Chelsea Handler?s Netflix talk show has a new season – go here to see the trailer. Basically, it just seems like her old E! show, but now she curses at minor political figures AND celebrities. I always believed that Handler would have loved a bigger platform and to be taken seriously as a political comedian, but no one was buying it except for Netflix. Like, she wanted to do something like The Daily Show but all she could get was a Netflix show that few people watch. So, keeping with her continued attempts to rebrand herself as a political comedian, Chelsea has been talking a lot about Emperor Bigly and his wife, Empress Bigly. Handler actually mocked Melania Trump for not being 100% fluent in English and for speaking with an accent which? is the least offensive thing about Melania Trump. Anyway, what else does Handler have to say?
She always watches Sean Spicer?s daily briefings: ?Sean Spicer is my favorite person on the planet. Every press briefing, I mean, I miss my morning meeting now because the press briefing?s at the same time. I?m like, ?You guys, I?m sorry ? I gotta be with my spicy baked potato and watch him have diarrhea as he mounts that dais. I mean, what a mess. He is a disaster! It?s like, what are you doing? This ship is sinking. You better jump off.?
She doesn?t watch Fox News: ?I don?t watch Fox News too often because sometimes it makes me really angry.?
She thinks we?re witnessing the last days of Bigly: ?Watching this administration go down and fall apart at the seams is one of the most enjoyable times of my life. Because he?s such a bad person and the people who are around him are so bad. To watch bad people get their comeuppance is a really, really satisfying feeling.?
She?s worried that Trump will be impeached before her season is over: ?I kind of don?t want it to end too quickly, do you know what I?m saying? Now I?m like, ?Wait, wait, wait, wait ? I don?t want it to be over so soon.? We?ve gotten so spoiled.?

Such a wit, right? I get that political comedy is difficult, but why would anyone look to Chelsea Handler for topical political humor when John Oliver, Seth Meyers and Samantha Bee are in the world? I also feel like she?s celebrating The Demise of Bigly way too early. Like, I don?t think he?s going to make it a full year in office, but I?m so focused on the daily rage of this administration to ever brush it off, like, ?Oh, I hope he doesn?t get impeached this summer, the comedy is so good!? I?ll take a functioning government over good political comedy any day.

Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana are no more. We learned over the weekend that they had split just months after Janet had given birth to their son. While there still is no official announcement, everyone?s going with the story because ?Jackson family sources? are leaking all over the place. According to People Mag?s sources, Janet and Wissam split ?shortly after their son Eissa was born in January? because:
?They separated shortly after the baby was born. The cultural differences between her and Wissam became even more obvious [after Eissa arrived]. They come from very different worlds. For years, Janet tried to adapt to his culture. Since it?s not a culture she grew up with, it?s been challenging for her. She often felt she disappointed Wissam.?

Suddenly there are all of these rules and you feel like your husband and his religion are setting you up to fail. As for the money? I said yesterday that I didn?t think money would be some big issue between them. She?s rich, he?s rich, what do they have to fight about? Well, it seems like there was a prenup? and now that she made it to the five-year mark, she gets a huge pay-day??
She?s in control ? and in the money. Janet Jackson?s split from filthy rich Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana could net her up to $200 million under terms of their prenup, multiple family sources said. She was entitled to $100 million if they stayed married for at least five years, family sources told The Post. Jackson and Al Mana announced their marriage in January 2012 but might have been secretly married as early as December 2011.
The prenup also calls for that $100 million payment to be doubled if they have a child ? which became so three months ago with the birth of their son Eissa.
?It looks like a money grab but it?s not about money,? a relative of the ?Control? singer Jackson said. ?She?s never in a relationship too long. Her longest was [musician] Rene [Elizonda] and that was for [nearly] 10 years [1991-2000]. Marriage doesn?t agree with her. She doesn?t agree with marriage.?
A long-time security guard for the Jackson family agreed, saying money isn?t the driving force here ? and that Janet didn?t like Al Mana?s conservative ways.
?She loves to be in control,? the family confidante said. ?She ceded that control [in marriage] and she was not happy about it. She wants to get back to being Janet Jackson and not Mrs. Wissam Al Mana or being the obedient Muslim wife.?
A $200 million payout would be a brutal ? but far from crushing ? bottom-line blow to Al Mana, who is worth $1 billion, according to an estimate by money-and-celeb site The Richest. The hubby?s Al Mana Group has vast holdings in cars, real estate, retail, tech and other ventures. Jackson is worth a mere $150 million, The Richest estimated.

