Preparing for a long and demanding day, Jessica Alba dropped into a Beverly Hills coffee shop for a caffeine boost yesterday (July 1).
The always-stylish ?Good Luck Chuck? cutie donned a purple maxi dress with a black cardigan and black booties as she scurried back to her car, drink in hand.
Jessica recently talked about her own summer style with InStyle magazine- ?It?s appropriate, but playful. I like to wear whatever fits my mood. Sometimes I?m really feeling ?90s grunge, and I?ll wear my Doc Martens every day for a week, and that?s a certain look you?re going for. You have to commit to the Docs, and everything builds from there!?
As for how she assembles an ensemble, Alba noted, ?Usually my outfits do sort of revolve around the shoe. Then sometimes I feel like doing casual dress pants and a T-shirt and a blazer, and trying to be business-y. It?s all over the place, but it?s for sure appropriate for what?s happening. If I?m going to the office, it?s more appropriate for that environment, versus if I?m going to a tech conference or a press conference or hanging out on the weekend with the kids. It?s usually functional for that occasion.?
And Jessica certainly has some summer staples. ?I am for sure wearing Birkenstocks again. They are so comfortable. I?m not sure what to say about it. I?m not sure if it?s a good choice. Some of my friends think it?s the worst thing on the planet. And some of my other friends are down, so I?m not sure. I am committing to it, so that?s happening. And those Ancient Greek Sandals?I have a few pair of those, and I am for sure wearing those. And I have these white Vans. This trip, I built my entire going-to-the-airport outfits around my white Vans. I really do. If the two things, my bag and my shoes are white, then everything else can be colorful. It can be a mess as long as the bag and the shoes are white. There?s no better airport shoe as far as comfort goes.?

In an Instagram video posted Tuesday (July 1), the "High School Musical" hottie does a choreographed dance to the Lil Jon and DJ Snake tune with his buddies Gianluca Vacchi and Youseff Giga.
His pal Michelle Rodriguez even makes a brief cameo.
Gianluca posted the clip and wrote, "Enjoy the Autoironic dance Michelle , Z , Youssef , me... @mrodofficial @zacefron @youssefgiga."

She?s back in the USA after an extended stay in London and Lindsay Lohan was busy with some retail therapy in New York City on Tuesday (July 1).
The crimson-haired cutie texted on her iPhone as she strolled around SoHo, sporting a cream-colored dress with vintage sunglasses.
Perhaps Lindsay was communicating with her legal team, as she?s just filed a lawsuit against Grand Theft Auto for using her likeness in their latest video game.
According to the court documents, ?The portraits of the Plaintiff (Lohan) incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff's clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years.?
In the game, the LiLo character says, ?Can you give me a ride past them, PLEASE!? I'm hardly wearing any makeup. This is a disaster. I'm so f-----g fat. How's my hair? Do I look cute? I?m really famous. I didn't do anything. This is my commute!?

Kicking off the day with some important meetings, Heidi Klum stepped out of her New York City hotel on Tuesday (July 1).
Always smiling, the ?Project Runway? babe wore a white fedora with a black tank top and blu jeans with flip flops as she greeted fans and shutterbugs.
In real estate news, Heidi has listed her 12,300 square-foot mansion in Los Angeles for a whopping $25 million.
The eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom Mandeville Canyon estate ?has been given the Heidi makeover,? according to the listing. Klum previously told press, ?I honestly felt that I was no longer in Los Angeles and instead was strolling the gardens of a home in the south of France. By the time we finished [renovations], the house was as incredible as its grounds and views. Sometimes I sit in the garden, drinking my coffee, looking at the Pacific, and really feel it is a little piece of heaven.?

Victoria Beckham is doing double duty as the face of British Vogue?s August cover, as the title?s first subject to feature on two different covers of the same issue. Patrick Demarchelier shot Beckham for Vogue on location at an 18th-century rectory in Hastings, southeast England, with one cover depicting the designer against the backdrop of a leafy garden, wearing a Chanel coat and blouse, while the other pictures her cradling a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Digby, wearing a Prada dress and neckerchief.
British Vogue?s deputy editor Emily Sheffield interviewed Beckham for the accompanying story over the course of a few days, attending the grueling Barry?s Bootcamp workout in London with the designer, shopping for groceries with Beckham and on location at the Hastings shoot and at the Beckham family?s London home.
During the interview, the designer discusses turning 40 this year, saying: ?I looked at it and said to myself, ?I have four incredible children, an incredible husband, a business that?s doing very well. I?ve worked hard and achieved a lot. I don?t think I could have achieved much more.? I wouldn’t be where I am without David. He gives me the security and encouragement to do what I do. I do the same for him.?

