| Britney Spears made a very brief appearance on the Daytime Beauty Awards carpet | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

After Britney Spears? breakdown circa 2008-09, she took some time away from the spotlight, and then she gradually returned some new music, some tightly managed tours, and then the Las Vegas residency. The justification at the time was that Britney likes to work, that working and dancing helps her stay healthy, that as long as everything around her is steadily managed, she likes the atmosphere and she loves performing, no matter what. I?ve always had my doubts about that, quite honestly. I think for years now, Britney prefers one-on-one interaction, and she prefers her life out of the spotlight entirely. She doesn?t want to be on a stage anymore, at least that?s my feeling.
Britney walked the red carpet at the Annual Daytime Beauty Awards in LA with her boyfriend Sam Asghari on Friday. She?s been brunette for weeks now and it?s not a great dye job she would look much better with a Jennifer Aniston-esque caramel bronde. But that?s not the point! The point is that Britney looks like a hostage in many of the photos from the event. Apparently, she was not happy to be there and she walked off the carpet very quickly:
Britney Spears abruptly exited a red carpet appearance ahead of her fireworks court battle with her father Jamie over her concervatorship. The 37-year-old pop megastar was there to support her handsome 25-year-old boyfriend Sam Asghari at The 2nd Annual Daytime Beauty Awards in Los Angeles on Friday but left within seconds.
She posed on the red carpet for less than a minute before telling her publicist I just want to go and walking straight back to their SUV. The Toxic hitmaker looked visibly uncomfortable during her brief time on the red carpet as she kept in constant communication with her publicist. Britney attempted to put on a brave face as she joined her hunky Iranian model beau who was being honored with Outstanding Achievement in Fitness.
[From The Daily Mail]
This is what I mean for years now, even when Britney is on stage, allegedly doing the thing she loves so much, she just seems uncomfortable. I think she?s just over it and she?s been over it for years. Yes, you could make the argument that the recent drama with her father/conservatorship is to blame for her discomfort on the carpet, but doesn?t it just feel like? Britney wants to go away and be a private person now?
As for Britneys conservatorship pretty much as soon as the investigation into Jamies alleged assault of his grandson was over and no charges were brought, Jamie went to court to be reinstated as Britneys conservator. The court agreed. Whats weird is that a source told People Magazine that Britney and Jamie are still not speaking after the Sean incident? and ?Britney is still upset about it. Im still upset about it too. Im upset about ALL of this.

| Why are people criticizing Patricia Arquette for using a clutch at the Emmys? | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
There are so many conversations about ?cancel culture? and what celebrities are really responsible for. When the conversation turns to fashion and which fashion designers are problematic, and whether celebrities should avoid certain designers, the conversation gets even weirder, honestly. For example: I?m happy to ?cancel? Dolce & Gabbana. The designers, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, have repeatedly said awful things about politics in general, the LGBTQ community and children conceived through IVF. They deserve to be canceled. But I still see tons of people wearing D&G. Do those people deserve to be ?canceled? as well? Not really. I wish people would pay more attention, but I get it people are fking busy and not everything is some huge conspiracy.
All of which brings me to this, one of the weirdest fking fashion/cancel culture stories I?ve ever seen. Page Six is pointing out that Patricia Arquette carried a clutch to the Emmys, and the clutch was designed by? Joss Sackler. Joss Sackler is married to David Sackler, who is? a former board member of Purdue Pharma, one of the companies being blamed for the opioid crisis. Is this not one of the strangest issues?
Nobody was shocked to see Patricia Arquette win yet another prestigious award at Sunday night?s Emmys. But some were stunned by what she was carrying at the awards show? a bag by fashion designer Joss Sackler.
As Page Six has reported, celebrities including Courtney Love have recently shunned Sackler?s LBV line since Sackler is part of the family behind Purdue Pharma ? which has infamously made billions from OxyContin and allegedly fueled the opioid epidemic. Sackler?s married to scion and former board member, David Sackler. So it raised eyebrows in the fashion world when Arquette ? whose brother David has struggled with addiction ? was carrying a dramatic LBV purse on the red carpet before the ceremony. It?s not clear if Arquette, who won an Emmy for her role in ?The Act,? or her handlers were aware of the piece?s provenance, but reps for the actress and a person who?s previously been listed as her stylist didn?t get back to us when we asked for comment.
[From Page Six]
Again, this isn?t a clear-cut situation like Dolce & Gabbana, where a designer was on the record saying terrible sh-t. This is a case where a handbag designer is married to a man who used to be on a board of a fked up company, and? how dare Patricia Arquette? Now I understand those people who are like ?cancel culture has gone too far.? To be clear, it?s totally fine if people don?t want to associate with the Sackler family and if you want to cancel them, so be it (and I agree, they?ve profited off of and sustained the opioid crisis). But all Patricia Arquette did was carry a purse to the Emmys. She probably didn?t even buy the purse it was probably just something loaned out to her stylist. My lord.

