A week ago, Selena Gomez issued a statement canceling the rest of her tour in order to spend time on herself. I figured she just wanted to bang Lil Romeo. Popdust is reporting that it goes a little deeper than that and that Selena took time off to deal with her Lupus.
Sources say she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease a couple years ago and that it had recently begun to flare up. Symptoms of the disease include facial swelling, a red rash on the face, extreme fatigue, headaches, joint pain and temporary loss of cognitive skills.
Says one source, “Selena has been going full throttle the past few years and her Lupus is really catching up with her right now. She knows that she needs to take some time to address the disease and look after herself better if she wants to live a full and healthy life.”
I think I’ve watched enough episodes ofHouse to accurately conclude that it’s not Lupus. It’s never Lupus. Maybe a bee stung her on her inner thigh and she’s having an allergic reaction to the stinger that’s still stuck in there. I’m going to have to check it out. For science.

Kanye West gifted Kim Kardashian a one of a kind Birkin bag for Christmas. What made it so unique? Kanye covered it with nude paintings similar in style to his 2010 albumMy Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
Kim posted the bag to Instagram yesterday and even stepped out in public with it later that day. And, kudos to her, she did it all without cringing. She’s just accepted the fact that Kanye is going to make her wear and carry around stupid crap like this. It’s not like she’s going to say anything either. Have you ever tried arguing with a “real artist” like Kanye? It’d be like verbally sparring with a 4-year-old, but worse because unlike Kanye, the 4-year-old would actually use real words and speak semi-coherently.

Returning from a trip to Moscow, Paris Hilton bragged to TMZ that she’s one of the top 5 highest paid DJs in the world. Cue hysterical laughter and then cue the soul crushing realization that this might almost be true.
Sure,Forbes recently released their list of the highest paid button pushers in the world and Paris was nowhere near that list, but she did recentlysign a significant contract with one of the biggest clubs in Ibiza, Amnesia. “Sources” tell TMZ that Paris pulls in an obscene $100k to $350k an hour for her sets.
So now Paris gets paid a quarter million to push play for a setlist she probably didn’t even create. How do I get in on this? Without having to stick a penis in my mouth, I mean?

On Thursday (December 26) the Brazilian supermodel hung out with 15-year-old Karina Xavier, a fashion blogger who also just happens to be from Brazil.
After trading beauty secrets and makeup tips, Karina took to her Facebook page and blog ChicByKarina.com to post photos and commentary on her time with Bundchen.
Xavier wrote, "From the moment you surprised me, until the moment you left, I was so shocked for you being here with me! Thank you so much for taking time off of your day to come visit me and spend some time with me! Also thank you for your kind words and your very meaningful gifts! Many of you LeAnn Rimes-watchers keep noting that LeAnn has been without her diamond engagement ring for months. She hasn?t worn it in public on the red carpet or during casual outings either. Apparently, there was a blind item about it too ? something about LeAnn throwing the diamond ring at Eddie and then not being able to find it later. But what if LeAnn never threw it? What if she still has the ring, but she?s just too vain to get it resized for her finger? That?s what the Enquirer claims:
LeAnn Rimes is too chubby to wear the engagement ring Eddie Cibrian gave her three years ago ? and she?s too vain to get it resized! In December 2010, the then-scary-skinny country star couldn?t wait to show off her custom-made 5-carat sparkler when she announced her engagement to Eddie, 40.
But LeAnn, 31, slowly started gaining weight after they married, and her gorgeous rock has been noticeably missing from her ring finger in recent photos.
?I think she?s a bit in denial about the weight she?s put on,? said a source close to LeAnn. ?I wouldn?t call her fat, but she?s got a thicker, bigger body now, and I?m sure the ring became snug. If I had to guess, I?d say she?s put on 25 pounds since she married Eddie.?

