Feeling quite well about herself after dropping another top-selling single, Britney Spears was back out for another day's work in Los Angeles on Thursday (January 13).
Clad in a cute striped top, skinny jeans and high heels, the "Gimme More" crooner eased her way into a local recording studio to continue putting the final touches on her upcoming album.
As for her chart-topping release, the Spears camp continues to offer their thanks to fans who purchased Brit's single "Hold It Against Me".
Most recently, Spears' manager posted an image of the "Hold It Against Me" iTunes icon in the top slot in multiple countries while tweeting, "This is absolutely incredible! Brit's fans never cease to amaze me. #HIAM http://bit.ly/dHzywe -Adam Leber, Manager"

Known for her passion for charitable endeavors, Angelina Jolie was busy discussing the work of SOS Children's Villages in Los Angeles, California earlier this week.
The "Wanted actress, who's a long-time supporter of SOS Children's Villages, made the announcement that she's chosen Nathalie Nozile to be the first Jolie Legal Fellow.
Set to do good in a mission to protect the vulnerable children of Haiti, Jolie told press, "I am thrilled that Nathalie Nozile will be our first legal fellow in Haiti ? where the need to enhance child protection is so great.?
Angelina continued, ?Nathalie has a heartfelt commitment to improve conditions in her homeland, and brings to her work the unique perspective of growing up in an SOS Village. There, she learned firsthand the importance to a childhood of a stable and nurturing environment. Now, as a promising attorney, she will draw on her personal experience as she returns to help strengthen the Haitian judicial system.?
The 35-year-old actress finished by saying, ?Nathalie Nozile is a force?just wait and see. She will be doing many great things. She represents the best of Haiti. She is an extraordinary example. I am proud to know her and extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with her.?

Between her career and family, Gwyneth Paltrow has a hard time figuring out which way is up, and she?s sharing her crazy life in her new GOOP newsletter.
The ?Country Strong? actress wrote about the goings on in her life back on November 4th, 2010 - a day she described as especially challenging.
Gwyneth shared, "Got Apple all fed and dressed in her uniform and ready to go but no sign nor sight of Moses at 8 am and we have to be out of the house by 8:20. I went up to arouse the little man from slumber and he quite happily got up and crawled into my arms. We got downstairs and I made him a quick breakfast of eggs and toast followed by a spoonful of lemon flavored flax oil that I try to remember to give them both every morning."
Later on, Ms. Paltrow had to do some work on her wardrobe. "We tried on a myriad of dresses and outfits, and I had b.o. by the end of it from wrestling with all of those dresses."
Finally at night, she got to relax with some friends. "I rushed downstairs to grab a blazer and some blush and flung myself in the car for girls night. Lovely dinner and great conversation. 11:29 pm now, exhausted and ready to do it all again tomorrow!"

The latest ill-though story claimed that Bullock's behavior has irked Ryan's ex-wife, Scarlett Johansson.
Denying any such situation, a source close to Miss Johansson told Gossip Cop that "the two actresses have been friends for a long time, even lunching together with Drew Barrymore in Austin two days before New Year?s Eve."

Previously announced for the annual football extravaganza were the Black Eyed Peas, who have the honor of taking the stage for the halftime show.

Well, it looks like Angelina and Brad have done more than simply donate to and visit SOS Children?s Villages around the world - they also set up a fellowship for potential law school graduates who have grown up in a Village. (January 12, 2011): SOS Children?s Villages, a global organization dedicated to providing family-based services for children without parental care, today announced that Nathalie Nozile, an alumna of the SOS Children?s Villages in Santo, Haiti, has been selected as the first Jolie Legal Fellow. Ms. Nozile was selected after graduating from the University of Florida?s Levin College of Law this past spring. The Jolie Legal Fellowship, created and funded by the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, supports the Government of Haiti?s ongoing efforts to strengthen the Haitian judicial system in the challenging post-earthquake environment. SOS is also providing emergency food supplies to 14,000 Haitians daily and will begin construction of a third Haitian Children?s Village in Les Cayes later in 2011.