$200 million for five years and a baby? Hm? I mean, what I have even done in the past five years that I couldn?t have done while also waiting out that $200 million pay-day??? Now, I doubt Wissam will end up cutting Janet a check for $200 million. It will be negotiated down to something more manageable, especially if Wissam agrees to some terms about how the baby will be raised. Also: yeah, I don?t think Janet is meant to be married.

Ah, Dwayne Johnson? there isn?t a super-fun publicity stunt or questionable film plot he hasn?t met. In case you haven?t heard, Disney is continuing their spotty Attraction-to-Film record by making a live-action version of the iconic Jungle Cruise ride. Although he has been attached since 2015, the film has just been put into his production schedule and is slated to hit theaters in 2019. According to THR, several versions of the script were written but it is only with the latest that DJ, who is also producing, felt confident enough to fit the film into his schedule. They are currently scouting for a director.
So, as is his special talent, DJ found a very clever way to get everyone all excited about a movie they never knew they wanted. He showed up to skipper a Jungle Cruise boat at Orlando?s Disney World and posted it to Instagram for all to see:

Once I committed to our Disney partners to make the movie based off the JUNGLE CRUISE ride, I wanted to dive head first into the research. So I headed to Walt Disney World and surprised tourists by commandeering the JUNGLE CRUISE boat. It was a GREAT day on the river. Learned a lot.. for example, it takes approximately 12.6 minutes for all the passengers to get over the shock of me jumping on the boat and thinking I'm a DJ look-a-like. One passenger even said, "Oh the real Rock is much smaller than this guy". I threw his ass off the boat. Jokes aside (and yes, with me as the Cruise Skipper there will be an abundance of puns) this is such an amazing, fantastical and cool world to build out. Best part about this surprise research day was knowing how FUN of an experience we're gonna work hard to create for families around the world. That's the part that gets my excited the most. The movie. The ride. The experience. It's the cruise of a lifetime. And trust me, you'll want me as your Skipper. Just don't forget to bring the Skipper's beer. I know there are mixed feelings about Chrissy Teigen here. While a lot of people think the social media addict should rein it in a bit, she does use her celebrity for good once in a while. She lent her support to the girls who were kicked off a recent United flight for wearing leggings and, back in December, she gifted one of her Lip Sync Battle dresses to a fan. I never got those knee-high boots I put a good word in for yet, but I?m keeping hope alive.
Over the weekend, Chrissy committed a random act of kindness that was truly a life-changer. Mercedes Edney, an aspiring beautician/beauty blogger in Charlotte, North Carolina, set up a crowd funding page through YouCaring to raise the money she needed to become a licensed esthetician. Getting that license isn’t cheap, Mercedes was looking at $5,995 for tuition, books, and an enrollment fee. The only school she could attend, the Academy of Nail Technology & Esthetics, does not have financial aid, and Mercedes wasn?t eligible for any scholarships.
Mercedes raised a couple of hundred dollars from friends and family, but on Friday, was shocked to see a huge donation of $5,605 posted to her fundraising page from the 31-year-old model. Chrissy added the message, ?I?ve seen this be your passion for such a long time now. So excited to see you fulfill your dream!? Mercedes took to Instagram to share the good news. Posting a photo of a receipt for the down payment for her schooling, she said,
Something absolutely amazing happened last night. Many of you know how much I love skin care and my plans to attend esthetician school next month. Last night I posted my tuition fundraiser on twitter and something I never in my wildest dreams happened. My paypal alert went off, and as I looked at my phone, there was amount of $5605. I thought it was a glitch. I then look at my email and realized it came from my fundraiser. @chrissyteigen donated my entire tuition money for school. I have been crying all night and I cried in the office this morning as I paid my downpayment for esthetician school. I haven't been this happy in a very long time. Thank you Chrissy and thank you to everyone else who voted or rtd my link or have supported me this entire time. It means more to me than you'll ever know. ?? #ixorabb #futureesthetician