From LeAnn?s absolute skinniest? yeah, she probably has put on about 25 pounds. And I think she needed those 25 pounds. I think she looks so much better now than when she posing her bones off in bikinis every weekend. Now, would that kind of minor weight gain (which is basically just her body correcting itself to a normal size) radically change her ring size? Well, my ring size changes depending on whether I?ve worked out ? if I?ve been exercising and running around, my fingers are slightly swollen (is that common?). So? maybe LeAnn?s ring size has gone up. It seems weird that she wouldn?t just get it resized though.
But! The Enquirer does say later that LeAnn got an ?early Christmas present? from Eddie a few weeks ago, and that it was another (different) diamond ring. Then she showed off this ring on her Twitter yesterday, writing, ?The bing ring…. #besties #christmaslove #husbandsROCK?. I think LeAnn?s hand is the topmost. Is that the new ring or her old engagement ring? I think it?s the new ring. Her engagement ring is oval with a diamond surround. And this ring looks sort of like an emerald cut, maybe?

Yesterday we talked about Miley Cyrus’ new video for “Adore You”. The video featured Miley rolling around under gauzy sheets and pretending to touch herself. The video leaked one day early on Christmas Day, and I remember looking at the views yesterday (they were at about 20,000) and thinking, “Oh how the ‘mighty’ have fallen.” Miley shattered the VEVO record with “Wrecking Ball” (19 million views in 24 hours), but that was because she was naked on a wrecking ball. Duh. Well Miley thinks people tuned into that video because of her awesome singing and artistry. She’s fronting like “Adore You” would have brought the same number of VEVO hits if it had been properly released on the planned day.
Riiiight. I’m guessing someone on Miley’s team (Larry Rudolph?) leaked the video a day early so they could pretend that a lack of VEVO views didn’t matter. Miley is heading out on tour in February, and “hopefully some people show up.” You’d better believe her team is nervous.
Miley has a new interview out with the New York Times. It’s been over a month since Miley did a true media blitz, and this interview puts Miley back in obnoxious form. She talks about her minstrelsy at the VMAs and says the “new Miley” is all just an act. As in … she doesn’t really sit around dropping perc and molly and smoking pot all day. Ha. She also shades Joe Jonas for saying Miley pressured him into hitting a joint. Plus Miley says she chose to lose that Vogue cover (?), and she forecasts her own irrelevance. Let’s do this:
She wasn’t racist at the VMAs: “It?s actually really funny how many people could watch my performance, and they think it was, like, sexist and degrading to women, and somehow people found that it was racist, which I couldn?t even wrap my mind around. Because I?m like: ‘How do I win? If I have white dancers, then I?m racist. If I have black girl dancers, then I?m racist.’ We know we?re not racist, and I know I?m not putting down women. People got a rise out of me saying that I was a feminist, but I am. I?m telling women be whoever you want to be.”
Her transformation is all an act: “I went from people just thinking I was, like, a baby to people thinking I?m this, like, sex freak that really just pops molly and does lines all day. It?s like, ‘Has anyone ever heard of rock ‘n’ roll?’ There’s a sex scene in pretty much every single movie, and they go, ‘Well, that?s a character.’ Well, that?s a character. I don?t really dress as a teddy bear and, like, twerk on Robin Thicke, you know?”
Forcasting her own irrelevance? “Last night, I was talking about some Madonna performances, and I said, ‘At some point, everything becomes irrelevant.’ Like, no one even thinks about when she did ‘Like a Virgin’ at the V.M.A.s. That just becomes a standard, where it?s just like, ‘Oh, that?s her thing.’ So, I feel like now that I did the V.M.A.s, that just kind of became a standard for me, and then anytime I do anything else, they?re like, ‘Miley kept it tame tonight.’”
The difficulty of being Miley: “I watch everyone?s music videos, to the point where I?m O.C.D., looking at every single thing they?re wearing and what they?re doing. Before, because I didn?t have my own personal self yet, it was hard for me to watch that kind of stuff. I was so jealous of what everyone else got to do, because I didn?t get to truly be myself yet. But now I realize how much they?re not being themselves either. You don?t have to be signed to Disney Channel to be put in a box, or to be rated PG. I?m with artists sometimes, and I?ll take a picture of them or whatever. They make me delete it. It?s insane. I?ll get someone to, like, flash me, and they?ll be, like, ‘You have to delete it!’ I had to do that when I was 14 or 15, but even then I didn?t care. Like, if someone was videoing me ripping a bong, I didn?t care, so it?s just funny to me. I?m like: ‘Dude, you’re 30. Like, why can?t someone see a picture of your [breasts]?’”
Hmm: “I don?t have a bunch of celeb friends, because I feel like some of them are a little scared of the association. This is terrible. I was backstage with [the rising pop star] Ariana Grande. I?m like, ‘Walk out with me right now and get this picture, and this will be the best thing that happens to you, because just you associating with me makes you a little less sweet.’”
On Joe Jonas blaming her for his pot smoking: “If you want to smoke weed, you?re going to smoke weed. There?s nothing that two little girls are going to get you to do that you don?t want to do. I thought maybe he was saying that like it was going to make him look badass. We were so young that it?s actually like, ‘How did you get peer pressured by me?’”
Did she really lose a Vogue cover? “I can’t say too much. But it was where I was kind of going to have to do this trade-off, and I wasn’t willing to. Right now, me doing any kind of cover for anything that’s like, a Seventeen or Teen Vogue or whatever, the way that I talk isn’t the way that people that are 17 really understand. There was a thing that Kurt Cobain said, something like, ‘There’s a special place in hell for people that glamorize drugs,’ and I never want to be that person that’s, like, talking to 16- and 17-year-olds and being like, ‘Smoke weed.’ I?ve got a little sister. I don’t want her to smoke weed, and it’s not because I think weed is bad, but … she?ll make the choice. Or even, like, my language. I don?t know how to not talk the way I talk. I would rather have everything I do be 100 percent honest. I just want to be who I am.”