| Joaquin Phoenix walked out of an interview when asked about 'Joker' inspiring incels | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Joaquin Phoenix does not enjoy doing press. It is known. No one can expect Joaquin to spill his guts and give some kind of in-depth interview as promotion. He?s just not that guy. But what happens when he?s the lead character and the film is ?controversial? because it seems like an apologia to white male terrorists? Well, Joaquin still isn?t going to answer your questions. So it is with Joker, the ?origin story? of the villain from the Batman universe. Joker has already gone through the Venice Film Festival (where it won the Golden Lion) and TIFF. The festival reviews were actually pretty good, but literally everyone writing about the movie has repeatedly pointed out the problem: that Joker seems like Incel: The Movie.
So Joaquin is the star of this film which may or may not have an extremely problematic message, a film which may or may not inspire white dudes to feel even more aggrieved about how they are misunderstood and sad that they don?t run everything, and that they too should turn to violence. Will Joaquin be able to answer questions about these difficult subjects with any kind of nuance and thoughtfulness? Or will he? walk out of an interview the first time a journalist asks him about all of that? The latter. Joaquin walked out an interview with The Telegraph the minute he was asked about whether the film could end up inspiring white-bro violence. Because the Telegraph is paywalled, here?s Gizmodo?s summary/excerpt:
Because Todd Phillips? Joker tells the relatively grounded story of a disaffected white man who goes on a terroristic rampage because he feels as if he?s been dealt a bad hand in life, there?s been an ongoing discussion about whether the movie has the potential to inspire certain viewers to model themselves (idealistically) after the titular villain.
While the Joker movie is meant to be a critique of people like its central character, it?s easy to see how it could also be interpreted as a celebration of them?but, apparently, that idea never quite occurred to Joaquin Phoenix or Warner Bros. During a recent interview for a profile in the Telegraph, Phoenix allegedly stopped the conversation dead in its tracks after being asked whether he?d given any thought to the possibility that audiences might take the wrong message away from the movie. Rather than stopping to mull the question over, Phoenix simply left, much in the same way he was alleged to often do while shooting the film itself. From the Telegraph:
?Yet Phoenix doesn?t seem to have considered this kind of question at all. So when I put it to him ? aren?t you worried that this film might perversely end up inspiring exactly the kind of people it?s about, with potentially tragic results? ? his fight-or-flight response kicks in. Mine too, just about.
It takes an hour?s peace-brokering with a Warner Bros PR to get things back on track. Phoenix panicked, he later explains, because the question genuinely hadn?t crossed his mind before ? then asks me, not for the last time, what an intelligent answer might have sounded like.?
And no, Phoenix never answered the question.
[From Gizmodo]
?It takes an hour?s peace-brokering with a Warner Bros PR to get things back on track. Phoenix panicked, he later explains, because the question genuinely hadn?t crossed his mind before.? For the love of God. First off, just how fking ?difficult? is Joaquin Phoenix that he would walk out of an interview and refuse to come back for AN HOUR while the studio publicist negotiated with him and the Telegraph journalist? And all because Joaquin was asked a fairly mundane question about the film?s message? Every review coming out of Toronto and Venice brought up this idea that the film could inspire white terrorists and that it could be interpreted as an apologia to toxic white men. It was a BIG conversation. But Joaquin is like a babe in the woods he never heard any of that, I guess. Yeah, right.