Diane Kruger is one of those people we rarely cover because she’s very restrained in her public image. I admire her from afar and would love to look like her and cozy up to Joshua Jackson every night. There are occasional juicy blind items that point towards her private life, but I don’t put much stock into them.
Diane is raring up for the second season of The Bridge, in which she plays a detective with Asperger’s syndrome. She’s also the face of Mytheresa, so she’s given some fashion-type interviews. She did a video interview with Harper’s Bazaar where she raves about her favorite Stella McCartney dress (ack). Diane says, “I think most women dress for other women. It’s easy to please a man, the shorter the skirt and the sexier the dress, they will most likely approve of your outfit.” Do most women really dress for other women? That’s hard for me to relate to. Most of my friends are pretty casual, and working at home means I rarely dress up at all. What do you think?
Diane also did a cover story with the Sunday Times. She talks about a lot of stuff:
She & Joshua threw a bbq for 45 friends: “I didn?t hire any help. We cooked for two days, then had to clean up for two and a half days. We both love cooking, so we made everything from scratch. He smoked the ribs first for hours, and I baked the cake. It was endless, but fun. Well … you can?t spend your life drinking cocktails at the Chateau Marmont. I?ve come to accept that being still for a minute is actually a good thing, and yes, some of that comes from having a partner who gives me a strong sense of myself.” She says they love to “hike, and throw lots of parties for friends.”
The reality of Hollywood: “It?s a tough place, as glamorous as you think it is, and as ugly as you think it is. Everyone in LA is scared. Everyone is worried that if you don?t take this job, it?s over. I see it all the time: men and women who come here and are miserable. You have to have a strong sense of yourself away from it all. There?s a whole other side to me that nobody knows.”
Playing a detective with Asperger’s: “A lot of girls who have it are labelled cold or a bitch. That?s very telling of our society.” Coldness is rarely what it seems, I say. “Listen, I fight that every day. I think men can make comments or have strong opinions, and people will say they?re a genius or intense. Or smart. As women, we get labelled, ?Oh, she?s a bitch, she?s difficult.? And often, you?re just trying to get something done.”
Talk of kids with Joshua: Next, she?s making a French film — she tries to do one a year, so she can spend time in her house in Paris. Jackson is “doing a project” in Montauk, Long Island, so they will “probably spend the summer in New York.” “We don?t have kids yet,” she says, “but I assume that if we have some, travelling is going to be more difficult.” She says that LA is “great for younger kids, but for education, I think it would need to be Europe.”
Acting at age 37: “Most of us want to hide, we?re scared of being hurt, but you have to be ready to be open and vulnerable, and that can be exhilarating. Some people say, ?Oh no, I couldn?t do that, that?s too much.? I have never, ever felt that. There?s no limit to what you can do if you work hard enough for it.”

There’s plenty to digest in this interview. The part about being labelled “cold or a bitch” is interesting, not just in the context of The Bridge. Diane is a fashion girl and is often seen but not heard on the red carpet. Her classic, ice blonde looks also contribute to a “cold” look at times. I think Diane is terrifically glamourous, but her words tell me that she’s dealt with a lot of judgy sniping.
The part about Diane and Joshua throwing a huge barbeque party for their friends is kinda awesome. They both did everything and didn’t hire any help. I believe it. Diane is always papped at the grocery store. She buys a lot food for a person who says she forgets to eat. Here she is a few weeks ago with two separate grocery hauls, two days apart.

Today is Lindsay Lohan?s birthday. She?s 28 years old. Can you believe it? She made it to 28. She didn?t join The 27 Club. I?m sort of surprised, because there were some moments over the past six or seven years when I thought she would be short for this life. Happy birthday, Lindsay.
These are some photos of LL out and about in NYC yesterday. She was taking a ?stroll? according to the photo agency. From a distance, I was going to say that she looked okay, but? not so much. She?s lost some weight and she doesn?t look so puffy anymore, which I?m assuming means that she?s not drinking so heavily. Lindsay had been in London for months now ? I can?t even keep track, but I think she?s been in London since April. She must have come back to NYC for her birthday, so she could celebrate with Dina, Ali and her brothers. Maybe she?ll stay in NYC through the weekend ? the Fourth of July is more fun in New York?
I?m assuming she?ll be returning to London shortly though. After all, she has to ?rehearse? for her big role in the West End production – that will TOTALLY happen you guys ? of Speed-the-Plow. Lindsay will totally star in the production for eight shows a week starting September 24th. Totally. Why would you doubt her? Besides, Lindsay apparently loves it in London and she?s getting lots of TV offers and stuff. My guess is C-list reality show stuff, but hey ? a lot of C-list celebrities supplement their income with those shows.