Miley is just full of contradictions. She’s says everything she does is “100 percent honest,” but somehow she’s still just playing “a character.” I don’t really understand what Miley’s saying about her lost Vogue cover. Miley wants us to think she gave the foam finger to Anna Wintour, but it’s coming out all wrong. Or maybe the Vogue cover was really a Teen Vogue cover all along. In that case, Miley doesn’t understand that all of her antics are influencing teen girls whether she covers their damn magazine or not. They read the internet where all these interviews show up. They see photos of her at events where she’s wearing nipple pasties and thongs. She’s so ridiculous.
Oh and Miley tweeted this before-and-after picture of the Cyrus family. It’s comforting to know that Billy Ray’s facial hair never changes.

Ah, what a year Kaley Cuoco has had. One year ago, I probably wouldn?t have been able to pick her out a line-up. Then she started banging Henry Cavill, then Henry dumped her in less than a month, and then just weeks later, she was with Ryan Sweeting, a barely ?professional? tennis player. Just a few months into the relationship with Ryan, they got engaged. The tabloids keep saying the wedding will happen at any moment. I?m sure we?ll hear about it when it does. For now, Ryan and Kaley spent their first Christmas together and she documented it on Instagram ? plus, the paps magically found her on December 26th too.
Cheers to that! Kaley Cuoco and her fiance Ryan Sweeting made it through the holiday season just fine — with a glass of wine in hand! The couple celebrated their very first Christmas together this year, and shared their excitement via Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
“1st Christmas together! Killed it!” the 28-year-old Big Bang Theory actress wrote. Alongside the caption, Cuoco shared a picture of the engaged couple celebrating in the kitchen while holding up wine glasses.
One day earlier, the stunning blonde shared two pictures of her beau on Christmas Eve. “1st Christmas together @ryansweething ,” she wrote, with a picture of the two embracing in front of a Christmas tree. She also posted a snapshot of the two posing with her younger sister Briana Cuoco, 25, who appeared as a contestant on this year’s The Voice.
“Merry Christmas everyone! Santa visited us last night at dinner. It was awesome,” the actress wrote. The photograph showed Sweeting, 26, sitting in the middle of the two sisters as Saint Nick snuck up behind him.
Us Weekly exclusively broke news in September that Cuoco and Sweeting got engaged after three months of dating. In November, Us exclusively revealed that the couple have plans to say “I do” on New Year’s Eve. Cuoco and the tennis player plan to tie the knot on Dec. 31 in Southern California in a fire-and-ice-themed holiday party.

Will it last? Eh. I?ve actually come around on them a little bit. I thought the loved-up relationship and the engagement were all part of Kaley?s ?Screw you, Superman, YOU ARE THE ONE WITH THE PROBLEM? PR campaign. And maybe that?s the way it started out, but I?ve got to sort of admire the fact that Kaley and Ryan seem well-suited for each other. He seems like an easy-going K-Fed type, she seems a bit neurotic and ambitious ? as long as they play those parts, who knows? They could last forever.
Also, I did want to tell you one nice thing about Kaley: she surprised her mom just before Christmas with a fancy Lexus SUV (with a giant red bow!). I know this because the paps documented the whole thing.

