Over the years, we havent done many posts on Emmy Rossum. Even though she was the only reason to watch Shameless, off camera she was somewhat non-existent to the public eye. Well, now that there is Instagram and I think she is done with Shameless, that has changed because here she is showing herself off []

Last season of Shameless sucked so bad, I didnt even know that the season finale was a season finale. When I read online that it was, I was like huh? Nothing happened! Anyway, I just watch it for Emmy Rossum. She is amazing. I just wish she would post more interesting stuff on social media, []

I will admit that when I first saw Emmy Rossum last night I thought she was wearing Carolina Herrera, as Herrera designed her wedding gown. This looks like Herrera in that it’s a classic strapless red carpet gown in a solid color. It’s Zac Posen though and I guess you can tell by the draping along the waist along with the slightly oval neckline. From far away, on screen, this gown looked like so many we’ve seen before but when you look at the details it’s lovely. Those lines of sequins are impressive close up and, coupled with Emmy’s styling and emerald accessories, the entire look is perfection. Emmy was there with her husband, Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail. This year their respective shows were only nominated in two categories so I’m glad that they still came. Emmy was a presenter.
Sarah Hyland was also in Zac Posen and this illustrated just how hit and miss his designs can be. This cutout orange-red tight number had a leaf pattern and just looked cheap to me. This is an MTV VMAs dress, not an Emmys gown. I like her new reddish haircolor and her styling is pretty, she just needs a more formal gown for this event. Something nice – the skirt isn’t bad, I just didn’t notice it during the red carpet coverage and got distracted by the cutout on her torso.
Susan Sarandon brought her Bernie Bro realness to the Emmys in navy Zac Posen with a frayed off the shoulder neckline. I can admire the work that went into this. Look at how perfectly the fabric is pieced along the bodice and down the sleeves, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that done with sleeves, but I just don’t like her. Her styling is somewhat boring. Sarandon was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Limited Series or Movie, for Bette and Joan, which went to Nicole Kidman.
Vanessa Bayer of Saturday Night Live was nominated for her first Emmy, for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Kate McKinnon took home that category, with SNL winning in several other major categories like Best Directing in a Comedy, Variety Sketch Series and Supporting Actor as well. (Chappelle and Melissa McCarthy won for best male and female guests in a comedy. I’m pretty sure they didn’t show that and just mentioned it when they hilariously presented together.) She had on a strapless floral gown which stood out in that almost no other actresses were in a floral print. The print was a little busy, but it’s still lovely and she elevated it by looking so happy to be there.

I know that Emmy Rossum is not controversial in the least, but that’s why I like her. She had what sounds like an amazing wedding to Sam Esmail the last weekend in May, but she didn’t hypermanage it (like I would have done) and she wore just one incredible dress, designed by Carolina Herrera. Her reception was at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, but she didn’t change out of her wedding dress to a reception dress and instead kept it low key and fun. Judging by the photos on social media, a good time was had by all. Now we have photos of the cake too, and it was a very simple tiered white wedding cake. I know that Emmy said that she designed her dress in conjunction with Herrera to mimic the clean architectural lines of the Guggenheim, and it looks like her cake was designed with that in mind too. Look at how they look at each other during their first dance, they are so in love.

Last night’s Met Gala was only the second time that a living designer was honored at the event. In 1983 it was Yves Saint Laurent and this year it was Rei Kawakubo, the founder of Comme des Garons. She’s known for fashion that’s like sculpture and which takes shapes and fabrics and transforms them into works of art. You can see a slideshow of her work on Vogue, and Kaiser covered the three gowns that were made by Kawakubo for the Met Gala, most notably Rihanna’s. So dresses which fit the theme should be bold, huge and unconventional.
Emmy Rossum slayed in black and white Carolina Herrera featuring black pants with a strapless bodice and a huge side bow. Her pulled back hair, bold earrings, and traditional makeup are just amazing and spot on. This was one of my favorite looks last night and it fits well with the theme, although it could be a little wackier. It’s just so elegant. Emmy has said that Carolina is designing her wedding gown, which makes her a lucky woman. She?s engaged to Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, who was her date last night. They?re so cute together. I really want them to have a big wedding and I want to see the photos, but I don’t know if that’s Rossum’s style.

Hailey Baldwin was also in Herrera, in a powder Pink crop top bustier with a high tiered skirt which she paired with a veil studded in rhinestones and an amazing chain choker. This isn?t my favorite gown but I love her moxie and it’s all right on theme. She stopped and spoke with the E! team on the red carpet and she just seemed excited to be there. Look at how the three layers of the skirt are just slightly different pale colors. Her styling is so striking and I really like this look.

Taylor Hill is a Victoria’s Secret angel and she somehow scored a Herrera gown instead of H&M or Topshop, which the other VS models were wearing. (Although both of those clothing chains did surprisingly well last night.) Her dress was a deep red strapless gown with a structured sweetheart bodice and a classic full skirt. Although it’s a gorgeous gown the only thing really unique about it are the little half cup sleeves which sit midway down her arms. It’s a lovely look but it’s not very daring.

Here is Emmy Rossum adding a bold dash of colour to her look when she also ventured out with a neon blue designer handbag worth thousands of dollars in Beverly Hills.
The saucy stunner certainly had reason to be in a good mood, for she accepted writer and director Sam Esmail?s proposal last month after two years of dating.
This is the second marriage for the Mystic River star, who was previously married to wealthy music executive Justin Siegel.
