Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian at LAX a few days ago, looking sort of morose. I don?t know why ? last week was a good week for her. She got a lot of attention for showing off her greased-up and Photoshopped body in an attempt to #BreakTheInternet. Everyone was talking about her. Even people who don?t care about celebrity gossip had an opinion about Kim?s Paper Mag photoshoot. It was the weirdest thing. You?d think the whole world hadn?t seen her naked several times already.
Meanwhile, the Paper Magazine photos have led to a revival of the debate about whether Kim has augmented (or continues to augment) her booty. I?ve actually gone back and forth on the idea ? I have no doubt that Kim augments other parts of her body (her lips, her waist, her breasts, her nose) and while I think she?s probably had work done to her booty, I do wonder if it?s really ?butt implants,? you know? But the NYDN spoke to some plastic surgeons about Kim?s booty. And Khloe?s Pinocchio Butt, which we all know is made of lies.
Are the Kardashians for real? No, really. The Sisters Kardashian ? Kim with her baby-oil-enhanced appearance in Paper magazine this week and Khloe with her shelf-like posterior, courtesy of trainer Gunnar Peterson ? have revived debate about whether those killer kurves are natural or simply the perfect marriage of Photoshop and fat-filled syringes. To get to the bottom of it all, we asked the experts.
?Kim has had enhancement for sure,? says Dr. Basil Pakeman, who performs Brazilian butt lifts at Manhattan Surgical Care on the Upper East Side. Packman, who has not worked on either Kardashian sister, said he knows that baby got fake back because he noticed a ?little dot? near the top of her butt. ?That?s one of the incision points we use to inject fat during procedures,? he says.
Those procedures, which involve liposuction on the stomach, hips, thighs and back followed by fat injections on the top, center and bottom of the buttocks, have been growing in popularity since Jennifer Lopez first shimmied in her ?Love Don?t Cost a Thing? video in 2000. It caused a revolution. A curvy body ? especially one with a big butt ? became more popular than the heroin-chic anorexic look of a decade earlier. But Kim and Khloe have taken the bootylicious craze to a cartoonish level.
?Certainly, the Paper magazine images do not look real,? says Dr. Victoria Karlinsky, chief cosmetic surgeon at New Look New Life on the Upper West Side. ?She looks incredibly thin in the waist and has absolutely no body fat. I can?t imagine anyone having enough body fat to create something like that.?
Paper?s creative director, Mickey Boardman, told Us Weekly that the photos were doctored slightly, but maintained that no extra meat was added to Kardashian?s bones. Others are unconvinced.
Karlinsky adds that Khloe, who already has an accentuated lumbar spine that curves nicely, would have no trouble filling out her already curvaceous behind.
?When somebody [like Khloe] has that natural ?C? curve, it?s easy to augment,? says Karlinsky, adding that the work was ?beautifully done.?
Like Karlinsky, many professionals are calling out the magazine cover shot for being heavily distorted using Photoshop.
?Not sure what screams #photoshop more, the 12-inch waist, or the solid color background?? tweeted Dr. Matthew Schulman, a New York plastic surgeon who performs butt lifts.

Yeah, I like that plastic surgeons just take it as a given that Khloe has gotten booty work done. Because it really is THAT obvious. As for Kim? yeah, probably. I think she had a naturally big butt, but as her body changed over the years, she?s gotten fat sucked out of her waist and put into her rear. Is that how they do it? Meh.
Oh, and Kim posted a bunch of photos of North out with her ?aunties? at the zoo. One of the aunties is Lorraine Schwartz. Apparently, North had her first hot chocolate and she smiled a real smile at all of the fishies.

