On the same day that her husband of seven years filed for divorce, the country crooner agreed to a confidential settlement.“The [settlement] shall not be filed in this proceeding due to the parties mutual desire to maintain their respective rights to privacy,” the Los Angeles court records read.LeAnn and Dean will both be legally single as of June 19, 2010.

Rumored to be dealing with a little sibling rivalry, Kim Kardashian may not be getting her wish to be engaged to Reggie Bush this holiday season.
Tabloids reported that the E! reality beauty would’ve been getting a ring over Christmas, but sister Kourtney put an end to it.
One source says, “There’s always been underlying tension because Kourtney feels like she’s been playing second fiddle to Kim for so long. She was hoping that the last days of her pregnancy and the first few weeks with her newborn would be all about her.”
Adding, the source spilled, “Kourtney screamed at Reggie, ‘You can’t do this to me!’”
The insider continued, “Kourtney is extremely hormonal right now, and emotions got the best of her. Reggie was stunned and caught completely off-guard. Reggie doesn’t want to battle Kourtney, so he backed off to keep the peace.”
But that doesn’t mean there won’t be wedding bells anytime soon. “Now he’s planning on asking for Kim’s hand in marriage in early 2010, after Kourtney’s baby hubbub has died down.”

It’s no secret that love comes and goes quickly in Tinseltown, and Rachel McAdams may have found a new gentleman caller just in time for the holidays.
According to a report, the “Notebook” hottie has taken a special liking to Jude Law’s personal assistant Ben Jackson after meeting at the premiere of “Sherlock Holmes” last week.
This past weekend Rachel and Ben were spotted spending a ton of time together in New York City, hitting up book stores and looking very smitten.
Jackson used to be a model and could serve as a less-dramatic and therefore more stable mate for Miss McAdams.

I think this Parade interview with Sarah Jessica Parker might have been from this past weekend, but I just saw it and found it interesting. SJP is promoting that film that I?m not even going to name with Hugh Grant, and she sat down to talk about Hugh and her six-month-old twin girls. Shockingly, one of her twins is a ginger! I didn?t know that. SJP is so weird, you know? the way she describes her daughters, it just seems off somehow. She says: ?One of my daughters is round-headed and she has my complexion. She’s olive, she has big brown eyes and she is literally constantly looking around and reaching out. I mean, I don’t know how she manages to sleep. My other daughter is like my husband, Matthew. She is white-skinned with little blue bedroom eyes and red hair. She’s very serious and slightly withholding and aloof.? Maybe I?m being too analytical. But it?s weird to use words like ?round-headed? and ?bedroom eyes? and ?aloof? when describing babies, isn?t it?
If at first you don’t succeed.
“I think I remember auditioning to co-star with Hugh in Four Weddings and a Funeral. I think I did. I know I screen-tested for Nine Months. Of course, I didn’t get either. I have wanted to play opposite him in a romantic comedy for basically as long as Americans, especially women, have known and loved Hugh Grant.”
Finally, a lip-lock.
“I didn’t make any demands in terms of the interpersonal connecting of body parts. I just did what I was told by the director. But, every time I kissed Hugh, I told him I was doing it for America.”
Witness protection as marriage therapy.
“I think it would be a fine idea. Put people who are having trouble in their relationships in the witness protection program and send them to some far away place where they can maybe work things out. If they charged half the average hourly rate of a marriage counselor, I think the government could make a lot of money.”
She wasn’t home on the range in the Wild West.
“I didn’t enjoy attempting to milk a cow or ride a horse or shoot a rifle. I have other fantasies, none of which include milking a cow. The cow kicked me in the middle of the scene and they left it in. It’s right there for everyone to see. Actually, I sympathized with the cow. I didn’t belong there and she knew it. But, we both survived.”
No trouble sorting out her twin baby daughters.
“It’s sort of beyond description. It’s a very, very lucky, wonderful time in our lives that we have these two darling little girls and we’re very happy. They could not be more different. It is hilarious, one of my daughters is round-headed and she has my complexion. She’s olive, she has big brown eyes and she is literally constantly looking around and reaching out. I mean, I don’t know how she manages to sleep. My other daughter is like my husband, Matthew. She is white-skinned with little blue bedroom eyes and red hair. She’s very serious and slightly withholding and aloof.”
She feels for other working moms.
“I honestly think there are millions and millions of working mothers who have far more demanding days and the rewards are nowhere near what I’ve been given. They don’t have the kind of help that I have if I need it. I’m allowed to be a working mother because frankly, I can leave my child with someone I trust and love and a lot of mothers can’t do that.”
Which doesn’t mean she’s a laid back parent.
“I don’t think you worry less in general. I think I’m still woken in the middle of the night by some horrible thought that I’ve conjured in my brain. Every time there’s a visit to the pediatrician, I worry. Is everything all right? After my son was born, if he’d cry or something, I’d just walk up the stairs to his room. Now, I’m running up and down the stairs like a lunatic, barely holding on to the banister.”
Unlike Carrie Bradshaw, she’s fashion-challenged.
“If I’m not working, I’m really just wearing whatever is right to get out of the door. I take my son to school in the morning. When it’s freezing outside, I’ve got to convince him to put a hat on and boots on and he resists. By the time he’s dressed, I just have time to grab anything handy and run out the door. I also have two daughters in diapers who are drooling, teething and spitting up. You don’t want a designer outfit in that situation. So you just wear what’s appropriate to be a mother.”
Could there be a Sex and the City five, or maybe six?
“Oh good God, we’d come in with walkers. Oh, I hope not, for all of America’s sake. I mean, we’re lucky to have been able to manage to run around in heels on the sequel. So we’ll see what the future holds, but this one has been really fun.”

