation pieces so much?

These are some photos of Taylor Swift promoting her album in NYC yesterday. She made an appearance on Good Morning America (the red dress) and I don?t know? something else. The photos of Swifty in that white and yellowish ensemble are of her return to her hotel. I actually like that outfit a lot. If that outfit came in black-and-white or blue-and-white, I would wear that.
Anyway, Swifty?s press machine has really kicked into high gear, so there are lots of new interviews to discuss. She says a lot of the same stuff in interview after interview though, so I?m just going to do some assorted highlights. Just FYI ? the stuff that I found most interesting is when she?s giving blind items clues to which song is about which ex-boyfriend.
Swifty on ?We?re Never Ever Getting Back Together?: “It?s a definitive portrait of how I felt when I finally stopped caring what my ex thought of me.” But Swift still had to exact vengeance on the guy who “made me feel like I wasn’t as good or as relevant as these hipster bands he listened to. So I made a song that I knew would absolutely drive him crazy when he heard it on the radio. Not only would it hopefully be played a lot, so that he’d have to hear it, but it’s the opposite of the kind of music that he was trying to make me feel inferior to.” And why would Swift want to create a single specifically designed to torment someone? “Because that’s fun.”
The song ?All Too Well? : “There’s a kind of bad that gets so overpowering you can’t even write about it. When you feel pain that is so far past dysfunctional, that leaves you with so many emotions that you can’t filter them down to simple emotions to write about, that’s when you know you really need to get out.”
The song ?Treacherous,? which included the lyric “I’ll do anything you say if you say it with your hands.”: “That song was about a person that I knew, from the minute I saw him, that it would end in fiery, burning wreckage. There’s something about that magnetic draw that doesn’t really let up. You walk toward it anyway.”
She prefers to gossip through her music: “I like the way the stories of my relationships sound to music more than the way they look in print, in gossip columns or in me talking about them in interviews,” she says. “I think it’s a better way of telling the stories.”
She lies to her ex-boyfriends: “They never go into this like, ‘I really want to ask you out — could you not write songs about us?? They say that when we’re breaking up and they’re like, ‘You better not write a song about this!’ And I’m like, ‘Oh I won’t!’ And then I do.”

Confronting a rumor he'd heard amidst the back-and-forth with Berry, Leno asked her if she'd ever smoked pot with Hanks.
Playfully calling Jay out on his own smoking past, Berry shot back, ?I did. I smoked pot with Tom Hanks in this movie,? which was later referred to as ?movie pot.?

Stepping out for a cinematic evening, Amanda Seyfried hit the red carpet at the 16th annual Hollywood Film Festival on Monday (October 22).
The 26-year-old actress looked stunning in a corseted red dress and metallic heels, as she posed for photographs before heading inside.
Topping the list of honoree recipients at this year?s gala were Bradley Cooper, who took home the ?Hollywood Actor Award? for his work in ?Silver Linings Playbook;? Amy Adams, with the ?Hollywood Supporting Actress Award;? and Marion Cotillard, who nabbed the ?Hollywood Actress Award.?

Back in the Big Apple after her Italian birthday weekend getaway, Kim Kardashian joined Kanye West in attending the 2012 Angel Ball benefit on Monday night (October 22).
The always-fashion savvy superstar couple kept with the norm as they worked the Cipriani Wall Street arrivals carpet in dashing designer garb.
The Angel Ball, hosted by Denise Rich, supports the Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research with performers taking the stage at the star-studded event including Natalie Cole and DJ Cassidy.
Meanwhile, Kim and Kanye were among a full lineup of charitable stars on-hand for the fundraiser, as other celebs pitching in included Bar Rafaeli, Gerard Butler, Russell Simmons, David Arquette, and Solange Knowles.

Nearing the end of a jam-packed day of promotional duties, Taylor Swift hit the red carpet on Monday evening (October 22) at Skylight West in New York City.
The country singing sensation was once again looking picture perfect as she donned a deep purple dress for the Target 'Red' Deluxe Edition CD Release Launch Party festivities.
Along with dropping by "Good Morning America" earlier in the day, Miss Swift took time to chat with Ryan Seacrest on his Clear Channel radio program.
While she made sure to plug her just-released disc, the 22-year-old also dished on everything from going for the bad guys to feeling "lucky to be here another day."

Hard at work on her new project, Eva Mendes showed up on the Rockport, Massachusetts set of ?Clear History? this morning (October 22).
The ?We Own The Night? actress looked to be enjoying herself as she worked alongside Liev Schreiber, Jon Hamm, and director/star Larry David while shutterbugs looked on.
?Clear History? is about a disgraced former marketing executive who plots revenge against his former boss who made millions from the electric car company the once owned.
Due out sometime in 2014, the flick also stars Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton, Bill Hader, Danny McBride, and Amy Ryan.