I?ll fully admit that Katherine Heigl gives me a solid case of schadenfreude. I?m never happier than when she fails. It?s like Christmas for me that she?s finally given up on films and had to return to TV. However, I do not enjoy the fact that she?s come back to (lucrative) network television, or that her new TV show is like a fancy rip-off of Scandal mixed with Homeland. We?ll see if it works out ? but I suspect Heigl and her mom will find a way to ruin it. If they haven?t already. Anyway, Katherine talks about her career lows in this new Marie Claire UK cover story. The cover is terrible, right? They made her look like she?s had plastic surgery. Some highlights:
When her career faltered: ?The thing that was my best friend for a long time suddenly turned on me. And I didn’t expect it. I was taken by surprise and angry at it for betraying me.?
She thinks she did too many romantic comedies: ?I had an amazing time. I love romantic comedies. But maybe I hit it a little too hard. I couldn’t say no. I stopped challenging myself. It became a bit by rote and, as a creative person, that can wear you down. That was part of why I took that time off, to ask myself, ?What do I want? What am I looking for?? and shut down all the noise.?
She almost quit the business: ?Oh yeah, I had a moment where, I don’t know, I was thinking I’d maybe open a knitting store, get my money out of retirement accounts and live off that, live off the land. I had my moment where it all seemed so complicated and all I wanted to do was simplify.?
But she?s back: ?There’s a part of me that’s a Hollywood animal as well. I can’t wait to get into the writer’s room and see how we do this. I feel like I’m finally rolling into the next phase of my adulthood.?

First of all, I feel like Katherine really learned the wrong lessons from her career downward spiral. Granted, she has lousy taste in film projects but that?s what happens when an actor is just doing sh-t for the paycheck. The ultimate problem is the whole ?doing sh-t for a paycheck? thing though, not the lousy taste in projects. Plus, the quality of the projects Katherine was offered was probably on a steep decline after she became known as a pariah who would bad-mouth coworkers, writers and directors. And she and her mom were just known as ?difficult.? They still are known that way.
And here?s how I know that Katherine hasn?t changed one iota: ?I can’t wait to get into the writer’s room and see how we do this.? Katherine is not, say, Tina Fey or Mindy Kaling. Mindy and Tina were/are writers on their shows, they were writer/producer/actresses shepherding their shows through the process of network TV. Katherine is not a writer. She ALIENATES the writers on whatever show she?s on. No writer wants her in the writer?s room. No writer wants to hear her ?notes.? Heigl never changes. Her big return to TV is going to be such a mess, y?all.

Kim Kardashian has been tweeting and Instagramming a lot the past few days. You know why? Because Kanye West is on his Yeezus tour and I guess Kim has to film Keeping Up with the Kardashians, so she can?t be his road girl. Somehow, she managed to find the time to give a little mini-interview to Romy & the Bunnies. It made my eyes roll so far back, I think I can see my brain.
Dear Kim, what do you love the most about being a mother?
I love being a mom! It?s the most rewarding feeling! I really love every phase! Just the way my daughter laughs with me, all of the small things in life you appreciate!
What do you find the most challenging in being a mother?
I took a hiatus after I had the baby, and found it challenging to start working again because I didn?t want to spend any time away, but you adjust and prioritize, and just figure it out!
What is your favorite thing to do together with North? What would be for example a perfect day?
My absolute favorite thing is taking a nap with her. We cuddle and fall asleep holding each other
It?s my favorite time just snuggling with her.
What tip would you give to any busy working mom to balance career and motherhood?
It is an adjustment trying to balance a career and motherhood for sure, but the key is to prioritize.
You become more selective and work on projects that are so meaningful because you want every other waking moment spent with your family. You have to remember though to make time for yourself. If you feel good, you will be happy in your career and family life and everyone is happy!
One last question, we all love travel tips with a baby, it seems North already travelled the world, what is your main tip to make it as smooth as possible?
Jet lag can be tough to adjust to, especially for a baby. I think its important to travel with the necessities to make sure your baby gets a nap on the flight, and whenever necessary!

I wish there was some big, juicy breakup or hookup happening this holiday-ish week. But so far, no go. Instead we have Blake Lively talking about her hair. And her makeup. Neither of which is really Blake?s strong suit, you know? She has a great body, she has a nice smile and she has a very normal, girl-next-door appeal. But I?ve never looked at Blake and thought, ?Amazing hair? or ?stunning makeup.? Some highlights from Blake?s Hello interview:
Safety net hair: ?Honestly I am a shy person and my hair is a safety net for me, so I love to have it down and full and relaxed. Often you see people on the red carpet with tight-up dos, but that makes me feel stiff.?
Haircare: she simply applies a hair mask (she loves Kerastase Reflection Chroma Captive Hair Masque), doesn’t rinse it completely from the ends and then dries it until it’s slightly wet, pops it into a ballerina bun and lets it dry. She also loves to apply extra virgin coconut oil to the ends before shampooing.
She doesn?t wear much makeup: Blake also claims that she wears ‘very little make-up’ in her day-to-day life but cites fragrance as ‘essential’ because it evokes memories and emotions for her.
Eyelash glue: Another beauty trick she swears by is the power of eyelash glue, which she and her team use to stick her red carpet gowns to her skin to avoid any styling mishaps.
She loves to dress up: ?I’m not happy wearing sweats, because I love dressing up so much. I liken myself to a little girl having a tea party at the house all of the time. I actually dress up more in my home than I do walking down the street just because it is so much fun to play dress-up.?

