Mischa Barton is an attention whore. There?s no kinder or gentler way to put it, so it might as well just be said. She hasn?t had a single significant acting job since she was fired from ?The O.C.? forever ago. Well? three years ago, which is forever in Hollywood. There?s several things I?ve never even heard of on her IMDB page (?Virgin Territory? anyone?), but mostly Mischa?s been making a name for herself by going the Paris Hilton route ? being famous just for being famous. Oh, and her atrocious fashion sense.
So what else can you do to get people to pay attention to you? Well, not get a job, that?s for damn sure. So Mischa did the next best thing. When attending the Miss Sixty fashion week show, she wore a black dress that was completely see through under a photographer?s flash. And when the kind employees of Miss Sixty tried to find something for her to use to cover up, she ungraciously refused almost everything they offered.
You can lead a fashionista to couture, but you can’t make them wear it.
Only minutes before showtime, staffers backstage at Miss Sixty were in crisis mode?Mischa Barton’s dress was see-through.
Indeed, the O.C. starlet had arrived at the Fashion Week tents in Bryant Park wearing a thin, black frock that photographers’ flashbulbs would render transparent. Men and women working for the label immediately began scrambling to find something by the designer to drape over Barton, even taking clothes off their own backs and offering them to her.
“She’s a royal pain in the ass,” one staffer complained to another. “We sent all these clothes over and she ends up wearing nothing!”
She was selective, but wound up agreeing to a scarf that draped strategically over her shoulders. Thankfully, it was not the same scarf Kristen Bell was wearing, although that black, white and red accessory was about to be given to her when the potential faux pas was realized.

Zimbio reports that Mischa wasn?t just ?selective,? but flat out ?extremely picky.? Obviously Barton wanted the attention and headlines a naked dress would bring her. It had nothing to do with being finicky about fashion choices, as anyone with an ounce of class would probably tell you that showing your nipples is about the least fashionable and most tacky thing you could do. Not that tackiness ever stopped Mischa Barton. Nonetheless, thank goodness for that scarf.

Madonna?s relationship with 22-year-old model Jesus Luz is creepy at best. An ex-girlfriend of Luz just pointed out to the New York Post that Madge is the same age as his grandmother. Apparently Luz is so under her spell that his family thinks he?s being held captive by her. And while that would normally sound paranoid and insane, when we?re talking about Madonna, nothing is completely off the table.
The Material Girl is the same age as her new Brazilian lover’s grandmother, an ex-girlfriend says. Jesus Pinto da Luz, the 22-year-old blue- eyed model Madonna met on a photo shoot, has a granny who is about 50. Madonna turns 51 in August.
The hunk’s mortified mom, Cristiane Regina da Silva - who is 14 years younger than Madonna - believes the pop diva has kidnapped her son, snatching him away to a New York love nest and controlling his every move.
Madonna and Jesus spent the Christmas holiday in the Maldives, where her public-relations people confiscated his cellphone, accord ing to the Brazilian media.
His mom said she received only a cryptic text message from Jesus wishing his loved ones a Merry Christmas and telling them he wouldn’t be visiting for the holidays.
The hunk, who has left a trail of ex-girlfriends, had lived at home with his mother, a hairdresser, and his dad. Both parents are devout Evangelical Christians who sent Jesus to a private university prep school, where young women tailed him in the hallways to get his autograph “because his blue eyes were irresistible,” said a recent report in O Dia newspaper.

Boy, I bet those Evangelical Christian parents of his aren?t too happy about Jesus declaring he?s converting to Kabbalah. Yesterday I saw a man on the subway wearing the Kabbalah red string bracelet and I got all excited. I?ve never actually seen anyone wear one in real life. But the subway man struck me as an actual believer -and probably wasn?t dating Madonna, since he was near her age. Not that I?d put anything past her.
I?m guessing Madonna isn?t technically holding Jesus hostage or anything, but it does sound like she?s isolating him. As a notorious control freak, that?s not surprising, though it?s still concerning. Madge seems like she does a decent job of brainwashing people ? really, she?s an entire cult rolled into one person. I don?t blame Jesus? family for being worried. If this situation were reversed and an older man were isolating a 22-year-old woman, confiscating her cell phone, and indoctrinating her into a cult, people would be up in arms. Just because it?s Madonna doesn?t mean it?s less scary. And being up in her arms is frightening in and of itself.