Colin Farrell has always been very close to his family. His sister has worked as his personal assistant before (I?m not sure if she still does), and Colin has always been very tight with his brother Eamon. Eamon is gay, and he married his partner in Canada a few years back. But their marriage is not recognized or legal in Ireland, which is where Eamon and his husband live now. Colin wants to see that rectified. Colin wrote an open letter in Ireland?s Sunday World, arguing for the legalization of gay marriage in Ireland ahead of a referendum vote. You can read the full letter here. Here?s an edited version:
I?ve been fortunate enough to never have any issue with the idea of gay union. I think I found out my brother wasn?t grovelling in heterosexual mud like most boys our age when I was around 12. I remember feeling surprised. Intrigued. Curious. Not bi curious before you start getting ideas. I was curious because it was different from anything I?d known or heard of and yet it didn?t seem unnatural to me. I had no reference for the existence of homosexuality. I had seen, by that age, no gay couples together. I just knew my brother liked men and, I repeat, it didn?t seem unnatural to me.
My brother Eamon didn?t choose to be gay. Yes, he chose to wear eyeliner to school and that probably wasn?t the most pragmatic response to the daily torture he experienced at the hands of school bullies. But he was always proud of who he was. Proud and defiant and, of course, provocative. Even when others were casting him out with fists and ridicule and the laughter of pure loathsome derision, he maintained an integrity and dignity that flew in the face of the cruelty that befell him.
And this is why the forthcoming referendum is so personal to me. It?s about inclusion. It?s about fairness. It?s about giving our lesbian and gay sisters and brothers back a right that should never have been stolen from them in the first place. Speaking out in support of equality in all its forms is a moral necessity if we?re to have a society where peace, compassion and kindness become the ruling classes. Only love in action can stamp out the wilting toxicity of the intolerant among us. Only ink on paper can truly prove that the Irish people are who we?ve held ourselves proudly to be ? a people who, in the majority, are deeply feeling and have a natural and abiding lean towards inclusion and fairness, heart and hospitality.
This referendum is a chance for us to arise. To wake up to the conviction that true love from the heart of one being to another cares not for the colour, nor the creed, nor the gender of who it chooses to share that path with. We have a chance to effect a change that?s about recognising no one love is greater than another by virtue of tradition. We have a chance to simply tip our hats to love in all its kaleidoscopic and majestic forms.
Eamon did not choose to be gay, no more than I chose to be straight. It?s all a trick, a sleight of nature. I don?t know where those bullies are now, the ones who beat him regularly. Maybe some of them have found peace and would rather forget their own part of a painful past. Maybe they?re sitting on bar stools and talking about ?birds and f-ggots? and why one?s the cure and the other the disease. But I do know where my brother is. He?s at home in Dublin living in peace and love with his husband of some years, Steven. They are about the healthiest and happiest couple I know. They had to travel a little farther than down the aisle to make their vows, though, to Canada, where their marriage was celebrated. That?s why this is personal to me. The fact that my brother had to leave Ireland to have his dream of being married become real is insane. INSANE.
This for me is all about the heart, not the gender. If it?s about the idea of love between consenting adults, then this referendum is as much a heterosexual issue as it is a gay issue. It is for all of us that civil marriage equality must be realised. There are too many things that divide us as a people, let not this be another one. Let this be about not only the matrimonial unity of a man and a man or a woman and a woman, but let it be also about the unity of a community, the unity of an island which has at its heart a gold that this vote speaks to. How often do we get to make history in our lives? Not just personal history. Familial. Social. Communal. Global. The world will be watching. We will lead by example. Let?s lead toward light.

Colin also pointed out that as a heterosexual, he could jump into a car and drive to Las Vegas and get married by Elvis in a drive-through. Which is true. But the state of Nevada is one of the states going through legal proceedings to see if gay marriage will be legalized. Here are some photos from today?s world premiere of Unbroken, which was held in Sydney, Australia. It was a big event ? Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt walked the red carpet, and most of Angelina?s actors came too. Jack O?Connell (the star) was there, as was Miyavi, the Japanese rock star-turned-actor. Some people think Miyavi is going to get an Oscar nomination for playing the sadistic Japanese POW-camp leader, The Bird. Garrett Hedlund didn?t come to the premiere though, and I don?t see any pics of Jai Courtney or Domhnall Gleeson, so I guess Jack and Miyavi were the only actors to come. Still, it was probably a really nice event for the mostly Australian crew, and Angelina made sure some Aussie WWII veterans were invited to the premiere as well.
For the premiere, Angeline wore this very fitted and sleek Gucci gown. You know lace isn?t my jam, but this is okay. It?s fine. I prefer it to her sack dresses. Angelina?s been doing more body-con looks lately, which is nice. Maybe the sack dresses were a phase and now that she?s post-surgery and her breast reconstruction has ?settled,? she feels more comfortable in tighter clothes.
On the red carpet, Angelina told The Mail that she and Brad feel different after the wedding: ?I think we just feel that much closer. It makes us happy to be married, if that makes any sense. I don?t think we needed it but it feels ? he?s my husband.?

Yay, the daily pap sessions have continued for Taylor Swift! I was wondering when we would start seeing Swifty?s autumn/winter styles. She?s still stuck in autumn, even though it felt like the cold, dead hand of winter here on the East Coast this weekend. These photos of Swifty are from Friday. I like the poncho thing and I?m okay with boots. The skinny jeans are blah to me, but she has the legs for them. We should be seeing more of Swifty in NYC for the next few months and then next year, she starts her tour to support 1989. The tickets are already selling like hot cakes. You see, Swifty just has her music these days. She has her music, her money, her girlfriends and her vast real estate portfolio. But that it!! No boyfriend. And for some reason, people are still asking her about boyfriends.
Nothing broke her heart more than this. Taylor Swift opened up to Us Weekly about picking up the pieces after her past relationships, saying all she wanted was for people to focus on her music rather than her love life.
“It broke my heart!” the 1989 singer, 24, tells Us. “I was selling out stadiums and it was all people talked about.” So, after her last relationship (which ended with Harry Styles in early 2013), Swift put boys on the back burner and instead, returned to the recording studio where she diligently worked on her fifth studio album.
After selling 1.28 million copies of 1989 in its first week, Swift has finally reached a point where the world is buzzing about her talent. “Now people talk less about the things that don’t matter,” she tells Us. It’s working: 1989 remains at number one on the Billboard 200 for the second week and is projected to remain at the top spot for a third.
Swift also goes through some of her tracks on the album with Us, including “All You Had to Do Was Stay,” “How You Get the Girl,” and “Wildest Dreams.” The singer-songwriter says “Stay” was inspired not by a real-life romance, but rather a dream.
“I was trying to talk to someone important,” she recalls of the reverie. “And that’s all that would come out of my mouth. I woke up so weirded out!”
She also “totally” agrees with Us that “How You Get the Girl” serves as an instruction manual for men. “It’s written for a guy who has broken up with his girlfriend, then wants her back after six months,” she reveals. “But it’s not going to be as simple as sending a text like, ‘Sup? Miss you.’” She adds, “That won’t work. You need to do all the things I say.”