Well, at least she admits that she has a lot of help with the kids. She?s gotten slammed pretty hard for going to work on the second SATC film just weeks after the twin girls were delivered. While I normally could care less about judging any working mother, the SJP situation felt weird because she?s an executive producer on the SATC films, and she could have easily pushed back filming so she could spend more time with the newborns.
I also feel like she?s being kind of weird about the twins too, and not just in this interview. She told Letterman that the girls ?are physically, intellectually spiritually, geographically, politically, ideologically and religiously as different as two small 6-month olds could be.? Maybe she?s just strange, or trying too hard to be a sort of cultivated eccentric. This is, after all, the woman who loves the smell of wet, warm diapers. And she?s the same woman who said ?It has taken me three years to decide on the scent [of my perfume] because I really like BO and I think it’s sexy. I wanted to figure out a way to make it palatable to everybody. I was like, ‘How do you get BO in a bottle and make an atomizer of it?’ Then it was all about trying to capture the sense of naughtiness in a bottle that it would be good for a man and a woman.” So yeah. She?s just weird.

Adding fragrances to her list, the talented Eva Longoria couldn’t stand wearing other peoples’ perfumes, so she and L’Oreal made a solution to the problem – creating a scent called Eva by Eva.
“I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear,” she says. “So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”
The Desperate Housewives star took a big part in the making of the smell, turning down many combinations before deciding on a mix of citrus, violet, freesia and sandalwood .
“I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn’t already been done. But I enjoyed the process,” she explains.
The perfume comes in a shapely bottle that is meant to represent womanly curves and will be available in more than 1,000 stores in April for $45-$58. The company plans to make additional fragrances with Eva in the future.

The movie is directed by Jake Sumner, son of famous musician Sting, and had Ricci playing four different personalities who convene together at the end.
“I didn’t want it to feel like advertising,” Sumner said. “I wanted it to feel like something that could be viewed in itself, but using the aesthetic of Donna Karan. There’s a thin line between very unsubtle advertising and doing something that stands alone and has its integrity.”

Bringing an end to their off-screen romance, Jamie Lynn Sigler and Jerry Ferrara have opted to call it quits after dating for just over a year.
The pair, who co-star as a couple on the hit HBO series “Entourage,” were first linked as an item back in October of 2008.
Obviously unable to make things work, Miss Sigler has recently been spotted keeping busy sans Ferrara, as a source tells the NY Daily News of a red carpet sighting, “She came with a few girlfriends, and they drank wine all night. They looked like they were having a good time.”
Prior to the parting of ways, Jamie-Lynn told press, “[Jerry Ferrara] is a very special person, and I’ll leave it there. I’m not a good dater. It takes a lot for me to even want to kiss someone. I have to have a connection, and those are rare for me.”