Well, at least she admits that she?s not into makeup, although I do NOT believe that she?s a shy person. At all. I think she?s probably very, very confident. She?s the kind of woman who goes after what she wants, shows off her figure how she wants and sets attainable goals for herself, personally and professionally. I?m not saying she?s smug or anything, I just think she?s less of a shy wallflower and more of a driven, goal-oriented woman who has coldly assessed her best features and how to use them.
As for haircare? some days I feel like I?m literally the only woman in the world who washes her hair every day with a shampoo/conditioner 2-in-1 and lets her hair air dry will zero fuss. Is this how other women spend their time? You spend hours rubbing coconut oil in your ends before shampooing and leaving some kind of hair mask in?

Cameron Diaz covers the August issue of Esquire. You can see the cover here. Her body looks so tight, but I am not fond of the high-cut bikini look popularized lately by Miley Cyrus. At least this shoot was taken by Vincent Peters instead of Terry Richardson like Cameron’s 2013 Esquire cover. I hope Esquire is done with Terry for good, but he’ll probably be back.
Cameron is promoting her S*x Tape movie, which stars Cami and Jason Segal as a married couple who accidentally uploads their “footage” to the cloud. Cami has toned down her press presence a bit (thank goodness), so we’re not being assaulted by quotes about her vadge habits. She does talk once again about how she’s not going to have kids. Cam previously said that she’s “not a spinster” simply because she chose not to have children. It sucks that she has to confront that stereotype, but Cami comes out with all cylinders firing:
On her first full-on nude scene: “It?s a first for me. But Jason gets naked, too. It?s just a part of the role. So I did it. I mean you see everything.”
She’s lucky to be an actress: “It?s a weird job, right? [For S*x Tape] I found myself in a room in the middle of nowhere Massachusetts at 11:00 at night doing a childbirth scene, and everybody?s screaming at one another – Jason, the cameramen, the director. I love that Cameron comes out and says, “I don’t care anymore” at the end of her baby discussion. Not every woman constantly dreams of having babies. Take that, media. Will Cameron have to answer this question again? Probably.
Cameron is still dating Benji Madden, who recently confirmed their relationship in a radio interview. He says he’s “a lucky guy.” I’m including photos of Benji last week at the Best Little Cat House in LA. Our photo agency says he was buying a kitten for Cami. That’s a risky gift!

Kicking off the day with a dose of caffeine, Shia Labeouf hit up a local Los Angeles gas station for a cup of coffee on Tuesday morning (July 1).
The ?Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? hunk wore a Che Guevara shirt with distressed jeans as he scurried out of the convenience store and made his way to an Alcoholic Anonymous meeting.
In light of his high-profile arrest at the Broadway show ?Cabaret? last week, Shia?s career is in serious trouble, according to film critic Richard Roeper.
He told the Daily News, "If his career hasn't reached the tipping point, he's right there on the verge of it, where just the announcement that Shia Labeouf is in a movie is going to draw more snickers than, 'Oh I'm looking forward to it.'"
"If I'm a studio or I'm a producer and I'm writing the checks, I wouldn't cast LaBeouf right now. Because there are a lot of other talented young actors who show up on time, do a really good job and you don't have to worry about what they're going to do between the time you're yelling, 'Cut,' and the time you're yelling, 'Action,' the next morning. Why take that risk?"

She?s a busy girl with a plethora of projects in the pipeline and Victoria Justice caught a departing flight at LAX International Airport on Monday (June 30).
The ?Victorious? star was all smiles as she laughed with a few lucky fans inside the terminal, signing autographs and posing for pictures along the way.
While she rarely looks anything less than flawless these days, Victoria previously told E! News that she definitely has some regrets from the past.
Justice shared, "When I was about 12-years-old I insisted on wearing my hair with bangs swept to the side and a really unflattering side part. I look back at photos from that time and I cringe."
And she even confessed her guiltiest pleasure- ?That would have to be The Bachelorette. I didn't want to watch it at first, because I always get sucked in."