Was he just lured in by some post-Christmas discounts? Or did Kanye not get what he wanted for Christmas so he made Kim go out shopping with him the next morning? Anyway, pay close attention to what Kim is wearing and what she?s carrying. First of all? I love that coat. Say what you will about Kanye forcing Kim to wear Riccardo Tisci?s passive-aggressive designs, but Kanye has greatly improved Kim?s coat game. Next, take a gander at Kim?s Birkin bag. Can you see it? I?ll give you a better look:
Kim posted this Instagram photo with these hashtags: #HandPaintedGeorgeCondo #HermesBirkin #OneofOne #ChristmasPresentFromYeezy. So, Yeezington gave her an obscene, not-pretty, hand-painted hellscape Birkin bag for Christmas. And Kim was so pleased that she just had to carry it on their first post-Christmas outing. Which is what I would do too, just use it on December 26th, then find some excuse to not carry it ever again. ?Oh, baby, the brown Birkin doesn?t go with my all-black outfit!? Or: ?Riccardo made me a really cute Givenchy purse, I think I?ll carry that instead.? And on and on. The real question is? does George Condo (who has worked with Kanye many times before) kind of passively-aggressively hate Kim too? Also: Yeezington should have just gotten her a cute piece of jewelry. Like, a bracelet or a necklace or something. She would have loved a fancy charm bracelet, I?m sure.

Carrie Underwood has consistently said, for years now, that she doesn’t want children with her husband, hockey star Mike Fisher. She’s referred to their busy schedules, along with the fact that they both travel often for their careers. Carrie calls her dogs her kids, which is cute! I appreciate the fact that Carrie is honest about not feeling ready to be a mother or just not wanting that responsibility. Only what if her husband wants kids? According to Star Magazine, Mike has been holding out for a family and is upset that Carrie still doesn’t want to have a baby. They’ve been married for about three and a half years now. They supposedly never see each other and when they do, things are incredibly strained between them.
“Between his schedule with the Nashville Predators and her rehearsals [for The Sound of Music] they barely saw each other the last three months,” explains a friend close to the 30 year-old country queen. “When they did steal some alone time, Carrie was wiped out physically and emotionally. The ordeal left Mike feeling neglected and ignored.”
According to the source, Mike, 33, only put up with Carrie’s consuming role because she promised to work on starting a family when the show finally wrapped. But despite getting blasted for her wooden acting and stiff presence on the NBC special, other musical theater offers are now flooding in – and Carrie is reneging on her baby promise.
“Mike is fuming,” adds the source. “Carrie is thrilled about all the opportunities, but she’s very conflicted and confused. She and Mike are barely speaking.”

I love how it’s Carrie’s fault for working, and Mike “only put up with it” because she promised him a family. It has nothing to do with the fact that she brings in millions of dollars as one of the world’s top country stars. I hope that angle of Star’s story isn’t true. Carrie doesn’t owe it to the guy to stay home and wait while he’s at work. She’s always been dedicated to her career, Mike knew what he signed up for.
I looked through Carrie’s Twitter and Instagram and she hasn’t posted any photos of Mike since September. She sent a tweet to him recently, retweeting a cute classic family photo of his, but that’s it. He likewise hasn’t tweeted any photos of her since the summer. So I tend to think that something is up between them, but who knows. We’ve been hearing rumors about their relationship problems for years. The last we heard, Carrie was getting too close to also-married Brad Paisley. Whatever is going on, I do think that Carrie and Mike will hang in there. She’s not one to let the cracks show at all.

After a report that Wilmer had been ring shopping for Demi, HollywoodLife.com dug a little deeper and spoke with an employee at Tiffany, who confirmed it all!
“Yes, Wilmer did buy a ring here,” an employee told us exclusively. “We all talked about it afterwards because he was so darn nice!”
While she couldn’t confirm that it was an engagement ring, the Tiffany employee did tell us it was extremely stunning.
“He chose a really classic, beautiful ring,” she said. “Demi is going to be a happy girl when she gets it. He didn’t say what it was for but he was really excited and happy — he seemed like any other guy getting ready to pop the question.”
While Wilmer bought the ring back in November, there?s no word yet if he’s given it to her or not — we know she can keep things quiet!