Katie Holmes has scored a new gig as the face of the classic American brand Ann Taylor. Holmes will appear in the brand’s spring 2011 ads, set to debut in March.
“We are thrilled to have Katie as the face of Ann Taylor,” the company’s president, Christine Beauchamp, said in a statement. “Katie personifies the Ann Taylor brand — smart, talented, incredibly chic, and living a full life with beauty and grace. Making for quite the change in roles, Jennifer Grey partook in an interview at the hands of her daughter Stella for the February 2011 issue of Redbook.
The "Dancing with the Stars" champ and her 9-year-old went back and forth about topics such as DWTS and the chances of her becoming a backup dancer for the installment hitting newsstands on January 18th.
Highlights from Jennifer and Stella's Redbook interview are as follows:
Stella: After you won Dancing With the Stars, did you feel like you wanted to do it again or that you never wanted to do it again?
Jennifer: I felt like I never wanted to do it again. I knew when I won that it was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and I wanted to hold on to that. You gave me amazing advice during the entire 10 weeks.
Stella: What did I tell you when you would come home and weren't feeling so good?
Jennifer: You would say, "Would you come lie with me or watch a movie with me?" And even when I'd have to go to a rehearsal and not be able to be with you, you always said, "It's okay, Mom. I'm going to be here in three weeks when it's all over, but you're never going to have a chance like this again."
Stella: If you could be a backup dancer in any music video right now, who would it be for?
Jennifer: Hmm, maybe Lady Gaga. That's the one you'd probably like me to be in, right?
Stella: My favorite part of all was just being with you alone together. You can be an actress and a dancer and a great, funny, messy, nature-camping mom. What was the best thing about winning DWTS?
Jennifer: I don't think I ever once actually thought I could win. The best feeling about having won was knowing that I hadn't quit even though it was incredibly hard. I learned that no one can tell me that I'm too old or it's too late for me to do something.

She?s never been known for her gracious disposition, and Taylor Momsen's derogatory comments about her parents last year may have landed her in hot water.
The ?Gossip Girl? actress told Kerrang magazine that her interview with Revolver back in November was taken out of context.
Momsen explained, "I love my mom and dad. Maybe I didn't have the childhood people think you should have, but I still went through the ages. I was still a child. Maybe it wasn't a conventional one, but you know... I like where I am now, so it's OK. I think my parents have learned by this point that none of [what they read] is probably true, and words can be put in your mouth."
"I don't own a computer, so the most I see is when people tell me about it. I just ignore it and try to live my own life. [Fame] is just high school on a massive, massive scale. So I ignore what people say and focus on my music and doing what I do."
In November, Taylor lamented, "My parents signed me up with Ford [Modeling] at the age of 2. No 2-year-old wants to be working, but I had no choice. My whole life, I was in and out of school. I didn't have friends. I was working constantly and I didn't have a real life."

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough have been dating for less than a year, but sources close to the couple have revealed that the American Idol host has already picked out an engagement ring and is preparing to propose.
“Ryan already has the ring — and it’s a rock — four to five carats,” one source confirmed to RadarOnline.com. “Money was no object for Ryan… expect the Rolls Royce of engagement rings. He’s had it for awhile and is in the process of planning the engagement. It’s going to happen within the next few months or so!”
Seacrest, who met the dancer turned actress early last summer, dismissed rumors he popped the question over the holidays.
“I’m not engaged,” he told People, but added “I’m very happy.”
Another source close to Seacrest played coy when asked to confirm or deny the upcoming engagement.
“If Ryan was planning to propose, why would I spoil the whole surprise for him?” the insider said, but gushed about how in love the couple are. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like this over a girl before, ever… they fit together so perfectly. All his family adore her too, and I know his mom would be really happy to see him settle down with Julianne and work on giving her some grandchildren!”

Beyond the ?you?re wearing a smocked cotton summer dress in January? issue, there is also an issue of? cheapness. This looks like it came from Target. The discount rack at Target. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing something from Target, you know this dress probably costs hundreds of dollars. And that?s the problem. A $500 cotton, smocked, designer summer dress that looks like it came from a Target discount rack. Ugh. She really needs a new stylist.

