Vida Guerra is best known for her modeling and video vixening. Is that a word? Now she’s focusing more on fitness modeling and competition. Though this isn’t an entirely new area she’s exploring. It’s actually something she’s been doing since she was 19. Vida was generous enough to answer a few questions for The Blemish about how she got into it, how she stays in competitive shape and VidaForce, the new energy product she’s got going.
We hear that you are doing fitness modeling/competition. How is this going for you?
Well, it wasn’t a change it was just an alteration of what people?s perception of me was. Mainly, because I was the video vixen featured in magazines and music videos, fans of mine only viewed me one way. Which was the opposite of who I truly am…
How much time do you need to spend daily working out, in the gym, etc to stay in competitive shape?
I started working out in the gym when I was about 19. This is when I started bodybuilding. To give The Blemish an insight of my background I can tell you that I was active as a kid. I played baseball with the boys, did karate and was in ballet since the age of 8.
My first fitness competition was in April of 2000 in NJ. This was way before I was doing the magazines. I competed in a new class called “figure” that they described as “bikini” and I placed top 5. But, when I saw what they were looking for and that the top 3 girls were extremely muscular, I stopped doing it and continued to work in the mortgage industry. I didn’t want to be labeled as a fitness model.
Yes, I am a model and working on being a positive “role model.” I stay in this great shape year round only when I do competitions. And I get extra lean. Which no ones seems to like. Lol. So I found a happy place where I’m still tight, curvy and fit… I usually do 1 hr of cardio and then do about 1 to 2 hrs in the gym.
Our audience here at The Blemish is comprised of a lot of fans. Is there anything you would like to tell them to keep them active and excited to be Vida fans?
I just incorporated pilates into my workout which is extremely difficult. So, a little more about this pilates class?.. It?s created by Ky Evans called “KyLates”.. but DOES it work you out!!?.. It takes a lot for me to sweat and 5 mins into his class I’m sweating as if I was in a sauna.
We heard you were at the Los Angeles Fit Expo. Were you involved in a new product?
Yes, I was at the fit expo Jan 19/20 and launched my new product called VidaForce. It’s a pre-workout energy booster that has a fat burner in it.. it?s amazing! I have 3 different flavors. If you want more info on it go to vidaforce.com. I also have 2 new other products that are called Vidamins Daily Vitamins and VidaTrim. It’s a detox of gentle cleaners that basically cleans you out. It’s a waist trimmer that?s amazing. I have been using these products for the last few months and I am extremely happy with the results.

She?s been missing from the pop music scene since releasing Can?t Be Tamed back in 2010, and Miley Cyrus is poised to make a big return.
The ?Party in the USA? songstress recently signed a new record deal with RCA Records and she?ll release a brand new album in the coming months.
Miley gushed, "I wrote this song with Mary J. Blige, and Tyler, the Creator heard it and said, 'I am obsessed with this song, and I will guest on it if you promise me that you will keep it on the album.' And he killed it! I really didn't want to make a hip-hop record, and I'm not trying at all to be a Rihanna or a Nicki [Minaj]....That's not my vibe."
"When I was growing up, my older brother would sneak me Nelly CDs, my dad had me listening to Dolly [Parton] and Johnny [Cash], and my mom is a complete metal head. So this record is a weird mixture of all that."
As for her post-teenie bopper career, Cyrus explained, "I've never gotten to make a record like this because Disney's always been on my back saying, 'You've got to promote the TV show in two months, so make sure your record's done...and when you promote your record, can you promote the show, the movie and the Hannah Montana record?' I was basically carrying two people's careers and trying to make mine the priority. Now, it's almost like being a new artist and trying to make a first impression. I think the best thing I could have done was take those two years off to really live, because now people don't think of me as who I was on the TV show."