Sienna Miller and married dad Balthazar Getty don’t like like they’ve split up as has been rumored. The two were photographed in a prolonged embrace in the parking lot of LAX airport yesterday. These two seem to have a hot and cold relationship. They were first linked last summer when multiple photos came out of a topless Sienna on vacation with Balthazar in Italy. Sienna then called herself single in November and then was spotted out making out with Josh Hartnett, but is said to have spent Thanksgiving with Getty, suggesting they reunited shortly afterwards.
It looks like we now know why Sienna was complaining recently about “experiencing the judgment of women in the past year” - she’s still with the separated oil heir, who has four children with his wife, the youngest of whom is just 16 months.
Potential spoilers for Brothers and Sisters
Getty’s high profile affair with Sienna, along with a reported diva attitude on set, may have cost him his job. He is reportedly being written off his ABC series Brothers and Sisters (link contains spoilers). Rumor has it that his contract has not been renewed and that his character will exit in a dramatic fashion.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen are engaged says PEOPLE. Bilson and Hayden, who most recently co-starred in possibly one of the worst movies of 2008, are “so excited.” Reps for Bilson had no comment and no wedding date has been set, but Hayden should lock that down before the Stockholm syndrome wears off.
Also, PEOPLE put up a pretty unflattering photo of Rachel in their article which makes her look like a miniature Frankenstein. Which goes to show. If you want things done right, you have to plant hidden cameras in her bathroom yourself.

I have a hard time believing that Victoria Beckham could have possibly given birth to three kids. Where exactly did she keep them? If she swallowed a whole grapefruit she’d probably split open. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are moving to the NYC area for her new film Salt and according to the NY Post she is looking at apartments in Washington Heights. Washington Heights? Seriously, I know they have a Broadway musical about the place, but Angelina you should consider going a little further north to Riverdale! You will have 3 top private schools and 1 awesome public elementary school to choose from for the kids, plenty of parks, shopping, gorgeous view and it is pretty much a paparazzi-free area. I even know a few great apartment buildings that you could look at!!! Knox, Vivenne, Shiloh, Zahara, Pax and Maddox would so love it there!!!

And there could soon be wedding bells according to New York gossip column PageSix, after Bilson was spotted on a flight from Los Angeles airport to New York’s JFK on Monday wearing a sparkling diamond ring.
A source tells the publication, “A man sitting in front of her on the plane saw a ring on her finger and asked if she was married.”
And Bilson was said to have replied, “I’m not married yet, just engaged. I know I look like I’m 15 but I’m actually 27.”

Even though Halle Berry is having poblems leaving Nahla just for a night, that hasn?t stopped Halle from signing to play Doris Payne, a real, famous jewel thief who operated in Europe and America. The film is called Who Is Doris Payne? and I really hope they change that for the release. AHN has more on the film:
Halle Berry has signed on to play a jewel thief on an upcoming film based on real events. She will play the title character in Eunetta Boone-scripted film “Who is Doris Payne.”
The film will center on Doris, a jewel thief whose modus operandi was to enter jewelry stores posing as a wealthy woman looking for a diamond ring. Her career spans decades and states, though she got arrested many times. She is currently serving a sentence in Las Vegas for stealing a ring from Neiman Marcus.
As per Variety, the project is being developed by former “Malcolm in the Middle” star Justin Berfield and his J2 partner Jason Felts.