Since when is being more try-hard than Lady Gaga ?high fashion? enough for Vogue? Oh, right. Anna Wintour is an idiot. That?s how. This week?s Goop newsletter is a classic! Gwyneth Paltrow is so stuck up her own ass, it?s not even funny, and CB and I have been emailing back and forth about our favorite part - Gwyneth Paltrow name-dropping her very best dear friend, her personal FISHMONGER. I mean? you really can?t make this up. Anyway, after last week?s Goop newsletter about how she was constipated (yet again), this week?s piece is done as a ?Day In The Life Of The Goop?. Goopy writes down everything she did on the day of November 4th. It?s EPIC. The full piece is here, but I edited the whole thing here to make it more readable:
When I got downstairs this morning at the crack of whenever, the coffee machine said ?ERROR 8? and wouldn?t let me make the cup I had been dreaming about. This begs the question: is it odd to dream yourself to sleep thinking about the next morning?s coffee? Not a good beginning.
Got Apple all fed and dressed in her uniform and ready to go but no sign nor sight of Moses at 8 am and we have to be out of the house by 8:20. I went up to arouse the little man from slumber and he quite happily got up and crawled into my arms.
We got downstairs and I made him a quick breakfast of eggs and toast followed by a spoonful of lemon flavored flax oil that I try to remember to give them both every morning. Getting everyone into the car on time was a challenge; we?re going through a phase where no one seems to be responding to me (?Time to put on your shoes? ? No response.)
It is the school Christmas toy drive deadline today so before jumping into the car, we pack up and finish decorating the shoe boxes with toys, toothbrushes, hats, scarves, books, etc, for the school Christmas toy drive. Once the kids really understand that the toys go to children around the world who will not be as fortunate as they are this year, they very sweetly take trips to the playroom adding their own toys and books to the boxes.
Somehow managed to get to school just as the old-fashioned bell rang. Moses was a bit teary today so I hung around and watched him through the window. Periodically he would check to make sure I was still there.
When all was well I dodged off as fast as possible but was still late to the 9 am workout. Did dance aerobics for 45 minutes then all of the butt lifts and the like. Rushed upstairs to have a shower, doing my post workout stretch while the conditioner was doing its magic on my hair to combine activities/save time. Dressed quickly and rushed downstairs.
On a less manic day, this would be my couple of hours in the office to work on GOOP, come up with ideas, write/edit and go over scheduling, travel, whatever else I have going but I have no time so I just pop the old cabeza in to see if there are any deadlines or fires that need putting out. When I am given the all clear I rush out the door, headed to rehearse with a band to prepare for the Country Music Awards which are just a week away. I?ve never performed live before so I?m preparing for this as if it were the Superbowl, which, in it?s own way, it is. I?ve been having voice lessons with my teacher, Carrie Grant, every day and rehearsing with an amazing London-based band. This will be my fourth and shortest rehearsal of the week, as the day is so full, but I am excited to get in there and see everyone. Had to do my vocal exercises/warmups in the car, sooo not a good look. Fellow drivers looked on a bit bewildered.
Rehearsed with the band from 11:30 to 12:30 and then scooted back out to the car and had kind of a big interview on the phone while trying to subtly check/reply to well-overdue email. Got home and had a fitting with super stylist Elizabeth Saltzman for the upcoming Nashville trip (what to wear, what to wear?) from 1-2. This is my 4th out of 5 fittings for this trip. We tried on a myriad of dresses and outfits, and I had b.o. by the end of it from wrestling with all of those dresses. I have six looks I need to choose for the trip; there?s the radio press conference upon arrival, the red carpet for the Country Strong premier, press interviews, a Sony Music VIP dinner, the red carpet for the CMA?s and the outfit for my performance!
Thursday is the one day of the week that I do not pick my kids up after school. They go straight to an activity and I am able to really maximize work stuff. I always feel a bit guilty (obviously) about it, but it means I can focus fully on them when they get home instead of trying to do two things at once.
At 4pm, my weekly owners’ and managers’ call takes place for the Tracy Anderson Method with our brilliant CEO Stephanie Stahl taking the lead. I basically listen and try to learn. Kiddies burst through the door and play in my office while I finish up, just drawing and hanging out and of course playing Plants vs Zombies on the iPad, their obsession that I have to limit like crazy! What up, gamers.
Then downstairs to make cupcakes for tomorrow?s bake sale. It is ?Bonfire night? in the UK tomorrow and the bake sale is to celebrate and to raise money for charity. We decide on vanilla cupcakes with Pink icing and green icing (from Tate?s Bakeshop cookbook with the icing from American Desserts cookbook). At 6:30 pm we all get in the bath and it?s hair washing night for the kids (every other night?never popular). Then back downstairs to check on cupcakes and have a visit from an auntie and uncle. The kids indulge in a super sugary cupcake before bed but I don?t feel too bad because they had a brown rice stir fry for dinner with baked sweet potato on the side. It?s all about balance! My night to lay with Mosey so I tuck Apple in, say a prayer and go into Mosey’s room for a story, foot massage and quiet time. As soon as all was quiet, I rushed downstairs to grab a blazer and some blush and flung myself in the car for girls night. Lovely dinner and great conversation. 11:29 pm now, exhausted and ready to do it all again tomorrow!
Gwyneth?s time saving tips:
1. Schedule your time well. When I know what I am doing from hour to hour I get more done. Write it all in the day?s calendar, what you want to accomplish and in what time frame.
2. Focus on the task at hand. Be thorough.
3. I cook a lot, especially on the weekends, so I like to plan a rough menu for the whole weekend and get the food in on Friday. Obviously stores and websites that deliver make this a dream. In London I use Ocado. Also James Knight, my favorite fishmonger, will deliver. Having all of the ingredients means I’m prepared even when I don’t think I am.
4. I always lay the kids uniforms and school things out the night before once they are asleep. When it?s quiet I can check the “kid list” for show and tell items to bring in, consent forms, ballet kit, etc, so that the morning is less of a scramble.
5. The school run is a great time to return calls (in whichever direction that the kids are not in the car) so don’t forget your hands-free device.