| Kourtney Kardashian is back together with Younes Bendjima, in case you care | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Oh thank gawd! Kourtney Kardashian has found her way back to her ex, Younes Bendjima. For those of you who forgot who that is the minute Kourt dumped him, Younes is a 26-year old model who dated Kourtney beginning in 2016. Even though we all thought they?d been done by lunchtime, they two stuck it out for almost two years. Well, now, it looks like we might need to prepare for round two after the couple was happily papped in Los Angeles, holding hands and canoodling over lunch.
Kourtney Kardashian appears to have gotten back together with her ex boyfriend, Algerian model Younes Bendjima.
DailyMail.com has obtained exclusive photos of the 40-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star holding hands with the 26-year-old model as they enjoyed a day out in Los Angeles.
Younes went to her Calabasas mansion to pick her up, then drove her black Range Rover to downtown LA with her in the passenger seat. They then enjoyed an Italian lunch.
Next they hit the Blum And Poe Art Gallery in Culver City to took in a new exhibit.
Kourtney beamed as she walked next to the star.
The sister of Kim and Khloe had on a short, dark green T-shirt dress that hugged her petite 5ft frame and showed off her toned legs.
The dress was also slightly see-through flashing her black bra.
She added white sneakers and a small white shoulder bag as she wore skinny black sunglasses.
Younes was almost unrecognizable in a white T-shirt with a blue picture and maroon slacks with sneakers.
He added a bucket hat and black sunglasses while carrying his cell phone.
[From The Daily Mail]
Okay, I embellished with the ?canoodling? part. But is it so hard to imagine that there was some canoodling? Kourt strikes me as a canoodler. Alas, I don?t have the photos described in the excerpt, but you can click the link to see them. They are? not Younes? best look. I swear, that man fights the hot as much as he can, which is an odd choice for a model. However, the point of this post is not questionable fashion choices but the fact that these two love birds have reconnected. Give me one sec while I look up why they parted in the first place. Oh, that?s right, he cheated on her. Kourt-ney! When are you going to learn, girl?
Or maybe Kourtney has learned, and she doesn?t care. She?s admitted turning 40 was hard on her, maybe hooking up with Younes is self-care. At least hes marginally older than the last model she dated. If she took him back knowing what he?s capable of, there?s a chance she?s fine with it and has no designs on being exclusive herself. In that case, get it. Younes is young, hot and fairly worldly ?he?d be a fun fling. I just don?t want her to get her heart broken again, because she believed this time it would be different.
Besides, hooking up with Younes is kind of ideal. When she and her ex-Scott Disick put their significant others down for their naps, they can discuss co-parenting their actual children.

| Keira Knightley welcomed her second child this month, a daughter named Delilah | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Keira Knightley?s second pregnancy was very undercover. Nothing was announced, but she wasn?t hiding either she attended several fashion events in May and June where she had a noticeable bump and that was that. Her first pregnancy and birth was quiet-ish too going from memory, we didn?t find out that she had given birth to her daughter Edie until weeks later, and it was months before we got confirmation on Edie?s name. The British papers figured out that Keira had given birth to her second child when she and James Righton went for a walk on September 13th in London with a baby stroller. And now we know the name. But of course the Daily Mail has to make it as weird as possible:
Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton have reportedly named their newborn baby Delilah. On September 13, the couple confirmed that they had welcomed their second child by taking the tot on a stroll in London.
Although Delilah is traditionally a girls name, Keira, 34, and James, 36, were spotted taking their baby for a walk in a blue pram and they have yet to confirm the childs gender. According to the Mail On Sunday, rocker James was overheard telling friends all about the baby at a Hugo Boss yacht party on Thursday.
[From The Daily Mail]
On one side, I guess we could applaud the DM for perhaps trying to modernize and acknowledge that they shouldn?t gender-stereotype just because a baby is named Delilah. On the other side, they are seriously confused by the fact that the baby stroller was BLUE and BLUE IS FOR BOYS.
As for the name Delilah, I love it and I think it ?fits? with Edie. Edie and Delilah sound like sisters. Delilah Righton sounds very British too! Florence and the Machine have a GREAT song called ?Delilah,? and I kind of wonder if that was an influence too? I?m going to be free and I?m going to be fine