Angelina Jolie was spotted out shopping for Easter baskets with her two older daughters, Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, who turns three on May 27. I thought these photos were so cute because both Zahara and Shiloh have their comfort items with them. They were also seen getting Easter items at an art store. Angelina told Hello! Magazine in an interview published last year that Zahara has a blankie and Shiloh has “silkies,” and it looks like that’s what they’re both carrying in some of these pictures. Here’s how Angelina described her children’s comfort items:
“Madd is interested in the military right now, so he has a lot of little army men and military planes. Pax has bits of rope - that’s his thing, for some reason - and also stuffed monkeys, which he loves. Pax packs a lot - his bags are very small, but they’re really heavy. Zizi has a blanket that was once actually pink, but now is the dirtiest shade of brown you can imagine. Shiloh has little, what she calls ’silkies’, which are like these little square things with silk on them that are very important to her because she just has to have them? and I think that’s about it. These photos are a double treat in that we get to see Matt Damon without his shirt on along with what I believe is the first glimpse of his six month-old daughter, Gia Zavala. Damon, his wife Luciana and their daughters Gia, Isabella, two and a half, and Alexia (from Luciana’s first marriage) were spotted on vacation in the Caribbean on Monday. Damon was seen drinking a beer and watching his daughters play on the beach.
Damon, 38, gained from 20-30 pounds last summer for his role as a conflicted executive in the true-life drama The Informant. In order to gain weight quickly for the role, Damon said that he stopped working out, drank a lot of beer and ate burgers. He admitted that it was easier to gain weight in his late 30s than when he was in was in his 20s.
Damon had to lose weight quickly after that role as he needed to re-shoot scenes for his film The Green Zone in September. He seems to have gained some of the weight back, but he’s still super hot looking and looks great. It looks like he had a relaxing vacation with his family over Valentine’s Day weekend.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were photographed saying their goodbyes on Monday after a romantic four day Valentine’s weekend in the Bahamas. The on-again couple looked either tired and/or somewhat high as they hugged and kissed. The photos are exclusives and we don’t have a deal with the agency, so you can view them on X17’s website.
According to a “source” quoted by X17, the mini vacation was a surprise Valentine’s Day gift from Mayer to Aniston:
The couple left aboard a private jet from LA late last Thursday night (immediately after Aniston’s second 40th birthday party), and they touched down on the island of Eleuthera the next morning after a 6 1/2-hour direct flight.
A source tells X17online the trip was a Valentine’s Day present from John:
“John decided to surprise her on her 40th birthday, by telling Jennifer he had organized a romantic getaway for the two of them for Valentine’s Day. Jen usually goes to Cabo or to Hawaii so the Bahamas was something new for her.”
The pair stayed in a super luxurious home on the north of the island - the same island where Mariah Carey owns a house and where she and Nick Cannon were married last year. The pad is in an exclusive gated neighborhood on the island, and is directly on the white sand beach.

Maybe these two are the real deal and Mayer isn’t as much of a player now as his reputation, and some of his past statements to the press, suggest. He wouldn’t be the first man changed by the love of a good woman. Obviously I’m not a Mayer fan but if if he’s treating Aniston well then good for him. I’ve previously had the impression that he’s only sticking around as long as he can name drop Aniston in interviews and get a few headlines. These two already broke up last summer and were rumored to have called it off again late last month so I kind of feel for Jen and wonder when the other shoe is going to drop. If Mayer is planning romantic surprise vacations he could be serious about making it work this time though. Jen seems to really love him, big mouth and all, and you hope for her sake that it’s something more lasting.

If it isn’t one Lohan, it’s another. Though Michael Lohan has stayed surprisingly mum during these recent reported fights between Lindsay and Sam, and also regarding his daughter’s weight loss, Dina felt that it was time to add her two cents. She says that though Lindsay is thin, she’s not worried because “we go through this every couple of months.” And perhaps in reference to Lindsay’s comments the other day that she ate a Big Mac, Dina’s advice to her daughter is to eat more MacDonald’s.
?I don?t know why people care about other people?s weight. I think they should look in their own mirror and stare at themselves,? Dina told Billy. ?I?m a mom. If I see my daughter a little thin, I say, ?Eat more McDonald?s.??
Earlier this week, Lindsay also referred to the fast-food chain in defending herself from comments in the media suggesting she and girlfriend Samantha Ronson were in competition to see who could become thinner.
?I eat. I had my Big Mac yesterday from McDonald?s,? Lindsay told Us Weekly on Monday. ?I eat as much as I always have.?
Still, Dina says it wouldn?t kill her daughter to add a few pounds.
?I told Lindsay I think she?s a little thin,? Dina admitted. ?But we go through this every couple of months. My daughter is happy and healthy and that?s all that really matters.?
Dealing with tabloid attention is certainly nothing new for Dina and her family and she said it?s something they?ve learned to ignore.
?We try to keep it at bay and not really read it or engage in it because it?s just other people?s opinions,? she continued. ?We?ve got hit pretty hard in the past, so we don?t really go there.?

What a great mom. She thinks that the physical manifestation of her daughter’s hard partying ways will just go away if she eats a hamburger. How wise. I also wonder when Dina will understand that if she wants to stay out of the tabloids, she needs to avoid giving interviews to Access Hollywood and talking about her daughter, which leads people to write about Lindsay some more. Just a thought.