?It was all people talked about!? Because it was all SHE talked about! It was all she sang about! And now all she talks about is how she doesn’t have a boyfriend. I read some pro-Swifty piece about which songs on this new album are about Harry Styles, and most Swiftaholics believe that there are at least two or three that Harry specifically. It?s not the whole album, but it?s enough to make you wonder. Like, I wonder if she?s going to need to have at least two boyfriends and bad breakups before she writes the next album. Oh, and you know who is her tour?s opening act? Vance Joy. He?s a cute guy and he would date her and then break her heart properly. I look forward to it.

Kendall Jenner’s mainstream modelling career just took a sharp right turn for the legit. She’s been announced as the face of Estee Lauder. I’m not too surprised. Kendall’s walked runways for Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Pucci, and Bottega Veneta over the past few seasons. Now she’s scored her first major modelling contract. I know the knee jerk reaction is to wonder how a Kardashian could represent a major brand. This decision makes sense though. Time magazine called Kendall “influential.“ It hurts to think of anyone in the Kardashian Klan that way, but it’s true. Kendall has a large social media presence, which will only help the Estee Lauder brand by appealing to the selfie generation.
Kendall excitedly Instagrammed the news on Saturday morning: “I am super excited to announce that I am the new face of @esteelauder!! check out http://www.esteelauder.com/kendall to see more…I still can’t believe it myself!” Here are the details from People:
Kendall has known about her new gig for a few months, but had to wait to reveal it to the rest of the world, which only built up the excitement.
“It honestly feels like a dream to represent such an iconic beauty brand — it is an incredible honor and quite humbling,” she says in a press release. “I found out when I was backstage at Paris fashion week, and all this time I?ve had to keep the news top secret. I am so excited to share it now and be part of Este Lauder.”
Adds Estee Lauder Global Brand President Jane Hertzmark Hudis, “She is the ultimate instagirl, and we are excited to leverage her image, voice, energy and extraordinary social media power to introduce Estee Lauder to millions of young women around the world.”

Jennifer Lawrence is everywhere right now for Mockingjay promotion. Here she is outside of the GMA studios (you can see that interview here). I skipped writing about JLaw on Friday to give you guys a break from the onslaught. So I’m playing catchup with a lot of her NYC promotion, and she’s already back in LA ahead of tonight’s premiere. Photos of her leaving SoulCycle on Sunday are in the gallery.
There’s a ton of stuff, so let’s start with Jennifer’s interview with the Telegraph. She complains about being famous twice. She redeems herself by saying she’s “just an an actress” and not a world leader or anything. Oh, and her new $7 million home is filled with Ikea furniture. Ha:
The time she helped a friend pick out a dog: “It was a really great day but I didn?t realise he was taking pictures of me with his phone which he later sold online. I don?t want to have to question every person that comes into my life but at the same time I have reason to. I don?t want to change but people need to stop being such a**holes.”
She likes cheap furniture: “I have perspective because I didn?t grow up in this business. I?m not from Hollywood, I?m from Kentucky. I didn?t become successful until a few years ago and I?m very aware of what the real world is and how much a couch costs. So I bought one from Ikea. It doesn?t matter how much money I make, unfairness in prices really fires me up. Like shopping in L.A and a tee-shirt costs $150.”
Shopping is difficult: “A lot of anxiety comes from something as simple as me going to the grocery store because I don?t know what could happen and I have nightmares all the time that I?m walking through a shopping mall and suddenly people start surrounding me and there?s nowhere I can go. So sometimes it?s easier to call one of my friends and ask them to pick up some bananas for me because I don?t want to go to the grocery store and have an event. But it?s important to stay grounded, so I don?t know. I?m figuring it out. Or trying to. I?m still the same and I don?t feel any different but when the elevator doors open and everybody gasps, it?s an alienating feeling.”
Stop asking about her stolen photos: “I?ve talked about the experience to Vanity Fair and I feel I?ve said everything I have to say about i. Everybody who?s been through a terrible event knows you don?t really like talking about it.”
She knows her place in the universe: “I?m just an actress, not the leader of anything important. But being a role model is something I knew would come with this job and it?s something I have to be aware of. It?s not like I go out and go to discos and get crazy, but if young people are listening to me I have to be careful about what I?m saying, which is not my strong suit. So I?m trying to work on that.”
On people who kiss celebs’ butts: “I don?t really absorb any of that stuff because I don?t think it would be good for me. I love acting so I just show up for work and I film movies and I have to promote them and then I go home. And that?s about it.”