They’ve just finished Celebrity Big Brother (they came in second place), and I?m assuming they?re still in England to do some bottom-of-the-barrel paid interviews and photo-ops, considering very few people care enough about them to actually hate them or write about them? except for me, maybe. Spencer and Heidi have definitely been trying (and succeeding) to ?go away? for the past year ? Heidi made one big (paid) public appearance last year in Las Vegas and she gave a few interviews about her ?regrets? and how she wished she and Spencer had been smarter about their money.
Speaking of, just how much money did Spencer and Heidi make and how much of it was lost in crystal purchases, excessive bodyguards, crazy plastic surgery and Heidi?s sad attempt at a pop music career? Two years ago, they claimed there was barely any money left. And now they?ve given an interview (paid interview) claiming that they?re broke because they spent the last of their money before the Mayan apocalypse. For real.
Reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt frittered away their $10 million fortune because they believed the world would end in 2012.
In 2010, Pratt revealed the couple was broke and on the verge of bankruptcy, and they even gave up their luxury home and moved in with his father to save money.
He has now admitted they deliberately spent all their cash before December 21, 2012 ?the day the world was set to end, according to a prophesy based on the Mayan calendar.
He tells Britain?s OK! magazine, ?We made and spent at least 10 million dollars. The thing is, we heard that the planet was going to end in 2012. We thought, we have got to spend this money before the asteroid hits.
?Here?s some advice, definitely do not spend your money thinking asteroids are coming. But the world didn?t end.?
Opening up about his extravagant lifestyle, Pratt adds, ?I would give my friends $15,000 for their birthday. Just cash. I would buy people cars. Every valet I met got a couple of hundred pounds tip. I would pay people $200 just to open doors for us.?

I?m sure that this is just some BS. Like, I?m sure that Spencer and Heidi are pretty broke, absolutely, but I don?t think they?re broke because ?they spent all of their money because they thought the apocalypse was coming.? They spent all of their money because they?re incredibly stupid people with bad money-management skills? who may or may not have believed the Mayan apocalypse was real.

This is one of my peeves, but I understand how I have no right to claim this as one of my big celebrity issues like, say, bangs. I can?t speak about the subject of childbirth, I suppose, because I?ve never given birth and I probably never will (it?s not my priority, no judgment). But I get irritated by the Giseles of the world who can?t tell their own birth stories without giving me (and other women) waves of condescension and judgment. Like, I understand that Karolina Kurkova is probably just saying that natural childbirth was HER choice and it made sense for HER and everybody should do what they feel is right with their own bodies? but it doesn?t come across that way.
For Karolna Kurkov, there was no place like home to welcome her first child. Setting up a birthing suite in the comforts of her Tribeca apartment, the model mama admits her motivation behind her decision to deliver naturally was simple: childbirth is nothing new.
?Of course we had the midwife, we had the doula, but that?s something we really did a lot of research on and we wanted to do,? Kurkov, 28, tells Access Hollywood Live.
?We’ve been doing this for so many years… for centuries women have been giving birth naturally and I think your body adjusts to it and you get into a zone.?
Her active labor lasted 2 hours ? a process she calls ?quite quick? ? and, by keeping her concentration on seeing her son, little time was left to think of the pain.
?It?s not like, ?Oh my God, it?s a pain. I?m dying, I?m dying,?? the supermodel coach of The Face says. ?It was so gradual you just kind of deal with it. You get in a zone, you really focus.?
With her husband Archie Drury preparing ?green juice and coconut water? to keep his wife hydrated, it wasn?t long before Kurkov?s midwife let her know baby boy was on his way.
?I really wanted to do it in the water because it?s better for the baby to be born in the water ? from water to water ? and it?s less painful for the mom,? she explains of her decision to deliver in a birthing pool.
?When he?s born in the water, there?s still that umbilical cord so until you clip it they can still breathe through it. He was born in the water [then] we put him on my chest.?
Recalling the big day as an ?incredible experience? Kurkov will ?absolutely? do it all over again ? eventually. Until then, 3-year-old Tobin Jack has all his mama?s attention.
?I want to enjoy [Tobin] first and learn everything and really spend time with him,? she explains.

Granted, that wasn?t full-on Gisele, and I?m sure a lot of moms agree with her and want to do and have done childbirth the same way. But I find the whole ?women have been giving birth naturally and I think your body adjusts to it and you get into a zone? to be patronizing. Like, that was HER experience and every birth experience is different, and not every women wants to give birth in a tub in their own home and why is that a thing? Why do mothers judge other mothers about this?