Angelina Jolie was seen out and about in NYC Tuesday, possibly looking for a new apartment. She and Brad rented a $60 million mansion in Long Island a few weeks ago, but I guess that just wasn’t enough. The apartment building she was looking at is very ritzy, and has work permits to allow for remodeling according to the owner’s taste. I remember hearing that Brad is very into remodeling and construction, so this building might make sense for them and give him a project while Angelina is filming Salt in NYC. The movie is rumored to be the reason that their family has leased a home 50 miles from the city, and is now looking at an apartment. Brad also said recently that he recognizes that he and Angelina have moved the kids around a lot, and they’re looking to settle down. Maybe this is where they’ll be able to do that.
A few weeks after signing the lease on a $60 million Long Island mansion, the actress, 33, was spotted checking out a nice building in Manhattan’s uptown Washington Heights neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
“The building had work permits and it seemed like they were probably being remodeled for [buyers'] taste,” a witness tells Us.
Jolie — who donned a black trench coat, boots and sunglasses — spent about 25 minutes inside the building sans Brad Pitt or her six kids.
“The building is pretty fancy,” the onlooker says. “It’s really nice.”
Jolie, who is up for best actress at this Sunday’s Academy Awards, seemed to be in a good mood.
“She was nice,” the witness tells Us. “She waved to the cameras, said, ‘hey guys.’”
The Jolie-Pitts could be making NYC a permanent home — for awhile, at least, while Jolie films thriller Salt.
“I’ve been dragging my kids from continent to continent,” Pitt recently said. “So we’re going to give them a break.”

They really do seem to jet-set a lot for movies as well as for pleasure, and I wonder how the kids handle it. I understand that they want to give their children a worldwide education - Angelina is very big into the concept of global citizenship - but it has to be tough on them. Though they may have a very loving and supportive family, changing scenes that often can be hard, and can make it difficult for kids to make and keep long-term friends. Maddox, the oldest, is seven, so it makes sense that they’re wanting to start settling as the kids start becoming of school age.
I wonder whether they’ll live in the NYC apartment or re-lease the mansion in Long Island. They may raise the kids in the house and use the apartment as a kind of getaway in the city when they have commitments in New York. Moving back and forth between the two homes certainly won’t be a problem - that’s what assistants are for.

Tom Cruise is a man of leisure at the moment. He can jet off to Florida for a little rest and relaxation, attend Daytona, then take his girls to DisneyWorld to meet Cinderella. His comeback is nearly complete. The only thing that would enhance it would be a magnanimous appearance at the Oscars, even though the Academy failed to nominate him this year for his hilarious appearance in Tropic Thunder (though the Academy recognized Robert Downey Jr.?s comeback).
But Tom Cruise won’t be doing ?presenting? duties at the Oscars. Allegedly, according to OK! Magazine, Cruise and Holmes will not be attending this year?s Oscar ceremony. It could be a fake-out, like when Tom presented in 2002, the year his new ex-wife Nicole Kidman was nominated for Moulin Rouge. Or it could be that the Academy didn?t even ask Tom or his wife (or both) to present.
Perhaps it’s because Valkyrie was a box-office dud or because Mad Money was an even bigger disappointment, but it looks like this year’s Academy Awards ceremony will be TomKat free.
According to a source close to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the Hollywood power couple had been planning on attending the Feb. 22 festivities, despite neither of them getting any love from the Academy.
But then in the last couple days “plans changed,” says the source adding that it’s all a bit of a mystery as to why, since both Tom and Katie are still planning on being in town for the weekend.

Even though I?ve lately been giving into the power of Xenu, I know Tom Cruise?s publicity-seeking ways too well. Even if he?s not attending the Oscar ceremony, he?ll find some way to be apart of the Oscar festivities. Perhaps Tom and Katie plan to party-hop all night? That would be my guess, but maybe Xenu will provide some last-mintue presenting duties so Tom won?t lose face.

Chris Brown’s newly hired reps issued an apology on Sunday, but a friend of Rihanna’s says the singer is “appalled” by it. They say it feels like Chris isn’t remorseful at all.
”All of us, including Rihanna, don’t understand how he can say he’s sorry on the one hand, but still … does not admit any guilt,” said the source, adding, “He should have expressed more contrition.”
In Los Angeles, a close Rihanna associate — in daily contact with her — told this column Monday the entertainer is ”royally pissed off” by what Rihanna calls Brown’s ”cavalier and arrogant statement.”
Of course, when Chris read this, he shook his fist in the air and said, “One of these days… Pow! Right in the kisser! Oh… right.” That Chris Brown is an asshole.