There?s not really any reason for this story, I was just happy to see Renee Zellwger and her boyfriend Bradley Cooper in the same frame. These photos are from yesterday - Bradley and Renee were leaving a movie theatre and dodging the paparazzi. Of course, Renee is doing most of the dodging, while Bradley looks totally over it. Is it just me, or do these two look like they have zero physical chemistry together? Maybe theirs is an intellectual love affair. Which, you know, isn?t the worst thing. Now, the Bradley-Cooper-is-gay rumors have been going around forever. My favorite variation on them is ?Bradley is gay with Victor Garbor.? Think about that one for a while? doesn?t it seem like Bradley and Garbor would have a lot of physical chemistry together? Anyway, I?m not sure I believe the gay rumors. I think they?re a lot more likely for Bradley than Jake Gyllenhaal, but I?m not totally convinced. Sometimes Bradley beeps on my gaydar, sometimes he just seems? Going through a public divorce, Deane Sheremet filed for divorce last week from LeAnn Rimes and they also agreed to a confidential divorce settlement.
The Los Angeles court document read: “The [settlement] shall not be filed in this proceeding due to the parties mutual desire to maintain their respective rights to privacy.”
The settlement also splits the couple’s cash, property and other belongings.
Singer Rimes, and Sheremet, will be legally single as soon as June 19, 2010. They were married for eight years, until Rimes had an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian, who was also married at the time with Brandi Glanville. Glanville and Cibrian are also go through a divorce.

In 2006, there was a lot of buzz over the fact that private investigator Anthony Pellicano was facing charges on federal racketeering and wiretapping charges. Pellicano represented high profile celebrity clients like Michael Jackson, O.J. Simpson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. He also did work for Tom Cruise during his divorce from Nicole Kidman, allegedly tapping Kidman’s phones like all of his other targets. People wondered if we were about to hear the sordid details in the Cruise/Kidman divorce, but the most salacious details we heard during Pellicano’s 2008 trial involved comedian Chris Rock and a fake rape charge. (I truly believe that charge was false, you can read more about it in these two stories.)
Pellicano regularly scammed celebrities by planting stories in the tabloids and then contacting the celebrities directly to offer his services at a steep fee. He had contacts in the police and phone departments who helped him run illegal wiretaps and background searches. In 2008, he was convicted of wiretapping and conspiracy to commit wiretapping and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Tom Cruise, his lawyer Betram Fields, and Anthony Pellicano are now being sued by a magazine editor who claims his phone was illegally tapped by Pellicano at Cruise’s request. The former editor of Bold Magazine, Michael Davis Sapir, claimed in 2001 that he had a tape of Tom Cruise engaged in some same-sex lovin. (I don’t think the gay rumors have much merit, although I initially believed them. I think Pellicano duped Cruise with earlier gay rumors so he would hire him. You can read these three stories in order for background, with attention to the last update on the last story.)
Cruise sued the editor and they settled for an undisclosed amount, with Sapir stating that the tape never existed. Cruise also allegedly hired Anthony Pellicano to run some counter intelligence on Sapir. Now Sapir is suing back for the alleged surveillance. He wants $5 million, or $5,000 for each one of the 1,000-something conversations he claims were taped without his knowledge.
Anthony Pellicano’s misdeeds are the gift that keeps on giving to the Hollywood elite.
Tom Cruise is the latest?and biggest?name to be sucked into the fray. The star was sued Friday for $5 million by a real mensch who claims that he was spied on by Cruise and his attorney with the help of Pellicano, years before the celebrity detective was convicted of numerous counts of racketeering, wiretapping and other abuses of P.I. power.
The reason the plaintiff believes he was targeted: his ultimately discredited claim that he had a tape of Cruise engaged in some same-sex action.
Michael Davis Sapir, the former editor of Bold magazine, was tagged in a $100 million defamation suit in June 2001 by the Mission: Impossible star over the alleged video, which Bold says it got a hold of after pubbing a $500,000 reward offer for “videotape evidence that Cruise was gay.”
The case was settled that November for an undisclosed amount, with both parties stating that Cruise was not on any tape in Bold’s possession.
But now Sapir claims that Pellicano, acting on orders from Cruise and his major-player attorney, Bert Fields, wiretapped his phone while the suit was still active.
His allegations include invasion of privacy, disclosure of confidential information and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