These are some new photos of Robin Wright in NYC yesterday. In the candid pics, Robin was arriving in New York with her young lover, Ben Foster. I like that they?re holding hands in some of the pics ? he seems kind of protective of her, but not in ?get behind me, woman? kind of way. The other photos ? the red carpet pics ? are from last night?s premiere of Robin?s new film, House of Cards. Ben was not on her arm on the red carpet ? maybe they?re not at that place yet? I would love it if they walked a carpet together though.
Robin chopped her hair last year, if I remember correctly, but lately she?s been rocking an even shorter ?do. What are your thoughts? I?m kind of meh on it. I?m not a total short-hair hater, but I just think pixie cuts and full-on ?grown out buzz cuts? are particularly strong looks that not every woman can pull off. Robin comes close to pulling it off, and I?m sure she feels happy and comfortable with the short hair? but I remember how great she looked with longer hair. Right? This super-short hair emphasizes her more masculine features. It bugs me. I?m also bothered by the idea that ?women of a certain age? NEED to have shorter hair ? not every woman can or should rock this kind of hairstyle.
Meanwhile, Robin was in Washington DC a few days ago and she met with some of Pres. Obama?s staffers about the Congo:
Actress Robin Wright is hoping President Obama will do more to aid the peace process in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She went to the White House Tuesday to meet with officials from his National Security Council and push for a special presidential envoy.
Wright, who was married for 14 years to Sean Penn, told POLITICO she traveled to Eastern Congo last year and was struck by the corruption and violence.
“The minerals that come from the Congo are, shall we say, dirty — blood-diamond dirty,” Wright said. “I just feel it’s our duty to clean them up.”
On Tuesday she accompanied activists from World Pulse and the Enough Project to the White House, where they presented NSC officials with a petition with more than 100,000 signatures seeking the appointment of a presidential envoy.
“This moment is bringing the petition to the front lines, finally,” Wright said.

I didn?t know Robin was involved in the Congo issue ? that?s one of Ben Affleck?s big humanitarian issues too, isn?t it? Anyway, I like that she came to the White House with a set goal, a hard request and a major petition. Hopefully Pres. Obama will consider it!

While Chris Brown is being crucified like Jesus for punching Frank Ocean, Rihanna is talking to Rolling Stone about how she’s back with him aftergiving him another chance. She’s pretty sure this time he won’t punch her in the face.
“You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about shit. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.“
Well, that is until she goes through Brown’s cell phone again to see who he’s sexting. But she’s positive he won’t send her to the hospital this time because “he doesn’t have the luxury of fucking up again.” Wait what?”That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”
At this point, she’s right in saying “He made a mistake and he’s paid his dues.” Let her think whatever she wants. People keep telling her it’ll happen again but what do they know? They’re not Chris Brown or Rihanna. Let them figure it out for themselves. There’s only so much you can do before you let natural selection run its course.

While Lindsay Lohan was facing her legal issues in court, a new member of the Lohan family was being born across the country.
Michael Lohan's fiance Kate Major gave birth to Landon Major Lohan at 11:39 AM PT in a Florida hospital, according to TMZ.
Reportedly healthy, the baby boy weighed in at 7lbs, 5 oz. and measured 19 3/4 in. long. Lindsay's father was with Kate during the delivery and reportedly cut the umbilical cord. A representative shares that mommy and baby are doing great.
Meanwhile, LiLo narrowly avoided jail time again as she managed to appear in court today while the trial for her charge in lying to police was set for March 18th.

visited a friend in Studio City, California on Wednesday (January 30).
The "Party in the U.S.A." singer rocked a midriff-baring black top, leather jacket, and black pants as she gave a thumbs up to shutterbugs.
Recently, the 20-year-old songstress lashed out at the paparazzi while one tried to snap shots of her and fiance Liam Hemsworth as they walked their three dogs.
On Tuesday, Miley posted a video complaining about the harassment and the photog's parking in a handicapped parking space. She says in the video, "[HE] doesn't look very handicapped to me, yet if I park in a handicapped spot because of these people I get reported on the news. But no one cares about this criminal that's running through a children's neighborhood, driving outrageously while I'm with my three dogs."

As previously mentioned, Lindsay Lohan showed up for her day in court this morning with attorney Mark Heller in tow. You know things are off to a bad start when the judge mocks you by saying, “I’m glad to see you’re feeling better,” in reference to the “doctor’s note” your attorney presented.
Neither is it a good sign when your attorney tries to kiss ass by telling the judge how much he respects her because she was once a detective in NYC and is summarily shot down and told flattery would get him nowhere fast.
Regardless, Lindsay did not go to jail today. A new hearing is set for March 1 and Judge Sautner won’t be overseeing it because she’s retiring.
On another note, what is with that yokel face Lindsay is making up above. Jesus, is she having a stroke?