A few points. ?James Knight, my favorite fishmonger? is CLASSIC GWYNETH. Of course she has a FAVORITE fishmonger. She knows so many fishmongers, and she has to be choosy and elitist and pick a FAVORITE. Also: ?On a less manic day, this would be my couple of hours in the office to work on GOOP? - she has an office. Where she works on Goop. Like it?s a real job. Like it?s a career choice. “What do you want to do when you grow up, Timmy?” “I want to work at GOOP!”
But I will give her some credit, she sounds like a great, super-involved mom. Kudos to her for that. It wouldn?t be possible without her FAVORITE fishmonger, though.

Well, it looks like the random reports just before Christmas were true - Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend have broken up after more than five years together. Looks like that British sourcing (Richard Kay) was right on, like I said. Also? is this why Keira seems to squirrelly lately? Probably. Or it could be something else entirely. Anyway, Keira?s dad confirmed the sad news of the breakup to media outlets:
MOVIE beauty Keira Knightley has split from her actor love RUPERT FRIEND after five years. The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 25, was left heartbroken even though the decision to end the relationship was mutual.
Keira’s father Will Knightley said: “Yes, they have broken up. But that’s the way things go, unfortunately. The only option is to get on with things.”
Mr Knightley added at the family home in Richmond, South West London: “They were together for quite a long time and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work.”
Keira met Rupert, 29, in 2005 on a screen adaptation of classic story Pride and Prejudice.
She became the most bankable British actress in America with Oscar and BAFTA nominations, a modelling contract with Chanel and an estimated 30million fortune.
But the pressure of being constantly in the public eye finally took its toll on the couple. Cracks started to appear in mid-December. Rupert arrived without Keira at the London Coliseum gala production of The Nutcracker. He took his mother Caroline instead.
The couple split after a heart-to-heart before Christmas. They had seemed to have a fairytale relationship with a London home overlooking Hyde Park.
But a pal said: “Rupert hates the idea of being followed and photographed. Keira partially had to accept it because of her rising profile. It affected the harmony in the relationship. The pressure took its toll and both decided they should go their separate ways. They will remain life-long friends.”
Keira has theatre work and two movies planned.

Yeah, Rupert has been getting more and more work lately, and he?s becoming an in-demand actor in his own right. But I doubt competition for the public?s attention is the reason for the split - obviously, Keira doesn?t care about it. She?s surly about getting any attention whatsoever. Which makes it very strange that her dad was the one to talk to the press - was he selling her out (doubtful) or did she authorize him to speak on her behalf? Why? Why couldn?t Keira?s publicist just offer a brief confirmation of the split and be done with it? I get that Keira ?hates? the press, but if she wants to be ignored, perhaps she could manage this stuff a bit better.

Last night was the LA premiere of the fifth season of HBO?s Big Love. All of the stars were in attendance, including Chloe Sevigny, fresh from her Miami bikini-thon. As we saw from those Miami bikini photos, Chloe?s body is much better than many of us were expecting. But Chloe in all of her hipster fashion glory is quite another thing - the chick is a hot mess. Chloe wore Rodarte to last night?s premiere and? um, this is not a good look. It would be a difficult dress for someone like Halle Berry to pull off, but on Chloe? Jesus. Part of it is the way she?s posing for photos? and the lipstick. And her expression. I mean?she just doesn?t look right in the head, as we say in South.
I did love Ginnifer Goodwin?s pretty Pink Valentino, though. She brought her fianc Joey Kern too - so these are like the first photos of the couple since they announced their engagement. Like, a formal engagement photo shoot. They look really nice (although I still think he has serial killer eyes).

Adding a little more flavor to an already action-packed lineup, Katy Perry has been announced as a performer at the 2011 Grammy Awards.
According to ET, the "Firework" singer will be taking the stage at the Staples Center along with being nominated for four trophies including Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Album of the Year.
Meanwhile, Eminem topped the nominations with 10 while Bruno Mars earned seven. Other top hopefuls include Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum, and Lady Gaga with six noms each.
Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy, said, "This year's nominations are a true reflection of an exceptional and talented community of music makers that embody some of the highest levels of excellence and artistry in their respective fields. It is most gratifying to see the GRAMMY Awards process once again produce a broad cross section of diverse and impressive nominees across multiple genres. Coupled with the third year of our primetime nominations special, the road to Music's Biggest Night, the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards in February, is off to an exciting start."

I like Jennifer Garner. She isn’t an attention whore like so many are, she seems like an attentive mom, she seems to try to live her life as quietly as possible. I also think that most of the time she looks pretty. But damn does she look weird here. I never noticed how much of a fivehead she has. It almost looks like her face is oversized for the rest of her body. Poor, poor Jen.