Here’s a sobering thought around the holidays: Paris Hilton makes between $100,000 to $350,000 per hour when she does a DJ set. In a recent chat with a paparazzo at LAX, Paris mentioned in her monotone voice that “I’m one of the top five DJs in the world.” TMZ provides a link to Forbes’ top paid DJs, which doesn’t include Paris at this point but probably will soon. In the top five are Calvin Harris at $46 million, Tisto at $32 million, David Guetta at $30 million, Swedish House Mafia at $25 million, and Deadmaus at $21 million. Chances are high Paris made around $20 million for DJing this year and is using this list as comparison, noting that she’s earning as much as DJs who have worked in the industry for years and are seasoned musicians and producers.
Paris started DJing in the summer of 2012, drawing on her extensive experience dating DJ Afrojack for about a year. (Incidentally Afrojack is at #7 in that Forbes list.) Celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson described Paris Hilton’s entry into the field as similar to her “calling myself a doctor from like reading WebMD twice.”
It doesn’t matter if Paris’ competition doesn’t take her seriously, because she rakes in the dough. She’s not relying on her vast music knowledge or mixing skill to get bodies in the door, it’s all name recognition. TMZ notes that Paris is likely telling the truth about her earnings, because she has a fat contract with a top club in Ibiza, Amnesia, and is headlining at The Bellagio in Las Vegas this New Year’s Eve.
I looked for videos of Paris DJing and apart from one last year in which she seems pretty incompetent, all I could find was this promotional video from the Ibiza club. She’s good at dancing around, I have to say, but it’s telling to me that they put their own track on top of the footage.

Shedding a slightly uncharacteristic smile, Kristen Stewart grabbed cup of coffee with a group of friends in Echo Park, CA last weekend.
Although it wasn't a full-fledged, beaming grin, Kristen has more than a few things to be happy about. As previously reported, the 23-year-old is officially the new face of Chanel's Paris-Dallas 2013 Mtiers d'Art Collection, set for release in May 2014.

Taking a little time to pose for a few holiday pics, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard snapped a cute Christmas pic of the two of them together with their dogs in matching holiday pajamas.
The mother of one shared a picture of them together via Twitter on Christmas Day, (December 25), captioning it, "Roll call! Boys in green, girls in red: @daxshepard1."
The celebrity sweethearts stood in front of their Christmas tree holding up their two pet dogs, and giving the camera a cute, "glad-to-be-married" smile.
And although their daughter Lincoln, who turns 9 months on December 28th, wasn't present in the photo, they still had fun, Dax adding a quick description, writing, "To all the haters who think I ain't hard since leaving Detroit, deal with this sh-t,"

Spreading Christmas cheer to the men and women who serve our country abroad, Kellie Pickler began her seventh USO Tour on Friday (December 20), traveling overseas for nine days to the Middle East.
The country cutie visited two countries and performed five shows, spending time with United States troops stationed in those areas as part of the USO's new campaign "Every Moment Counts," which encourages Americans to show their support for the troops by visiting USOmoments.org in order to learn about the challenges soldiers and their families face, was well as to make donations to the USO.
Posting a fun picture on her Facebook page, the 27-year-old wrote, "Kyle and I flying high in the cockpit of a C-17.can you spot the ultimate photo bomb?!? #USOtour."
She put up another, sharing a cute moment with another soldier, and writing, "Not every Christmas do you get to fist bump a soldier while dangling your feet off the back of a Chinook flying in Afghanistan. Merry Christmas from the Middle East."
The "Someone Somewhere Tonight" singer also released a statement about "Every Moment Counts" campaign, saying, "The USO tours and programs I've been a part of have definitely been the highlight of my career, so I'm honored to join the USO in helping to raise awareness about the many precious moments that our troops and their families sacrifice due to their commitment and service to our country."
Kellie continued, "Every Moment Counts is especially close to my heart because it not only recognizes their personal sacrifices, but gives Americans the opportunity to thank our troops with a special gift of a moment."