I read through the lawsuit (on E! Online and TMZ) and the best detail is the password that Pellicano allegedly used to access the encrypted digital recordings of Sapir, which were kept on an iMac: “Bold c*cksucker omerta.”
I love how Cruise’s heavy-handed ways just keep coming back to remind us about the gay rumors. After digging into the allegations a few years ago, I really don’t think Cruise is gay or that he had gay encounters. Pellicano probably set Cruise up with fake gay allegations so he could secure his business, as he often did with his clients. Cruise’s lawyer Fields denies hiring Pellicano for this case, though, and says “We did not even hire Pellicano to work on the Sapir case.” The lawsuit claims a file was found by the FBI in Pellicano’s office called “Michael Davis,” however. I wouldn’t doubt that Cruise hired Pellicano and went for the jugular. If he didn’t, he probably sicced some Scientology goons on the case. I’d love to see Cruise pony up a million or two for Sapir’s trouble.

Brothers actress Natalie Portman has revealed she couldn’t have become a Hollywood actress if she hadn’t had the support of her family.
The notoriously private star - who landed her first major screen role in thriller Leon aged 13 - said it helped being an only child as her parents could devote their time to taking her to auditions.
The 28-year-old revealed: “I had the sole attention of my parents. And you know what? If I had had brothers or sisters I would have never become an actress.
“My mother has accompanied me to every audition and every acting class. With more children that would have never been possible. They would have been jealous of me.?
Natalie insists the unwavering support of her mother Shelley and father Avner meant she wouldn?t go off the rails when she achieved Hollywood success.
She added to a German magazine: “Family and friends have always been there for me - this is very important because in Hollywood it goes up and down.
“One day you are celebrated, the next day they just bully you. That?s quite exhausting for the psyche!”
Natalie also believes her time at Harvard College has helped her become a better actress.
The ?Brothers? star ? who studied at the prestigious university while she was shooting the ?Star Wars? prequels - said: “It simply was the best acting school!
“I learned to observe people, assess situations ? since I?ve been there I can do it a lot better. You learn excellent skills to put yourself in a film character.?

Don?t get me wrong, I understand how Hollywood chews up and spits out young women (and men) every day, but it?s weird for Natalie to act like she?s been a victim of it too, right? The “Touch My Body” songstress and her handsome hubby stopped into the Gucci store to pick up a few items before emerging with big smiles on their faces.
Unfortunately, Mariah’s latest album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel hasn’t done so hot sales-wise (344,000 copies so far) so she’s kicking off the Angels Advocate tour on New Year’s Eve as a remedy.
Ms. Carey will play December 31st at Madison Square Garden before playing 18 more cities, ending out the run in Las Vegas on February 27th.

Back in 2001, Tom Cruise sued Michael Davis Sapir for claiming to have a video of the star in a homosexual situation. And now Sapir is suing Cruise for spying on him.
According to a report, Sapir is taking the “Vanilla Sky” stud as well as his attorney Burt Fields and private investigator Anthony Pellicano to court, claiming the trio conspired to spy on him.
The root of the $5 million lawsuit is that Pellicano supposedly illegally wiretapped Sapir’s phone during the 2001 court case.

As new details emerge surrounding the tragic death of Brittany Murphy, it has been discovered that her mother Sharon and husband Simon Monjack made a desperate attempt to revive her prior to the arrival of paramedics, according to the coroner’s report.
On Sunday morning (December 20) around 7:30am the “Clueless” actress went to the bathroom and shut the door. Around 8am her mother opened the door to check on her and found Murphy’s body on the floor.
From there, Sharon yelled to Simon who put the late actress’ body in the shower and ran cold water on her in an attempt to revive her.
The coroner’s report also stated, “A check of the nightstands revealed large amounts of prescription medication in the decedent’s name. Also noted were numerous empty prescription medication bottles in the decedent’s husband’s name, the decedent’s mother’s name and unidentified third party names.”
Of those medications found at the scene, most were either for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, pain, and heart health.
